ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion
Footsteps moved at a determined pace. The flame-tail lizard kept up with her trainer easily, trekking closely beside his denim jeans. Her wide eyes and upward smile sparkled with lively expression, as the two made their way out of the treacherous route and into the outskirts of their first real city since they’d teamed up together. The orange scaled Charmander leaped up high in the air. Her tail bounced back and forth from side to side, as she exclaimed loud, sharp squeals of delight. Zaiden’s face seemed to relax and slowly allow a half-smile to play across his face, as he spotted the looming towers and buildings in the distance.
The beige lady reached an arm into his backpack and caressed the Pokeballs inside of his backpack with his long, slender fingers. Carefully, he would pull each of the red-and-white Pokeball that housed his companions out. He clicked the button on the spherical devices and tossed them into the air, each after the other, releasing his other partners. A bright red beam of light would shoot out from the center of the open Pokeball, and take shape into each of the unique partners as they were released. They could relax.
First, a golden feather bird shot out of it’s Pokeball and soared up high into the sky. The strong-willed avian screeched out a bold and demanding call as he beat his wings in a quick attempt to climb up as high as he possibly could. When Hageshii was high enough that the world below, including his trainer, looked like ants he would screech out a loud and powerful – almost daring – chirp to announce his presence. Shiwa came out of her ball nervously, alongside a timid furry brown rabbit with a bulls-eye marking on his stomach. While Shiwa tucked herself between Zaiden’s feet, Baunsu clung nervously to the back of Zaiden’s legs.
Hageshii called out loudly, and dive-bombed out of the air down dangerously towards the reddish-pink worm that curled up underneath his master’s feet. The shiny golden-feathered avian’s talons stretched out from his body, ready to scoop the small caterpillar up within their pointy grasp. “Come to poppa!” The Spearow chirped underneath his breath. Zaiden stopped him. The beige lady stretched his arms out wide and shooed his flying feathered friend away. “Shiwa is our friend. Not your meal. You got that?” Zaiden warned him, as he pointed down to the small – and now helplessly terrified – bug Pokemon that was curled up between his feet.
Baunsu squealed and squeaked nervously, muttering distressing noises behind Zaiden’s back. “Ohh...no. Nooo nooo nooo. We’re dead. We’re dead. We’re all dead. We’re gunna die. I knew that bird was bloodthirsty. We’re sooo dead...” Zaiden placed a hand calmly on the anxious furry Sentret and began to soothingly stroke the normal type Pokemon between the ears. He tried to quell Baunsu’s nervousness and fears, as he began to softly and gently pet the Pokemon. “My trainer had to collect all the crazies, and we’re gunna die...”
The Spearow, hurt by his trainer’s reactions, flew over to a large oak tree and landed on one of the branches. He began to preen himself out of his frustration and anger. How dare his trainer interrupt his next meal?! Why would he want such a weak and pathetic – yet oh so tasty – bug as a Pokemon companion anyways?! Kogasu hopped in front of Shiwa defensively and outstretched her arms protectively. “Don’t you DARE lay a claw on this Wurmple!” She hissed, flames seeming to tickle the inside of her lips. “We may be a team, but I won’t hesitate to stop you!” Hageshii huffed, heated. "I wasn't gunna hurt her! Only..taste her a little..."
The white Seel clapped his flippers excitedly. Everyone seemed like they were having so much fun to the young and newly hatched Pokemon. He wanted to play as well. Just then, Zaiden’s phone began to ring in his Pocket. He fished the black cellular device out of it and answered the phone call. “Uhh...hello? Hey, momma!” His mother called him. She spoke about a new Pokemon excitedly on the phone, letting him know that it would arrive to him soon. Just then, a large Pidgeot landed close to Zaiden and dropped a small package on the ground. “So...this package the Pidgeot has….hmm, ok. Thanks!”
Zaiden pulled out a spare bird Pokemon treat from his bag and gave it to the large avian in exchange for the bag. It was a small gift bag, with a small brown box inside. "So, you've been managing the store?...No, I love the new gift, thanks." As Zaiden opened it up, he revealed a red-and-white Pokeball sitting on some soft stuffing to keep it nestled and safe within the box. He clicked on the Pokeball and tossed it to reveal a glowing white Shuppet with a note that described this intriguing Pokemon in more The Pokemon snickered and giggled. It would float over to Hageshii and try to push the golden bird out of it’s nested spot in the tree. I’ll call you Gen’ie. He thought.
After he managed to corral all of his Pokemon, Zaiden would slowly lead them into the city. Kogasu carried Shiwa in her arms, being extra careful not to let her flames get too close to the small bug Pokemon. Hageshii stayed a distance behind his team, sulking, as he flew in the sky behind him. Gen’ie – the newest addition to the band – seemed to pop up randomly around the group. Since Baunsu was so easy to spook, the Shuppet would appear just behind or just in front of the Sentret to give it quite a scare. “Guys, please. Work with me.”
