The Tauros continued to eye Alex with a suspicious gaze, nervously shuffling its hooves on the sandy earth. Its head tilted to the side to see the human reach into its pack for something. The Tauros's three tails swished side to side. It had remembered a long time ago that another human Trainer had threw some tasty food at it before. A spark of hope flashed through the Tauros; perhaps this Trainer would feed it too! It was just now that it realized how hungry it was.
All caution lowered at the thought of food, the Tauros obediently opened its mouth wide, ready to catch the food Alex was going to throw. However, instead of delicious bait landing in its mouth, a hard rock sailed towards the Tauros, bouncing off the top of its head. The bull let out a startled bellow, rearing back as its head throbbed in pain. Snorting and snarling, the Tauros's rage built up as it glared at Alex. Not only did it not get fed a tasty treat, it had been lobbed by a rock! The Tauros let out an angry bellow, head swinging low to the ground to show off its horns. It wanted very much to charge at Alex and ram its horns into his fragile human body, but commen sense managed to keep the Tauros at bay as it waited to see what Alex would do next.Wild Safari Encounter--------------------------------------------------------- Wild Tauros(Lvl 11) appeared!Tauros is angry towards you for throwing a rock (and now has a large bulge on its head)Please select one of the following to proceed: [ Throw Bait ] [ Throw Rock ] [ Throw Safari Ball ] [ Flee ]

Alex was confused by the Tauros when it opened its mouth wide. Did it expect to eat or something? Hm... He questioned if he should throw a bait, even though he knew that throwing rocks increase success the capture of the pokemon.
Maybe later.
For now, Alex had convinced himself the success of rock-ball combination, and he would tested this out again. He hastily tossed a safari ball at the hoof pokemon.
Maybe he'll throw the bait later, he thought, as he haven't throw an actual bait so far in this safari run...

The bull Pokemon snorted and let out a warning bellow when it saw Alex start to reach into his pack. The Tauros's tail swished uneasily, wondering what the Trainer had planned next. Suddenly, a spherical object that glinted unnatrualy under the sunlight was hurled towards it. The Tauros let out a startled moo, scrambling back a few paces but it was too late to run. The Safari ball snapped open and the Tauros felt itself hurtling inside the capsule before it snapped shut. The Safari ball landed back to the earth. The ball began to vibrate and roll violently as the Tauros struggled to free itself. However, the Safari ball proved quite resistant and the Tauros was too exhausted to struggle any futher. The ball slowed to a stop, flashing a red light in the middle to show that the capture was successful. Congrats! OOC: 4 Joey, 1 Megan, 2 Rane
Status: 20 safari balls, 7 encounter(s), Desert
wooper, lombre, luxio, houndour, duskull, torkoal, tauros, yup, 7.
Do I just rp in Baoba's hunt to claim my Quick Claw? lol.
IC: Alex watched as he waited for the pokeball to wobble. The flash of red light and the significant "ding" noise notified his success. However, instead of grabbing the pokeball immediately like his other catch, he twisted his bottle cap and drank a little more water.
How do these pokemon even survive in this heat? Like this Tauros with its muscles. Must be sweaty for that pokemon, he thought.
Then, after properly closing his water bottle, he walked forward and claimed his safari ball. Now, he just needed to remember to trade this Tauros for whatever goodie that comes along.
With a few encounters left, he start tracing his way back in the desert, just in time for another encounter...

By now, Alex's presence within the desert area of the Safari Zone had become well and truly felt by the many denizens that inhabited the dry, dry plains. If anything, his ability to diffuse many of the great threats had pegged Alex as something of a grand being to some of the less fortune creatures around. Some were even looking up to him as a sort of God with the ability to whisk away any Pokemon that dared posed any trouble. Suffice to say, it wasn't out of the reams of possibility to realise he had gained his own number of followers at this point. One of which was stalking him along the sandy plains. Stopping every so often as Alex took a pause, the Pokemon used its incredible likeness as a cactus to camouflage within a setting that had very little to stick out about it. However, the fact that there was a seemingly never distancing cactus on one's tail did make it bit of a give away. Starting to get tired with hide and seek, the Cacnea decided to bounce up and down and make bit of a racket to get Alex's attention. So this was the arch being who ruled these deserts. The Cacnea was truly awed. Safari Encounter

OOC: 4 Joey, 1 Megan, 2 Rane since like, I just gave one point to you at 9/10/12. so you're down to 4 again Also, funny post indeed. Not a god here, Alex just like to throw rocks IC: Just as Alex was walking, he heard a sudden rustle on the sand. He turned his head to examine the ruckus and noticed a jumping cactus, could it be...? CACNEA! Yup! Having a deep interest to grass type pokemon as a teen had helped him identify many grass type pokemons on the spot, such as this spike-ball Cacnea. He wondered what took these pokemon so long to made an appearance. Nevertheless, he was extremely excited that he clenched his fist, bent his elbow and made a "Yes!" pose for a few glorious moment. After that, he quickly reached into his bag and tossed a safari ball. The quicker he capture this desert saint, the better!

