((Oh god, muse, where are you? D:))
Dayn's grunt of satisfaction rumbled through his body as he smirked. The Ditto, having challenged Justin with the intent of fighting power, was way in over it's head. Unfortunately for it, Dayn was far out of the blob's league, and the creature probably knew that. Still unsure why his trainer sent him out for this instead of something else, the behemoth still did as he was told, serpentine tail swishing back and forth. Not a bad hit, boy! This gym better watch out! Justin chuckled to himself.
Ditto wasn't about to back down, obviously. It morphed into the visage of Dayn, minus the tattoo's. So that's what a normal, er, blobbed version of Gyarados looked like. The eyes were slightly creepy, beady almost, as they stared over at the creature. Justin looked at his watch, and then the receding sun, and figured they should probably head back into town soon. As much fun as we're having, we better head out soon. dragon Rage, please. Justin murmured.
((My comp is being weird, can't tell what Pokemon has a lucky egg))

That last attack had hurt, and the Ditto was fairly positive that it wasn't going to be able to take another hit like that. While this form was large and powerful, the creature that it had copied was just as large and even more powerful. The shapeshifter could chance attacking the Gyarados and lose, or... it could go straight for the brains of the operation.
Swiveling its now enormous head, the transformed Ditto opened its jaws wide, diving straight for Justin. Luckily, Dayn was faster than the Ditto, and he was on the move as well, launching a ball of dark flames at the imposter. The flames hid dead on, knocking the Ditto away from Justin with enough force to cause the creature to transform back and send it flying. The pink blob squeaked as it was launched through the air before splattering against a tree. Weak and exhausted, the mushy creature dripped down the tree trunk, pooling in the grass before quietly slinking away. It knew when it was beat.
Battle! Wild Ditto | level 19 | Health : 0% (0/53 HP)Status : FaintedAttack : Unable to attack VS Justin's Dayn | level 26 | Health : 100% (93/93HP)Status : NormalAttack : A successful Dragon Rage
The Ditto has been defeated! Dayn fought valiantly and gained +950 EXP, elevating him to level 27! ((OOC: Simba has the Lucky Egg.))

(Yay, five pages. Can I please request to fight youngster Samuel? If that only works with Pokemon, then can I please fight a Zangoose?))
The Dragon Rage was something of legend. Of course, all of them were. It almost felt like cheating, but in a world where you were quick and strong, or weak and slow, Justin didn't want to fall to the wayside. He wanted to be strong, and get that much closer to his dreams. Photography was something he enjoyed, but the more tastes he got of battle, the more he enjoyed it, and the more he 'forgot' to take pictures. It was hard, juggling both talents. However, he was making an effort. Perhaps his love for photography would respark at the gym, where he was sure to get a lot of good photos.
The ditto slunk off into the forest while Dayn turned his massive head to face Justin. The creature lowered itself for a few pats on the side of his face, since he was far too tall for pats on the head. I'm starting to get scared of ya, man, you're just way too strong. He chuckled, and the Gyarados snorted air out of his nostrils, amused. There just isn't anything that can take us here. It's kinda crazy. He murmured, looking around. He was hoping for another trainer. He didn't feel as prepared as he wanted to be for the gym, so maybe fighting a trainer or some strong wayward Pokemon would help?

OOC: I don't think you can request a rare Pokemon, LOL. I'll give you Youngster Samuel though IC: Just as Justin was returning his Gyarados and wondering why didn't he snap a photograph of the earlier battle scene, a young boy had been watching quietly the blazing flames with awe. When the kid got close, Justin's height seems to tower the boy, even if the Gyarados wasn't out of the Pokeball. That, or the boy was just short and haven't finish his growth spurt. He's getting there... "Sir, wow, you're tall!" the kid blurted out to announce his presence. Before Justin could reply though, the boy was splattering his excitement all over. "Was that your mighty Gyarados? Fighting a Ditto?... It was so cool! My uncle has Gyarados too! But he lives far away!"No one was sure if the boy has any issues. Though he seems to be easily fascinated by whatever that seems amazing and "cool" to him. Or maybe Gyarados was just a cool Pokemon, since people rarely have the patience to raise the weakling Magikarp. Additionally, this youngster has a history of harassing older trainers passing by, and pretty much anyone whom he witnessed owning a cool Pokemon or more. Pokefan Branden and the Ace Trainer don't really like him either, but they got some training out of him. Maybe that makes this boy the loser? "Oh, sorry! I'm Samuel and I would love to see more of your Pokemon!" he finally slowed down nervously around this taller, and older stranger. Where was his respect for someone so cool and freaking hip? "How about we have a battle? That would be sweet ice*!" the easily amused child pulled up a Pokeball from his shorts. Speaking of shorts, his fashion was so plain. Tossing his Pokeball, he introduced his little friend. "This is my friend Rattata, he would be a tough Raticate soon!"The Rattata stood on the ground nonchalantly. Evolve or not, he doesn't care. But he knew his trainer needs to stop harassing other trainers. Youngster Samuel would like to battle!.... He sent out a (Level 19) Rattata that actually sits still. *make up slang meaning same thing as "cool"

