OOC: continue from my Bellsprout tower "Cold Shoots" thread... Hello to my next mod, I have a few things for my adventure... thank you very much! 1) blank and box Cyndaquil: CyndaquilName: [choose] Gender: [choose] Level: 10 Attacks: Tackle, Leer, Smokescreen, Ember. Ability: Blaze Nature: [choose] 2) my torchic in this thread supposedly learns Ember, can you drop growl for ember?3) Party time! I mean party switch time, lmao. Swap Scarout the Spearow for Xylent the Pansage. Also, add personality to the Pansage: Xylent is a mad, naughty tickler. He has a habit of climbing on people or approaching pokemon and harass them by finding hot spots for his tickling skill. and lastly, replace Leer with Flash. (which enables me to adeventure here.) IC: Just as Alex had finished exploring the Bellsprout Tower, he realized the seasonal change, as the snow had beginning to melt. However, the season would still take a week or two to change completely. As he examined his pokemon party and captured pokemon, he came to a sudden realization. He realized that he needed to grab more pokemon from the Unova Festival. Seeing that it was the weekend, he spent the whole night packing his bags and managing his accounts for another trip to the distant land. After all, he had obtained his strange hugging scaly Snivy from there! He wondered what pokemon he had missed for his study and his adventure. During his week there, he happily purchased a Pansage named "Xylent" or "Xy", a Petlil named "Chryaisy", and a Cottonee named "Weecot". Strange name aside, he would have to train them a little to see what properties those grass types pokemon would have. Additionally, he felt a little disappointment here and there with the unfortunate gamble with the Unova Lottery. Oh well. At least he snatched a few utility consumable wings. After his week of "vacation", as in, his break from pokemon training and studies, he had returned to Johto, and made his way back into Violet City. The walk from Cherrygove Port returning from Unova wasn't too bad, and definitely cure the incoming seasickness that he alleviate with walking. Since he had returned in the morning, he literally just shuffle materials in his backpack a little bit after he returned to his room in the Violet Pokemon Center. Now, originally he had intended to explore the routes around the city, but the dark clouds looming and crackling dry thunder warned him to find a shelter. Yet, his stubbornness and determination disobeyed his cautiousness. Eventually, the sky poured down rain in the dark, sunless field. Alex quickly ran to a Dark Cave with his Dustox hanging about. Neither of them liked to be drenched in rain. A mild stream of wind shocked his senses with his drench skin, making him feeling a little bit colder. He sighed in relief that the sky wasn't hailing, like he had his first battle. Thankfully it's spring... The trainer and the fluttering bug entered the cave a few steps as they looked at the outside of the cave, flooded by the tapping rain. He waited as the rain passed, and hopefully avoid the partnering wind that sometimes sweeps a few rain a little into the entrance. He listened to the rain as he waited, and the weather don't seemed to be calming for a moment. He sat on the hardened cave ground, leaning on a wind-polished wall, and listened to the consistent rhythm of the rain. Ta-da-da-ta-da-tadadtatadadatadatada... OOC: not very detailed lol. but basically it's raining and he just found the cave and hide in there and explored a bit. problem with typing post at night: not a good quality lol. I'll actually use Flash in the next post... since my character supposedly is not too deep into the cave and can see the (dim) light from the route

Drip-Drop-Drip-Drop-Drop. The water from the rain fell slowly into the dark cave through a crack in the covered rock above. Unfortunately a rock pokemon seemed to have found his place below the droplets of water at this unfortunate time. It opened it large eyes and thrashed around on the ground making quite a ruckus in the quite large cave.
The dark didn't bother this pokemon in the least but the water sure as heck bothered the ornery pokemon. Finishing with it's fit of enraged pounding and bashing of the walls and floor trying to find a dryer place it noticed a body by the wall just inside of the entrance. The light from the outside just giving the man enough to see a small bit of the inside, this trainer though is going to need some hefty electricity power to get this place to light up.
The Geodude rolled and bashed it's way over to the man and collided quite harshly with the trainers foot a few times before it moved backwards and glared at the pokemon by it's side.
An enraged Geodude is never a fun battle to be apart of.
Warning! An Enraged Wild Geodude (Lv. 10) has decided that your the best thing to hit! [Battle] or [ Flee]?

