Starting a journey was always an amazing thing, and this was no different for Shoto and his newest companion. The duo was now a trio, and Kasai seemed to exhibit a bit more... fiery tendencies now. It would've been a welcome thing, if the heat weren't so hot. The weather changes were always drastic and quick. Perhaps a fiery Pokemon was upset and was increasing the Sun's intensity? Either way, it was beginning to get hotter as time pressed on, so press on they did. Wild Pokemon would become agitated with the weather, and a few of the rowdy ones would probably emerge to temper their hot emotions. Thunder boomed over head, threatening to hail with the thunderous snarls the clouds released. Battles wouldn't be the easiest if those clouds let loose...
A timid Pokemon watched from the sidelines, the tall grass at the side of the Route. Although it was a starting route for many, and Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur were a common sight with children and the occasional adult, it was still an awe inspiring sight for the small bug. The chance to travel with someone as a partner and see all the world? It was something the tiny bug craved for at that moment. The previous battle showed that the trainer had chosen the fiery Charmander, which made the Wurmple nervous. It wanted to battle, but the fiery lizard only had to cough in his general direction and Wurmple would have quite the terrible day.
However, the idea of a heated battle amidst the thunderstorm would probably give it bragging rights? What Wurmple stuck it's neck out for a good battle? None. Wurmple didn't think so. Perhaps it could make a name for itself! So, ignoring all teachings from it's kind, it burst forth from the hiding spot in the grass to face the wandering trainer. Fear rested in the bug's eyes, but it was about to prove itself to... well, the trainer as well as itself! Wurmple let out a little cry and got into an attacking stance, ready for the novice trainer to begin the battle.
Wild Wurmple has appeared! (Level 4) Will you Fight or Flee?
(Tyger OOC: Yup. You gained +3 levels, so Kasai is level 8. Kasai also learned Ember! Sorry for the mix-up. Nothing that isn't too difficult to fix)

Yuki Noma I walked into the soft grass, the heat of the sun, the stormy clouds, it was a mix of weather and it was slightly pressure filled. I decided that I was to look for another pokemon. I needed more practice, and hey, maybe I could run into a trainer, or catch another awesome partner. So I rustled around a bit, finding myself watching my every step looking for something. I then heard a small growl of sorts. It sounded maybe of a bug type pokemon. I got myself to think about it for a moment, what kind of bug pokemon would it be... it sounded like a gerrou. a strong start of er, and then a quick aw sound.
Wurmple maybe? I guessed, I wasn't sure what type of pokemon I would see, and I didn't have the experience of my mother. It probably was far as a shroomish's call as far as I was concerned. The noise was a little hard to tell apart. I turned around to look at the creature. At first I couldn't find it, but soon enough, I saw it's little head poking up at me. It seemed to be challenging me to a battle? did it watch me earlier or something?
I stepped back in response. I wasn't going to say no, especially when it was a great chance to train my newly caught pokemon. I reached over to my hand sown poke-holster to grab out what I knew was my pidgey, and pulled it out. I pointed it forward, then tossed it lightly in front of the Wurmple.
a quick flash of red light, then after a moment of taking shape, the light turned to the Pidgey. Kaze came out cleaning her feathers, and gave a quick gaze to the wurmple. She fluffed up trying to intimidate her opponent, and finding that it didn't seem to work in the way she wanted. I knew that was because she wasn't intimidating enough to have that ability, and in the end it was just adorable to see the little bird try.
I gave the wurmple a moment to assess the situation before yelling out at Kaze to prepare her for battle. "Kaze, Tackle." I gave the bird an immediate order, seeing as accuracy wasn't a huge thing to worry about when it came to the bug pokemon, at least, I didn't think it was. I figured that a few tackles should do the trick, but I also didn't want to underestimate a wurmple to much.
I was also debating whether I want this pokemon on my team. I wasn't a huge fan of bugs, but a wurmple could be a useful partner in the future. I suppose I couldn't turn down the offer, but I did find that there was probably more useful pokemon in the grass. I decided in the end to just give myself some time before commencing any choice of capture. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

