"New Bark Town. A new place, filled with new adventures and opportunities."
Sharada, a new trainer, stood proudly outside of the Pokemon Lab with her brand new Pokemon, Charmander. He was out of his pokeball and walking along happily with Sharada. "Hehe hehe. You are pretty cute, Charmander! I know I was going to have the best when I saw you." she giggled excitedly, lifting him up.
She placed him on her shoulder so that his legs and tail dangled down her back and his arms rested on her shoulder, "Char Char!" it cried happily.
Sharada began to walk away from the Pokemon lab, both her hair and Charmanders tail swayed in time with each other. As they walked along the street, the Route started to come into Sharada's view, "Ooh look! Our first Route!" She placed her foot on a nearby bench and dramatically pointed to the sky, "Watch out Johto! Sharada is on her way! Hohohohohohohoho!" she laughed manically, causing Charmander to sigh and look away slightly embarrassed.

While Sharada was busy laughing, she did not notice the strange commotion coming from the direction of the Pokemon Lab. Luckily, her Charmander was being more observant and he tugged vigorously on her skirt to get her attention.  They both looked together back in the direction where they had been just a few moments ago and saw something running around at an amazing speed. Someone wearing a lab coat was chasing after it and he didn't look too happy. The man in the lab coat caught sight of Sharada and Charmander and called out to them both. "HELLLOO. Could you two help me for a second? Your Charmander might come in handy." |

Sharada's laughing stopped immediatly as she felt something tugging at her skirt. She turned to see it was Charmander and began to pat his head gently, "Heh, sorry. Got a little carried away hm?" The Charmander continued to point in the direction of the lab, "Char chaaar!"
Sharada turned slightly, spotting something charging in their direction, "H-Huh? What is that?" She blinked a few times as a man in a lab coat also caught her attention. Her facially expression was slightly blank as he called out to her. She looked to Charmander, slightly confused before stepping out more onto the path.
She thrusted her right arm forward and pointed to the Pokemon charging in their direction, "Okay! I get the feeling the man wants us to stop that running beast! Charmander! Let's see what we can do!"

The Spinda suddenly spotted Sharada and Charmander and ran towards them. It looked like it wanted to create more mischief and havoc. The man in the white lab coat following in close pursuit but he was getting really tired and out of breath by now from all the chasing. Finally, the Spinda stopped dead in its tracks and was face to face with Charmander. It had a heart-shaped mark on its forehead and was also carrying an item. It was a smooth claw and it seemed to be the source of Spinda's amazing pace. Battle

The man finally caught up to the Pokemon but stood a fair distance away, panting heavily. He was Jeffery, an aide of Professor Elm's and he began to explain the situation between his huffing and puffing. "That little rascal snuck into the lab and started interfering with all our experiments," Jeffery said angrily. "I have no idea why it's so fast. Spinda are usually quite clumsy and slow. You're a trainer I assume. I hope you can catch it and take it far from here so it never meddles in our important reserch again." |

As the Spinda grinded to a halt in front of the Charmander, Sharada made a loud squeal, "AAAAAAWWWW! It is soooo cute!" She wiggled from side to side before noticing the heart on it's forehead, "Awwww! The heart! Ooh this is just adorable!" She continued to admire it whilst Charmander was staring into the Spinda's eyes, getting prepared for the battle ahead.
As the aide finally caught up, Sharada looked up to him and gave him quite a surprised look. "This little cutie causing trouble? Don't be silly! It is too cute for something like that." She suddenly tugged on her gloves and laughed softly, "Heh heh. But if you insist. I would be more than happy to catch it... Let's do this Charmander!"
Sharada had never been so excited. This was her very first Pokemon battle... But there was no need to take it steady. She wanted to charge in at full power. "Now Charmander! Scratch that Spinda, let's go!" she shouted, pointing her arm in the direction of the Pokemon.

