Wallace was pathetic. x(
My vote went to Lance. I'm just a little biased, since he used Dragons... of course he had some dragon-esque Pokemon in there just to screw with you.
Second I'd hand to Steven, honestly. He made an interesting Champion, and I only battled him once, but his Steel types were bitches. I wonder... did any of you know he had a hiding place in Meteor Falls in Emerald, where you could battle him? His team was in their 70s too.
Cynthia is easily great, but my main quarrel with her was, as is with most, that ungodly Garchomp. Although I did laugh my ass off when my level 86 Latias outsped it.
Gary is probably tied with Gar-face up there. Not much to say about him though. xD
FEEL LIKE YOU DEFEATED THE LEAGUE? NO WAY, GARY OAK IS READY TO WIPE THE FLOOR WITH YOU AND YOUR HALF-DEAD TEAM!

Lance, since personality-wise, for the games, he came on as a far more noble figure/ cape crusader sort. Cliche, I know, but hey, you're suppose to look up to the guys even if they're just 24-bit sprites or whatever, and I was seriously involved with Lance when the whole Mahogany Town storyline kicked off. Plus, seriously, who could say no to that cape? (Yeah, i had a small crush on hm as a child...)

Capes are very very dapper. Plus who else gets their Pokemon to Hyper Beam grunts?! Still, I think for most of the champions in the games we can all make a strong case for them being rightfully the champions in their respective games. Except Wallace. Everybody hates Wallace as a Champion. Having two Water themed bosses must really dampen your spirits in Emerald. ;D

Vote for Blue/Gary on my part, it's more for the sentimental reasons of defeating the team that caused you a bit of trouble throughout the entire game. Plus, just fighting a tough team with several different types always makes for a way more interesting battle.

THAT MOVE CAN KO POKEMON 5 TIMES THAT MAN'S SIZE. Guarntee you that Grunt'll become Team Rocket Leader XD. I have only Beaten Sapphire, and I can attest to you that Steven and his Pokemon are sons of bitches. I had finally beaten te Elite Four (all of which are pretty tough....except Sidney), and I was like "YEAH! I AM DA CHAMP! I AM THE BEST TRAINER ON THE GAME. I AM BETTER THAN THE GYM LEADERS AND THE E4 COMBINED!" And then I go to the next room, and I'm like...."who's this guy?" walk up to him, and i'm like "STEVEN! Whatare you doing here?" I cried myself to sleep that night. No songs were sung. Not even the Thong Song.