Vs. Wurmple - - - - - - - - - - - - - Wurmple trilled in delight as the trainer decided to accept its request for a battle, forgetting for a moment to look fierce and hastily moving to correct its error with a less than intimidating glare. Upon seeing Kaze emerge, some of the bug's confidence faltered; it was even more well acquainted with the common Flying-types that called Route 29 home, many of which had tried to make an easy meal out of it. This thought fired up the Wurmple, determined to prove its strength to the trainer and be courageous in the face of adversity. Rearing up, Wurmple let out a battle cry and threw itself forwards, squirming towards an unimpressed Kaze.
She took a few hops back, knowing it would be easier to simply fly out of the way of the oncoming attack, but perhaps she simply sensed that the weather was not going to cooperate; for soon after Wurmple began to move, hail descended from above following a particularly jarring clap of thunder. Ranging in size from dime-sized pellets to almost Poké Ball big chunks, it created quite the hazardous situation for both battlers. Kaze tucked her wings tight to her body before racing forwards, lowering herself to ensure a nice, clean hit against Wurmple.
Ramming into the bug's squishy body, Kaze chirped in satisfaction when it squealed in pain and tumbled away from her. Wriggling back to a standing position, Wurmple resumed its charge, bearing smudges of dirt and a few scrapes from its fall. Tucking its head, the Bug-type hit Kaze with a Tackle of its own, Yuki's Pidgey on stumbling slightly from the hit. Topping off insult to injury was another deluge of hail battering both Pokémon, neither looking very pleased by this turn of events.

Yuki Noma The hail beet down over the lip of my fedora, my shoulders, and my bird pokemon Kaze. The wurmple seemed brave and triumphant as it leaped forward after my pidgey, and I realized that it wanted to show that it was different. I knew that feeling all to well. A way to stand out from the crowd was difficult, and this poor wurmple wanted a chance to shine. I smiled, and found myself rather happy about the wurmple's actions, knowing very well what I was going to do next.
I felt a little bad about the situation however, both pokemon were taking a hit from the hail, and I owned no ice pokemon at all yet. The hail reminded me of the snowstorms we used to have on the countryside from all the ice pokemon that mom would be breeding. It was always hilarious, and always cold. I never liked the cold, but sometimes the ice pokemon were very warm.
I didn't move at all, not in reaction to the cold, not in the reaction to the pokemon. At least I tried to stay still, and calm. The hail didn't bother me much anyway. I had my coat on and I wasn't the one who was being impaled. The battle was going to end soon thanks to the weather. I wasn't the best at calculating the enemies health, but the wurmple looked pretty tired. Next turn, I'll throw a pokeball. Or at least, that was my plan.
I gave my pidgey a good glance. Seeing Kaze ruffle her feathers, and kind of brush off the tackle that was given to her. "Tackle once more." I ordered Kaze, knowing that she would follow intently, as she seemed quite content with the easy going battle. It was as if she was prepared for anything. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

The wurmple was still excited to see how this battle would go on. It was even weaker than the wild pidgey but it still gave the pokemon all that it had. The hail came down at a tremendous pace, the air was filled with the coldness from the hail however that wasn't stopping the harsh and hot battle that was taking place. The two pokemon were fighting fiercely despite the obvious advantage that was here. Kaze was already starting to win against the wild wurmple and it was clear that a victory could be handed over to the bird pokemon. Kaze chirped softly as it heard the call from Yuki to make another attack. The Pidgey flapped its wings to get some height in the air. The pokemon was at an impressive height for being so small and then it soon swooped down, forcing a powerful tackle against the Wurmple. The wurmple cried out in pain as it was tossed aside like a rock or a pebble. However Kaze was not out of the line of the hail as the bird pokemon got struck with the ice. It startled Kaze as the bird pokemon lost some health but otherwise seemed raring to do some more damage. As the Wurmple adjusted itself the bug pokemon was ready to strike. As Kaze flew back to its side of the battle field, the wurmple charged with its tiny feet, and landed an impressive tackle attack against Kaze. The Pidgey chirped in surprise as the pokemon stumbled but its wings managed to keep it up right. It flapped them a few times as he managed to feel the pain. The Wurmple was looking pretty sluggish now, and seemed awfully tired. The Wurmple also got struck by the hail storm that was coming. It was clear that the hail was worsening as the battle went on, there was no sign of it letting up any time soon. Wild Pokémon Battle

