After a hefty and hearty meal, along with propping his feet up, Justin and his Pokemon were to the point of revitalization that sitting inside, even though they'd just conquered Ilex, they were ready to go on outside and face whatever Goldenrod had to face them.. with? Steaks were busy digesting and drinks sloshed around in their bellies as they started out of the Pokemon Center. Simba purred from happiness, especially since they were all fed and happy. Walking around Ilex so much had tuckered all of them out, so it would be a nice change of pace to battle instead of walk.
Photos were also to be taken, of course. Although, the team as well as Justin were all curious to see what kind of Pokemon lay outside of the area they just travelled through. Ilex didn't have anything promising, so what kind of new team members would they find and engage in battle with? Simba sent a shock through his fur, a common thing now-a-days. He was just excited is all. It seemed as though all their nervous ticks coursed through their bodies as Justin and his team took their steps into the grass. It was almost like taking that first journey step, except... more experienced. The excitement and nervousness was there none the less. As well as Adrenaline.

As Justin and company trudged through the grassy plains of Route 34, content from their last meal, they were watched carefully by the creatures that called this place home. It wasn't too often that travelers came out of the Ilex forest in one piece. The Pokemon of the area watched from the shadows, wary of the clearly powerful trainer. However, one Pokemon had a plan to prove its mettle to the others.
A Drowzee had been following the trainer for several minutes. It had noticed Justin and his Pokemon leaving the nearby Pokemon Center, and had what it believed to be a flawless plan. The trainer and his Pokemon appeared to have just eaten a big meal, and would obviously be sleepy. The Drowzee would hypnotize them from afar, putting them to sleep. When the trainer and his monsters were down, then the Drowzee would strike. Smirking to itself, the wild Pokemon began to set its plan in action. Waving its hands in a circular motion, it followed Justin and Simba, trying to lull them to sleep.
But Simba noticed that something was off. Feeling extremely sleepy all of a sudden, the Luxio growled, fighting to stay awake. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the Drowzee following them. Snarling angrily, Simba roared at the creature, startling it and breaking the hypnosis. The Drowzee glared at the Luxio, cursing the failure of its plan. Oh well. Time for Plan B: battle the trainer into submission.
A wild Drowzee (level 19) is trying to set Justin and company to sleep! Choose a Pokemon to battle!

Justin had started to feel a bit sleep, and it was only when Simba started growling and kicking up a ruckus did he realize he'd fallen prey to a Pokemon's attack. He then realized what the Drowzee was doing, and Simba wasn't about to stand for it. Preparing himself, Simba crouched low, intending to strike the Drowzee where it hurt. However, the photographer was aware that the young lion was, er, drowsy, so he shook his head in protest. Nah, Simba, you'er pretty sleepy. I don't want you to get hurt, so we'll bring someone fresh into the battle. He concluded. The lion simply nodded.
When the pokeball Justin had chose opened, the mammoth Gyarados loomed over the Drowzee at hand. Dayn's lip curled with a devilish smirk. It would seem as though this Pokemon had been messing with his trainer, and the Gyarados was not about to stand for it. The neck of the creature seemed to swivel like a charmed snake as he prepared to strike with whatever Justin ordered. Alright, Dayn, give 'em a bite attack. He ordered, and the creature smirked before charging forward in hopes of attacking un-sleepily.

Drowzee seemed confident that it could take out whatever Justin sent out to fight it. Had he simply let his Luxio rush in, though, it would have made things easy. The lion was already sleepy; a quick Hypnosis would have taken care of it. But the Psychic Pokémon's courage quickly waned when Dayn's huge, serpentine form burst free, the intimidating Gyarados' smirk instantly filling Drowzee with a mixture of fear and regret.
It had seen a few Gyarados before, fished out by anglers and quick to flatten the unlucky humans. They were unforgiving tyrants and did not hesitate to remind their antagonists they were powerful. Drowzee shuddered and tore its eyes away from Dayn, hurriedly trying to make new plans to deal with the great big serpent. This proved to be rather daft, however...

