The moon glimmers behind a light haze of cloud. Various campfires crackle along the beach keeping several groups of the S.S. Zulu castaways warm under the cool starry night. Ignoring the circumstances, the Secluded Beach would have been a luxurious vacation spot with its clean sparkling beaches, beautiful palm jungle, and peaceful wilds surrounding. Nothing was threatening the survival of the S.S. Zulu guests as they made themselves comfortable in wait of rescue. Until tonight. The gentle waves lapping on the island broke as a pool began roiling further out. Something large emerged, a silky silver matted in the moon's ghostly light, and approached the shore. Once too close for its large body to be mostly masked by the dark waters it burst from the sea with a mighty siren call. Marchbaby had been relaxing by a fire on the beach when he noticed something terribly wrong. Off it the distance the ocean started to form a pool before a glistening silver Pokemon leaped out from.the waves. It filled the air with a beautiful yet terrifying siren call before speesing towards the beach at a very fast pace. " EVERYONE WAKE UP. LUGIA IS HEADING THIS WAY." Marchbaby yelled before frantically searching for a Pokeball to use against the legendary Pokemon. As he finally found Shocker's Pokeball he tossed it at the edge of the beast and got ready for the fight of his life. " For now it looks like it is up to us Shocker. We have to buy time until the others wake up and can help. Your Strudy ability should buy us a bit of time but I do not know how long we can hold out without help." As he watched the great silver bird getting closer and closer he knew once it was in range that Shocker's Thunderbolt would be a useful move to cause some damage to the legendary Pokemon. " A dragon type might stand a better chance overall but a Magnezone is far from.helpless in this situation.Use your Thunderbolt and maybe the flash will wake the others up."

Lei hadn't been unable to sleep and lay and watched the stars. She could almost fool herself and believe she was back home and out trekking in the mountains of Alola, but the moment she moved a just a little bit, her whole body would scream and complain from the bruises she had gotten from the shipwreck. Laying on the sand with only a few palm leaves beneath and above her was also really uncomfortable and they were scratchy and made a rattling sound every time the wind blew past, which was chill. She pouted, she probably wouldn't get any sleep tonight and then she'd be half dead tomorrow. She bolted upright when something shouted a warning, she was sure she had misheard about what was coming, or the other trainer simple had seen wrong. She threw the leaves aside and stood up, no matter what it was it would have to be chased away from their makeshift camp. If they didn't have a safe spot to relax they were doomed. She walked briskly to join the other trainer and smirked as she pulled a pokemon from deep within a pocket, time for her secret weapon. Her mouth fell open when she saw the legendary pokemon, which even at this distance looked magnificent. And angry. Lei snapped out of her awe and stepped up beside Marchbaby, holding the pokeball right in front of her and activating it to let out its content. A long dusty teal snake with long white "eyebrows" and no pupils appeared and turned snarling towards Lei. She watched her drampa coldly and just pointed at the lugia behind him, he looked over his shoulders and his eyes went wide. "There are kids on this beach, and lots of innocent pokemon. We better protect them, Light Screen!" She ordered and smiled triumphally when Dragomir, for once, did as ordered.

Kelsi had been keeping to herself for the most part since the shipwreck, feeling more than a little bored and wishing she had never chosen to go on the ill-fated cruise. Her Pokemon had been looking just as frustrated - even Monarch, her most laidback one, had taken to angrily string shotting the rest of the team whenever they came too close. As a result she had found herself having to spend far too long mediating between creatures that really should know better, and the matter was getting altogether too frustrating for her to deal with.
She had been dealing with one such incident that evening. Copper and Monarch had gotten into another squabble; from what Kelsi could tell, Copper, being the greedy little Skwovet he was, had stolen some of Monarch's food, and the Scatterbug did not take kindly to the theft. Kelsi didn't blame the bug, but she also didn't think that the two Pokemon repeatedly tackling each other until one ended up fainting was a good method of conflict resolution. She had just called her Scatterbug back into his ball, muttering darkly to herself, when she heard the alarmed shout.
Lugia? She had never seen such a Pokemon before, but the sight of the legendary's majestic silver body made even her stop for a moment with awe, and maybe even a little fear. There wasn't a single Pokemon on her team that stood a chance against that thing. For a few moments she was tempted to quietly slip away into the forest. But the island was small, and she knew that if the Lugia attacked once, it would likely do so again unless it was dealt with. No, better to stand with the other trainers... they seemed to know what they were doing, and would surely appreciate even a little bit of help rather than nothing at all. She hoped.
Hurrying to stand beside the others, she glanced at Copper. "Lets try to weaken it a little, let the others do the damaging," she told him. He nodded, waving his tail at the Lugia. Kelsi was aware of how foolish she must look, sending out such a weak Pokemon against a legendary, but there wasn't much else she could do really.

