Rocky had a shock, for sure, while Justin merely grappled for his camera. A bit of rage filled his heart, he'd bought Rocky under the impression they weren't around in his region, and yet there one was! He snapped a few photos, but through the lens he watched as the ditto morphed back into it's normal form. Thanking his lucky stars he'd gotten photos of the whole ordeal, he let the camera thunk onto his chest before watching the ditto mesh around. Pretty rare, I think, and a good training opportunity Rocky! Lets see if we can get a hit in before it transforms, since it's a normal type right now! Low Kick! He grinned.
Rocky gave a nod and held his 2x4, preparing himself for a Low Kick. The Ditto would have to transform, which gave them a bit of a chance. But Justin did wish to capture this, if possible... they'd just have to see how Rocky affected it. [/blockquote]

As Pokemon and trainer conspired, the Ditto was blobbing up and down as it was getting rallied up for battle. It had already transformed into the muscular Timburr once and it felt like a nice improvement over its blobby, flabby original form. Why, if it could transform into a Timburr constantly, it'd happily go around flashing off its physique. That nice log of wood was fun to carry around as well. Getting so enraptured over the idea of becoming a Timburr once more, the Ditto wasted no time in transforming a second time for a slightly more permanent fix than the last time. Moulding itself in a matter of seconds, there was now another imposter Rocky before Justin and the real deal. Seeing it using its own appearance once more, the stocky little Timburr growled a little under its breath before making good of Justin's command. Flipping its timber up into the air with a Herculean throw, the Timburr went launching forward with incredible velocity. As it neared, Rocky skidded along the floor with his foot stretched out into a harmful, unbalancing kick. The Ditto-Timburr however knew exactly what the move was going to be like, having copied all of its moves. Anticipating it, the Pokemon braced itself and took the low aiming kick without toppling over too hard. As the slide came to an end, Rocky got back up and with a lightning fast dash back to his corner of the battlefield, held out his arm as the log of timber came back down to earth. Wild Battle

So, his plan hadn't worked so well. Ditto got to transform before he could say anything about it, so unfortunately he'd be fighting a direct copy of himself. Rocky didn't seem to mind though, perhaps it could be seen as a 'facing one's inner demons' sort of thing. No matter how the Pokemon saw it, Justin was beside him all the way. Hey, don't let a mere copycat get ya down, got it Rockster? Go in for a Low Kick, maybe that'll show 'em. He said, trying to give the Pokemon a bit of a pep talk, though he wasn't all too good at them.
Rocky got the message though, and slammed his trusty 2x4 down before charging at the Timburr, using his wood as a pole-vault to get a bit more momentum to kick and sweep at the opposing copy-cat. [/blockquote]

Now perfectly matched for one another, it was going to be a real test of who had the better fighting prowess. Staring at one another with a real sense of a Mexican stand off, it was only as Rocky went pole vaulting forward with the aid of his two by four. Gaining an increased amount of velocity, the muscular creature went scoring along the grassy field, his very foot almost dividing the muddy ground between him. Gulping as it saw the aggrieved Timburr come forward, the Ditto-Timburr tried to think of a way to counter act. The last time it used the timber, it had proved to be effective but surely there was more to the fight than relying on such a tool. Dropping it to the floor, the Ditto-Timburr slammed his head as if to psyche himself up for the hit. Seconds later, Rocky went full force into the Pokemon's legs, causing him to trip up terribly. What was even worse was the dropped wood had added to his imbalance. Forgetting it was there, the Ditto-Timburr went tripping up on it and with an ungraceful tumble head first, it had seemed clear Rocky had at least got some payback against the imposter for his copycat act. Staggering back to his feet, the Ditto-Timburr had realised just how dependable it was on this sturdy plank. Brushing itself down, the Ditto-Timburr gave Rocky a sudden scathing look with his eyes as they leered down. That was enough to give anyone the heebie jeebies. Making a small snicker on its face appear, the imposter was just starting to get the hang of this new body. Wild Battle