Dayn had lashed out, lightning quick, and sunk his teeth into the Drowzee's abdomen. The Psychic type let out a guttural squeal of pain and thrashed about, only to be tossed unceremoniously into the grass, where it fainted upon hitting the ground. Growling in contentment, Dayn turned back to Justin, curious if his trainer further required his skills in disposing of pests.
Congratulations! You defeated the wild Drowzee!that was just cruel The spoils of war are as follows; Dayn grew by 2 levels and is now Level 25! Gained +2 Happiness! [/blockquote]

Justin looked up at Gyarados, after the battle had finished (er, lack of battle would probably be a better statement) and patted him on the hide as soon as he was close enough. Good job, Dayn. Rather quick, but a battle was a battle. He said. Gyarados gave a nod and shot Justin a look that said something along the lines of 'That'll teach him to mess with us'.
Justin returned the serpent to his capsule, and looked about to see if there were any other Pokemon before deciding that it was time to move to the next area. Area being across the grass, he guessed? He switched sides, cautious of another Pokemon attempting to attack them or put them to sleep. Justin sure as heck didn't want to be asleep, or poisoned. That would suck. It did before and he was sure it would again. So, he wandered about again, Simba at his side.

Luckily being able to escape the clutches of the Drowzee with little trouble, the sleepy trainer and his equally as tired lion continued their trek through the wondrous Route 34. The grass patches which bordered the dirt path swayed gently from the salty breeze of the nearby stretch of ocean. It sure was better than being stuck inside that blasted Ilex Forest, that was for sure, with nothing but trees surrounding you and the odd poisonous fungi ready to be eaten by the unsuspecting. But outside, something was slightly amiss. The sky above was that of a soft blue but at the same time, a humid wave seemed to have cloaked the area. Clouds were also starting to form in the air, dark and ominous ones at that. Being accompanied by an awkward heat could also mean that perhaps a thunder storm was starting to form overhead?
Nevertheless, Pokemon hunting and training were more important than a bit of rain and clashes of thunder and lightning. It was part of being a trainer to withstand such treatment from mother nature in the first place. With Justin still stepping around cautiously to try and avoid alerting any creatures, a single step was enough to grasp the attention of a particular foal. Sensitive ears already twitching due to the change of weather, the head of a young Ponyta popped out from between the blades of grass, hazelnut coloured eyes scanning around to try and see what all the movement was about. Then, it saw the blonde male, his body turned the other way. With a great umph of energy, the Ponyta lifted itself to it's hooves, nostrils snorting and ears flicking from side to side as it tried to retain it's balance. Not looking particular energetic nor vicious, the Ponyta merely released a single neigh, dragging a front hoof across the ground before it.
A wild Ponyta (Level 16) has appeared to battle! Please select a Pokemon.

Justin and Simba travelled about, until they were approached by another Pokemon Justin had never seen before.
He certainly knew what it was, but he'd only seen pictures. And those pictures, unfortunately, were not his pictures.
Ponyta were popular Pokemon, as well as their evolutions Rapidash. Immediately his hands itched for his camera, so he swooped his hand down to the bag and immediately popped it out, as well as a Pokeball. Simba jumped to the side so he wouldn't be in the way when Freyja, the Trapinch, emerged, jaws snapping. Freyja... ummm.. Bulldoze? He murmured, half concentrated in his camera, attempting to take as many pictures of the popular Pokemon as possible, as well as in battle. Freyja and Simba exchanged an amused glance before Freyja prepared to attack.