Venom was relaxing on the beach, looking up at the night sky and just enjoying the peaceful night air. He was glad that he and all the other people and trainers were happy and safe, but something was still nagging at him. The night the cruise ship was sunk, why did Lugia attack the ship like it did? Plenty of people and Pokemon passed through the Whirl Islands on a daily basis, so what made this occasion so different? Could Lugia have sensed the ill intension of the captain on board the ship? Was Lugia feeling threatened by such a large object passing through its territory? Or was something else going on with the Diving Pokemon? No matter how much time Venom spent mulling it over, he just couldn't figure it out. But then again, there were still lots of things about the world of Pokemon that humans didn't understand. Venom used to think that that was for the best, but now, he just couldn't shake his curiosity and concern. When help finally did arrive to save him and the other trainers, would they be attacked by Lugia as well? And even if that did happen, what could any of them do about it? Lugia was a legendary Pokemon with immense power, and while Venom and all the other trainers on the island were a capable lot, the ninja had more than his share of doubts that they'd be able to win a battle against such an overwhelming force. Even working together. The Poison type trainer did his best not to think about the worst-case scenario though, and just continued to lay back in the sand with his hands behind his head, staring at the stars. But then, out of seemingly nowhere, he heard a very beautiful, but also very menacing song. Venom jumped to his feet and raised his guard immediately, recognizing that song from when the cruise ship was sunk, knowing all too well who it belonged to. And as the legendary beast arose from the sea, Venom eyed it through the darkness with his snake eyes, able to see it clear as day. However, this was the first time in his life when he wished that his eyes were playing tricks on him. As a single bead of sweat flowed down from the ninja's head, he did his best to stay calm and access the situation. Venom then noticed several other trainers have already made up their minds to fight back and stand their ground, and that was all the motivation Venom needed to join the battle. As much as he didn't care for humans, he couldn't just go hide in the trees and let them fight alone. Still, Lugia was a Psychic type, and with a team full of Poison types, Venom knew that this wasn't gonna be easy. However, at the same time, that also served to increase his motivation even more. If Team Toxic could help bring down a legendary Psychic type Pokemon, then that would surely prove Venom's point once and for all that Poison type Pokemon are not to be taken lightly by any means. So, the ninja ran towards his fellow trainers to join then, then grabbed one of his own Poke Balls and threw it into the battle at hand. "Team Toxic won't run away! Not even from the legends themselves! Go Arbok!" Venom's beloved Cobra Pokemon emerged from her red and white orb, only to be shocked by the sights that greeted her outside. "Uhhh...Master, what the heck is going on?" Arbok had never seen such an imposing Pokemon in all her life, as all of her senses were screaming danger signals at her as she eyed her foe through the darkness of the night. "There's no time to explain, Arbok! I'm scared too, but the other trainers and Pokemon need our help now! So, it's time to put all of our anti-Psychic type training to the test! Use your Crunch attack and be sure to give it all you've got!"Arbok could tell right away that her trainer was just as scared as she was, but she could also sense that his determination was higher than ever too. It was all over his face. And even though she was scared, her love for Venom was even stronger. So, having gained more than a little determination from Venom, Arbok gathered her fortitude and prepared to attack. "If you won't run, then neither will I! I'll always stand with you, master Venom! Now, take this!" Arbok slithered towards Lugia as fast as she could, then jumped up at the Diving Pokemon and sank her fangs into its left leg, using every last ounce of her strength to do so. Through it all, Venom kept in mind that Arbok's ability, Intimidate, would lower Lugia's attack stat. And he hoped that her Crunch attack would not only deal some major damage, but also lower Lugia's defense stat to boot.

Sara woke up with a start, it had seemed several others had awoken, but why? Sara was unsure. She thought she could still hear the echoes of a piercing call, but perhaps it was just the echoes of her dreams. She quickly got up from her resting spot slightly inland. Sara had managed to reel in a few other trainers to start working on a rudimentary camp with her, and it was coming along slightly. There were a few sleeping mats made of woven palm fronds lying under a tree which had branches and leaves braced against it, providing some shelter from the cold of night. She could hear shouting in the distance, though it hadn't been all that uncommon these first few nights as people fought over resources. Sara decided it was worth investigating, if not just at a distance. She quietly got up as the other passengers and trainers around her slowly roused themselves as well, and made her way towards the main camp where most of the trainers who hadn't quite figured out what to do with themselves seemed to mull around. "Well that's not what I was expecting!" Sara said, as she watched a huge silhouette floating above the ground. It seemed several trainers had already taken to attacking the pokemon, and Sara wasn't going to wait around for whatever it was to devour the people and pokemon who were panicking and running around the beach. "Alright Momo, come on out!" Sara called out, tossing a pokeball out. A mudbray popped out of the ball, ready for action. "Momo, help out those other pokemon to take this thing down! Use Rock Slide!" Sara called out. Momo leapt into action, focusing her energy and pulling large rocks up from the ground.