Seems like this Ditto has nothing on you, Rockster!
Justin called out, giving a bit of a clap to his non-damaged Pokemon. Rocky had executed his perfect strike, the Low Kick did what it was supposed to do for sure. Rocky merely stood with his chunk of timber, waiting for Justin's next order while the Ditto anticipated the end, or at least it should. Except... hmmm. Hey, Rocky, imma put you on standby and try to catch it. If it manages to escape, uhh... use Leer. He said, pulling out a great ball and chucking it towards the morphing Pokemon. Hey, since he was the center of attention would Ditto turn into Justin? Oh, Justin's thoughts... [/blockquote]

It hadn't been the best of introductions, especially when the person you were meeting had pretty much stolen not only your favourite hand item but your very identity but it appeared with the inclusion of a Pokeball that Justin was hoping to welcome this shape shifter to the fold. As it left his hand and soared towards the Ditto-Timburr, the copycat seemed to be shock and quickly walloped his large timber of wood to bat it away. Nevertheless, despite such attempts to dispel it, the Pokeball did its duty. Nudging contact with the wood it soon began enveloping the Pokemon in a bright red light, forcing it to downsize it to fit within its confines. Falling to the floor with a metallic thud, the Pokeball began rolling back and forth, only time would tell if she had been successful. Once... Twice... Thrice...

Ditto was captured! Justin walked forward and picked up the shape shifter, putting the pokeball in his pocket. Ditto were useful for breeding, so perhaps he'd get lucky (or Ditto would, wink wink nudge nudge) and he'd get to producing eggs quicker and faster. Also, if he could change the ability, Ditto could be a useful Pokemon for him to battle with if need be. This was a good find! He grinned, and then turned to Rocky. And that was a good battle! I think you're training along nicely. He smiled, proud of his little fighter. Timburr was a good addition to the team for sure, but he was getting attatched to far too many Pokemon to keep up with. Lets see if we can find some easy prey, like a normal trainer or something. he chuckled. Rocky joined in, tossing his timbur slab into the air with ease. [/blockquote]

Surprisingly, if it was a trainer battle that Justin and his group of well trained Pokemon were looking for, they would be mildly surprised that the chances were high for a meet up. As he began traversing along the extensive route, there was a particular change up in the air. It was almost as if the wild had been tamed and that something else, something civilised and different was walking the path. Far off in the distance, the cause of this could be seen. Perhaps spooking all the Pokemon that inhabited the route, a lone solitary figure drew closer with each step. The way she carried herself was tell tale of her ability as a trainer. Every movement was precise and calculated, this trainer exuded the meaning of confidence. But there wasn't just that, this outline of a figure had an air of coolness about them. It was if they were aware they had the skill to quieten a whole route of Pokemon. Now within visible eye shot, the trainer perked up as they too saw Justin properly for the first time. Stopping dead in their tracks, the outline belonging to that of a teenage girl seemed to be examining Justin. Her eyes barely visible but possibly leering, it was as if Justin's existence had offended her or something. Seconds later, the cool looking trainer went jogging onwards before she got within earshot of him. "HEY! HEY YOU!" Skidding to a halt as she was now feet away from him, she breathed heavily but managed to get her words out. "YOU! I heard about you... You... You're Justin Pryce correct?!" Wasting no time in ripping the Pokeball off of her belt holster, the girl held it up and cleared up a little bit more as to what she was up to. "I've been seeking you for ages... Don't think you can hide away. There had been rumours going around of a strong trainer." Sizing him up, she pulled a slightly glum expression. "You're bit of a hottie i'll give you that but you don't seem all that impressive." Tossing her Pokeball forward and revealing a landed Goldeen, she was clearly after a battle. "I live to fight and win over strong trainers. Let's see how you fare!" Trainer Encounter
Ace Trainer Irene issues a challenge! She sends forth Goldeen (Level 22) Please select a Pokemon for battle.