Zaiden sighed, as he carried the baby Seel in his arms. He thought about the conversation he had with his mother. “How’s dad?” They were doing a little better, but they were still barely making ends meet as it were. Why did they just have this strange ghostly Pokemon sent to him? “Oh, so the store’s gotten more sales?….But, you are still trying to keep it alive?...Momma...” He frowned, trying to focus on the happier parts of the conversation. “Yeah, a Charmander – just like dad’s starter!” Now, they just needed to find a good place to rest.

The skyline got more and more blurry as Zaiden and his pokemon trekked closer, the air turned humid as they walked into the fog that was covering the city. It took some time and Zaiden's pokemon had plenty of time to look around, get bored, scared and get to know each other in both the good and bad ways. As they entered the city the top of the highest buildings disappeared in the dense fog, but they could still easily see their surroundings and read the signs. And they could clearly see the little pond in between some trees, where a round blue pokemon with a big bubble on its tail looked to be talking with a couple of red fish, magikarps if Zaiden knew them. Angry screeches were heard above as a couple of furious spearows chased a swift taillow away, they returned to their tree as soon as they were sure the other bird wasn't coming back. "HEY! STOP!" Another furious voice shouted from behind Zaiden. "HELP! Hey you, trainer! Stop them!" The male voice continued follow by the sounds of running and a "Ha! I got you!"The man were chasing several small seed like pokemon with a little sprout on top around, he had one in his hand, grabbed by the leaves and it looked more sulky than hurt. The small sunkerns jumped in all directions and had clearly made it out through the fence to his garden, and they were making a run for it! The man missed another sunkern with a few inches and he stumbled as he tried to regain his balance and focused on another. One of the small sunkerns was making its way towards Zaiden with a determined look in its usual smiling face, it wasn't going to stop for anything! A Sunkern [lvl 6] is determined to make a run for it. Fog is in effect.Shiny? si7R83At1-421-42

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion
The impending fog made things difficult to see. It would cast vague shadows that loomed out in the distance, though obscured the relevance of their proximity to the young teenager. Zaiden narrowed his eyes, trying to focus on the details of the surrounding town. Voice filled the open area – hooves trampled across the open roads, along with feet and other sounds of people living their bustling lives. Gen’ie giggled and snickered, lifting the trembling brown rabbit into the air. Baunsu struggled, squeaking out desperately while it tried to get out of the other Pokemon’s reach.
Hageshii screeched out in warning, before soaring up high and diving at Gen’ie. He missed, as the ghostly phantom would easily float out of the way, letting the fog and the dreary shadows of the city help to cloak him. Gen’ie would place Baunsu up on a roof top. The bulls-eye rabbit crawled to the edge and peered over the top of the tower. Where was the ground?! Through the thick fog, the normal type Pokemon couldn’t even estimate how far up he was in the air! Everything looked too far out of reach and out of sight. It cried out, begging for help, although Gen’ie would only laugh and giggle at his team member’s troubles. Hageshii’s wing nipped through Gen’ie as he dived again, just missing the phantom and seeming to sink through the ectoplasmic body of the strange ghost type. “Put our partner back on the ground!” He chirped out a loud warning.
Kagosu growled and and roared out angrily, trying to figure out where the others had gone off too. Carrying Shiwa in her arms, she wondered away from Zaiden and traveled down into an alleyway. “Guys!” She called out, exasperated. Why were they picking NOW of all times to goof off and mess around?! “We need to stick together!” Strange bodies pushed past her in the dense fog – most of them seeming human, with a few Pokemon that were hard to place. She waved her tail to her side and out just in front of her, using it as a sort of light as she searched cluelessly in the fog.
”Help! Hey you, trainer! Stop them!” Zaiden’s footsteps came to an abrupt stop. He seemed to slam on brakes so fast that he almost dropped Seel. The white furred pinniped out of his arms. What on earth is going on?! Zaiden had to wonder, as she scrambled to regain his grip on the other Pokemon. He searched around, but only saw small, almost egg shaped shadows with a single stem sticking out from the top in a shadowy form. The shadowy bodies of humans darting about were barely made out, until a few were close enough for Zaiden to make out the details of a few townsfolk.
As one yellow-and-brown striped seed bounced along in a trajectory path for Zaiden, he would place the Seel down and give his Pokemon a gentle push. He wasn’t some kind of hero that this town and its people seemed to call on him to become. But, if nothing else, Zaiden could at least try and help them with their trouble. The water type Seel seemed almost too eager to hop into the battle. Uroko seemed to gallop-waddle on his front flippers in a direct path with the Sunkern. With his head positioned so that the horn would jut out from the top of his skull and point at the seedling, Seel aimed to crash his head into the other Pokemon, headbutting it. “Uhh...” Zaiden called out, his voice puzzled and wavering. “W-what hap-ppened?”
OOC: Uroko used Headbutt.

