Yuki Noma I hit the back of my palm on the old blue rusty pickup that I just got out of, turning my head to the driver, and attempting a smile. "Thanks for the ride." I've been repeating that phrase in my head for the last hour, as I know it was the polite thing to do. I had been hitch-hiking to save money for food, and supplies. Not that my mother would aproave of it all due to how unsafe it could be. I needed a way a crossed the country side, that was safe from wild pokemon while I headed to this small town. Some would argue that it would be safer to walk, but I couldn't keep the professor waiting for me.
I could hear the stranger say 'no problemo' as I turned my head away from him. Soon after he said that, and I started walking, the pickup started up again and drove away. I would then stop, and grab the lip of my red fedora to pull it slightly down. I had to take a view of the town before entering it. The small town known as New Bark, and it held a profound professor who offered to give me one of his rare Pokemon.
There was a breeze going on, a bit rough of one, but the sun was shining, and the quaint little town looked happy. I hurried down the dirt road, and straight to the professor's building, assuming that he would be inside, and waiting for me. I opened the door, and had my expectations on a sophisticated lab, but found myself remembering it was a small town when I saw how it really looked.
The building was much smaller then I expected. I wanted this big cathedral look with lots of fancy machines that I would never understand a button about without years of experience. But when I entered this building I was greeted with a small town building. I first could see a wall of text books, research material I imagine, the shelves were in the entrance of the building and isolated the back, like a wall. There were shrubberies next to the windows and and a man standing next to the books wearing a lab coat.
The man seemed to be engrossed in his work, some things in his hands, and so I didn't want to bother him. I was really interested in what was behind the wall of shelves. I wanted to know about the three pokemon I was told about through the letter I got from Professor Elm. I also wanted to be face to face with the famous man I heard about as a traveled all the way here from my home in the country. I wanted a good reason to leave home. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar

"Professor Elm, the best when it comes to Pokemon Research on pokemon Evolution."-A quote by Professor Oak himself. It was clear that the man was busy at work, he was the tall type and wore a heavy white lab coat that looked like it had been worn many times. He had pens, pencils and other various items in his pocket as he seemed to be indulged in his reading about pokemon. Here he was the famous Professor Elm at work busy in his lab. His pokemon aids were about the same rate as they didn't seem to notice that there was a new trainer that arrived-this happened on occasions. But it was no surprise that he was a busy man, he was constantly at work. In fact someone claimed that he had been the very man that had discovered that Pichu had evolved into Pikachu and was discovering more ways to try and enrich the pokemon culture around them. It seemed that there were many possibilities for the future. Finally he turned around, his hand sliding over the book that he had just been reading out of clumsiness and the book slammed onto the floor with his papers that he had been writing off on them scrawled with notes about pokemon. The page that he was on had lost the page almost completely and therefore he lost what he had been reading. The book had been opened on two different pages, and its spine was face up towards the ceiling as the papers were spread across the floor. "I'm sorry you had to see this we're always so busy here." he said feeling rather embarrassed that this was how he had to start the day and it seemed that many new trainers were arriving into the area. After anxiously cleaning up the papers on his desk he quickly looked back to see another trainer that had just arrived. this one was new but he knew why she was here, they had come here for all the same reason. he glanced over to where there were three pokeballs sitting on a nearby table beside where he had been writing down his notes. A fresh batch of the two starters had come in that day. "I believe I know why you're here. You're here to obtain your first starter pokemon. Well you can come over here I can introduce you to them." He said as he was mindful of his hand this time to avoid another slip up. Once he came over to the bench he carefully released the three pokemon into the air. "Our first one is Bulbasaur, it is the grass type. Then we have Charmander, the fire type, and lastly Squirtle the water type. You may take all the time you need to pick your starter. I don't mind waiting at all. Each one is rare and has their own unique abilities." Professor Elm said as he let the pokemon take a look at Yuki. And let Yuki do the same at the three pokemon to choose which one she wanted: Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.