Yuki Noma It started to feel cold, and my teeth were chattering. The brisk air was enough to freeze my ears and I was beginning to find myself wishing I was in the summer heat rather then the blazing hail storm. I hated the cold. I hated the hail. I hated standing here like this, but I loved the spirit behind the pokemon in front of me. I grit my teeth as I stared at the wurmple. It's eyes looking to fight for longer, stronger, and it was rearing to go at anything.
Kaze was ready for another tackle, ready to give it a good shot at this opponent. Wurmple was going to be her dinner and she was fluffing her feathers for another attack, but I knew she wasn't going to get another one. I knew that the wurmple was weak, even if it was rearing up for another attack, it certainly wasn't going to be able to make another move like Kaze could. I admired it's courage, it's bravery, and it's undying loyalty to it's own will. It believed that it could win this fight.
I reached back into my bag as I eyed the bugs determined eyes. It wanted a battle, and I was willing to give it more then a battle. I was going to give it a new home. I found my hand clasped around the red pokeball and clinging to it for a moment while it sat in my bag. I found that the restless cold battle was something that I didn't quite want to end.
Thoughts of how my future battles with this pokemon were fludding in my mind, of how hard he would try to win, but I would often have to switch him out for one of my other pokemon. How he would eventually evolve into a beautifly, or maybe a dustox. I would be happy with either. Wait, maybe the Pokemon was a female. What name would I give it. I was excited, and I let my emotions take over at the thought of how this bug pokemon was happy to battle me.
I threw the pokeball, it was aimed directly at the pokemons head. I was focused determined, and sure that I would be able to catch it. I was even happy about the situation, but of coarse, Kaze was upset about the situation, looking up at me with angry eyes as if I did something it didn't want. I was sure Kaze wanted to fight more, but in the end, it was already to late. The pokeball was released from my hand, and the next thing to do was wait. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

The Wurmple seemed pretty tired, but despite what was going on, the wurmple's spirits were still up high. It didn't like the fact that the terrible weather conditions were going on. The hail continued to pelt away not only on it but also the Pidgey. Like Yuki, it was clear that it hated the weather conditions that were in the field. Despite all the bad conditions that were going on, the pokemon still wanted to fight and their spirits were high. No weather condition was going to leave them out of this, not the dead of the heat the sun gave off, not the pouring rain, not an electrical storm...well you get the point. These two wanted to battle and give it their all. As Yuki threw the pokeball, the Wurmple realized it but was a little too late on the reaction timng. The pokeball struck it right on the forehead, forcing it to close its eyes. The Pokeball opened, and the Wurmple went inside in a flash of red light. That was when the pokeball fell onto the ground. It was facing red side up, and the white half was on the grassy ground. Hail was scattered around it as the pokeball started to wiggle. The Wurmple was still fighting the pokeball's grasp as it was clear that it didn't want to be captured, it still wanted to be wild and free! The intense part began... It wiggled once.... Twice... A third time...and finally... click! The red area on the light of the pokeball flashed violently. Announcing that Yuki had successfully captured the Wurmple. With a new pokemon to add to his team, he could feel satisfied with this capture. One day it'd evolve into a powerful Beautifly or if it went the other way, it'd go and evolve into Dustox. Either way, the pokemon was going to be another great addition to Yuki's team.

Yuki Noma When I heard the click my eyes widened a bit. Why was I excited about catching a bug pokemon like wurmple. Was it cause I found it calming? I wasn't sure what to think about the situation at all, but I knew it would take lots of training for this fella to become strong. So I set out to train the little bugger. At least in my head.
I found myself slowly walking towards the pokèball that had the wurmple in it. I already knew her name. I've seen plenty of wurmple in the past. Bug pokemon are common, and are often a beginner's best friend. I wasn't sure that would be true about this wurmple, but I knew that I had her now. She wasn't the same as me, nor any other wurmple I knew. So the best name for her would be... Onaji.
"Welcome to the team Onaji." I talked softly to the pokeball, then turned to see my pidgey cawing at me. She was jumping up and down, flapping her wings about, and obviously trying to get my attention. I realised that I probably should put the bird pokemon away before she scared all the weak pokemon out of the grass. Not that it would be to bad of an idea.
I returned Kaze to her ball quickly, and put both of the pokemon on my waist. The holster felt more heavy then I remembered it being. Was I gathering pokemon to quickly, or was I just not used to this situation. I found myself trudging forward a bit in the grass towards the road. Wanting the tickling of the weather to stop bothering me.
I didn't bring an umbrella at all, and I wasn't fond of my hat getting impaled like this. I assumed that the hail wouldn't be confortable on my head either, and I shouldn't just switch into my lighter outfit for this weather despite the town not being far by. I wanted to find a Trainer, or maybe another wild pokemon. Either way, I could train my new friends.
I found myself walking along the edge of the grass, slightly in it, slightly out of the grass. I was eyeing it intently, my hand on my waist side and my other hand up in the air ready to do some poke-finding. If that was a word. I found myself growing too long of a nose for a moment, and ran strieght into a tree. I stopped to take a look at it and changed my senses back to normal. I wasn't usually a klutz, so I deserved to be smacked into my self again.

