Leon is a well built white male with a sort of plain face. Like the rest of the Joy family, his hair is a very uncommon color. His hair is so platinum blond that it looks white. While not muscular, Leon has a fit body and can be considered little above average for how exercised his body is. At least, enough to get notice from some girls around him. However, on his upper back, is a horizontal scar from side to side. It was given to him by a flame thrower attack that swiped across his back when he was a child.
Leon has a casual/business sense of style, favoring clothes that fit that style. His favorite colors are black and white since they fit with his hair. Usually his shirt is dominantly black, sleeves rolled up, and short sleeved. His pants are white and always long no matter the weather. Black loafers are his preferred type of shoe-ware. However, he has has worn black tennis shoes before when he has to. He caries a black a white bag that hangs from his shoulder which holds a lot of helpful items if he travels.
Personality: Leon, as a black sheep of sorts in his family, feels a bit like the outcast of the Joy family. Despite what his family says, he feels like he has to do amazing things to be good enough to be part of the family. So he always makes a point to study everything he can and helps his family in the Pokemon center when he comes to a town. However, if he isn't careful, he could end up taking up more work than he can handle and get overwhelmed. In short, he has a little of an inferiority complex when it comes to family. This has developed into a perfectionist side to Leon.
Other than that problem, Leon is a socially confident guy. He is found to be friendly, chivalrous, an intellectual, and with a good sense of humor. When asked about Pokemon, he can come of as a little bit of a know it all. His hard work in medical studies on Pokemon have allowed him to learn a lot. One surefire way to shut him up is to offer him sweets. He has a bit of a sweet tooth on him.
When with injured Pokemon, Leon is always serious and focused. He takes his work very seriously and does his best for every Pokemon no matter what. The only type of Pokemon he acts a little different around are Cyndaquils and their evolutions. It was actually a Typhlosion that gave him the scar on his back. it was a harmless accident, but he always takes extra care when around Pokemon like it. Kinda like a learned reflex to avoid pain. his favorite Pokemon happen to be Miltanks. They are usually calm and gentle which is the kind of environment Leon finds plea sent to be in.
History: Leon was born in the City of Blackthorn, son of the resident Nurse Joy and a trainer at the Blackthorn Gym. So growing up, he had a lot of contact with Pokemon between the several trainers that came to the Pokemon Center and the numerous challenger to the gyms. He grew to love Pokemon because of this and looked up to both his parents. However, he was really wowed by his mother. The way she could turn around the worst situations and heal any Pokemon. It was working Miracles to the young boy. It was then he decided he wanted to be a Pokemon Doctor.
From that day forward, Leon worked hard to learn all he could about treating Pokemon. From medicine to fixing up bones, if he could learn it he did. He even was allowed to help sometimes with his mother. However, he did make mistakes here an there. Not serious ones, but one result in a pained Typhlosion hitting his back with a flamethrower attack. Despite his new found wariness of that certain type of Pokemon, Leon kept learning and working. When he became ten, he decided to start travel ling so he could learn about more Pokemon by experience.
Over the next seven years, Leon gained more knowledge and skill. He visited all the Pokemon centers in Johto and became quite skilled at what he did. He is one year away before he can take a test for his doctor's license. He eagerly awaits the day he can become a full doctor instead of a nurse. Until then, all he can do is brush up on his skills and keep studying. He wants to be the greatest Pokemon Doctor in the world, the best of the Joy family.
Goals: To be seen as equals with the rest of his family and be the best Pokemon Doctor in the world.