Yuki Noma {OOC Note: You accidentally mistook my character for being female. But Yuki is male. ^^; it's okay though. Just thought I'd mention it}
I stood back a little as a reaction to the professor dropping the book and smiled. This was the man who was going to give him his first pokemon, and he had many questions to ask the professor. What do you know about most pokemon adventures?, Which one of these is the best choice to you?, Anything to teach me?... and so on. Questions about Pokemon and being on an adventure, but I stood there realizing maybe it wasn't the best idea to interrupt this man's work. At first I didn't even realize I was standing right in front of Elm himself. The papers everywhere the immediate movement and response. He expected something a bit more... Regal? Old? none the less he continued.
"My name is..." I paused a moment and rubbed my head a bit, as well as shifting my fedora about. I wasn't sure if introductions were appropriate for the situation. I stood there and thought about it for a moment, and remembered I introduced my self in the letter. "...Noma, Yuki." I did it as properly as possible but I found the actions a little to stationary.
I wanted to help him, but by the time I went to even attempted to walk toward the man he was standing there was tidy as he could be in the situation. I suppose I did kind of just walk in without thinking about anything. Even before I could continue to speak there were three pokemon eyes looking before me intently. Well at least two of the pokemon were looking at me. The bulbasaur, and charmander were looking at me, while the squirtle was goofing around. Perhaps it was trying to show off?
I decided I would leave Professor Elm to his work while I picked the pokemon, well, unless he needed to babysit them while I picked. I kneeled down to the Bulbasaur who was at my feet looking up at me. He obviously was a curious pokemon who wanted to see who I was. I was planning to meet all of them and see what I wanted, but I did already know what pokemon I wanted. I looked at bulbasaur quietly. "Your Gentle nature aren't you?" I asked the bulbasaur, while the bulbasaur simply made a quick 'Bulba' to me. I knew that a bulbasaur would be easy to raise, and this one was very pleased and confortable being around others. It looked pretty strong and healthy. I patted it on the head and walked away from it.
I looked over towards the Charmander, the one I wanted, and it avoided eye contact with me by turning it's head. Maybe I should check out the Charmander last. It didn't seem to want any attention from me, but the squirtle seemed distracted by a shiny light in the building. The squirtle seemed so playfull and loving, and proved to be so when I approached it. Squirtle! Squirt! It shouted towards and ran up to me in a Parkoar fashion. It seemed way to hyper for me, and water types are a little hard to handle a lot of the times. I was afraid the Squirtle was to sassy, or even a naughty nature.
I stood up. "Definately Charmander." I finally stated. I took way to long, but this was going to be the partner for life. I turned my head and walked up to the fellow. He was clinging to the desk leg a bit. Was he scared of me? I sat down next to the charmander to get a good look at him. Timid natures are unlike charmanders so it was a tad bit unique. I got a good look at him, his eyes a bright silver blue, his skin a burned orange-red. "and his name is Kasai." So unoriginal, but I wasn't looking for originality. It finally managed to look up at me, but still made no noise and I haven't got to touch the pokemon. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