Ey, I think I see someone in tha distance.
Justin squinted, lifting his glasses a bit to see the approaching figure. Little did he know she was approaching fast. When the girl arrived, she was out of breath, but still somehow full of energy. The way she nearly shouted things.. It kinda startled the man, but nothing too bad to distract him from a battle, which was what she wanted. Yeah, i'm 'em. But why- Before he could ask, she explained. Looking for him? He let out a laugh shared by Rocky. If only she knew how mellow the trainer in front of her truly was. Looking fer me? Well ya found me, but I can't affirm any rumors or nothing... He laughed, and then looked down at Rocky. Well she's aching for a fight, and you wanna train, so wanna jump in? He asked, raising his eyebrows. Rocky gave a nod and jumped forward, facing the fish. Sorry I don't look the part. I still didn't catch your name. He told her. As you know, i'm Justin, and this is Rocky. He needs some training, he's the baby of the team, so why not test 'em out? Try that new Wake Up Slap ya got. [/blockquote]

"Alright, this is going to be easy! Goldeen use a Peck attack!"the Ace Trainer called out, pointing at the Timburr with confidence in her stance. The fish let out a garbled cry and quickly hopped towards the Timburr. For a fish on land, it hopped quite fast as the Goldeen's fins flailed as she maneuvered herself towards the Fighting Pokemon. With one final leap, the Goldeen's head bowed, the horn on her head glinting under the sunlight as the sharp point jabbed Rocky right in the stomach. The Timburr let out a gasp of pain, stumbling back from the impact. However, he wasn't going to let the Goldeen get away with that. With a mighty effort, the Timburr used his lumber and slammed the Goldeen to the ground, pinning the flailing fish so that she couldn't get away. Using a free hand, Rocky began to smack the fish's face repeatedly. Then, cocking back his arm, the Timburr gave one final punch, sending the fish flying away. The Goldeen landed back to the earth, her whole body writhing in pain until she managed to get back upright. Both her cheeks were now swollen, giving an impression of a chipmunk. "Well, I guess the rumors are true. You are quite strong,"Irene muttered, her eyes narrowed as if trying to determine her next move. --------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- Pokemon Battle

As soon as the battle had started, it wasn't until the Goldeen executed its Peck did he realize the mistake he made. He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. Hah, guess I fergot Goldeen could use a flying move. You still good Rockster? He called out, and the Pokemon gave a re-affirming nod. It was quite comical if you thought about it. Apparently she'd been attempting to find him to battle, and he makes a mistake like that. Not that he truly thought he was really good. He couldn't live up to rumors, could he? Great hit, Rocky! Knew you had it in ya. But now we gotta finish this quick. Wake Up Slap again? He really wanted to get a Leer in, but that was dangerous territory.
By the time another Peck was issued, if he Leered, he might not live for the next attack to faint the Pokemon. If He just continued on an offensive path though, perhaps he had the chance to knock it out before the reverse happened to him. Rocky had bad experiences with flying moves. It was time to not screw him over. [/blockquote]

"C'mon Goldeen, we can wear out that Timburr! Use another Peck attack!"Irene called out confidently, noticing that Justin didn't expect her Pokemon to know a Flying type move, giving them an advantage. The still puffy cheeked Goldeen looked somewhat reluctant to get near the Timburr again, as if she wasn't inclined to get another slapping in the face. Nevertheless, the fish flailed forward towards the Fighting Pokemon, head bowed as she launched herself at Rocky. The goldfish's speed startled Rocky and he was unable to avoid the horn that jabbed him again in the stomach. Timburr felt a jolt of pain spasm through his body, but acted quickly to take advantage of the Goldeen's close range. The Timburr quickly reached out and grabbed the Goldeen's horn, preventing the fish from escaping. The Goldeen struggled and let out a garbled cry of panic, but Rocky's grip on her horn was firm. Using his other hand, the Timburr began smacking the Goldeen around the face again. The Goldeen felt her face puff up even more as one more blow sent the fish spinning away. Rocky let out a huff of satisfaction, an amused smirk as he observed the fish's face swell up even more. --------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- Pokemon Battle