Justin turned to face the sound of the kid somewhere near him. After he looked down, Samuel was in full sight, although he was a bit short. Apparently the kid had been watching his battle, and admiring the Gyarados he'd raised up. Granted, he came into Dayn's life in the latter half of the Magikarp's lifecycle, but still. A Gyarados was a Gyarados, and he must have been doing something right to command the respect of the behemoth, even if it did lose his temper in the occasional battle.
Thanks! His name is Dayn. That's cool, I wonder if he's a Dragon trainer. Justin smiled, listening to the boy sputter in excitement. When he suggested a battle, Justin couldn't decline. Why not? Hey, sounds like fun. When Samuel released his Rattata, Justin chuckled. It was a sane, non-twitchy little thing. He looks well trained. I'll introduce him to Rhoan. He grinned, pulling a ball from his belt.
Out popped the Pignite, the boar of flames. Rhoan flexed an arm before turning to Justin for her expected picture. She turned to the boy and gave a snort of flames out of her nostrils before cracking her knuckles. Go in for an Arm Thrusts, will ya girl? Justin suggested, accent thick with anticipation and well, Aussie-ness.

The youngster was once again amused by Justin taking a photograph of his Pignite. "Ooh, are you a photographer? You must have taken pictures of coool battle scenes! Have you met a legendary Pokemon?" His curiosity could be starting to get annoying, yikes. "This... fire Pokemon looks so burst!* Are you a foreigner? Where did you get this Pokemon?" His Rattata clicked his teeth, warning his trainer that a battle was about to happen. Quit with the chatting, and he sometimes forget to chat because of his curiosity and obsessiveness with "cool" Pokemon. And much to his surprise, said "fire" Pokemon also knows a fighting move. The flaming pig ran first toward the opponent, a rather small Rattata. The purple mouse tried to dodge by leaping, but instead its unfortunate choice of leaping was greeted by a series of punches delivered by the powerful Pignite. Poor rodent was punched a few times by lightning strikes before it could land on the floor. The youngster was nervous that he would lose his cool, seeing his Pokemon was going to lose soon. Thankfully he had a few more Pokemon on his hand. Maybe he could turn this around. "Rattata, Hyper Fang!" the young trainer ordered. His Rattata immediately got back on its feet from the powerful punches. The mouse could feel the pain pulsing through all the nerves in its tiny body. Unfortunately for the Rattata, the Pignite's punches knocked him out. He passed out before he could even attack. *Burst- another make up slang
Youngster Samuel's Rattata- Level 19 0/46| MRattata fainted before he could attack... Rhoan the Pignite- Level 27 70/93| FRhoan used a successful Arm Thrust! Rhoan used Arm Thrust! Arm Thrust dealt 28 damages to Rattata! Arm Thrust dealt 28 damages to Rattata! Arm Thrust hit two times!
Rhoan had gained 475 experiences! (EXP: 0/2437 to 475/2437) Rhoan had gained 238 experiences due to Lucky Egg! (EXP: 713/2437) Rhoan had gained 1 happiness! (Happiness: +9) Simba had gained 475 experiences due to Exp Share! (EXP: 1399 / 2107 to 1874/2107) "Wow, that was fast! Good job, Rattata, return!" the overzealous and hyper kid returned his Pokemon friend. Then, switching another Pokeball, he called forth another Pokemon. "Meet my Sandshrew too! He didn't want to evolve until he gets stronger! That's neat, huh, mister?" The boy technically wasn't asking the opponent's opinion, since evolution to some degree was decided by the Pokemon or the trainer. Outsiders have no say in this. The Sandshrew turned his body 180 degrees around and raised a hand with visible claws in protest. The gesture was as if saying his evolution has nothing to do with the youngster. After this little body language, the ground type was rather quick and turned back around to face his opponent. Youngster Samuel sent out his other friend, (Level 22) Sandshrew! Would you like to switch Pokemon or stay? OOC: Happiness and exp have been updated. this post was frustrating since i didn't know if masara's calculated damage range was for one hit or more. then after I fainted Rattata, I had to calculate exp. at first I noticed Pignite's lucky egg, but i double checked and saw luxio's exp share and had to recalculate. What I did was I split the opponent's exp gain in half for both luxio and pignite, than i multiplied pignite's exp with lucky egg.