Ooc: Oops sorry about that I had assumed from past experiences that Yuki was a girl but I'll keep that in mind if I mod the thread again.
Bic: "It's nice to meet you Yuki, like I said take all your time to look over the pokemon." Professor Elm said as he gave Yuki a smile at the boy. The professor though glance back on occasions to see how he'd be doing at this point. He often made sure that he was still here and deciding what pokemon. Then went back to sort out his notes that he had tossed onto the floor by accident. He knew that each trainer was different in taking their pokemon to this one, some knew right away what they wanted without even thinking things over.
Yuki took his time to take a look at all of the pokemon. Each one seemed to expressing their personality to see how the pokemon were like. The Charmander acted as a timid type and didn't look like it was all that interested in Yuki. Though that didn't deter him from wanting the boy to take the Charmander. He even smiled as he gave the charmander the name. It was true that Charmanders were known to be the eager and energenic type, this one seemed different when it came to the typical charmander. No different wasn't the right word here, it was more like special and unique. Those two words fit better than different, that word didn't fit right at all in this category. "I did notice the charmander's behavior when I first got it, I thought it was just a phase and was trying to get used to the lab. But maybe with a pokemon trainer its full personality will come out and blossom instead of being cooped up in a lab all day. I think you choose good with your pokemon." Professor elm explained glad to see that Yuki had chosen his pokemon and he was all good to go now.
But the bond between pokemon and trainer was a strong one and Professor Elm hadn't even been able to enter that area of research to see how it happened. To some people it was just something that you knew, that you could tell and gain gradually over time. For some people and their pokemon it came over night. But for others, it came in gradually slowly and maybe take years. Depending on the person and the pokemon, that is the best part of it. But he had a feeling that Yuki would be one of those that would not have a difficult time in trying to befriend other pokemon.
"Well, since you've chosen your pokemon now, you can go out and join n on the other trainers. The next town from here is Cherrygrove, but it's a dead on path there and you can't miss it." Professor Elm explained having gone to Cherrygrove there from past expereinces. because of this, he knew that there'd be no problem with Yuki in traveling there. Yes, that area was meant for beginners, there were also plenty of pidgeys on that road too as he remembered the flocks that gathered there. Plenty of good starter and easy pokemon, so he didn't seem concerned at all for Yuki as he'd make his chance to walk in.

Yuki Noma {OOC: Your quite right on that matter. It's a name that is used for both genders.} I gazed up at the professor, finding myself cross-legged underneath his desk. I decided to give the charmander a moment to get used to me before touching him at all as he could be over-sensative as some shy pokemon are. I had slightly dazed off a bit, it had only been twenty minutes since I arrived, and given the time that I spent choosing I've been sitting here for about five minutes. Probably making the professor wonder what I was doing at this stat. I looked over to where the charmander was when I first picked him, and found him hanging out behind me checking out my long red trench coat. He was playing with it? I wasn't sure, but I was glad he was getting used to me.
I gently turned to my new companion and pulled out from underneath the desk, promptly watching where I was going of coarse. I then stood up and grabbed the corresponding pokeball from when Professor elm threw the three of them. The charmander had found itself behind myself, as I could feel him tugging at my coat. Perhaps the color interested him. None the less I knew from that point that he would probably probably prefer to be in the pokeball rather then running outside were everyone could see him. I wanted to show him off, as to look cool, or something, but then turned to Kasai with the half smile I had on my face, returning him to the pokeball.
Turning back to the Professor, I clipped the pokeball to my waist with the others. Starting off on the road sounded like a good idea, even though I just got here. The town was small so I could see why nobody would want to stay and look at the sites. I wasn't much of a people person anyway. Heading out the door was the first plan of action, right after saying my goodbyes. I was pretty sure it was rude not to do so, so I walked up to the other two pokemon, patted them on the head, and of coarse waved to Professor Elm without looking at him. "Bye." I added, hoping I didn't sound rude, and headed out the door.
I breathed in the fresh air for a moment as I was getting way to excited about this journey. Perhaps this feeling was a good thing, but it kind of felt like I was over reaching. I should have asked for stationary or something. I needed to write to my mother about this experience, although I bet she would have chosen the bulbasaur. It wasn't long before I found myself standing there at the center of town staring at the road that lead to Cherrygrove City. I knew there would be many of an adventure in the tall grass and perhaps a trainer or two to fight.
With great hesitation I went onto the short road that was the start of Route 29, perhaps I will have better luck if I was less excited, but I found myself so frozen it was hard to move forward. I wasn't shy, scared, or any of the like. I just didn't know what to do. Especially since I haven't quite bonded with the charmander that I owned. I found myself sitting down in the freshly cut grass next to some tall trees at the edge of the route. and pulling out my map and the letter I last received from my mother and sister.
Looking at the map I found that my stomach growled. Sitting there for a moment made me realize that it was probably lunch time. I did arrive exceptionally early, but I still find myself losing time quickly from daydreaming. "Well I'm not going to eat alone." I know it wasn't long earlier that I put Kasai in his pokeball, but I found myself wanting to try and bond with the little fella. I grabbed the pokeball and released Kasai with a gentle toss of the ball. "You hungry?"
Even though I asked him this and he was in front of me, I didn't get a response. none the less I rummaged through my bag for a sandwich to share. As I was doing this I read through the letter that mom sent me again. This was cause I remembered something important on the letter. Something about a Pikachu waiting for me at the Adoption center, and should be on it's way to... I didn't remember, but I pulled out the sandwich, and handed half of it to Kasai. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