As the Whirlpool engulfed Shocker Marchbaby was quite worried. Shocker was sturdier than a number of Pokemon but they were not facing a normal foe. Luckily within the Whirlpool Marchbaby could see Shocker enduring the swirling waters. He had no way to free Shocker for the time being however as other trainers had joined them in the battle Marchbaby no longer had to worry about facing a legendary Pokemon alone. " Well this is a good sign. Thank you for the help everyone. It will take all of us to chase Lugia off. Shocker should be able to tank a few hits but if anyone knows any healing moves it could really help." Marchbaby wanted to focus on attacking however but due to Lugia's Pressure Shocker would have to use a different move this time. " Shocker I know you are under a lot of pressure right now but try to use your Flash Cannon. It might not be as good as Thunderbolt but maybe we will still get lucky." Shocker then prepared the attack while still being spun around by the swirling water.

Lei's eyes shone as she watched the magnificent pokemon in front of her, what a beast! What wouldn't she give to catch something like that, a pokemon which was worthy of her! She ignored the little voice inside her head asking how she would control it.
She glanced around at the group of trainers who had gathered, it was hard to see in the darkness but she didn't doubt any of them would hesitate to try capture it as well, so she needed to be the quickest.
She flinched and clenched her jaw when the magnezone got engulfed in whirling water and the color drained from her face. Dragomir even took a few steps backwards and the dragon usually fought to the bitter end no matter the consequences, or that was at least how he had battled when Lei had caught him.
The woman raised her eyebrows in respect when the magnezone endured the hit and actually looked to be faring pretty well afterwards. She glanced at its trainer when he called out, somehow he seemed he was trying to take charge which was alright, as long as he didn't thought that meant he could claim the big price in the end. That Lugia was hers!
"I might do," Lei answered his asking for help, "but your pokemon is tough, I don't doubt it will be able to handle a bit more as I have something which will be more useful," she said confidently. If Shocker could handle a few attacks she could make sure the strongest pokemon in the area could hit harder.
"Dragomir, get behind me and keep the light screen going," Lei ordered and found another pokeball as the dragon scurried past her.
"Everyone! Don't move too far away, or my drampa's light screen can't reach and protect you!" She shouted as warning to everyone else as she released another strange pokemon, a stunky dressed in armor.
"Minerva, be ready!" Lei called her pokemon to attention, she was staring at the huge pokemon in front of her.

Xander walked along the shores of the beach the ship hand crash landed upon. He made it to the land with the other people who were aboard the ship with him, and it seemed as if everyone was pretty much doing their own thing and going in their own directions for the time being as no one really knew what to and not to do at this point in time. Xander pretty much was going with the flow of things currently. Before Xander knew it, night had fallen upon everyone on the island they were on, and off in the distance he heard something creepy and eerie make itself known from the depths of the water around the island itself. Xander had never seen anything like this in his life before. He had no idea what this was or what to do, he froze, just standing there for a bit. As he stood there he saw some of the other survivors start to battle whatever it was, and that caused him to snap out of it a bit. Xander quickly grabbed one of his Pokeballs from his belt and threw it out in front of him to join the rest of the Pokemon as they battled the sea creature before everyone. In a flash of white light, his Charmander, Blitzkrieg appeared and stood tall, staring down the creature. “Smokescreen Blitz!” Xander shouted to his Pokemon who nodded its head and opened its mouth and a stream of black smoke escaped its mouth in hopes to land in the eyes of the opponent.

