Find that even with your journey threads, daycare, and the odd escapade that you still have too many pokémon to spread around the level gain? Wish there was some benefit to all those ads you place that don't get any recruits? Well, this device may be just the thing for you!

Register your idle partners for a Pokéwalker!
Assign 1 of your pokémon to accompany you as you traverse the vast realm of forums and turn each ad you place into EXP.



How it Works

1. Start a thread in this board and setup your Pokéwalker code (found below). This is shared between all of your characters.
   
   
2. Pick one of your pokémon (could be from a PC) and assign them to the walker. You can change this pokémon at any time but your tally will reset with the new walker occupant. Make a new post when you switch pokemon so we have a timestamp trail.
   
   
3. Get advertising! Keep a tally of your ads as replies in your thread. How you organize is up to you, just keep it easy for mods to check your claims.
   
   
4. When you need XP or Levels updated post your request* in the Pkmn/Item Transfer Updates thread. Pokémon gaining XP in this way can still be actively used in threads/battles, however, if they are in battle when the ad threshold is met the battle must be concluded first.**
   
   *If possible, wait until you have a significant change so we're not updating 30xp at a time; min ~5 ads
   **If you had 25 ads ready but then the battle puts the pkmn into the LV 15+ bracket you must then get 40 total ads to get the +1 LV
   

Rules

1. Do not advertise on sites rated above PG13; it is against the PB ToS. When comparing to the RPG rating system, avoid any with a 3 in it.
   
   
2. If you are linking back (LB) to a First Timer on ZZ it counts for your Pokéwalker regardless of any other posting rules; so long as no one else has already LBd to it specifically (Make a post on the First Timer thread)
   
   
3. Avoid over saturating a site. Look through their FL &/or the LB/Accepted boards to make sure that someone hasn't placed a recent ZZ advertisement. Recent is defined by:
   

   ◓ Within 3 months
   ◓ Positioned in pages 1-3, if the site is largely active
   ◓ Positioned on page 1, if the site is dead
   

   If you do it won't count for your Pokéwalker. This can be waived if the site has their own ad rules that allows more frequent bumping/re-posting, or if they LB here, or indicates 'acceptance' of your ad by moving it into an Accepted board or locking it.
   
   
4. If you have an old ad there and are allowed by their rules, bump it. You can bump once a month (or as per the site's rules if they have any). You can bump other member's ads, but only if they are over a year old. Any recruits that come from this ad would count as your own as well.
   

*Note that we reserve the right to adjust any rules/mechanics as needed in the future



XP Breakdown
Depending on the level of your pokémon changes how much XP your pokémon will gain per ad placed.

LVs 1 - 14		25 Ads +1 LV
LVs 15 - 24		40 Ads +1 LV
LVs 25+		30xp per Ad

For large sprites (Charizard, Wailord, etc) replace the 'style="margin-bottom:-21px;' with: 'style="max-width:75px;'

Just replace the image src with the sprite of your pokémon. The number directly underneath is meant to be the tally of advertisements applied to that pokémon.

Ad Checking Cheat Sheet

1. (For Mods)
   If the ad was acknowledged by the forum & seems accepted, it's good to go. Common indications:
   
   • The ad was moved to an 'accepted' board
     
   • The ad is locked
     
   • They posted a reply with 'LB', or have already LB'd in our own Ad board
     
   *The only thing that can veto this, is if the forum is an inappropriate rating.
   
   
   
2. If our ad is an LB, you only need to care about doing a quick scan for the site rating.
   
   
   
3. Do a quick check in their header, footer, and rules for any indications of their ratings. If none listed, assume fine. As long as they are 'attempting to be around PG-13' that is fine. But nothing with a #3 in the rating scale, or any [M] allowed content markings.
   
   
   
4. If the ad has no indication of being positively acknowledged & the forum rating checks out, look through their Ad listing boards for any duplicate adverts within 3 months, or within 1-3 pages. If it's on the edge, it's okay. The main purpose of this rule is to avoid annoying any forum with too frequent ads, so it's pretty lax.
   

And that's it! Don't spend too much time on any ad stressing about the rules. Ultimately we are just trying to be friendly to the other forums & make our best effort to keep things in alignment with PB ToS.