The Sunkern running as fast as it could, approached Zaiden and Uroko quickly. It's determination and bravery only grew, as it spotted the pitiful Seel that was put in front to stop it. It's lips quirked into a smile and it started to drain Uroko of energy before he even got close. The baby Seel might be bigger than Sunkern, but Sunkern faced bigger Pokemon all the time being so small itself. It recognised a kid when it saw one. By the time Uroko reached the Sunkern his entire body was shaking from the drain, and his headbutt turned into nothing more than a slight push the Sunkern easily brushed off. The Sunkern wiggled and jumped out of his reach, eyeing the new human just to check for other threats, and then glancing back to try and see how well the chaser was keeping up. The man who had called out was still struggling to keep hold of the Sunkerns he had managed to grab, and he was lying halfway down, struggling to get up as both his arms were in use to hold three Sunkerns at once. "Good lad!" He called to Zaiden. "Just keep it there. I'll come and get it when I've got a hand free. Just a moment..." the sound of shuffling and indiscernible words followed, then some choice curses erupted as the man flailed and dropped two of his captives, who immediately set to running again, taking two separate ways. "Ah, I'm never getting them back to the garden this way." The man, now having one arm free, scratched his head, and then changed his grip on the remaining Sunkern still in his hand. "What was that?" He turned to Zaiden to get clarification on what Zaiden had asked, and then explained. "Oh, these fine little buds just showed up in my garden, and I tried to make them feel welcome. They make such a pretty flower bed. But they won't stay put now, and I'm afraid they'll get hurt out here with all the birds flying about."Wild Encounter Weather: Fog (-10% acc) [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] [attr="class","qkt-clip"]Wild Sunkern LV 6 HP 90% [19/21] [attr="class","qkt-wild-imgbox"] [attr="class","qkt-pkmn-img"] [attr="class","qkt-trainer-pkmn"] [attr="class","qkt-clip"]Uroko LV 2 HP 26% [4/15] [attr="class","qkt-trainer-imgbox"] [attr="class","qkt-pkmn-img"] Wild Sunkern [Ability]: Status (spd 10) Uroko [Hydration]: Status (spd 7) Sunkern used Absorb. ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion
Baunsu shivered and shook. The small brown rabbit stared over the edge of the tall building and gulped. Just how far up was he? The rotund Pokemon’s ear stood on their ends as his small dark eyes searched through the bleak, foggy air for any signs of life or the ground below. They could be thousands of feet above the land below – so far gone, that the Sentret wouldn’t have a prayer of a chance surviving if he tried to jump over the edge. “Ple-ple-ple...hel-..l-lp….sto-sto-...” Although the jest was understandable, most of the syllables and words were completely indecipherable.
Hageshii spiraled in loops on the air current. The golden feathered bird flapped his powerful wings to lift him up, and turned swiftly with each new direction. The shiny Spearow would pause momentarily to check the surroundings – scope out for Baunsu’s form and the glowing ectoplasm wanna-be jokester, before settling on his target. “You’re a little slow my friend,” Gen’ie egged him on. As the golden bird soared hurriedly towards the floating Shuppet, Gen’ie would simply fade away entirely, and reappear just spaces away from the hotheaded Spearow. “Perhaps, you shouldn’t give orders so easily.” The ghostly Pokemon mocked.
Kogasu shot out a flaming ball of ember straight up into the air. It was a cry and a reaction from her frustration and anger. “GUYS! Stop playing around! I mean, really?! C’mon! She hissed, a loud and angry sound from her lips. The flame-tailed orange lizard only strengthened her grip on the reddish-pink caterpillar as she searched helplessly through the dark, foggy alleyway. “You’re giving our trainer a BAD NAME! If I have to climb a building, SO HELP ME ARCEUS, someone is going to pay!” She swore, seeming to direct it at anyone and everyone altogether. She was tired. Exhausted. And their little game of “Keep Away” was getting old and annoying fast.
Meanwhile, the Seel prepared for the battle. In the young baby’s head, this was an elaborate game of sorts. The furry white Pokemon assumed that the yellow and brown seed was playing a game similar to the one that the brown bird, that he had recently met before, had played. When the Sunkern attacked, using a strange and super effective move to drain the Seel’s life energy from him, Uroko squealed out loud painfully. “Hurt!” The baby Pokemon spoke up, relaying the sensation he was feeling. Zaiden placed two fingers together to his lips and whistled.
Shiwa shuddered a little within Kogasu’s arms. “You’re really, really angry….” She spoke in a small, hushed squeak. It was more of a commentary she meant to keep to herself. Still, as the Charmander glanced down and saw how fearful her friend had become, she began to feel bad. “They’re just….” She paused, then redirected her statement. “I didn’t mean to scare you, I’m sorry.” Shiwa started to bounce up and down as she heard her trainer whistling for them. She struggled, wriggling back and forth until she finally broke free from Kogasu’s grip. Both of them turned around and started to run back towards the battlefield.
Hageshii was the first to arrive on the scene. As soon at the golden Spearow heard the summoning sound of Zaiden’s loud whistling, he zipped down on the wind currents through the foggy atmosphere and landed by Zaiden’s feet. The young beige lad lifted a solitary finger up to point to Hageshii before pointing to the Seedling. “I think I’ve got this one.” He walked over and scooped up Uroko. Hageshii flew over and landed in front of his opponent to fill in Uroko's spot. “Hurt. Ouch.” The Seel whimpered and cried. With a free hand, he fished out the Pokedex and pointed it at the Sunkern. "Sunkern, the Seed Pokemon. It lives by drinking only dewdrops from under the leaves of plants. It is said that it eats nothing else."