(The Kalshinov calculator can input for hits on multiple hit attacks if you want to use that one for attacks like this. Thanks though, I know it's confusing xD)
Justin smiled at the youngster's enthusiasm. It sure made battling a bit more fun. As for the photography remark, he couldn't help but beam. Yeah, I'm looking for the best shots of Pokemon, and battles. he grinned. When the boy asked about legendaries, Justin smirked before pushing his jacket sleeve up to reveal his tattoos of Raikou stripes. Not yet, but i'm on the hunt for Raikou. I wanna get the first real, non blurry picture of the electric tiger.
Rhoan interrupted his thoughts with her attacks. Justin shook his head about being a foreigner. Born and raised in... He stopped to take a picture as Rhoan destroyed the Rattata. Azalea. He concluded, snapping another photo, this time at a different angle. The battle was quick, but that was because Rhoan was a bit stronger than the rat, and had type advantage. No worries, mate. That's a nice looking Shandshrew. He grinned, snapping a few photos of it. I let my Pokemon choose when to evolve. If they start glowing, and they ain't shaking their head, I don't stop 'em. He chuckled.
Speaking of evolution... He murmured, returning Rhoan. He sent out another Pokemon, Surreo. Surreo just recently evolved. I bet he'd like to battle your 'shrew. Surreo nodded, and cast his thoughts at Justin. I thought we were going home? He chuckled, amused. Hey, be nice. Kid wanted to battle. Very well. Surreo stepped forward and brandished his scythe arms. Let's not waste any time, Magical Leaf!

"Oooh, Raikou...." Samuel sounded as if he was interested, but he also sounded clueless. That Pokemon named Raikou sounded familiar, but where had he heard it? A television show? A comic book? Random chit chat by people? Then, upon seeing Justin's tattoo, "Oh! Raikou! I haven't seen it either. I hope you get the snapshot you wanted!"The youngster was glad that Justin would accompany with his insane and silly amount of curiosity and easily amused mind. As his Sandshrew was called out, he cheerfully suggested his Pokemon to pose, "Come on, Sandshrew, smile at the camera!" The ground type Pokemon was slightly embarrassed with having picture taken of him, and his trainer commenting wasn't helping either. "Azalea Town? That's cool!" he shouted in enthusiasm as the opponent introduced himself, but then the kid began to draw attention back to himself again. For the most part, he's mostly attention seeking, but he does gives attention to people sometimes. "I have battled and earn two gym badges from Violet City and Azalea, but Whitney is hard! This is why I am practicing! She beats me three times! I beat her Clefairy on my last try then her Miltank swept me!--" he then noticed Justin called out an attack and his sword fighting Pokemon, "--Sandshrew, Swift!"Surreo's eyes and blades glowed blue, and he began slashing the air with his blade. The mystical blade summoned a wave of glowing leaves that hit the poor ground type dead on. Sandshrew used his remaining strength and opened his mouth, and a volley of rapid, glowing stars hit the Gallade, but they were more like scratching him.
The battle is ongoing!... The weather looks clear! Samuel's Sandshrew- Level 22 6/60| MSandshrew used a successful Swift! Surreo the Gallade- Level 25 71/76| MSurreo used a successful Magical Leaf! It's super effective! Surreo used Magical Leaf! Magical Leaf dealt 54 damages to Sandshrew! It's super effective! Sandshrew used Swift! Swift dealt 5 damages to Surreo!