The pale moonlight shined down from the dark skies above and cast an eerie glow across the lands. Dark tree trunks towered in sporadic patterns on the island. A chorus of birds sung around them and seemed to create a wonderful lullaby that worked almost too perfectly. The thirty year old trainer pulled her sleeping bag up over her shoulders and reached one hand out to zip it up inside of her tent. She covered her mouth with the same hand as she yawned, before rolling over and kissing Kotaro gently on the top of his head. “Good night, buddy!” Mishu said in a loud yawn as her eyes drooped shut and she slowly slipped off into a peaceful slumber…. Zzzz…zzzz…zzZZzzz…zzzZzzzZZZzzz….ZZZzzz…. Whu…zzzzzZzzzzZzzzzZZZzz….zZZZ...zzzzzzz…zZzzzZZZzzzZZZzz….. A noise disturbed the sleeping beauty. Her eyes cracked open as the sounds of scuffling stirred her awake. It wasn’t Kotaro’s barking that she heard ringing loudly and clearly in her ear. Instead, the pitch black canine with the skeleton-like ridges along her back and skull-like mask over her face was barking. Hinoina growled as her head lowered between her shoulders and her ears folded back against her head. She pawed at the strange contraption that was the zipper to their tent and nipped at it, trying to open it up so that she could escape. “Its….ok…..ggir…..irr….llll….” Mishu stammered groggily, before drifting back off to sleep. Zzzzz….Zzzzz…..zzzZZzzzZZzzz….ZZzzzz…..zZZzzz….pizza……Zzzz ….zzzzzZzzzz….meatball toppings…..Zzzzzzz….Zzzz…..Zzzzz…..Zzzzzz….pineapple fries….Zzzzzz ……Zzzzz….Zzzzz….rain storms mean voting parties…….ZZzzzzz….Zzzzzz…Yes, let cats drive….Zzzzzz Hinoina eventually managed to break free. She raced across the ground into the midst of the skirmish. Many may have hidden or cowered in the face of such a large and impressive legendary Pokemon. Hinoina’s fangs began to glow with thick flames that enveloped her entire maw. For this canine, however, all she saw was a large enemy that meant to cause them harm. “Stand down!” She barked as she raced forward and leaped to try to sink her fangs into the large bird-like Pokemon’s hide.

Even though Lugia had only used one move so far, that one move was more than enough of a demonstration of the power of a legendary Pokemon. Be that as it may, neither Venom nor Arbok were willing to back down, continuing to stand their ground with their follow trainers and Pokemon. Thankfully, a few more trainers and Pokemon had joined the battle, increasing their odds for victory. However, even though Arbok's Crunch was super effective, it didn't look like it did much damage at all. Lugia still looked incredibly strong and ready for much, much more. And even though the Diving Pokemon had chosen to ignore the ninja and his cobra in the last round, that could all change very quickly in the next round.
"I'm sorry, Venom! I did my best, but Lugia is very strong!" Arbok kept her determination strong, but still felt bad that she wasn't able to do more than she had done. Venom's determination didn't waver either, as he knew right from the start that even type advantage wouldn't guarantee victory by any means. "It's okay, Arbok! I know you're not weak! Legendary Pokemon are just that strong! Type advantage means almost nothing to them! Plus, it's definitely better than just sitting back and doing nothing!" Venom's words were strong and confident, but when it came to battling a legendary Pokemon, words on their own simply weren't enough.
Even as they stood there, Venom and Arbok felt the effects of Lugia's ability, Pressure, which not only made it a little harder to breath, but also prevented Arbok from using her Crunch attack again. This was very unfortunate for the poisonous pair, as that was the only move Arbok had that could actually do any significant damage to Lugia. With that in mind, Venom quickly called Arbok back to her Poke Ball, then grabbed a new one from his bag. "Sorry, Arbok! Come back for now! Next up, let's give Nidoking a try!" Venom tossed a single Great Ball up into the air, sending his Drill Pokemon into the fray, much to his surprise and enjoyment. "Woah! Is that Lugia?! Oh yeah! I am gonna get a ton of experience from this battle!" Nidoking grinned a big grin, and stomped his feet on the ground, already fully prepared to confront their legendary opponent.
OOC: Venom switches out Nidoking in place of Arbok.

Kelsi was feeling a little more confident after the first barrage of attacks. They seemed to be at least doing some damage to the Lugia, even if Copper looked rather puny compared to the others fighting beside them. Still, there was a problem; that Lugia's Pressure. Copper couldn't tail whip again with that in play, but his only other moves were defense curl and tackle... neither of which seemed particularly useful against such a powerful Legendary. But what else could she do? She could choose to send out Aconite, her Ekans, but then they would fall into the same problem once Aconite used his attack, and imagining the Ekans trying to wrap a Lugia... was a humorous yet unrealistic image. She decided to stick with Copper.
"Alright Copper. Use Tackle, but be careful." Copper glanced back with a huff, then leapt for the Lugia. It wouldn't do much damage, but hey, even a little bit of damage would help in the end, right?

As a few more trainers jumped into the mix Marchbaby felt ever so slightly more confident that they would be able to drive the beast away. Lugia seemed just as strong as the legends said but it did appear their efforts were slowly having an effect. " Great job everyone. Those status moves are really coming in handy. Shocker should be able to use Thunderbolt again so that should be helpful as well." Even with the residual damage from Whirlpool Shocker was still hanging on and looking for some revenge " Shocker I know you are still not in a great position but you seem to do the most damage so we need to keep dishing it out. Use Thunderbolt on Lugia again."