Zaiden turned to the gentleman as the gardener tried to corral the other Sunkern. An idea seemed to light up in his head, as his Pokemon tag-teamed each other to switch places in the battle. "Is there enough moisture on the plants in your garden for them?" Zaiden curiously asked, trying to troubleshoot the gardener's problem. The golden feathered sparrow raised itself up into the air and over to his opponent.
“Uhh...Hageshii?...Guys?” Baunsu called out, worried and confused. Gen’ie appeared beside him and laughed. “I guess you’re not so important right now.” The ghostly white apparition mocked his team mate and laughed.
OOC: Switching Uroko out and switching Hageshii in.

The sunkern started at Zaiden's sudden whistle and looked at him confused, then a shadow fell over it and it began to shake its leaves vigorously wanting to chase off any spearows. It didn't work as Hageshii dumped down in front of it a moment later, it gasped and grew several sizes. For a few heartbeats they were staring intently at each other but as the bird didn't make any move towards it, the sunkern turned a bit and began to try hop past. "Huh? Oh! That's great! Thanks!" The man called back to Zaiden and then decided to return to his garden with the single one he had gotten his hands on. He closed the fence from the outside and put down the sunkern on the inside before he returned to try catch some of the others escapees. He leaped after another one and missed, these sunkerns were surprisingly agile for being small seeds, which usually tried to save as much of their energy as possible. The man brushed off his trousers while muttering under his breath, when he paused when Zaiden asked a question. He straightened up and gave Zaiden a shrug. "I assume so, all the plants grows well enough and they are wild, don't they know how to get what they need themselves?" He asked and then jumped forward and managed to snatch another one. He grinned as it wiggled furiously in his hand and then ran after another with the first swinging in his hand. Zaiden's whistling had also gotten the attention of some other pokemon, out of the fog a pair of spearows came lazily flying and they landed on the roof top near Baunsu and eyed him curiously. The closet one tilted its head and took a few steps forward. "How have you gotten up here?" It asked while eyeing Baunsu's thin arms which clearly couldn't have carried him through the air up here. ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion
The young teenager ruffled the medium length tufts of his warm brown hair as he scratched the top of his head. Zaiden shifted his gaze from the gentleman over to the Sunkern and back. This impromptu gardener reassured the young lad that his plants were thriving behind the fence-work. Questions fired off behind the scenes. He silently tried to troubleshoot the situation as he ran through a short list of possible scenarios. Do Sunkern have a difficult problem reaching the leaves of his plants to drink the water? Are they fighting with the plants for the dewdrops in the morning? Do they feel ‘out in the open’ and threatened by the natural predators of the city?
Hageshii’s eyes narrowed warily on its counterpart. The yellow seedling with sharp dark brown stripes nearly doubled in size and seemed to try and build a striking and rather imposing figure. The golden feathered avian huffed quickly, shooting a short puff of air out of the nares of his beak. This plant type Pokemon aimed to play hardball – a game that the hotheaded shiny Spearow knew all too well. “You think you can win this?” A sharp shrill caw escaped the Spearow’s lips, taunting the Sunkern daringly. Hageshii lifted himself up on the foggy windy air and flew over to the Sunkern to peck at the seedling relentlessly.
Baunsu rolled over and pulled his tail in between his legs. The furry brown rodent stared at the two birds with a wide-eyed expression. Fear froze the normal type in his spot. Baunsu couldn’t bring himself to lift himself back onto his feet, as he watched the two wild avians question him quizzically about his predicament. “The mean ghost put me up here!” The ghostly apparition swayed tauntingly above the rotund brown and cream rabbit. The ghostly Shuppet stuck his tongue out at the other Pokemon, giving a playfully mean face to his partner. “He’s up here because of me!” He laughed and teased his friend. “I’m jus’ havin’ a bit of fun with my team-mate.”
Baunsu pulled his paw off his face to stare up at the ghostly Shuppet. Fun? This was not the Sentret’s idea of fun at all! Where did this mean little ghost, with the large round head and a pointed horn on his head even get the idea that this would be fun?! “This isn’t fun! I can’t get down. Oohh, I’m stuck. I don’t wanna fall!” Baunsu wailed softly, a small sort of cry escaping his lips.
Shiwa skidded up next to Zaiden along with Kogasu. They both watched as Hageshii battled the Sunkern. “Looks like we’re a little late.” Shiwa spoke with a sigh of relief. The reddish-pink caterpillar really didn’t want to get involved in the middle of the fight. She would if she HAD to, but thankfully Hageshii was already working on defeating their opponent. Kogasu nodded, the flames flickering silently at the end of her tail. “Yeah, I’d say the bird’s got this one for us.” Although, she hadn’t fully forgiven the Spearow for trying to devour Shiwa earlier…
“My best guess is that they can’t reach their food source. They only eat dewdrops.” Zaiden informed the other man with a shrug of his shoulders. “That…or there are no safe hiding spaces from their predators…” He added, letting his voice trail a bit as if he were still in deep thought.