Enthusiasm was key, but Sandshrew didn't have any camera presence. Oh well! this meeting was brief in the sense that they wouldn't be interacting for long after the battle. Sandshrew would get over it, and Justin and the kid would be on their merry way. We're heading to Whitney soon too. I want to make sure i'm extra prepared, so I don't mess up, ya know? He only had one Pokemon faint in his entire battlehood, and he didn't want that to happen again. It was sad, embarassing, and it made him feel terrible and guilty.
Nice hit, Surreo! Of course it was a nice hit. I did it. We're not out of the woods yet. No, we're right at the edge, but you keep stepping on things you know you can win. Why don't we just go to the gym already, instead of destroying trainers and Pokemon? I don't want us to lose, besides. If one of ya'll fainted, i'd probably lose my mind. Can't lose what you never had. Oh, just use Magical Leaf again, please...
The silence was probably awkward, so Justin felt the need to explain. Sorry, I can communicate with Surreo because he's psychic. We'll have conversations some times, and I forget that we're not making any noise. He explained. Surreo brushed off his arms and prepared for another attack. Hopefully he'd finish off this little Pokemon.

"Ooh, good luck with Whitney! She is different off the stage than on the stage," the youngster commented on the celebrity and gym leader after hearing Justin's plan. This was kind of a celebrity gossip, but thankfully this was not spoken in the presence of highness Whitney and her maidens. The boy was stunned by his opponent's ability to communicate with his psychic Pokemon. He wondered if all of them would do that. He also wondered where he can get himself some awesome psychic Pokemon so he could show off or something. "Oh, you can talk to Psychic Pokemon? Where did you get--" he swiftly stopped as he noticed his opponent ordered a move again with his telepathic communications. Once again, the little boy was distracted by his own enthusiasm and curiosity. "Sandshrew, use--" he was too late to order an attack. Surreo's eyes and blade glowed blue again and summoned a mystical blast of auto-target leaves. The ground type had no chance to survive, let alone carrying out his trainer's command. The fainted ground type lay on all four on the floor with his eyes shut, as if sleeping like a giant Snorlax. "Take a good rest, Sandshrew," he returned his Pokemon and pulled out another Pokeball. "Go, Spearow--" he tossed the Pokeball and was greeted by an extremely clingy Spearow who sat on his shoulder. "Get off, Spearow, we're in a battle, okay?" The friendly bird Pokemon rubbed his head on the boy's hair and chirped happily, not entirely in battle mode yet.
For defeating Sandshrew, Surreo gained 550 exp! (550 /1951) He gained 1 happiness! Happiness is now +6! Simba gained 550 exp due to Experience Share! Simba is now Level 27! EXP: (317/2269) Youngster Samuel is not done yet! He sent out his (Level 20) Spearow! Would you switch out Pokemon? OOC: updating level and exp

With Sandshrew down, there was only one more Pokemon left with Samuel. Justin felt sort-of bad for destroying the kid, but there wasn't much that could be done about it. Justin was just a bit too touchy about battles and other people's feelings. I got Surreo as a Ralts, and evolved him up to his final form of Gallade. Samuel was a quick kid, but he still needed a bit of work with his battling skills. Surreo dipped his head as soon as Sandshrew was done in, and cast a message to Samuel, Good fight, young one. before retreating to his Pokeball for a rest.
Hmmm... lets see... Freyja, why don't you give it a run? Justin murmured, releasing the timid Trapinch out onto the field of battle. She snapped her jaws a few times before examining the affectionate Spearow. She wasn't that affectionate with her trainer, but there were reasons far beyond him that dictated that. If you're feeling up to it, Bite!

Samuel listened as Justin explained how he obtained his Gallade. He suddenly felt stupid for even asking, of course, Ralts was Pokemon that would be the Gallade's initial form! He kind of regretted asking this to embarrass himself. However, he was surprised by the abrupt message that Surreo had sent him. He gasped and stuttered, "Dd-did your Gallade just speak to my mind?" He couldn't believe that. This was too cool to absorb. Now he would need to catch and to train a psychic type to amp up his coolness. Samuel was aware of the Trapinch coming out of her Pokeball into the battlefield this time, instead of distracted by amusing matters. He immediately had a surge of strength and flung off his Spearow into the battle, commanding, "Okay, Spearow, Aerial Ace that big jaw!"The brown bird swooped down as streaks of white light engulfs his body. In one quick and successful strike, the bird slammed into Trapinch, and slowed down trying to flap away. However, Freyja took her opportunity and bit hard on the Spearow. The avian squawked in pain as a few feathers were shed fell to the ground. He quickly returned to right in front of Samuel, focusing on the fight, despite he wanted a hug to make this all better again.
Samuel's Spearow- Level 20 18/52Spearow used a successful Aerial Ace! Freyja the Trapinch- Level 25 51/65Freyja used a successful Bite! Spearow used Aerial Ace! Aerial Ace dealt 14 damages to Freyja! Freyja used Bite! Bite dealt 34 damages to Spearow!