He was mindlessly listening to the drizzle of rain when he suddenly felt a rock rolled and bump onto his leg. Ouch! Nope, it bumped quite a few times more, like three times total? Alex grabbed his painful leg with one hand and hopped on one foot, taking a few step back.
Tackzill was landed on top of him, but the sudden bump had caused Alex to stood up, therefore, the Dustox flew to the little space between the trainer's head and the cave ceiling. She was curious as well by what hit him, but even she had trouble seeing as her psychic power was quite weak for the job.
Alex, too, wanted to see what hit him, as he could feel being watched. The pain faded quickly and he let his foot down, now standing on two. He pulled all 6 pokeballs from his hand and looked closely by his eyes. He remembered teaching one of his Unova pokemon Flash after he had obtained it from the Elders in the Bellsprout Tower. Or rather, one of his Unova Pokemon was playing with his backpack and the disk...
Quickly identifying the Unova pokemon's pokeball, he tossed the pokeball, shouting, "Xy, use Flash for us to see!"
The monkey, imp looking monkey pokemon, after he was released from the pokeball, quickly went to his trainer and attempted to tickle him. However, it was too dark for his untrained eyes. He tripped on the ground as he was aiming his trainer in the wrong direction before using Flash.
The Pansage's yelped a monkey yell. Then, the three yellow seed-like shapes on his head gradually glowed, as if it had been storing energy from the sun or something, and now it's releasing the energy as light.
Seeing the dark cave clearly, the monkey jumped up and down energetically, as he had spotted a geodude. Alex, too, found the culprit who hit him in the leg.
"It's a Geodude..." he muttered. "Xy, use Vine Whip!"
The Pansage jumped, wavering its tail this time, as if its tail can act like vines suddenly. Or the elemental whipping equivalent of tail whip, except he's a grass type.

The monkey's sudden appearance and blinding flash of light which had been built up in the saplings upon his head startled the enraged Geodude some. Using it's hands to shield it's eyes from the blazing light, this boulder wasn't one to be messed with at the moment. Damp, irritated and just wanting to find a new place to relax in, this trainer had just got in the way of a Pokemon on a very serious mission. Eyes now growing accustomed to the light within the dank cave, the Geodude relaxed it's arms but not it's brow. The living rock was still too young and weak to lift up heavy clumps of earth just yet, otherwise there would be nothing stopping it from attacking the boy and his Pokemon with endless thrown rocks for disrupting the peace. Unfortunately for it, even if it wanted to attack, there was no chance in going first due to Xylent's speed.
Flickering his tail from side to side and striking it against the floor like a cracking whip, the agile monkey was about to perform a simple yet flashy one hit kill. Jumping into the air and performing a front flip, the monkey's lengthy tail extended some and lashed down on the body of the Geodude, sending it spinning as if it were a spinning top. Crashing into the nearest wall, the rampaging Geodude was bought to it's end, boulder like body crashing lifelessly into the ground.

OOC: Thanks Morri, was Joe's dinner delicious? XD I also love the second paragraph, capturing the move as how I imagined it and not learning fury swipe. IC: Alex watched as his other, green, grass type Unova pokemon used Vine Whip. The first he saw was his Snivy, but this was something interesting. Using tail like a whip! Much, much different from his bulbasaur's vine whip. As the geodude spun, the trainer covered his eyes, hoping the unfortunate rock pokemon would not injure itself from severe rock collision, or, erosion, something like that. It's already small, and it looked like any injury can chip its size smaller. Xylent shouted happily at his first victory, but then he did have the move type advantage. Satisfied with the win, he let go of tickling his trainer for the moment, and instead, climbed on his shoulder. Tackzill, somewhat feeling threatened, "grabbed" herself a spot on Alex's head as she landed, limited by the space of the cavern ceiling. Now, Alex smiled as the surprise battle had ended, however, the rain outside was still heavy for him to go out. He hoped the rain would be gone soon, and not a few hours to make him hungry. Feeling generous, Alex picked up the geodude, breathing heavily, and placed it away from the walls. He hoped the pokemon didn't wake up hitting the wall again, but then having other pokemon trip on it might also be a bad idea. That was the better option he had decided. Alex walked a few steps forward with the Pansage on his shoulder, it's seedlings glowing some light like those mining helmet. He decided to explore around the entrance and see what pokemon would be in this cave, as well as keeping track of his path.