OOC: Hageshii uses Peck.

The sunkern glared at the spearow snickered and rolled its eyes at the question. "I don't know what you are talking about, I'm not in any competition with you," the little bulb scoffed, "I'm just trying to find a proper place to set root and if you move out of the way so I can get going, it would be nice?" The sunkern added and looked after Hageshii as he disappeared up into the fog. It waited a moment but then decided that he really had decided to let it pass and it began to continue its hopping away. It didn't get far as Hageshii dived and sent it face first into the dirt. "Aaargh Traitor! Lier! Scum!" It screamed shocked and Hageshii felt a bit of his strength disappear but it was so little he barely noticed. The screaming from the little sunkern got the others to jump startled and they scattered in all directions. "No! Darnit!" The man shouted and barely missed the one he was reaching for, and stumbled to his knees. He looked defeated after the sunkern that disappeared into the fog while holding on to the one in his hand so tight, his knuckles turned white. It wriggled uncomfortably under his grip. "You could have become such pretty flowerbed," he said disappointed and looked at the sunkern in his hand, and took it gently in both hands. "What does it matter now? Three doesn't really make a flower field," the man said quietly and the sunkern in his hands looks confused at him but stayed calm. The two spearows looked shocked when Gen'ie become visible in the white fog, which had hidden him completely for the two otherwise sharp eyed birds. They looked warily at the ghost, he did really sound like a meanie. The two spearow exchanged looks and the one in front tilted its head at the shuppet. "Why?" It asked while the other turned one eye to look down towards the ground which couldn't be seen through the fog, there was a long way down. ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion
The question posed by the two feathered acquaintances caused the glowing ghostly apparition to pause in thought. The Shuppet’s mind seemed to whir and spin, churning possibly thousands of responses out per second, though choosing none of them as the suitable sort. For what possible conceivable notion could Gen’ie have in pursuing such a daring sport? How did such a wondrous game of cat and mouse bemuse the glowing ghostly wonder, when it seemed only to spook and scare the timid furry rabbit? No, there was no real response – only course bits of chuckle that fell off of the tongue in off, broken patterns.
“Doncha….spook?” Gen’ie asked the two feathered birds as he floated up. He nodded towards Baunsu at first, then seemed to spin about in the air as if to gesture to the world at large. So many creatures seemed to jump at things that bumped in the midst nightfall underneath the pale moon’s silent glow – err, well day, in this case. With the cover of the slowly retreating fog obscuring the depth of the ground from the rooftop, it only heightened Baunsu’s sense of fear. A second glance, and understanding crossed Gen’ie’s mind, but was dashed away with more chuckles. “He just needs thicker skin!”
Baunsu slowly raised himself up onto his hind legs and pointed a daring finger at his companion. The smoky tendrils of the foggy air wisped themselves around the bullseye rabbit, cloaking him and illuminating only parts of the rotund creature. How did Gen’ie not understand that this wasn’t funny – or cute – or right?! Something was seriously wrong with the ethereal Pokemon. Someone ought to set the ghost type straight, and Baunsu half wished that he was brave enough to do just that! “It isn’t funny!” He roared, his voice loud and clear about just how he felt about this sort of treatment. “You need to learn to have respect for other’s feelings, Gen’ie!” Baunsu gave a sharp snap, similar to a harsh command, to the Shuppet.
Meanwhile, the battle raged on. Hageshii shook his feathers, tucking his head underneath to preen through them as if to shake away the feeling. Something chilled him to his core – a draining sort of feeling that made him feel a bit more tired, as though his energy had been sucked right out of him. It didn’t damage the Spearow too badly, though, and with a few quick flaps of his wings to shake himself, he was ready for the next round. “I’m afraid I’m not allowed to let you leave this battle.” Although, Zaiden reacted faster than his avian companion. Before Hageshii had the chance to ready the next attack, a flash of red and white soared past the feathered bird. With a flash of red light and a soft ding, a Pokeball was thrown at the Sunkern.
Zaiden turned to Kogasu and Shiwa for a short instance. Pulling out Shiwa’s Pokeball, he would summon the young caterpillar back into her containment. Go find Baunsu and Gen’ie. Zaiden’s eyes danced off of Kogasu and he shrugged his head suggestively towards the alleyways behind them. Where had the rest of his team disappeared to in such a short amount of time? A high, shrill whistling sound was released to summon them once more, though the boy’s faith that they would listen was quickly diminishing. Kogasu nodded, before running off – a fading splotch of orange and flames down the street. “Try building shelter or a nice hiding spot, at the very least,” Zaiden pointed up to the sky above them. “Birds are liable to scare them away.” What else could help? Was any of his advice actually useful? Zaiden rarely pried, but felt somewhat responsible in helping the man out.
OOC: Zaiden uses a Pokeball to try and capture Sunkern. Note: Also, I would like to apply my multiplier to Uroko after the battle.