Route 29- - - - - - - - - - - - - Racing through the grass, unawares of the human up ahead looking around for something to fight, was a lightning quick Pokémon. Whether it was simply having a bit of fun or attempting to escape the hail was a mystery, but one thing was for certain - it was on a collision course with Yuki. If the trainer was paying attention, he would likely catch the sound of the grass rustling as the unseen creature approached, the noise just loud enough to be heard over the pattering of hail. Unfortunately for everyone on the route, it seemed that the foul weather would persist for a while more.
The rustling grass suddenly ceased to move, as if the source of the noise came to a sharp halt. Nose twitching as it caught the scent of a human, the Pokémon let out a sharp growl; this was its territory! Well, not completely its territory yet (it still had to chase out silly intruders, after all). Humans were a problem that sadly would not disappear given enough time, and this one had to be dealt with - swiftly. Bursting out of the grass in a flurry of movement, a Rattata threw itself in Yuki's path and glared up at him.
Fur bristling all over and tail lashing wildly in anger, it was almost an impressive sight for such a small rodent. Scraping a paw on the ground, the wild Rattata gave a sharp squeak of challenge and tossed its head. The constant hail had made its mood just that little more dour, too, making for a volatile combination.
Attention!
A wild Rattata (Level 5) wants to defend its almost-territory!Will you fight or flee?

Considering this would be Yuki's first battle commanding Onaji, it would be interesting to see the results. Having just been bested the round prior, it was difficult to say whether the Pokemon had any reservations about working with someone they had fought previously. Nevertheless, facing off against a rodent of the wild such as this Rattata meant there was very little room for protest if they both wanted to come out of this unscathed. Given it's near feral like behaviour and aggression towards Yuki, this rat would be no easy foe. Having averted its intense glare from Yuki to his new Pokemon, Onaji, it meant the Pokemon was ready to prove its superiority. Angrily standing its ground, the Pokemon waggled its tail from side to side with a swish as if to warn the Pokemon it was not to be messed with. Sadly, despite it trying to seem as violent as possible, the way its stubby little tail waggled was actually quite cute and instead caused Onaji to lower her guard. Although lowered, it was still clear this Rattata would be of some challenge if left unchecked. Deciding to seemingly cooperate with Yuki's order, the snotty Wurmple began twitching its mandibles covering its mouth before shooting out a thick, string like silk that it forcefully ejected over the enemy. Although, this was more of a self defence to protect her own hide. Having lived in New Bark Town's nearby area, the Wurmple was all too aware of the danger of incensed Rattata attacks. Clumping over its fur, the Rattata let out a rueful shriek as it meant it was no longer able to move around as freely. At this point, so bound and confined, all the Pokemon could do was natter its oversized teeth together as it angrily plotted what to do in the next round. Yuki and his team had best be careful. Yuki Noma {OOC: I believe the health of the Rattata is incorrect. this is the first round shouldn't it be at 100%?}
I stood my ground as I watched the rattata play his move, and it was mesmerising. I tipped my hat down to look at Onaji, as to not be distracted by the move myself. My focus had to be on the next move, and I wanted to try and have Onaji in there for one more turn before I switched the bug pokemon out.
Onaji was wiggling about, and staring down the opponent with a fierce attitude, and that was when I knew that even if she was slower, she will be able to land a decent hit. I wanted her to so I gave my glance to the rattata once more to yell out the attack. "Onaji, use tackle." I knew it would take a moment for the small bug pokemon to attack, but I knew that the string shot a turn earlier would also give Onaji more time to time the attack.
I watched intently, relieved by the change in weather. the sun wasn't quite making the place super warm or anything, but the weather change certainly adjusted my mood. It felt warm, and I knew my pokemon felt the same way about the situation. It was warm compared to the cold hail storm, and I knew that meant I was going to head to the next town later rather then sooner.
Seeing that my pokemon was ready for the attack, and not being hit by cold clumps of ice was reasssuring and It allowed me to focus better on the battle rather then thinking about finding a place to shelter from the cold. The ground was still covered in the previous cold ice, but that would probably soon melt and move on. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

