The nincada buzzed. Still agitated by all the going ons of the park event even in spite of such a blow it was still willing to continue fighting. Sadly, its will wasn't enough to warrant victory over the trainer's pokémon. Saury was much quicker and could easily end this in one more strike. The sand burned the edges of the ivysaur's eyes making them tear up lightly, but after a few blinks he was able to clear his vision enough to be confidently make his attack.

Saury's vines slithered out from under the flower. The opposing bug prepared itself as best it could. When the vines whipped forward Nincada actually managed to catch one of the vines. So impressed with itself it forgot about the other one however, thus ivysaur's second whip was able to strike hard on the other side. Nincada was thrown against the ground and knocked out cold.

"Wow, well done Saury!" Said Aglaia impressed, he had become quite strong and it didn't look like the bug types were really a problem for him anymore.
Saury looked apologetically at the nincada, to whom he could say anything as it was unconscious and wouldn't hear a thing.
"Saur," said he to Aglaia instead and sent her a little smile. It was nice getting praised, even if it was just for something as a boring battle.
"Show the way please, you know how to find your way around here better than I do," said Aglaia and gestured for him to lead the way.
Saury almost felt a bit guilty, since he had just taken a random direction and gone away from the path. Nonetheless he continued in the same direction as before, venturing further into the wilderness of the park, with Aglaia right behind him.

Even if Saury had little idea of where he was going luck was holding out for him. As the pair bumbled forward they would spot a different stalk standing up in the grass. It was blue, and two pronged. When hey got closer their suspicions would be confirmed as a pair of bright yellow eyes greeted them.

As they continued into the "wilderness" they soon spotted something blue and Aglaia frowned. Blue?
"What is that?" Asked she curious when they got close enough to see it was a bug of some sort.
"Easy now," warned Aglaia as though Saury had been about to attack, he hadn't.
"Start out with a sleep powder, and let's see if that is going to do the trick," continued she, quite intrigued by this weird looking pokemon.

Aglaia was pleasantly surprised when Saury once again hit his mark with the powder and the bug fell asleep before it got to do anything.
She looped a park ball at it and both waited to see if luck was with them. For Saury's point of view in the way that he wouldn't get an angry bug at his face a moment later.

"We got it!" Exclaimed Aglaia cheerfully and almost didn't notice when the other park ball, containing the scatterbug broke open and released her earlier catch.
"Oh, so that's how it's working," said Aglaia curiously and hurried over to pick the other park ball, in a sudden worry she was going to lose it somehow.
Saury greeted the dazed scatterbug and reassured it he didn't meant any harm to it. To his pleasant surprise, Aglaia let him have some time chatting with the little bug, before it scampered away, and they continued further into the underbrush in the search for other unknown pokemon.
"We probably should head back soon," commented Aglaia quietly, but they still continued.

With the scatterbug freed and allowed to safely skitter its way into the deeper brush, there was another little caterpillar pokémon that had found its way near Aglaia. The kindness gave it hope; even if the trainer was still here for the same reason all the others noisily trampling about the park today. Caterpie made its way near Saury and stopped, blinking expectantly at the pair.

"Oh another one!" Exclaimed Aglaia when another bug appeared.
"Just a caterpie, go ahead and tackle it," ordered Aglaia and were more worried about if they had ventured into an area with a lot of bugs, and if it would be any trouble getting back. She didn't think that the caterpie weren't really challenging them.
Saury really felt bad for the caterpie, but he did as ordered, that was what he was trained to do. Once again he apologized to it before he tackled it.

Caterpie went into a bit of panic, tears welling at the corner of its eyes as it realized what was about to happen once Saury's apology was heard. It pleaded in the form of a squeak but was too afraid to move otherwise. Saury's attack bopped the small caterpillar to the ground. At least it was mildly padded with the thick grass. The bug pokémon curled itself back onto its feet and accepted that it was battle time. Really it shouldn't have expected anything else. Though, Caterpie's mind was still flustered with this whole contest situation, and so could only think to retaliate with a tackle itself.

The small bug wriggled its way toward Saury, curled up into a ball, then launched into its tackle attack. The ivysaur was a large target for sure, but Saury was no slouch. With a quick step to the side he turned the slam into but a grazing blow. Though, considering that even with the graze the Caterpie was the one that was bounced back and away upon impact it was unlikely that even head on the attack would have done much at all.

By pure instinct Saury sent a few seeds flying after the caterpie, even though he probably wouldn't need it.
"Was that really necessary?" Asked Aglaia surprised and looked closer at the caterpie, has she underestimated it since Saury felt the need of Leech Seed?
"Go Tackle it again and stay sharp," told she the ivysaur, who a bit flustered sat in with another tackle.

Almost equally as reflexive, Caterpie shot out a long stream of sticky web in exchange for Saury's seeds. Each were now tangled with something. The seeds began sapping away at the bug while the ivysaur was now struggling to move freely. Still rather spooked and now getting a little frantic, the insecure caterpie rolled up again and made another tackle attempt while Saury was still getting used to the reduced mobility. The result was about as good as its last one. Aglaia's partner then made his own tackle to keep up with the equivalent exchange the pair seemed to be doing. Caterpie still stood, barely, but in the next moment the leech seed did its work and sent the little bug into slumber town.

"Well done Saury, I can always count on you," praised Aglaia pleased as Saury once again won a battle. He huffed, of course she could count on him, he was her first and he was supposed to do as she ordered. He just wished he didn't have to battle all the time.
"We'll better head back, I think the contest is soon over, and I'd like to find Dorthea again. She may think I'm done already and go home without me," joked Aglaia and gestured to Saury to follow her back to the path they had left a few moments earlier.

Turning round and heading back toward the exit Aglaia would stumble upon one last bug pokémon. It was decently tall, and looked like some sort of dressed up child really. Brilliant colors and a dainty grace about it, an Illumise strut its way across the path just as the trainer and ivysaur came up.
