The Scyther broke free, much to Vitra's disappointment, and suddenly she was faced with the possibility that she might lose the bug-type entirely, because another turn with the effects of Leech Seed draining its health would make it faint; she had to make another attempt though, unwilling to give up the chance to catch it. Snagging another Sports ball, she activated it and threw it at the Scyther, desperately nervous and hoping this time would be successful.

The Pokeball flew but the scyther was ready, it was no some easy to catch wurmple and it sliced the ball in two with its scythers. It then rushed forward and whacked down on Midori with its scythes but held back a bit. It was a mistake, as the leech seed pulled the rest of its energy and it collapsed on the ground.
The bell signaling the end of the competition rung.

Midori won and gains 650 exp.

(ooc: You had 35% chance here, they are really hard without giving them a status condition of some sort. But at least Scyther didn't use Wing Attack and knocked Midori out.)
