"You're right, this is completely wrong! You are not supposed to be here and stick your nose where it don't belong!" The poacher chortled as he wiped the last of the water off his face. He ignored the low snarling from the houndour beside them, he'd deal with that when the trouble which was Zaiden was no more. It shouldn't be too hard, the kid was so nervous he probably couldn't concentrate and was easy to scare, so get his pokemon down and make him feel vulnerable and then either chase him off or tie him to a tree. When someone found him the poacher would be over the hills and far away, and if he hadn't already sold off the hounds at that point, he would be so far in the process that they would be as good as gone, houndours was crazy popular and he had been chasing these for days. He knew there were others out here but he'd be content with what he got. He smirked as he wiped his hands on his trousers, "you are right again! There is also gems, gold, silver, art and even land!" He mocked cheerfully, "but you know kid? funny enough that rarely brings food on the table, but money does."With that he began to stride determined towards Zaiden again, now his dumb squirtle was distracted there was nothing between him and the boy. He didn't care if he get hold of him or chased him off, he just wanted the kid out of the picture. He stretched out his hands as he got closer. "Take it down Snigger!""Why do you want to defend such helpless crybaby as your own?" Snigger retorted with snicker, "better her than me, besides, she could just cooperate then it wouldn't be needed." The sneasle shrugged, not caring what the squirtle thought and did. It itself had a pretty good life with little hardship, as long as it obeyed it was treated well, it was much better than the life it had known up to that. Fighting other wild pokemon over scraps, competing with its siblings from anything from food to shelter, it had always been yourself first and taken any advantages you could get. Snigger laughed and nimbly dodged the water attack, raced around a tree and appeared right beside Lónggui and shoved him to the ground. "What ways? My trainer doesn't make any roads, not even paths, there aren't any here you can see, just forest," it said innocently. The squirtle rolled around and before he got back up in his feet he sent another pulse of water which found its mark and crashed the sneasle into the bushes. It came staggering out a moment later, rubbing its head and seemed a bit unclear for a bit but it quickly got its smirk back. MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Zaiden watched the Poacher carefully. He used his right hand to rub his left shoulder and arm reflexively as he stared halfway at the ground and backed slowly away from the strange human. What could he do, though? He was just a teenager trapped in the midst of this mess with a mother fire dog who had bit him when he tried to set her free. Lóngguī held the strange ice cat at bay as long as he could, but with the Poacher trying to close the gap between them Zaiden didn’t feel so good about his odds. The young teen’s dark brown eyes searched around the area carefully as his mind raced. Did the Poacher carry weapons on him beyond the traps that Zaiden could readily see?
A bright beam of light shot out from the side of his pants, followed by another and another. Three forms took shape as his Pokemon recalled themselves from their Pokeballs. Doriru smirked when his eyes landed on the Poacher who was slowly advancing on his trainer, while Itachi and Senshi jumped in front of Zaiden reflexively. “I knew that one day I would be called on to become a hero!” Itachi declared and pumped his fists at his side. He hadn’t expected the day to arrive quite as soon as it did. Itachi questioned whether he was truly suited to try to save more than himself, but he trusted that the fates that aligned this catastrophe knew what they were doing by having him summoned out of his Pokeball. “I shall take care of this foe!” Itachi’s eyes began to glow brightly as he searched the Poacher through a strange sort of vision and prepared for the Poacher’s absolute worst.
Doriru, however, was not so kind. Violence coursed through his veins with a dangerous need to enact the worst of its out. The Trumbeak stretched his long wings out at his sides and swooped up high into the air before swooping down on the Poacher. “I’ve waited for this for far too long. Turn your eyes away now, young ones, for you do not want to witness what I’m about to do!” The large black woodpecker would attempt to peck at the top of the Poacher’s head without mercy or regard, while Senshi simply sat on the sidelines and calmly watched everything unfold. Senshi focused mentally and tried to search out the nearest cops in his mind’s eye to see how quickly they could have them summoned to the scene of the crime. “You…you won’t get away with anything!” Zaiden shook his head firmly and stated.
“But money doesn’t bring food. It buys food…” He tried to disagree before gulping back his words. It didn’t really make any sense, if the other items weren’t as good as food as money then why say that money put food on the table at all? You could trade those things for food too if you really wanted to. It was based on what one thought was worthwhile to trade for. It was just more common for people to trade things for money, including food, since it was a more universal tool to get what you really wanted. “You need…to stay back…Doriru, careful!” Zaiden squeaked with fear.
“I do what is just and right in the world!” Lóngguī snapped firmly and slapped his tail against the ground. The bright blue turtle would fire another powerful blast of water at the ice cat’s face, hoping to send the cretin spiraling backwards through the long line of trees in the forested area around them. “My trainer if young but he will find himself in time. Neither of you should have to suffer. If your heart is so cold, then there’s nothing left to save!” Lóngguī snapped firmly, not evening noticing the scuffle between the Poacher and Zaiden (and his other Pokemon) in the background. “We may be surrounded by just forest now, but soon enough you’ll both be carted away to jail. Where you both belong!” The Squirtle snapped.

