Rescue Mission Requirements: Victim of a Pokémon theft OR assisting the former Universal Quest Rules: As a Pokémon theft can be carried out by one of two organisations, it therefore means the Rescue Mission itself is split into two variants. One focuses on a criminal's retrieval of their Pokémon from a Cherrygrove City Police Department. Security is relatively lax meaning that a surprise attack should work relatively well. For anyone else who was a victim at the hands of Team Rocket's dastardly, they will eventually track the trail down to a privately rented warehouse on the Cherrygrove docks. The company renting out the property is nothing more than a front for Team Rocket and therefore means no mercy should be spared. However, although the two will have a number of variations, there are a number of significant overarching rules to consider while partaking in either: - Three stock Pokémon: When attempting a rescue alone, you may only use up to a maximum of three Pokémon. Should you have less than three Pokémon on hand, then it is greatly advised that outside help or a mercenary is hired. Rescues attempted alone will also have a small chance of a passing gym leader or traveller being in the area and deciding to offer you their help.
- Presence of helping hands: Should you engage this rescue mission with the addition of other forum roleplayers or requested NPCs, then you should reduce your number of Pokémon accordingly. If there are three different individuals aiding a rescue, then each person will use one Pokémon each. If you have yourself and one other roleplayer/NPC character, then the main party involved will have to use two Pokémon and the second party a final third.
- No automatic healing: It is the leader of the rescue mission's responsibility to heal their Pokémon in between fights or should the need arise, heal or revive an NPC's Pokémon. Failing to do so will mean the NPC is unable to help further and may or may not resent your character's actions and no longer offer their help in the future. There is also the added difficulty in the regard that by teaming up with a single NPC means you are restricted to just two Pokémon.
- Activity: In order to ensure a flowing system, it is stressed that groups of more than one person try to adhere to posting in a structured format and within expedient time of one another. Should a member of the group fall inactive, they will be counted as still present but a member of staff will take over the commands issued to their Pokémon.
- Race against the clock: Due to the severity of losing a Pokémon, it means the quest is time sensitive. The player has ONE day from the time of their last post after the Pokémon was stolen, to make an attempt get the Pokémon back on their own. Following that, there will be a ONE point Happiness drop for every three days that they fail to act. If the player takes longer than three months to complete it, the Pokémon will suffer a FIFTEEN point Happiness drop at the end of the quest as well. However should the player begin a rescue quickly, and completes the quest in under three months, they will instead gain a Happiness boost of THREE points.
- Failure is not an option: Should the unfortunate outcome of a loss arise during the rescue, there are several consequences. The first is that the player will no longer be able to rescue their Pokémon back via the mission and will have to send in mercenaries/friendly allies to retrieve their lost partner. There will also be a significant drop in happiness of FIFTEEN points. If players are looking for an increased difficulty, a failure to rescue will mean they lose the Pokémon forever, however, this is non-compulsory.

Station Walkthrough:Unlike a number of other stations situated in Cherrygrove, this particular department of the IPF holds the distinction of being the only one with holding cells specifically designed for Pokémon. Located more accurately on the Cherrygrove outskirts, this outpost acts as something of a stepping stone for transporting criminal's Pokémon to the main headquarters in Goldenrod where they can be properly taken care of; rehabilitation or otherwise. Fortunately, due to recent budget cuts, rumour has it that on a particular night shift there are only so many guards protecting the imprisoned Pokémon, making it prime timing for a bail out to be exacted. Depending on how you decide to raid the station, you will be eventually confronted by three officers. Their strategy of defence all changes depending on how you have organised your rescue mission. Should you have bought only yourself in a solo mission, you have the option of facing one directly after the other or all at once in the form of a triple battle. Rescuers with one NPC or fellow roleplayer or more will be forced into a triple battle. Utilising only one Pokémon each, their choice is entirely random so be prepared for anything. The level of the opponent's Pokémon and NPCs will be scaled to the median of your party. Upon their defeat, they scurry to get help, leaving you just enough time to retrieve your stolen Pokémon. However, there is just enough time to pick up one of many items lying around the station. The item will be picked randomly by the moderator and only one will be available. Should the rescue mission have been attempted on a solo basis, there is little difficulty in deciding who gets it. However, groups of three will have to fight to the death discuss civilly on who should receive the item. Warehouse Walkthrough:Despite the supposed quaint tranquillity of the city, there are dark rumours floating around of a bunch of black jumpsuit clad trainers being spotted around late at night down one of the many warehouse docks. Although the warehouse the rumours speak of is owned by a seemingly reputable company, enough digging beneath the surface turns up the reality that it is nothing more than a front for one of Team Rocket's many operations. Simply steal Pokémon from aspiring trainers, drop them off at the harbour for processing and then ship them off to various other Rocket hideouts for their members to use, or worse yet, sell on to less than scrupulous customers. Fortunately, thinking their plan is fool proof and nobody has cottoned on to the scheme, the operation is run by a very small team of no more than three grunts. Should a surprise intrusion occur, it is likely that the Rocket grunts will be taken off guard and easily taken care. Nevertheless, depending on how the raid into the warehouse is orchestrated, you will be eventually faced by the three grunts carrying out the operation. Their strategy of defence all changes depending on how you have organised your rescue mission. Should you have bought only yourself in a solo mission, you have the option of facing one directly after the other or all at once in the form of a triple battle.