The two spearows exchanged glances when Gen'ie didn't seem to know the answer to the question. "Don't he knows?" One of them whispered to the other, who shrugged. "Perhaps, or maybe he just tries to phrase it so it doesn't sound so bad," the other one answered quietly and they both watched and waited for the ghost to answer them. The one in the back opened its mouth to answer Gen'ie but the one in front raised a wing to stop it, send it a warning look and glanced at Baunsu before formulating an answer. "Enemies yes, the ones we need to chase away from our nest. Are you trying to chase this away from your flock? Is that you goal? To get rid of a rival?" The spearow asked and found the explanation realistic. Spearows themselves often had to fight over territories and for mates, it made sense to them if Gen'ie tried to Baunsu to leave for whatever reason. Gen'ie's next comment threw the front spearow off. "Thicker skin? Are you trying to train him by scaring him? How is that working?" The spearow asked confused. Both spearows blinked surprised when Baunsu suddenly found the courage to draw a line and say stop to the ghost, they watched eagerly to see what would happen next. It was hard to tell if it had been the fog interfering, if Zaiden had just been distracted or not so good at throwing pokeballs as he thought, or the sunkern was just really agile and quick on its not-existing feet. All in all the end result was the same: The pokeball sailed through the air and hit the ground a bit behind the sunkern, who had thrown itself forward to avoid the sphere. The pokeball rolled into the fog and disappeared, it would take some serious searching to find it again. "Your distraction wont work!" The sunkern screamed at Hageshii as it hopped on, "I'm on to you now!"It tried to take some more of his energy but it was too frazzled to concentrate properly and Hageshii only felt a slight tingling without the feeling of loss like the last time. The sunkern dropped it and continued to try run off while doing its best to keep an eye on Hageshii to avoid what other dirty tricks he'd throw at it. The man look thoughtful for a moment and then sighed. "It wont look nice with such monstrocity on top! And all the other flowers would be deprived of both sunlight and rain, no that wont work," he said sadly with a shake of his head. He got to his feet and smiled disappointed to Zaiden, putting the sunkern under his arm. It wiggled a bit but then accepted its current situation. "Thanks for your help and suggestion, even though it didn't do much difference, I'll see what I can do with the few I have left or if I give up and let them go," the man said and began to trot back to his garden. ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion
The tawny beige lad watched the Pokeball soar silently through the air. Calculations weren’t his reliability to catch the Pokemon, though. Most of his fieldwork relied on eyeball measurements and guesswork. It was no surprise how the red-and-white spherical device would spin through the air off its predicted trajectory. In fact, it managed to hit the side of the building, bounced off the concrete, and rolled down the street until you rolled off of the scene and out of sight. What a loss!
The young boy reached his hand into his plain brown backpack and shuffled around through the different pockets and zippers as he hunted for an item. The tips of his fingers caressed the top of another Pokeball, softly touching the cold top of the metallic spherical capturing device. Should I use another one? The question lingered like dead weight in the midst of his mind. What if he tossed it just to lose yet another ball? Zaiden pulled his hand back out of his bag and shook his head with determination. No. It wasn’t going to be another absolute waste!
The lithe boy pulled his hand back out of his bag empty-handed. He snapped his fingers and pointed at the small yellow seedling with dark brown stripes and two leaves protruding from the top of its head. The golden feathered avian flapped its wings in determination and chirped out a loud cry. With a quick lift of its wings, Spearow would become airborne, only to soar over and land near the Sunkern. SCREECH! CAW! Hageshii would slash and gash at his opponent, bobbing his head repeatedly as he pecked away at his enemy. “Then give me your best shot, little plant!” The sparrow cawed loudly through his assaults.
Meanwhile, the flame-tail crawled to a halt near a building and glanced all the way up towards its rooftop. Thick flaming embers of red and orange shot out and flew past the glowing white apparition, missing it in warning. Gen’ie looped-de-looped in large circular motions to turn around and stare down at the bipedal orange flame-tail lizard and it’s small and meek, reddish-pink caterpillar friend. “What do you wa-“ The Shuppet was immediately interrupted through Kogasu’s loud and imposing – rather threatening – voice. Baunsu answered the Spearows with a short huff of his flared nostrils. "He isn't trying to teach anyone anything. He's just mean."
“LISTEN HERE, Ya little ugly bobblehead spirit!” Idle threats and insults slung out of the Charmander’s mouth before she had the time to think about them. Baunsu sat near the edge, possibly dangling dangerously too close to falling over. The flame-tail lizard wouldn’t allow this white ghost to spook and scare her friends to their literal death. “Think with what little brain you still have left! See Baunsu shaking – he won’t survive a fall like this. BRING HIM DOWN, NOW!”
Baunsu watched Kogasu speak up for him, mesmerized that the other team members really did seem to care about him. However, Gen’ie abandoned him and floated over to Kogasu, avoiding her shots of fire with quick grace. He giggled and laughed, trying to stifle his am amusement but failing horribly at it. “Why can I have a bit of fun with our tea-“ Kogasu interrupted again, with another hot shot of burning embers. “BECAUSE I SAID SO. Go fetch him. NOW! Bring him here. Alive. IN ONE PIECE!”
With quick and careful consideration, Gen’ie floated back up and grabbed Baunsu, before floating down and placing him on the ground by Kogasu. The small orange lizard glared at Gen’ie and used one claw to point from the ghost type to the normal type Pokemon. “Good.” She nodded and added, “Now, apologize.”