The young Ponyta flicked its head unaware of the looming danger that the Trapinch presented to it. All it knew was that this was a battle, and the colt loved to battle. With a happy whinny, the Ponyta charged forward, its fiery mane extending and blazing in a wheel around it. The young colt slammed hard into Freyja, knocking her back a bit and singeing her nose. Pleased with itself, the Ponyta trotted back to its side of the battlefield, head held high as if it had already won the battle.
But Freyja was not amused. That attack had only served to irritate the large-jawed sand monster. Glaring at the haughty colt, the Trapinch prepared her own attack. She charged forward, stomping on the ground with all her might to throw the Ponyta off. With her head lowered, her snout dug into the ground, kicking up a great deal of grass and dirt. The Ponyta noticed far too late, and yelped as it turned around, only to be knocked into the air by Freyja slinging her head up under the horse's hooves. The attack was a far cry from the weaker fire attack that the Ponyta had delivered. The young colt whinnied once in pain, before collapsing, completely drained of energy.

((Forget Faint attack, please))
Freyja was already finished with the battle. Impressed, Justin raised an eyebrow before crouching down to pat the Pokemon's head as she wobbled towards hin in somewhat of a victory stumble. He couldn't help but grin. Hey, at least she approached him and allowed him to pet her. They'd been making great progress, so hopefully Freyja was coming to accept him now. Everything was doing alright so far. Great job, girl. He grinned, tapping the pokeball to her maw to give her a rest while he stood back up and brushed off his pants.
His eyes scanned the area. It was still light, so they might as well get some more training in while they could before they got another nice rest at the Pokemon Center. No rest for a trainer, eh? Simba let out a 'mrow' of a yawn, but padded alongside Justin. Is that from the Drowzee, or are you just tired? He chuckled, amused. Simba rolled his eyes and rubbed his head against Justin's leg as they padded along, looking for more Pokemon.

As Justin kept walking he came across a small camp ground. There were a lot of trainer’s out and about since the day was so beautiful. Justin and his Pokemon were all quickly welcomed by everyone as they walked through the camp ground. It was clear it was not a major camp ground or anything rather just a bunch of kids having the same hobby deciding to come together for a couple of days to hang out. Boys and girls of all ages seemed to be walking around the area. It was a beautiful camp ground with an open spacious area for tents, a small pond on the far side, and a large fire pit that was in the center of the area. As Justin eventually made his way across the camp site he was stopped abruptly as a young boy approached the up and coming trainer. He wore green like many of the campers in the area and had a big smile on his face. It was clear he was interested in talking with Justin. Hey! Hi. My name is Tod. I hope that you are having a good afternoon. Is it not so lovely out today? If you are up for it me and my Psyduck would love to have a Pokemon battle with you. Hope you are up for it. He had pulled out his own Pokeball and thrown it into the air. Like all other Pokeballs the red light shot through the air, and a yellow Psyduck appeared at the feat of Tod and Justin. Camper Tod and his Psyduck Level 25 have challenged you to battle! Choose A Pokemon.

The Campsite was fun-looking, so Justin and simba had decided to explore it a bit. The campers were all nice, even offering him some water and food. Simba agreed to it, while Justin browse'd about. He pulled out his camera and snapped a few photos of the campers with their Pokemon, and even offered to print some and bring them for the campers to enjoy when they were finished with the campsite. However, Justin was then approached by a trainer who wished to battle. His Psyduck waddled alongside him. Judging by his belt, it was his only Pokemon. Since Simba was already out, he went ahead and called him back to Justin's side.
Hey, Simba, c'mere. Up for a battle? He asked, And the Luxio nodded, bounding over to the side of Justin. The lion rubbed against Justin's leg before jumping forward in front of him, tail swishing as he prepared for battle. Luxio would be faster, so they'd get the first hit more than likely. Hey, give 'em a spark will ya? he grinned, camera ready for the static explosion. Luxio bounded forward, attempting to hit first.

