So now that's been officially confirmed that both the US and UK regions are dolling out the preorder figurines i'm just wondering if anyone has any plans to get them or if they're going to purchase the games from retailers not following the promotion and selling the games themselves cheaper? I've preordered SoulSilver for £30 but GAME are now doing the figure and game for £35 so... It's tempting. I'm just wondering how tall they are. The Giratina one given away for Platinum was rather miniature and slightly disappointing.

Well that's bit of a blow. Don't get me wrong, they're cool and all but i'd like a little bit more bang for my buck you know? I'm also slightly hesitant about ordering from GAME as the disclaimer at the bottom implies it to be that you will be given a figure randomly regardless of which version you preorder. I'd hate to preorder SoulSilver and get a Ho-Oh figure in the post. *shrugs* Oh well, maybe i'm just over reading things.

I got 2 $5 gift card to toys r us instead of the figurines so now I get $10 off Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel so I am even happier.

Wait, did they give you them in substitute of the figures? I heard a lot of them had sold out in America when people had gone to pick them up.

I've preordered mine from GAME but whenever Cammy and I preordered them together the man said he didn't know whether they were getting the figurines. It says so on the website but even in-store, you'd think they'd have advertised a bit especially since this was a pokémon event.
Also, the Giratina one looked like him trapped in chewing gum. Ew.

I ended up getting a Lugia figure instead of a Ho-Oh figure, despite getting Heart Gold. They ran out of Ho-Oh and offered me Lugia instead. Ah well. Still cute. X3

The figures looked so much better on the ad. There so much smaller then what it showed them as. Pitiful, I don't think I'd like to have something as pitiful as this.

Well, it was free. And you didn't pay for just the figure alone, either. You got the game and the figure was just what they said it is; a promotional item. Free stuff don't tend to be very big. >>

Ha! I've seen some glass staues of Pokemon that are very nice. I'd rather pay money for something then to get something for free that isn't any good.

Then that's called being ignorant. And did you forget about the Pokewalker?

Actually the pokemon runs for $5. Hence the initial thought price of $35 jacked up to $40. I even saw some retailers sell the game without the walker for cheaper. BUT I LOVE MY WALKER >:3

Well, whatever. I just like my little Lugia figure I got and toting around a Growlithe in the Pokewalk. I sometimes see kids at work with a Pokewalk and we intereact with the Pokewalks. X)

I had a feeling they'd be the same size as the Giratina figure. I had bit of a crisis on Tuesday as I was wondering if I should get an order in at GAME where they give away the figures but then I realised there is no guarantee on what figure you will get so instead of meeting the possibility of having THREE HO-OHs or whatever I decided to preorder another exclusive alternative from Amazon... POKEMON SOULSILVER: 3D CASE EDITION! So who knows what that one will turn out to be like as it has no preview. Still, least i'm getting a snazzy something.