The first round had not gone very badly for Onaji considering how aggressive Rattata tended to be. Sure Onaji had lost some of her focus due to the cuteness of Rattata's strategy but at the same time she had avoided taking any damage while even managing to lower the rats speed by a considerable amount. Onaji was not quite sure if her string shot would slow Rattata down enough to be able to out speed the speedy purple Pokemon or not but even if the rodent somehow managed to still outpace her She would still be at full health whenever the next round got underway. The next round came sooner than she had expected however as Rattata made the first move even with a noticeable loss in speed. Rattata was still not convinced that Onaji had lowered her defenses quite enough yet and because it worked so well last time the rodent decided to stay with the same tactic it had used in the first round. Rattata began wagging it's tail around in a cute manner hoping that Onaji would let even more of her guard down. Like before the strategy worked as the bug lowered her defenses even more thinking that the aggressive nature was a ruse and it's cute playful nature was for real. As Yuki gave Onaji her orders however the bug slowly crawled forward ready to make a strike. Even though she was far from fast Onaji used Rattata's own strategy against it luring the rat into a false sense of security before she tackled the rodent with all of her might as the rodent let down it's guard. Rattata grew quite angry that Onaji had used it's playful trick against it. Usually most Pokemon would not attack it Rattata acted tough at first followed by the cute routine and the purple menace would have to find a new strategy if it wanted to beat this pesky bug anytime soon. The one good piece of news for Rattata was that Onaji's tackle had caused more damage to it's pride than anything else so it still had plenty of energy for this fight. Rattata: | Level 5| Health: 84% (16/19 HP) StatusNormal, Speed -1 That all you got? Move: Tail Whip

Yuki Noma Onaji wasn't tired in the least, and I knew that quite clearly. I wanted to make sure that everything went smoothly for me though, as the rattata had made my pokemon a bit to low in defence, and I was begining to think it might not be safe for the little bug to hang out into battle for any longer. My thoughts were that next battle maybe onaji can handle it.
I felt that I was underestimating my little bug friend, but I needed a sure fire way of winning this little mouse. All I had to do was switch out and attack with a new pokemon. The new one would have to be fast enough to blow the first blow, and sure enough, a lot of my pokemon had an advantage in speed, my pikachu, Froakie, and charmander. At least I think those were my fast pokemon. I thought for a moment. Any of them would be a good choice, and I haven't played with my Froakie just of yet.
I reached my hand back to grab Miro out of the specific slot that he was in, but finding myself remembering to need to switch out Onaji first. I grabbed her pokeball, and grabbed and slid my hand over to also grab the other pokemon's ball. I quickly brought Onaji back, and then threw the other ball out to release the pokemon I had grabbed. As I did so I looked back at my holster so I would put my wurmple in the correct spot.
Hearing the pokeball open, I saw my pikachu come out. Blinking for a moment, I realized that I had grabbed the wrong pokemon. None the matter, it was still a useful battle strategy, and I greeted Pik with a hefty smile. "Pik, it's your turn, use Thunder Shock." I assumed he would get the idea quickly with the visual of the enemy pokemon. |♦|Profile|♦| - |♦|PC|♦| || Coded by ShotoNemar || Sprites are Official Artwork

In a flash of red light, the Wurmple was quickly withdrawn back into the safety of her Pokemon. Rattata squeaked annoyingly as it knew what was going on. The purple rodent darted an unforgiving look at the trainer for returning its opponent, and then began charging anyways. The purple rodent was charging toward the trainer, that was until Pik switched in on time. Just as it was charging, Pik took the place of Onaji, standing for a few seconds trying to assess the situation. However, the snowboard-riding Pikachu was tapped on the side by the Rattata's body. So, it had came to the battle of the mice. Pik was hit alarmingly, and squeaked a loud "Pika!" in his panic. Surely he wasn't expecting to get hit within five seconds of being out of the Pokeball! After being hit, the yellow mouse paused himself to look at the surrounding, and to examine the rowdy little Rattata. Seeing how it was running on its feet, the electric type thought carefully where to aim, and then released a jolt of weak electricity toward the purple rodent. Rattata was nearly fried! In the process, the weak electric bolt also angered the mouse much more. Rattata was zapped in the middle of its trek to dash away in safety after hitting Pikachu. It quickly turned around, and darted back toward the electric type. However, this time, the rodent just leaped in the air, and casually pounded Pik with its tail, relaxing Pik's muscle to weaken his defense. The agitated mouse hissed and ran for its safety once more. Pik laid all four feet on the ground, readied to hear Yuki's next order for this mousy business..