OOC: Hageshii uses Peck on Sunkern. Note: Also, I would like to apply my multiplier to Uroko after the battle.

Eyes widened, the Sunkern made one final push towards the evanescing sides of the road with no time to respond to the talons pointed at its face, if it was even possible. Sunkern shook and shook its leaf in Hageshii's face and bawled as the bird drilled into the striped coat. That was all it had, really. Much of the butchery was hidden to young Zaiden's discretion by the fog. This side of the Tohjo Islands, winters were a toss-up between dreadful conditions or mediocrity. Pokemon hibernated in routes and the people, even worse, thundered through the cities flinging Pokeballs at anything with feathers. This was the warmest February since last year, still marred with fog. Any learned migrator knew the seasons ebbed and changed; you couldn't blame the wintertime, just the creatures living in it. You learned to savor the distractions when they came. Admittedly, to these spearow, this was a mighty big distraction, bordering interference: a bunch of foreign Pokemon with their noses under their nests, bickering with each other. Their questions fell mostly dead; the one titled its head to Baunsu's answer, as if hearing an inside joke. It had stopped mattering a minute ago, anyway, and the birds took to the entertainment in bigger numbers. A few came from the rafters and came to ogle, perched on building roofs. Others flapped in from the fog. Flame-spit and smoke held the instinctual feeling of danger. A slight chain reaction, the spearow bobbing up and down. They gossiped among themselves: They gonna fight? They gonna fight? And then, almost as suddenly as the crowd had amassed, they were gone. In a storm of wing-beats, and a few loose feathers drifting down the alley, it narrowed down to two, plus one very, very cross one. The alpha announced herself with vigor, and she was certainly the alpha. Her most defining feature: the scar dragging from her right eye to the side of her beak. She skid immediately to the ground. The two others exchanged looks then dropped down beside her. This a fight? Spearow asked, a few feet away from Kogasu, resistant; not decisive, but feathers fluffed to make herself even bigger. Her backup asked, We break 'em up? And they were shot down, the alpha getting in their face. You HUNT! You supposed to HUNT! Instead, distracted. With a dramatic sigh, she left the two to dawdle nervously behind her, pecking at their feet. You trainer's? You battle? The alpha Spearow's terse, but she may be ready to engage...

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion
Zaiden’s eyed widened with enthusiasm and excitement. Without wasting another second, he fished out another Pokeball and held it gingerly on the tips of his fingers in his hand. He eyeballed the distance, not wanting to lose another Pokeball the way he’d previously lost the first in his attempt to catch the small seedling After only a few moments to gather his coordination and his thoughts, the tawny beige teenager tossed the red-and-white device to capture the Sunkern for his team. Please catch! He silently begged, as he watched it spiral through the air towards the yellow seedling.
Hageshii flapped his wings as if to test the air. Within seconds, he was airborne and he soared over to Zaiden’s side. With the battle over, the shiny golden avian began preening through his feathers, running his beak through his wings to pick and prod. The rest did not concern him. It was up to Zaiden whether he caught another Pokemon to add to their collection or not. An army of mismatched souls. The Spearow thought with a coarse, short laugh.
The flame-tail lizard eyed the large Spearow with a scar coursing down the side of her face warily. She seemed much larger and more imposing than the others. Would she care or understand that Kogasu was simply trying to keep her team members in line? Or, perhaps this one could teach their mischievous ghostly apparition a thing or two? No. “I’m not fighting, I’m straightening things out.” The orange scaly Pokemon snapped and pointed from the timid furry rabbit to the mean-spirited floating ghost. “We’re all apart of the same team, but this one,” One clawed finger held accusingly at Gen’ie, “doesn’t seem to understand that. I’m sure you’ve dealt with your fair share of-?!”
Shiwa rushed forward, bobbing her head up and down as she scurried on her buggy legs. She would come crashing in between the alpha avian and Kogasu, trying to stand warningly and imposingly in between them both. She couldn’t risk one of her closest friends getting hurt by this scary feathered monstrosity and it’s spooky scarred up body. “Stay back, danger bird!” The reddish-pink caterpillar warned in a shrill, high pitched voice. “I’m warning you – for your own good!” She shot out a thick gooey buggy string at the Spearow, hoping to slow it down and possibly immobilize it. Gen’ie started laughing uncontrollably as he noticed this fearless scaredy-cat jump into the fray. “Oh boy, you’ve done it now!” He cackled in Shiwa’s direction.
OOC: Shiwa used String Shot at the Alpha Spearow. Zaiden used a Pokeball and is attempting to capture the fainted Sunkern.

The Sunkern lay wilted somewhere in that mist. Zaiden would know: his throw struck home this time, decided by a red flash and a soft, deciding click. New Catch
Congrats! Zaiden caught a Sunkern! Would you like to replace a current member, or send Sunkern to the PC?