As Yuki and Kasai enjoyed the sandwich the skies overhead began to turn dark. Off in the distance there was a loud sound off in the distance and it was heading their way. The sound seemed at first to be a trainer of Pokemon off in the distance but it soon became apparent that a hailstorm had been brewing over New Bark Town and it was now directly overhead. As if the terrible change in weather was not enough to spoil the day there was a series of caws off in the distance that sounded like a battle going on and not a moment later a Pidgey came running out of the tall grass towards Yuki. The Pidgey had just fended off a flock of Spearow who had been trying to steal it's lunch and in doing so it noticed the trainer and his Pokemon on the road. As it was very hungry and it did not want anyone to try and steal it's food it had decided to try and chase him off next hoping that afterwards it would finally get to enjoy it's meal of roadkill Wurmple. As Pidgey scratched the ground with it's feet it cawed off in on in hopes that the sound would convince Yuki to run off but as it had learned before new trainers tended to be stubborn and a battle was likely going to be the only way it would get to eat. As Pidgey stepped closer to Yuki it had no doubt in it's mind that a battle was about to start and it did not mind at all at this point. It would go a long way to solidify it's strength to the other Pokemon and also give it's meal a bit more time to be soften up by the hail as if was not picky about the temperature of it's food. All it cared about was finally getting to eat after this battle. A wild level 5 Pidgey appeared. Please select a Pokemon for battle.

Yuki Noma The quiet meal didn't last long, despite neither one of us making a noise. I would quietly watch Kasai as he ate. The noise of his teeth chewing on the sandwich softly was the loudest noise around. What I wanted was for the pokemon in front of me to speak, but instead, my meal was interrupted by a hail storm. One second of loud noise sent shivers down my spine, and Kasai seemed to do the same. As I calmed down pretty quickly, my charmander quickly ran over to me in fright. Leaving his sandwich half on the ground, Kasai had found himself behind my right leg. I thought nothing of it at first as his timidness was bound to scare him, but then I looked forward and saw the hungry pidgey.
Was I near it's food? no, I know I wasn't anywhere near it, it was coming at me. Perhaps for my food then. I was pretty sure It wanted what was left of my peanut-butter and jelly sandwich. Sure, you can have some... I knew that the pidgey wasn't going to just take it from me, I would either have to run away, or capture it, and I wanted to capture it.
Kasai was shaking behind my leg a bit, and I realized this would be our first battle. I didn't have my other pokemon on me yet, as I had to pick it up from someone. There was also the fact that one shock from a pikachu, and the pidgey would be down and out. Kasai had to be my choice, but the red lizard didn't want to let go of my leg. I sighed and looked down at him. "Kasai."
The charmander looked up at me with pleading eyes, as he didn't seem to want to battle. I smiled softly, knelt down, and noticed that the pidgey was getting impatient with me, probably about to dive in at the both of us. I put my hand on the top of Kasai's head. His reptilian skin being smooth and warm to the touch. "I choose you buddy." I then tried to give him the same hopeful look he gave me when I obtained him. And eventually, it worked. Kasai walked up to the plate, giving the pidgey a challenging look. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