Justin gave a deep nod of his head. Yeah, psychic types are pretty cool. I talk to him all the time. He only does it to people he likes though, so.. He chuckled. The battle was going in his favor, which was pretty nice. He also enjoyed, although he would never admit it, being admired, even by the youngest of trainers. You're pretty good. I've enjoyed our battle. Justin smiled at the trainer.
Freyja, lets wrap this up. How about another bite? Freyja nodded, eyeing in on the Spearow. She noticed the affection the Pokemon had for the trainer, and looked over to Justin. Perhaps she could have some sort of relationship with a trainer? Her past was cloudy, but she could definitely look up to her future, right? The Spearow wouldn't give up easy, so she'd have to finish this quick. She started running, snapping her jaws.

Samuel was about to burst with joy after the compliment. He gripped the brim of his backwards hat bill, pulling it further down snugly with a boyish grin. "You think I'm good?" The impressionable youngster swiped his nose with the back of his hand lightly, finding it hard to stay still. He couldn't wait to tell the other trainers on the route. "Yeah I've got a pretty diverse team, because I'm smart yanno? Edged. I'll just keep getting better too." He paused. "Even if I can't beat you today, I will someday..." Spearow perked up with interest, "You know, with like a giant tattoo of a legendary on my neck or back or face or something. That'll make your arm tattoo look outrivaled." Samuel smiled proudly. "Soon as I'm 18, bro. Just decided." The adoring bird cooed.
"Oh yeah. Spearow! Aerial Ace!"
The Flying type took off into the air, ascending a bit before circling around and diving at a near reckless speed. His body began to glow with a hot white light before slamming into the sturdy Trapinch. The bird gave it his all, trying to impress his "cool" centered trainer. Freyja absorbed the hit and retaliated with a swift clamp of her steely jaws. Instantly fainting her foe.
Samuel's Spearow ⋅ Lvl 20 Health ⋅ 0% 0/52 HP Status ⋅ KO'd Spearow uses Aerial Ace!
Justin's Freyja ⋅ Lvl 25 Health ⋅ 58% 38/65 HP Status ⋅ Normal Freyja used Bite!
"This zaps." Samuel blurted while returning his last fainted Pokemon. "Spearow looked pretty epic though. Did you see that last attack? Boom. Crsshhh. Like five more of those and your Trapinch would've been in serious trouble." He reached into his back pocket. "Oh, and here's your prize money."
Freyja is the Winner! Trapinch gained 500 EXP (500/1951)! +1 Happiness! Simba is holding Exp Share, gaining 500 EXP (817/2269)! Justin gets £130 for defeating Youngster Samuel!!

Justin had to admit, the kid certainly did have an amountable bit of spirit. The way he gushed at Justin complimenting him did kinda flatter Justin in a way as well, despite how impressionable the kid truly was. But the way his Pokemon acted and adored him, Justin knew the kid was treating them right. And besides, he got this far, so he had to be good. You'll never get anywhere unless ya take care of your Pokemon. But ya know, yours love ya. You take care of 'em. So yeah, you're definitely good. He grinned.
About the tattoo... That's totally up to you. But be sure to make your own choices, not just cause of someone else. Just, uh, stay true to yourself and all. He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. He wasn't used to someone hanging off of his every word. He certainly wasn't the motivational speaker, but what the heck, why not pass a bit of info before they parted ways? However, Freyja made quick work of the opponent. When the kid boasted about the attacks, Justin chuckled. Definitely! You'll give me a run for the money one day. Keep working at it. He smiled, taking the money since he offered. He reached down to pat Freyja before waving as he continued down the path.
(Might I request Ace trainer kate?)
