Even if you were 'helping' with a crime, you would still be interrogated and investigated regarding the crime (and breaking/entering the house to subdue the criminal). It was really portrayed well in this post.

Just a few mid-month nominations since I've had some time to read ^^ I'll probably have a few more by the end of the month, just wanted to get these in while they were fresh in my head! Nominating: Caramell 🍬 Post: zapdoszulu.proboards.com/post/197650Caramell does a fantastic job of showing the professor engrossed in a science experiment. I also like the description of the pokémon and their personalities. They did a great job of letting the journeyer have something to build off of, introducing a few characters to engage with if the player wanted to, or just letting the player get to ‘the point’ and pick their starter. Great modding IMO! ^^ Nominating: rjpilot Post: zapdoszulu.proboards.com/post/196223I thought this was a rather touching moment between trainer and pokémon. I feel like pokémon fighting until they get knocked unconscious is kind of a scary idea, and I appreciate that Teddy took a moment to notice that he was the one making the pokémon engage! I also am a sucker for a disobedient pokémon/trainer dynamic! They did a great job showing their Charmander thinking that they knew better than their trainer! Whether they went there because OOC they thought it was the better attack strategy, or because they just thought their pokémon wasn’t going to listen to them, I thought it was a fun read, and well written too! |

I love the use of the other pokémon here to chase down secondary objectives. A lot of posts have a rather singular mind, and I think this is a great example of a plot which feeds into itself. Once Venom is done with this battle, there are other threats he has to take care of. The great writing and well thought out characters are why I am recommending this for MotM!

The backstory of her IPF involvement is a nice touch, and I love the ongoing conversation that Whitney and Astrid are having during this fight. Then Placido comes out and terrifies the crap out of me. Awesome writing, gotta recommend this one!

I love how the trainers are almost having a peaceful conversation, and the pokemon doing the battle are locked in a raging verbal battle as well as a physical one. It’s almost like Yui and her pokemon are having completely different experiences of the same situation. SO awesome!

Now it's a 2nd nomination for this post! They do an amazing job reacting to the different personality types of the pokemon, and it gives a lot of insight into Shiro's motivations and what he is going to be using the pokemon for. His dismissal of the challenging to train charmander and the cowardly squirtle make it clear what kind of trainer Shiro wants to be, and I have always been a huge fan of "showing not telling" what a character wants. Through just a first interaction, this shows us a lot about who Shiro is and how they are going to train their pokemon, and I'm looking forward to their journey as a result! |

It doesn't even come off as cold or heartless, as the Pokemon just seems to accept its personal principles as the way life works.