From his previous battles, Justin could tell Rocky was the gambling type. Alright, this is gonna be a close one, okay Rockster? Do you want to stay in? The photographer was always nervous, but Rocky was a breath of confidence. He gave a nod and spun his timbur around to face the Goldeen. Alright, ewll, if you insist. Go for a final Wake Up Slap, try and finish it, I always get so nervous when you're down so low on HP. he murmured. He was over protective of all his Pokemon though. Who could blame him? He was far too attatched, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. One thing was for sure though. If this chick fainted Rocky, there would be hell to pay. [/blockquote]

Fortunately for Irene, it seemed the debt of hell to Justin would have to be put off for at least a round longer. Her eyes calculatingly examining the Timburr, it was as if she was assessing every possible outcome and every possible deviation this battle could take should her luck be at an all time high or even an all time low. Cocking her head and her posture becoming as confident as it had when she first challenged, the girl pointed out to Justin dramatically. "I had anticipated that you would use some exotic, far off Pokemon. We may not have many of those... Timburr things running amok here in Johto but don't think i'm a close minded dunce of a trainer who doesn't check things up on the net!" Getting that off her chest, she nodded her head. "I've read up on them of course. However, i've also learnt a great detail by keeping an eye on your Timburr here today. It really does like he is open to gambles. Unfortunately, i'm coming out high sixes! Goldeen! Rear up for a final Peck! Its about time Mr.Rocky pays up his bet!" Despite being a fish out of water, the Goldeen was an agile foe to say the least. Bounding forward with a series of graceful flops, the koi fish somehow managed to cut the distance between them in no time at all. At the final bound, the Goldeen sprung forward but alternated the movements of her fins so that she began to spin mid air. As she did, her horn was jutted out just primed for striking down on a would be opponent. Seeing this coming, Rocky lifted up his plank of wood at the last second and amazingly had deflected the brunt of its foes blow. However, the Goldeen's trainer wasn't called an ace for nothing. "Don't let that stop you! Drill forward and attack at it!" Spurned by her trainer's words, the Goldeen began to use the tail end of her momentum to corkscrew herself into a spin that forced her horn through the wood. Piercing through, the Goldeen made for a jab and pecked successfully at the Timburr, despite being a little restrained. Letting out a sharp pained gasp at being stabbed, Rocky gritted his teeth as he began sweating bullets. The jabbing pack was painful but he knew he was resilient. Forcing all of his strength into removing the Goldeen backwards by adjusting his timber, Rocky held it up with one hand as he readied the other. Twisting it around with a few adjustments, Rocky unloaded with a trademarked wake up slap. The move was so effectual it was likely it could even make a Snorlax snap out of its slumber. Brutally laying into the Goldeen, the force of the blow caused the fish to go flying out of the timber and land just by Irene's feet. The round had looked like it could have been decisive but in truth, it had only edged them that much closer. "So, I guess all those rumours I heard about you bein' tough weren't all hot air. You can say i'm looking forward to this even more now. When we get pushed into a corner, we double our strength." Proclaimed Irene with a clench of her fist. Trainer Battle

Justin had been in a similar situation, so he knew what was probably going to happen. If he let his Pokemon go again, just like in the Pidgeotto battle, he was gonna have a hard time keeping Rocky from being knocked out. After all, the damn fish knew peck, a flying move. They had been duking it out well, but with that higher speed... Rockster, wanna take a break? He suggested lightly, and the Timburr crossed his arms defiantly. He knew it was coming, so Justin might as well keep him in the fight. Besides, he had another plan. Okay, if yer stayin' in, gotta drink this. Justin tossed him a Soda Pop.
Rocky guzzled it down, immediately letting a grin spread on his face. He chuckled, and then cracked his knuckles after having that immediate boost to health. Goldeen would get a hit in, but Rocky would be able to take a few more with the help of that drink. Justin enjoyed the carbonation, but he wondered what part of it Rocky enjoyed. Either way. Just 'nother part of battlin', knowing when to take up a bit of defense. Now, enough of that. Wake up Slap, and send this fish flyin'! [/blockquote]