Charmander approached the Spinda nervously and was unsure of how the panda Pokemon would react. It looked harmless enough and adorable just as Sharada had said. Spinda made a sound that faintly resembled silly giggle and quickly ran around behind the tentative Charmander and pushed him to the ground with Tackle. Charmander got up unhappily and Scratched Spinda but it didn't receive the full force of the blow as it was quick in an attempt to dodge. Battle

As the Spinda Tackled the Charmander, Sharada let out a cry, "Aaah! Charmander! Are you okay?!" She watched him lunge forward to at the Spinda and cheered as it hit, trying to give Charmander full support, "Yeah Charmander! Awesome work!"
It didnt take long before she spoke her next command. In her head, it was hit quick and hard. "Okay then Charmander! Keep up those Scratch attacks!" she cheered.

The Scratch attack hit the Spinda doing a cirtial hit. The Spinda was sent back flying. It stuck back with Tackle attack, or tried too. It's attack missed the Charmander, as it ran into a tree instead. Sharada jumped into the air as her Charmander landed a critical hit. She thrusted her arm into the air and cheered, "Nice one Charmander! Keep it up! She smirked to herself as the Spinda was slowly getting weaker. She was going to do this. With a sudden nod, Sharada pointed back to the Charmander, "Scratch that Spinda!"
The Charmander nodded to her command and waited for a moment, before charging head first at the Spinda, it's claws blazing, "Char Char! he cried.

[[Hehe, that's ok. Welcome back.]] Charmander attacked again with Scratch and again, it landed a nice blow to Spinda but the speedy Pokemon wasn't ready to give up yet. It used an Uproar attack which caught Charmander completely off-guard. Charmander fell flat on his back and covered his ears, trying to block out the horrible noise. Sharada cringed at the sound of the Spinda's Uproar attack, as did Charmander. She glared at the Spinda. It sure was speedy, but there was no way Sharada was going to let Charmander lose. Scratch was now probably repeatitive to Charmander's ears, but what else could she do? Her eyes widened slightly, maybe dropping Spinda's attack power somehow would weaken it slightly.
Sharada nodded and grinned, "Hey hey! Spinda isn't the only one who can make noise! Charmander! Use Growl!"

The Growl worked. The Spinda's attack was decreased. It hopped about from the painful sound of the noise. It then walked up to Charmander acting like it wanted to make friends instead of continuing the fight. Sharada blinked with surprise at Spinda's sudden change of attitude. She then grinned and began to laugh, "Oh, hohohohohoho! I see! Want to be friends with us now then, eh?" she questioned, readying a Pokeball. She noticed Charmander had started talking to the Spinda and soon called out to him to move out of the way, "Oi! Charmander! We'll see if the little one wants to join us or if it is just a trick... With this!" she suddenly threw the ball in Spinda's direction.

((I'm really sorry for the delay Morrigan!))
The Pokeball landed a few feet in front of Spinda and rolled slowly down the slope towards it. Time seemed to stand still as the Pokemon only stared at the ball in front of it. It could have easily dodged the slow-rolling Pokeball but there was a decision it had to make.
It enjoyed the life it had now of creating mischief and havoc for other trainers (and professor's aides) and didn't really want this lifestyle to change. Yet there was a part of it that longed for a bit more action and adventure, which was in its nature to seek. Maybe this trainer could provide it?
Spinda let the ball bump into its leg. It had made its life-changing decision. It would join this trainer and go wherever she would take it. Spinda was caught!

Sharada watched eagerly as the Pokeball flew through the air and landed next to the Spinda, tapping it's leg and getting sucked in by a red light. As the ball shook from side to side, Sharada dropped to her knees and cuddled onto Charmander, "Ooh... Come on... she whispered, hoping for the Spinda to be caught.
The ball suddenly stopped moving and beeped. The Spinda was caught! Sharada jumped onto her feet with her Charmander still in her arms, "Charmander! We did it... Well! You did it really! Ooh well done Char, I am so proud of you! Sharada squealed happily, spinning in circles with her Charmander, "Char! Chaaar!"
The pair paused their celebrating for a moment as they approached the ball. Sharada held it firmly in her hand and turned to Charmander, she smiled and placed his claw onto the ball aswell, "Heehee! We did it!" she giggled once more and they both cheered at the same time.
