A sudden movement Alex had felt on the sand he was stepping on made him jerked and took a few cautious steps back. Was something moving beneath the sand? Then, he saw a blue, small shelled pokemon leaped into the air. The trainer nearly fell to the floor from the sudden surprise.
A Skorupi!
Awesome! he thought to himself. Seeing this opportunity, he hastily tossed a safari ball, wasting no time to capture this poisonous burrower of the sands.
It won't be long before Alex made another successful capture and cheered for himself. His glorious 5 seconds moment of fame.

What else would a trainer do in Alex's position? Lacking the safety and protection of his Pokemon, it was a very restricted situation to decide on how to proceed. A venomous and highly dangerous creature of the wild had just ambushed out of nowhere and was now threatening Alex's very safety. Even the tour guide was taken aback and appeared jarred as to intervene and act as protector. Sure there was a chance to throw some food its way but this Skorupi didn't look like the snacking type. Then there was the concept of throwing a rock at it. Given it was a mere Bug type, it would have been disastrous to attempt such a folly and risk the chance of obtaining such an exotic specimen. Therefore, the only option worth left doing was attempting a capture. There was also running but only wimps do that. As the Safari Ball went flying out of its hand, the Skorupi flung its barb forward to retaliate against the incoming proximity of the capture device. Merely hastening the capture process,, the capture device bathed it in a red glow before whisking it up. Closing mid air the device fell to the floor with aplomb and made contact with a dab to the floor, just as started to rock back and forth tempestuously. Once... Twice... Thrice...

IC: Alex cheered and expressed his joy as he had when he caught the Cacnea. After his glorious moment of spotlighting himself in the human-less desert, he proceeded to pick up the pokeball with his hand and placed the pokeball in his pocket.
Now, he can finally continue to trek his way back to the cart in the safari zone. He walked in a jolly manner, may be skipping a little. He could see the safari guide and the cart in his vision. He was almost there.
Almost.
Just kidding, he felt another pokemon around him. Looks like this would be the final encounter in this expedition.

Alex had every right to be happy as he meandered his way joyfully back towards the Safari Zone Guide. Pocket full of new and exotic creatures, atleast he would be rolling in money if he didn't wish to keep hold of them for himself. But he didn't want this capturing spree to finish without one final encounter to top off the previous nine, right? Well he was in luck. A pair of dark eyes had been watching him from the moment the Jeep pulled into the Desert area. Every rock, ball and piece of bait thrown, this creature had seen it all. Trio of tails whipping up dust agitatedly, the bulky Pokemon began to trot forward towards Alex. Snorting and shaking it's head as if preparing itself, the bull like Pokemon wore a look of indignation. Perhaps it wanted to charge forward and buck the male right up into the air or maybe this staring contest was a way of telling Alex to just hurry up and leave. Afterall, he had previously captured one of his brethren.
A wild Tauros (Level 10) has been encountered! Tauros is currently neutral towards you. [ Bait ] - [ Rock ] - [ Safari Ball ] - [ Flee ] Safari Balls remaining: x16 Final Encounter

The swish of the Taurous's tail on the sand made a light but alarming sound. The flow of sand against a muscled tail. It wasn't like rubbing sand paper on metal, but it was as if someone slid their foot on the sand. Alex turned his head and noticed the large pokemon. The skorupi and cacnea earlier were rather small. But this Tauros was just as about the same size as the one before.
Not wishing to waste his time, Alex reached his hand into his pocket and tossed a safari ball casually, as if hoping for a lucky capture. However, even though that kind of thing happens in the world of pokemon capturing rarely, he was still hopeful on the surprise capture.

The bull Pokemon's hooves pawed at the ground as its three tails whipped behind it. Its angry eyes stared at Alex, though a flash of apprehension crossed its vision, as it realized the human male had noticed it. The Tauros let out a warning snort, a hot cloud of air billowing from its nose. Suddenly, it spotted Alex hurling something towards it, and the unnatural glint of metal that danced off from the surface made the bull realize it was another capsule. With a startled bellow, the Tauros scrambled backwards but the ball had already opened up and, with a flash of light, closed shut with the Tauros inside. The Safari ball wriggled violently as the Tauros struggled to break free. With a mighty heave, the capsule suddenly broke open with the Tauros leaping out of it. The bull let out a triumphant bellow as it realized it was free. It swung its head towards Alex, lips curled back in a growl as its head swung from side to side, hoping to intimidate Alex away by showing off its giant horns. It seemed it was ready to stay and challenge Alex as it watched and waited to see what he would do next. 3 Joey 1 Morrigan 1 Rane Rane, what an angry tauros you made it, haha.
Alex intensified his breathing as he hoped for quick capture.... But Bam! the Tauros busted out of the pokeball with one wobble. Looks like this would not be happening any time soon. So much for hoping.
As the Tauros growled, the trainer knew he, too, need to warn the mammal pokemon. Reaching into his pocket for a rock, he aimed at the head and tossed the stone. As the rock hurled in the air, he hoped that he could capture this tauros after a single rock throw.
But he'll have to see how this will turn out...

Tauros had been expecting the human to be scared of it. It had been aiming for him to run off, and never return. Instead, he remained there. And as if that wasn't enough, he had the nerve, the VERY nerve, to toss a rock! The Rock flew through the air, closer and closer until finally... CLONK! The stone made contact with the Pokemon's rock-thick head. Though it probably hadn't hurt as much as the Drama-bull made it seem, but tears welled at the corner of its eyes. It bellowed angrily and seemed as if it was about to charge but instead, it turned tail and ran, ran until it disappeared into the underbrush. The guide that had been leading Alex around had come up behind him. "Oh how unfortunate sir...I'm sorry, but you've reached the Maximum time limit for today, so please follow me and I'll escort you back to the entrance!" ------------------------------

Alex frowned as he watched the Tauros ran away. Certainly he did not expect this to happen, but it's not like he can run fast enough to chase that bull. He quietly followed the Safari guide on his cart and returned to the entrance.
He returned the remaining pokeballs, unused baits, and the remaining stones back to the Safari Zone. The staff were friendly and congratulating him left and right. He politely returned a word of "Thanks" back to them.
The guide who had been with him from the beginning lead him to a familiar helicopter. The pilot was ready to whip up the winds, but not before Alex settled in himself and closed the door.
"Congratulations on your winnings! We hope to see you next time!" the guide patted him on the back before sending Alex off, it was close to parents sending their kids to school, but this one felt like a commercial strain.
As the helicopter's doors had closed, the blades began to speed up, whipping up a small gust of winds in the nearby area. On his short flight back, Alex smiled at the new pokemon he had caught, and what kind of training and battles would happen. Not to mention, the infamous gym battles that he had needed to challenge.
Either he was daydreaming too long or the flight was short, he quickly found himself in Cherrygrove City again.... But he can resume adventure tomorrow. Time for a good night sleep!