Remaining on Alex's shoulder, Xylent was going to be a key asset to this exploration if the intrigued trainer wanted to explore deeper into the cave or stay inside at all. Even the area around the entrance was pitch black, a vortex of darkness seemingly swallowing this cave in an endless shadow. Unlike the small tunnel which linked the route at the end of Violet City to Azalea that had strung up lights, this one didn't have any guiding glows. So, using the seeds sown upon the Pansage's head to create a beam of light, he atleast had a bit of help. Still, there was still only so far ahead he could actually see. The trainers footsteps and echoing sound of thumbing rain and whirling winds all bounced on the rocky interior walls, resulting in more than a grumpy Geodude waking up from it's nap this time. Even the darkness couldn't keep out the sound of the vicious Hurricane Luna which had just struck up outside.
Unbeknownst to Alex, a group of Pokemon were directly over head, stirring at the loud noises from outside, their large, purple ears twitching agitatedly. Being completely blind and known as irritating, flying Rattata's who hung from the ceiling of caves like this, the common creatures remained perfectly still. Picking up on the presence of the trainer, a single one clicked it's tongue in hunger, the noise causing Xylent to glance upward, bringing his light with him. Shrieking as they were detected by the chimp, the whole load released themselves from their rocky hangings, wings flapping all around Alex. Amazingly, a huge majority of them weren't interested in battling and took off into the depths of the cave, leaving just one who was occasionally trying to swipe Xylent off of Alex's shoulder.
A wild Zubat (Level 11) has appeared to battle! Please select a Pokemon.

(LOL, flying rattata)
Seeing the strange, but annoyingly common purple zubat fluttering wildly when the line shone on them, Alex figured he could use a little battle to wait out the rain. He realized that the zubat looks purple, just like the rattatas spawning in the grass. But not after covering his head and dodged the crazy bats.
One of the Zubats, however, remained and seemed to want to battle, or just annoy Alex. The trainer noticed this and returned its favor. Instead of battling the flying rattata with his clinging pansage or dustox, he summoned another pokemon to repel the pest.
"Go, Serchavine," he tossed a pokeball lightly in the cave. "Tackle the Zubat!"

This bat kept bothering Alex till it saw a flash of light and a new pokemon come out to play. The Zubat swooped down and saw the determined look on the trainers and green lizards face and determined a battle had ensued. Quickly finishing it's decent it opened it's large mouth and latched itself onto the green pokemon's shoulder it's sharp teeth kept itself there draining it's life from the female lizard slowly as the warm blood rushed into it's mouth.
The Snivy shook off it's attacker, when the Zubat had unlatched it's mouth just a little, and used a tackle on it, but the wound had quickly exasperated it's strength but she gave a tackle, jumping a little into the air and colliding with the bat. The tackle was only a small one but it gave a good punch to the flying nuisance. The Zubat fell to the ground at the attack and rolled a bit only to quickly shake it off and return to the air as Serchavine stumbled a little more. It glared up at the bat before looking at Alex waiting for his next call. The wound on her shoulder was already healing and the blood flow had stopped, hopefully she could get this battle over quickly.

OOC: Sorry to everyone in this thread waiting for my points lol. gonna roll the ones in my other thread first XD
IC: With the limited light from the Pansage, Alex could still clearly the battle scene. The sudden awakening he had when he saw the zubat sapped some life with its tiny teeth! That would be a disadvantage of him to send a grass type against a leecher!
Alex held out his pokeball and returned his Snivy. A quick flash of light removed the pokemon from the field.
"Tackzill, Confusion on the Zubat!" Alex ordered.
Eagerly, the moth pokemon got off Alex's head and avoided the cave ceiling as she flew into the battle field. Her eyes glowed with a strange blue light as she prepares to meddle the flying rattata's mind...

