I really am not going to be getting used to this new name. Pokewood sounds wrong, sure, but it at least makes sense with Pokewood = Hollywood.
Either way, compared to the musicals we had in BW these look actually damn awesome. There's quite a few references to many films throughout history and they look like a really enjoyable sidequest to do in the games. I'm thinking i'll like them even more than contests.
Plus its really nice seeing all the cool sprites and the fact you can face off against actual humans now. BRYCENMAN.

Wait, what is all this about? Mind if I squeeze in this topic here and ask for some linkage?
I haven't been watching too many things about Black and White 2 because I don't want to spoil the surprise. I wanna be surprised n' stuff when I play the game, as opposed to knowing everything that's gonna happen and all the people that i'll see. But musicals? Is this like the thing they had going in the other games, like the contests? I faintly remember Black having something like dancing and what not, is this an extension?

Pokewood is like the Pokemon equivalent to Hollywood, Tygress. I don't think the Musicals are around anymore, I'm pretty sure they were replaced by Pokewood. Anyway, Pokewood is an event you go to in the game where you help people make movies. One such movie involves fighting some giant mechanical Tyranitar or something like that. It looks pretty cool, but some people I know that have already played through that part of it on a ROM have mentioned it as being stupid or pointless.
I'll probably participate in it once or twice, and then forget about it so I can focus on the actual story and on battling.

I thought they'd be going back to contests but how they were on the anime with moves then a Pokèmon battle as it would feel more interactive compared to dancing

I doubt they'll be returning to Contests. As much as I miss the Contests and how awesome I think it would be to use the anime's style of Contests, if they do bring them back, I fear that they might use the 'Super Contests' or some other gimmicky-alteration of a Contest instead. And now that I've looked a bit more into it, Pokewood is actually a bit more interesting to me now.
There are different movie series you can choose to star in. One is a superhero movie, one's a love story, the next a slightly-supernatural one, and so on. Each series has at least 3 movies in it that you act out in, and to do the movie right you have to meet certain criteria. So there are a bunch of different scenarios to play through in Pokewood to make the actual movie. Now that I know more about it, I plan on making a few detours to the PokeStar Studios/Pokewood area to participate a bit more.

Cool! This sounds very interesting. I've never actually got to that feature in the normal B&W cause I lost my copies of the games but Pokewood sounds like a lot of fun, even if I don't agree with the titles for the new games. I guess I'll give it a go.

I gave it a shot since you have to experience it as part of the story line. You have to do it once (so far) and it's pretty cool. I did enjoy seeing BRYCENMAN, I dunno what his name actually was on there, but he plays the bad guy. Who knew he could act, huh? Pretty cool though. You play Rioluman/woman, depending. I guess that's what they're called anyway. I was spamming the A button but you get to star in the movies, and they even have a feature where you can see the audience's reaction to the movie. I think it's something i'm going to really tinker with in the future.