The alpha lent Kogasu her attention, and followed the Charmander's movements with wandering, albeit narrowed eyes -- leader for a reason. Marked by her two 'hands' -- moreso 'wings' -- that attempted to subtly sidle up to her, mimic her character with puffed-out chests. However rational the alpha was, there was a sense of calculation to it, the Spearow clearly repressing a more irrational instinct. She may have stayed passive, or not. Either way, she reacted to Shiwa's intrusion by leaping back and throwing a high-frequency cry into the air. Silk-spit riveted down her feathers. Her wings agape at her sides, the Spearow danced back two, three more paces, shaking and failing to free herself. That did it, and it was almost revealing. Spearow confessed in a mutter: Didn't like tone anyway. She hailed her 'wings.' Sic!The Spearows beat their wings to go airborne. Crawling up to the window level of some sidemost building, the first circled the party of Pokemon like remiss prey. The other dove down to almost eye-level with Kogasu, but dipped up again at the last minute. DON'T MESS AROUND! Their leader, meanwhile, livid, pried gooey strings from her feathers. It was a tedious process, and her reinforcements wouldn't listen to her if she didn't do it herself: typical. She eyed Kogasu and co. Soon, her and her reinforcements would quit posturing and give the party something to fear. On Zaiden's end, the fog would come flushing at him in a great wave of motion, dissipating just as quickly. A Pidove in flight could be seen in perfect clarity where cover had once been thickest. Just besides the Flying-type was, presumably, its trainer: a teenager with a greased hairstyle, a toothpick sticking out the side of his mouth, in gardening gear: apron, lawn gloves, the works. "Hey, kid," he called to the new Trainer -- though they could be at most a few years apart. "You really catching Pokemon in this weather? Hope you don't mind me clearing the air. You tracking the swarm like my gramps?" He was interrupted by a couple clipped meows. A Meowth had crept in from some offhand alleyway and was padding Zaiden's Pokeball back and forth between its paws. "Uh, that's not your Pokemon, is it?" A wild Meowth appeared! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion
Exasperation spent up most of Kogasu’s expression as she witnessed the small reddish-pink caterpillar sprawl into action. What followed suit caused the scaly orange flame-tail lizard to cover the ear holes on the side of her head in an instinctive need to protect her hearing. Sharp, shrill screeching that seemed to course its way into your veins, almost like a low caw but with a guttural growl. “Shiwa, we could have handled this.” She commented. Kogasu pointed to Baunsu and nodded to the edge of the field. “Please allow Baunsu to trade places with you.”
Gen’ie rotated in the air giggling as he watched the battle begin. “Not the best at this kid, are you?” He teased and taunted Shiwa. The larval bug scooted and scurried off of the battlefield, crawling over to the furry brown rabbit. It gurgled up cute, soft coos as it spoke just shy of earshot to Baunsu. Baunsu nodded, and in an instance he came bounding into the middle of the fray taking up Shiwa’s side. “You’re going to need to pay attention. Your jokes could ruin the fight.” Baunsu stated to Gen’ie, obviously still salty about the episode that happened between them earlier.
Kogasu nodded, strategizing the team. “We’ll each aim for our corresponding bird. Gen’ie-!” Too late, the ghostly white apparition had already darted off towards the large and imposing Alpha. “Ain’t got no contraband, do ya?!” It cackled as loudly as it possibly could. The shuppet spun it’s whole body in a three hundred sixty degree rotation, slapping itself against the opponent to try and knock loose anything that the Spearow may have been clutching onto. “I’mma need to check what ya got!”
Frustration and irritation coursed its way through Kogasu’s visible form. Fire licked at the inside of her lips, burning inside of her mouth as if she were holding the sun itself back from shining upon the world. Within an instance, the flame-tailed lizard released her puff of flaming embers and shot it at the smaller brown feathered avian to the left of the Alpha bird. That’s NOT sticking to the opponent in front of you! Does he listen to anything?! “Gen’ie, we need to stick to A PLAN!” She cursed at the ghostly Shuppet. “But my plans are more fun!” Was his retort.
Zaiden’s eyes widened as he watched the normal creamy furred cat crawl out of the alleyway and snatch up his Pokeball. The red-and-white spherical device seemed to bounce haphazardly between the Meowth’s paws. This wild Scratch Cat Pokemon was simply toying and playing with his Pokeball as if it were any other random cat toy or ball to play with! “Meowth, no. That’s not a toy!” Zaiden called out to the Pokemon. He pulled his bag around in front of him and started rummaging through the items that he had stored inside. Crap, crap, crap! Zaiden’s words echoed inside of his head. I don’t have any Pokemon toys!
Who carried random toys?! Apparently, he needed to! “I offered an older gardener help with the Sunkern. Probably wasn’t much help.” He commented. Hands tossed random odds and ends about inside of the bag. The sounds of soft thunks could be heard repeatedly, as he hopelessly searched for something he most likely had no possession of. “I took the chance to catch myself one. Would you happen to have a good distraction item for this Meowth? That’s my Pokemon.” He asked to the younger gardener. An unspoken please rang through his words, lost yet so hopeful.
OOC: Gen'ie used Knock Off on Alpha Spearow. Kogasu used Ember on the left Spearow/Spearow in front. Shiwa switched out, and Baunsu switched in.