Grabbing the attention of the mighty Alex, the wild Cacnea was well and truly pleased with itself. Cackling away in it's own tongue whilst trying to tell the trainer how incredible he was for being able to survive for so long in these warm desert conditions as well as praising the male for his incredible handling of the more larger and annoying predators of this area. The small and stumpy cactus waved it's arms around in circles, only pausing as Alex punch the air victoriously. Tilting it's body to one side hesitantly, the wild creature held a hand to it's mouth. Eh? Had it done something wrong? Leaning back and releasing a shrill as the boy pulled out yet another one of those strange, green, spherical objects, the wild Cacnea knew what was going to happen. It still had so much more to say, so much more praise it wanted to shower.
Eyes flinching as the ball tapped it's forehead, the Cacnea was drawn inside but instantly began struggling to get out. It wasn't ready to be captured just yet. After a shake or two, the ball forcibly burst open, a weary Cacnea standing on the spot and blinking at Alex with uncertainty.
Cacnea is currently neutral towards you. Perhaps a little cautious after having a ball lobbed at it's face. [ Bait ] - [ Rock ] - [ Safari Ball ] - [ Flee ] Safari Balls remaining: x19

Seeing the desert plant itself made Alex glad, but looks like this might not be an easy capture. He wondered if he would need to throw rock again to irritate the cacnea or go ahead and throw another pokeball at the spectator spike ball.
He would need to be careful to capture this Cacnea on his hand if he were to avoid his supply of pokeball being depleted. but for now, with the few remaining encounters, he could still risk a few extra balls.
Reaching his hand into his pocket again, he grabbed a safari ball and tossed toward the armed grass type, who somewhat looks like a geodude, but green.

Waddling on the spot, the Cacnea was starting to get into the state of mind to flee. It was happy this godly trainer was taking posing threats, the poor creature didn't want to be taken away with them. Yet still it hung around, remaining in the same position on the spot, eyes wide as it stared Alex down. Tapping it's two spiked, club like hands together, it looked uncomfortable as it watched the boy reach for another Safari Ball. Bracing itself for the hit, the Cacnea pulled back an arm and frowned. As the ball was tossed, the green cactus gave a dramatic swing as if trying to bat the ball back. Unfortunately, a tap was still a tap. Opening up and dragging the creature inside, it fell to the floor and began to sway. From left to right and back again, the ball seemed much closer to remaining closed but alas, the Cacnea still wasn't ready, jumping straight out again and ruining a perfectly usable Safari Ball.

Seeing that the Cacnea easily knocked out two pokeball, Alex knew it's time to change his strategy. It would be a bad idea to waste poke balls like that if he needed the extra ones for his future encounters. Just a little stingy or cautious shouldn't hurt.
Eager to catch this pokemon, and continuing to keep trying, Alex tossed a rock the size of his pinky finger toward the spike plant. As the rock flew in the air, he watched the pokemon's reaction...

The cactus Pokemon was now starting to get somewhat annoyed by this trainer's game of "catch". The Cacnea was starting to think this trainer's definition of catch was to throw Pokeballs that sucked the poor Cacnea in, instead of happily throwing the spherical object back and forth. It realized Alex was already reaching into his pack for another object and the cactus Pokemon braced itself, swinging both of its spiky arms as if to show it was ready to hit back another Pokeball. However, what Alex hurled was not a large Safari Ball but something much smaller. For a second, the Cacnea stood there with wide eyes, for the rock was small enough to be invisible. Suddenly, something sharp and hard smacked it right in the forehead, causing the cactus Pokemon to stumble back with a cry of pain. Now the trainer was throwing rocks at it! Fury seethed through the Cacnea, turning its face red with anger as it jumped up and down, crying a challenge. OOC: 2 Joey, 1 Megan, 3 Rane IC: Alex watched as the rock hurled and hit the cacnea's head. He wondered if his aims were always this perfect, hitting the head somehow and not something off like, the torso, legs, or back of the pokemon. Of course he wasn't thinking about hitting more rocks on other part of this ball plant, but maybe for future pokemon he should try aiming something other than the head for his own amusement. As the cacnea stumbled backward, Alex quickly reached his hand and grabbed a pokeball. After all, he was anticipating the day he have a cacnea and it evolves into a mean Cacturne. Oh, the battles he would have. But for now, a safari ball would be a good start... Attempting with yet another Safari Ball, the Cacnea was still amazed with how Alex appeared to have a seemingly endless supply of these items. As it soared forward, the Pokemon made sure that it wasn't going to be suddenly hit with another rock, the Pokemon instead stood its ground proudly. That rock had hurt and made the diminutive cactus angry but it was glad that it hadn't displeased this omnipotent God of the sands to be hit with another. Letting the Safari Ball nudge it in contact gently, the capture device whisked it up and with a plonk to the floor, began rolling back and forth between the grains of sand. Once... Twice... Thrice...

Kelvin+ Victor also, is it okay to ask a mod to move all the blank pokemon in my box to the bottom while the ones named are at the top? IC: Alex jumped, leaped, whatever and cheered his victorious catch of the spine plant. Cactus pokemon are known for their ability to survive in dry climate, such as this desert. Their spiky arms and body also are good arsenal for weary predators. Not to mention, the evolved Cacturne are known for their fiendish stalking and camouflage. It will be interesting with this Cacnea... After his victorious moment of awesome, he finally got himself to move toward the now occupied safari ball and picked it up from the sand. Happily securing the ball in his pocket, he continued his trek to return to the cart. Then, he felt something around him...

Although the Cacnea may have looked up to Alex's presence as some sort of other worldly deity, not every denizen of the sand was equally as in awe of the trainer's presence. Remaining hidden away within the folds of the sand, this stealthy menace was quietly biding its time. In fact, it wasn't even sure if it was going to make itself known to spare it from being enslaved by the safari going trainer. If it kept to itself, it could remain in this bliss like desert until it was an elderly scorpion for sure. However, that wasn't going to be the case. While it wanted to follow its dream, it wasn't going to shy away if Alex came towards it looking for a fight. Sadly, this was going to be unavoidable as Alex started to track his way, just in the vicinity of where the lurking threat was concealed beneath the sand. As his foot came down, a sudden scurrying from beneath the sands unfolded and it wasn't long before a wild, vicious looking creature flung into the air, only just narrowly missing its chance to do some damage with its poisonous barb. Landing back on the floor, the Skorupi knew it was in a spot of bother. Safari Encounter