As Alex made the bait and switch, the Zubat went largely unaware of the swap until the strange fluttering of the Dustox began to mess with its sonar sight. That snake like creature hadn't been viewed in that way before, that was certain. Paying it little to no heed, the rather dim Zubat went swooping forward and stopped just before the Dustox as it let out a frightening screech that would be enough to make even the most resolute of Pokemon and people alike jump out of their skin. Stoically dealing with the fright, Tackzill finally managed a shot at giving some much needed payback at the flying pest. Focusing its incredible eyes as the Pokemon, the moth concentrated all of its mental power and began to take advantage of its untapped psychic potential. Sending a telepathic blast forward, the assault on the bat's mind was successful as the Pokemon suddenly began to fly erratically, hitting into the stalagmites hanging from the ceiling before letting out a pained gasp from the headache it was under. Problematically, Tackzill's psychic power could only stretch so far and it wasn't long before the barrage came to an end, leaving the Zubat back in control of its mind. Or what little there was of it. Realising that his new threat that had been sent forward was something worth worrying over, the Zubat swooped forward and let out a supersonic screech in the hopes of confusing it. Sadly, the pitch was no where near confusing enough and Tackzill merely shrugged it off causing a miss. Wild Battle

OOC: eh, i guess supersonic failed lol IC:
The Pansage moved his head quite like a camera, chasing down the flying pokemon, except it was visible light instead of actually recording the battle. Alex's eyes followed the scene, and glad with the failure of the supersonic.
"Go get that Zubat! One more Confusion!" Alex shouted, with some echoes followed in the cave.
He was getting ready to finish the battle, not that he likes zubat anyways. Not to mention, he's liking the idea of training some of his pokemon in this cave.

Going for the last hurrah, Tackzill readied herself for yet another psychic onslaught against the enemy. Having overexerted in the last round, it was hopeful that she hadn't spent what precious little psychic powers that she mustered. Concentrating as hard as possible with the grateful addition of light imparted thanks to Xylent's mastery of flash, the large moth began to awaken its spiritual force and hone in on the fluttering Zubat, much as the Zubat would sense with its sonar. Entering into the bat's mind, it didn't take long for the Dustox to gain control and proceeded to make the Pokemon damage itself by flying into things and influencing a pain staking headache. Seconds later, Tackzill's control over the Zubat was severed! All the pain that had been dished out had made the bat lose consciousness. A victory all the same however. Wild Battle

A smiled stretched on Alex's face as he watched his dustox scoring another successful victory. Easy psychic shock. Upon seeing the Zubat retreating, Tackzill the dustox flew and landed on Alex's head again, alongside the Pansage on his shoulder.
Seeing that the pokemon here seemed to be different from those in the grass, and that he's also feeling adventurous, Alex advanced a little further in the cave. With a hand holding onto the cave wall, the trainer slowly dove further into the cave.
Whatever that will await them, his pansage will surely spot it with his illuminating seed-lamp.

And spot it Xylent would. As the monkey craned his neck around to survey the area so that they could not only just see but look out for threats, it was understandably jarring to hear the laughter of what sounded like a small young girl. Due to the acoustics of the cave, the child like giggle bounced off in all directions, therefore distorting exactly where the source came from. A few pitter patter of feet later and the laugh continued again, almost as if it was taking enjoyment in how vulnerable Alex and his group looked in this unyielding darkness. What could the source of the noise been? Had a young girl been murdered in this cave and her ghost now haunted the underground caves? Or perhaps it was merely a sound that was natural within the caves, a potential unknown noise that occurred so deep within these vastly unexplored complexes? It was impossible to say until Xylent's blinding flash focused on something peeping out from the side of a ground stalagmite. Its humanoid shaped figure and waist high height made it look similar to that of a girl. Laughing again, it was also possible to pinpoint the laughter coming from there. However, as Alex and co moved closer they would be given the surprise of their life as a monstrous set of jaws came out of nowhere and barked out violently, all the while gnashing its fearsome maw together. Getting a better light on the creature, it appeared they had come into contact with a well known deceiver of the cave... A Mawile. Encounter

As soon as Alex heard the sound, his mood intensified and seek to identify the source. So soon the biting pokemon appeared. As the humanoid creature peered out of the stalagmite with its back-jaws chomping, the trainer immediately identified that it was not a rock type.
There was nothing rocky looking about this.
At all.
And clearly, this pokemon have no characteristics or future that draws Alex's attention. Although Alex ought to give battling this pokemon a try.
Not wanting to risk his grass and bug type pokemon, Alex withdrew a rather familiar pokeball to battle. Thinking it had been a while since the bowtie Lopunny had given him the egg, he wondered how would that Lopunny view his participation in raising this torchic.
"Go, Rosthrem, hit it with Ember!" Alex ordered.
Technically, before he had this torchic, he hadn't bother with fire pokemon. Although now he had some creative thoughts on how to incorporate them...