VS. Pidgey | Though it could have been wrong, Pidgey did not peg this young charmander as having a lot of guts. Rather it seemed...scared. Pidgey watched as the trainer tried to get the young charmander to step up, to fight. All it really wanted to do was eat. It didn't care much about how a fire lizard felt about it.
When it finally stepped up, pidgey could have laughed at its cowardice, still clearly showing to it through the brave face the charmander was trying to put on. Maybe it would take it easy, maybe for just one turn, it would let the Charmander try and gather up the courage to show it that it was strong.
And so sand was launched into the air. It flew until it eventually landed right in Kasai's face. The Charmander sputtered as he fumbled backwards, falling right on to his rump and trying to work the sand out of his eyes. But they were tearing up as he removed his paws, the sand already stuck in them blurring his line of sight. It was going to be harder now.--Battle!Wild Pidgey |Level 5| HP: 20/20 Status: Cat got your Tongue?;Normal Pidgey used Sand Attack!

OOC: Just to let ya know, people usually call out orders at the post after Pokemon appearance when it starts in a battle so we as the mods know what you plan on using. So I had to skip Kasai's attack. Next time even if you aren't gonna have Yuki call out an attack, you can always have Kasai use one anyway, just let us know by demonstrating what move you chose somewhere in the post~ |

Yuki Noma {OOC: Thank you for the Information. I wasn't quite sure if I was supposed to attack}
I watched as the pidgey shoved sand up into Kasai's face, and it made me feel a little anxiousness for a moment. I wasn't sure I was ready for a battle with my charmander yet as we just met eachother. I was good with the pokemon at the ranch, but, Kasai was a different story. I watched the charmander fall backwards a bit, and it made me want to run up to the pidgey and yell 'Shu! Shu you bully bird.' but I needed to stratagize. The pidgey was obviously taking it's time in this battle, and obvously didn't care about Kasai all that much.
I suppose it was a higher level pidgey of the area, just judging by it's looks and some of the pidgey's I helped to take care of in the past. I wouldn't be able to tell so easily till I caught the pokemon, but I was sure that I would need to lower it's attack. So I supposed the first thing to do would be... Growl? would that be waisting a turn? I could miss now that Kasai was lowered in accuracy.
"Scratch the Pidgey, it's just ahead of you." I gave out the command quickly, but hoped that Kasai wouldn't get hasty and attack ubruptly without thinking. His shy nature might lead him to hesitate, and miss, but I had to have confidence in the little fella. I hoped I could give the guy a little help in direction, but none the less, guiding him would require him to trust me enough, witch I didn't know if he did or not.
None the less I stood there as calm as I could, despite the weather impaling my hat and shoulders. It was because in order to focus I needed to clear all thoughts in my head that made me worry about Kasai. Not to have no emotion, but to work with him as close as possible. I only hoped that I could keep calm for the rest of the battle, and unlike how I started. As Kasai needs to know that we can handle this as our first encounter. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

After Yuki deliberately decided what would be the next best move, the timid Charmander heard the order and walked toward the Pidgey once more. Kasai could be running, but the young Charmander was approaching the Pidgey cautiously, but also keeping a safe distance before running fast for a strike. The Pidgey looked at the Charmander boldly, flapping its wings and observing what the Charmander was doing. When it realized that the fire type was going in for another Scratch, the flying type suddenly flapped quickly to tried its best to dodge. The two moved back and forth for a while, with the Pidgey trying to fly away and u-turn 50 times and the Charmander chasing and trying to hop up for a scratch each time, until Kasai finally hit the Pidgey right in the belly. The bird descended for a bit as its balance was disoriented by the hit, and then focused itself and took flight again. Feeling a subtle pain from the Scratch attack, the bird chirped to signal its readiness, and then flew toward Kasai with a full-body tackle attack. Kasai merely budged and took a few steps backward struggling to balance. Once he balanced himself from the impact and stayed on his two feet again, the Charmander dashed back to his side of the field. He kept a safe distance from the Pidgey and waited for the order for next turn.