Tod grinned as Justin accepted his challenge, a playful fist pumping up into the air in excitement, "Awesome! Then let's get to it! Good luck Simba, hehheh!" he encouraged the young lion nicely with a grin and thumbs up. Little did the camper know that it was he who needed the luck. Stepping back with his Psyduck to create a bit more space for the battle, the young boy waved over to his friends who were starting to huddle together to make a bit of an audience. Many were giggling really, knowing that Tod had no chance against an electric type. "Alriiiight! Psyduck, move in for a Water Pulse!" The boy started, his slow brained duck merely tilting his head to one side at first, almost as if questioning the move itself and if it even knew it. If anything, it just gave the already speedy Luxio a head start, a subtle grin spreading across his snout.
Waving his tail slowly from side to side, frantic sparks of electric were clearly building up as the four legging creature began focusing it's power. Frowning it's brow as the current became adequate, it knew now was the time to release. Taking a single hop forward, Simba roared and released his pent up electricity, powerful sparks slicing through the air and approaching the Psyduck at an incredible rate. Widening his eyes in surprise, the duck cried out in confusion, quickly turning into quacks of pain as the electricity rippled through it's body. Quickly stopping as he felt the Psyduck had been tortured enough, Simba's eyes seemed to glint at the now fried duck, smoke raising off it's body. Gasps were heard from all around, many wondering if Psyduck had made it. "C-CMON BUDDY!" Tod suddenly called out but it was over. With a mere sniff from Simba, the destroyed Psyduck fell to his back, foot twitching erratically.
Rubbing his hand over his hair and dislodging his hat, Tod appeared upset as he was soon surrounded with playful giggles from his friends. He was well and truly shown up. "Better look next time Toddy. Think carefully about who you challenge next time. Travelers have WAY more experience than some like you." A girl replied sarcastically with hands on her hips, the two girls giggling beside her before everyone wandered back off to carry on with their camp duties. Sighing and returning his Psyduck, the boy stepped forward and handed Justin some money. "Haha, I really did have no chance! One day, I wanna become as strong as you Simba! Well, I gotta go and sort out my tent. Laters!" With a grin, wave and nod, the boy ran off. Atleast he wasn't too heart broken about losing so easily.

Keep that happy attitude, kid!
Justin called out before walking alongside Simba to leave the campsite. Well that was a quick short battle, just like Justin liked it. That meant they could fit more into a day, and that meant more pictures for Justin. Although, he hadn't snapped any of that last one. Simba's triumph would merely be a memory in their heads, but that was fine as well. Taking a quick glance at the campsite one last time, he stepped out of it and back into the wild plains of the Goldenrod area prior to the city. Ilex was just a bit aways. Lets see what else we can find. Maybe we'll take spin down at the National park and train Rhoan up there or soemthing. He suggested. After this, of course.

After their quick match, Simba and Justin's presence was made known to the entirety of the Pokemon on Route 34. Most of the Pokemon could sense the power radiating off of Simba, and they dared not to challenge the fierce predator.
All but one.
One Pokemon took notice of the Luxio's strength, and was intrigued by what it saw. It had never seen a Pokemon such as Simba before, having never left the comfort of this route. After all, there was no need for it to leave. This place was its home, its hunting grounds, and one does not simply leave such wonderful hunting grounds. One also does not let random Pokemon into its hunting grounds, especially ones that threaten to usurp one's power. So as Justin and Simba trudged along in the sweltering heat, a Zangoose stepped forward, blocking their path. Hissing angrily, the beast flexed its claws, silently warning the two to turn back, or be forced to fight.
An angry Zangoose (level 18) blocks your way! Choose a Pokemon for battle! (Weather will be sunny for the duration of the match)

((OMGZ, must catch xD))
Justin was trudging about with Simba, but then a hideous sound caught his ears. As he looked behind him, when he turned to face the path once more a Zangoose was blocking the path, obviously in an aggressive standpoint due to the hissing. Simba hissed as well, although it came out as more of a snarl/growl. Still intimidating, none the less. The Luxio cast a glance up at his trainer, to see what h'ed do. Looks like we don't have much of a choice now, do we? He murmured, stepping back to give Simba room for the battle he craved.
The lion snarled and whipped his tail around, electricity flowing through the fur, causing static and popping. Let's start this off then, go in for a spark, mkay? He commanded, pulling out his camera for a few shots. *click, click* As Simba neared the Zangoose the clicking increased, all in hopes of that perfect shot. [/blockquote]
