The Leech Seed landed and drew some health from the Grubbin, and the bug-type fired off one of its own attacks in the span of time before Vitra threw a Sports Ball to attempt a catch. It was successful, and with a happy grin Vitra retrieved the capsule. She might keep it, she didn't know yet; she'd have to see what happened with the next couple encounters. She leaned down and rubbed at Midori's head, grinning again at the happy grumble from the Ivysaur. Then she straightened and headed off again, looking forward to what they'd see next.

The buzzing of wings caught Vitra's attention first, and she paused to watch the Beedrill flew past. It wasn't really paying them any attention, but all the same, the young trainer directed Midori's attention to it. "Use Take Down, Midori," she told the Ivysaur, and watched the grass-type spring to obey.

The wasp pokemon was not unfamiliar with unprovoked attacks and it was going to defend itself and its hive with ferocity! Midori's Take Down hit hard and it was a bruised and battered beedrill which retaliated with some pokes of its stingers, they were laced with poison but that wouldn't bother Midori one bit.

Caught off guard, the Beedrill was hit hard by Midori's attack, but it was quick to recover and retaliate with its stingers. Wincing, unable to stop it, the Ivysaur held firm; Vitra was glad to see her square up once it was over- hurt, but still willing to fight. "Use your Vine Whip, Midori," she called. No attempt at catching this one, but it could help Midori level up with its defeat.

The Beedrill fell to the attack and Midori gained another level from it; thrilled at her progress, Vitra was only made happier when the next pokemon to appear was a Scyther. She bounced on her toes, grinning brightly and jabbing a finger at it. "Vine Whip, Midori!" she called, hands curling into fists and breath held; she didn't want to knock this one out, so with any luck she could manage to catch it, no trouble.

Midori's attack didn't seem to do much, and Vitra decided to take a risk this time; it would hopefully pay off for her. She wanted the Scyther, but would she actually manage to catch it? One thing she wasn't going to risk was Midori fainting, and she knew how to prevent that at least. "Midori, Leech Seed, and then Vine Whip again!"[/b]

Better! Vitra was pretty sure she could manage one last attack before attempting a catch, and she pulled one of the Sports balls out to ready it. "Vine Whip one more time, Midori," she called to the Ivysaur, and watched- waiting to see the outcome of this attack before throwing the ball, but feeling certain that it would be enough to weaken the Scyther enough to allow her to catch it.