Yuki Noma I saw the pidgey come at the poor charmander quickly, and held in my emotions for a minute. Kasai was taking a good amount of damage from that blow, and he knew that it would be hard to capture this pidgey with the rate they were going at. Growling might bide him another turn, but it was to late for that, buying another turn wouldn't help to much as it wouldn't take much to bring kasai down. I stared at the pidgey intently. Hoping to throw the dumb bird off with something, but then coming up with nothing in mind. I wanted to capture this pokemon, and I would.
Kasai was obviously doing his best to avoid the pidgey, staying as far as possible dispite his battle range. If I lose this battle, Kasai could end up not trusting me, but I had to figure it out. Wasting a turn was not an option, I just had to buckle down and hope for the best. "Just keep up what your doing kasai, scratch again." I ordered Kasai, and caught a note of worry in my voice. I would pull him out of battle if it got to bad... right?
That made me wonder if I was going to do well with fighting this pokemon. Kasai already was beginning to look tired, but he still looked willing to fight for me. I was slightly surprised at this. He wasn't disobeying, or running off afraid. Was it possible he wanted to try to do what I asked even though he didn't know me yet?
I stared at Kasai's back again, seeing him standing up, but also seeing the fear in his stance. He wasn't there for himself, that was for sure. That is, unless he wanted to prove he was stronger. All I knew was that this battle had to end quickly, it would be cutting it close, but I could throw a pokeball here soon and still have a chance. Come on Kasai. I almost felt I was taking this battle to seriously. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

The Pidgey seemed to be toying with the fiery lizard at this point, attempting to fly just out of reach of the creature's claws. The occasional gusts of wind seemed to aid the Pidgey in this endeavor, practically insulting the Charmander where it stood. However, determination and grit would pull through. Despite the devious nature of the Pidgey, Charmander had claws, and they were going to be used. The battle was neck and neck, although it seemed as though Pidgey was going to come out on top. Something about it's tackle had been perfected or something, causing the lizard a good bit of grief.
The bird let out a caw before dipping it's right wing down to pull a quick turn to face the lizard once more. It tucked in it's wings and allowed itself to plummet forward, racing towards the ground at a quick pace. At the last moment, the bird tucked in it's beak and bounced off the chest of the Charmander, sending it to the ground. Immediately Pidgey opened it's wings to catch itself on the air, allowing it to slow itself down and walk away unscathed. That is, until Kasai stood up. The Charmander glared over at Pidgey, and charged the bird.
Animosity is common in Pokemon battles, and perhaps due to the sheer will and guts of the Charmander, Kasai was right on point with his attack. It had taken the Pidgey off guard, and therefore, allowed a nice hit. Scratching down on the feathers of the Pidgey's preened chest, three marks ruined the feathers and pulled a few of them out. Kasai's tail burned brighter, and hotter as the Charmander returned to it's trainer, ready for the next round. However, as soon as the round was finished, Kasai seemed to want to lean on his trainer's leg. He was looking a bit worse for wear. A Pokeball would be a saving grace at this point.

Yuki Noma I was paused in a bit of consentration. If I threw the pokeball now, I could end up missing, and Kasai would be beaten. Either way I had my eyes on owning that pidgey, and catching it now would be risky, but less risky then staying in the battle any longer. I reached into my tan colored bag. and shuffled around a bit, finding myself wondering if Kasai would be able to hold out till I threw the pokeball at the Pidgey.
I saw that Kasai was struggling, unable to keep up with the speedy pidgey. I was worrying when I was supposed to be calm. I ended up gritting my teeth and clenching my fist about the whole situation. I was not a good trainer was I? I almost found myself beating myself up over this battle. I almost didn't realize how scared and tired Kasai was.
Looking up at him, his breath was heavy, and he was stepping back a lot. "Back off Kasai, keep your distance from the pidgey." I ordered him, hoping that that would be a good break for the fire lizard.
As Kasai backed away from the pidgey, following my command, I finally found the pokeball in my bag. Grasping it, I quickly pulled it out, and examined it closely. I then looked up at the pidgey in an almost glare. Now or never. I gave a good aim, and threw the pokeball at the pidgey, hoping that my aim was near if not perfect. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

The battle had been under way against the wild pidgey. The pidgey was chirping loudly as the pokemon seemed raring to go for more in this fight. However it was quickly cut short. With the heat of the day looming on in the dead of summer, it was clear that Yuki had other plans in mind for the wild bird pokemon: It was going to be caught whether or not it wanted to be captured by a trainer. The pidgey was preparing its next move when it was caught off guard as it saw something flying in its direction. The pidgey managed to flap its wings to try and get aloft, but alas it was too late by then to try and get out of the way. What yuki had thrown was a pokeball, the round red and white device that couldn't be missed. Almost every trainer had a pokeball in their name that held their pokemon within it. But this time another pokemon was about to be added to the team. The pokeball bounced and hit the pidgey just above the tail. The pidgey froze as it realized that it was too late to try and run or fly away. The pokeball opened up, revealing an empty capsule, where the pidgey would later be stored. A red aura formed around the pidgey and it disappeared inside the pokeball. The pokeball fell onto the ground taking the pidgey's place as it began to wiggle. The red light flashed on the center of it showing that the pidgey was struggling to get out. The pokemon still wanted to be wild as far as it was concerned. The pokeball wiggled once... twice... a third time.... and finally click! Yuki successfuly caught the wild Pidgey! Yuki Noma I blinked lightly as the ball hit the ground beside the pidgey. It was a good throw, that's for sure, but the question wasn't whether I could hit the pidgey with the ball, but if I had weaken it enough to capture it at all. This was making me watch the pidgey intently as the ball slowly came to a stop, sucking the pidgey in, and beginning to rock back and forth. I found it quite thrilling to catch my first pokemon, and I wanted to know how my charmander felt as well.
As the pokeball stopped rocking back and forth, I looked over to see how Kasai was doing. He seemed exhausted, but relieved that it was over. It made me wonder if he was doing alright, and if I should approach my friend to comfort him, so I did what I thought to do. I walked up to him and patted on his head, His tired face looked up at me.
I returned Kasai to his pokeball. "Thanks Kasai." I told him softly before returning that ball to my waist, and walking over to retrieve the one with the pidgey. Something about- They'll be friendlier towards you once you catch them crossed my mind, but I never really met a friendly pidgey. I wasn't sure if I should let the pidgey out and examine it before giving it a name, but maybe if I went into town, I could avoid battles while I examined the pidgey to figure out it's name.
I got back into the town and slowly looked around for a place to relax a minute while I examine the pidgey I just caught. I found a patch of flowers next to a windmill that seemed peaceful enough to calmly look at my new friend. I let the pidgey out of the pokeball, and watched as it poked around the flowers.
It fluttered it's wings about and looked up at me, it looked mad, but I wasn't sure what to think. I knelt down to the pidgey's level, quickly measuring it's size and petting it's feathers. It was approximately one foot tall, witch was average for the pokemon's breed, and its feathers seemed to indicate it was the same level as my charmander. It seemed strong, as it proved in the battle we had previously.
"It's a girl... hm. How about Kaze." I kept a friendly look on my face letting the pidgey jump around and enjoy the strange weather. I stood up and motioned to Kaze to follow me. I walked around and watched to see how the pidgey would respond. Kaze followed roughly around, and it made me wonder if I was wrong about pidgeys, but it's actions did let me feel that I picked the name correctly. I returned the Pidgey to her pokeball and then headed to the grass that was Route 29.
{OOC: I think I'm just going to pretend that Yuki Obtained the Pikachu in New Bark town cause I'm not quite sure how to roleplay that out. Another note is didn't Kasai gain some levels from that battle?} |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork pidgeyName: Kaze Gender: Female Level: 5 Moves: Tackle, Sand attack Ability: Keen eye Nature/Personality: [Hardy | Impetuous and Silly] Isn't careful about a thing and always rushes into things. Although she doesn't seem to care about what is going on, unless there's food involved, she is good in a battle as she will show off her toughness with every strong move she takes. Sometimes just standing there taking the hit to show off how strong she is. She tends to mess up a lot and enter things without thinking, but no matter how tough she thinks she is she always seems to be foolish in her actions.