Poacher Travis stopped abruptly and frowned when more pokemon appeared around Zaiden, as that threw a wrench into his plans. Now Zaiden had been so timid he had hoped he was so new a trainer he didn't have many pokemon, squirtle was known as pokemon for beginners, and if not he could have been lucky the younger trainer would be to frazzled to think clearly and lay down a plan. So what now? He scowled when the big bird looked aggressive and as it began to dive he flicked out a pokeball and Doriru was met but a purple bat which kept getting in her face and annoy her just enough for her to not be able to get close to the poacher. "Why are you doing this?" He growled, "what do you gain from it other than potential injuries?"He shook his head, "and that's why you need money, to get food on the table kid. Do you want my pokemon to go hungry? We're not in the stone ages where we trade fur for food, you get a ware to get money so that you can buy what you need. I need money as everyone else and I'm just collecting what the nature can offer me," he argued his case and opened his arms wide. He scoffed annoyed, "you are wasting both our times, I tried to be nice but you are getting on my nerves now boy. You are clearly not ready to be a trainer, so take your pokemon and get lost, or you'll pay the consequence." He threatened. "So babysitting? Looks like you are doing suited for that!" Snigger laughed and pointed at Zaiden, "seems like he could use some huggles don't he though? Those are the best medicine to calm down babies." It baby talked. It looked puzzled at the squirtle, "who's suffering? I'm great!" It ducked with a grin as the water pulse went straight over its head and it rushed in close and let its claws do the talking. but not for long as Lónggui spun around and blasted it with another water pulse and sent it tumbling over the ground where it lay still. It was not long enough to sent it flying in between the trees but he had certainly taken it out, and it disappeared in a flash as the poacher recalled it. A deep laughter rolled over the ground, it came from the little zubat, "you sound funny! Are you clowns from a circus in town? I really want to experience that, we never have time for such fun, can you show me some tricks?" It sounded rather childish, which didn't fit well with its deep voice, which you'd expect belonging to a much bigger pokemon- Lónggui grows +1 level to [Lv 16]! What's this?! He is trying to evolve to Wartotle! His Hp will be 17/45 if squirtle and 21/49 if WartotleHe also gains +1 Happiness (+2) Itachi watches and grows +1 level to [Lv 4] Poacher Travis sends out Guffaw [Lv 10]!

MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Zaiden watched his bloodthirsty woodpecker fly around in the air with the bright blue bat. Every time that Doriru swooped down with his large beak ready to score a nasty scar across the poacher’s head, the poisonous bat would flit in the way and send a blast of air to keep the large black bird at bay. “You think that you’re protecting your trainer from me,” Doriru licked his beak with a strange sort of malice glint in his eye, “but I’ll be the one with the last laugh!” Doriru didn’t let the bright blue bat ruin his fun, though. He simply soared over to a strong and sturdy branch in a nearby tree. Once Doriru landed on the tree’s branch, he would tuck his wings in at his sides and keep a firm gaze on both Travis and his Pokemon with a sick, twisted hope.
The blondish-brown haired teenager’s skittish gaze flickered from Travis to the hurt mother canine trapped inside of his contraption. Anger boiled underneath his skin, though anxiety stole his breath away. What could he say in the face of this monster of a person? What would it matter? Travis only saw the poor canine as a means to an end. There wasn’t anything that Zaiden could say in the moment that would make a difference, was there? “It’s not right to treat any creature this way.” The teenager’s trembling voice declared. “You’re hurting it! This is cruelty!” He snapped and pointed to the fire dog whose food was ensnared inside of the trap.
The questions that Travis posed made Zaiden scratch the back of his neck. There was no way that he would want any Pokemon to go hungry. Why would this poacher try to ask such an absurd question?! “No…but…” Zaiden’s rich brown eyes flickered around, traveling up the wide trunks of the live oak trees and across the long, swooping branches of the willows that sprung up out of the forest floor around them. “It’s just not fair to this mother canine or her pups. You can forage. There are berries buried somewhere around us. There are other ways beyond cruelty!” Zaiden managed to find his voice inside of himself – a voice that spoke up for the mother dog, who couldn’t speak for herself in the moment.
Lóngguī's body began to glow with a strange white light. His body stretched itself and elongated by nearly two extra feet! Lóngguī's large round head sprouted two long, fluffy ears and his tail stretched out, becoming longer and fluffier behind himself. The one bright blue turtle grew into a larger, darker blue Wartorle in the blink of an eye. Excited, Longgui spun around and slapped his longer, sharper clawed hands against the underside of his tough shell. “Look at me!” Then smirked as he spun and narrowed his eyes down on the remaining bat. “You’re next!” If this beastly human wanted to torture and trap the local wildlife, then Lóngguī would do everything in his power to ensure he would have to go through hell and back to do so.
But the small blue water lizard with his large yellow crest shooting out of the top of his head shot out of his ball and crawled up behind Lóngguī. He gulped with wide, frightful eyes. “You’re…you’re doing a great…great job! I hope to be…be strong one day…like you!” The bright blue Sobble popped his head out from around Lóngguī's larger new form and stared at the now defeated ice cat with a skittish, scared look. “He’s not babysitting!” He insisted. “He’s our bravest companion!” Lóngguī jumped over to stand behind Yarite and pushed the skittish Sobble forward with his clawed hands. “Now’s your chance, Yarite.” He declared with a nudge. “Take care of this bat for us and show us your skills.”
Yarite cowered, tucking his head in between his shoulders with a loud gulp. He was being sent out to battle, instead?! HIM?! After how poorly he did in the last battle?! “But I’m not ready to fight! I suck at battling!” Lóngguī gripped Yarite on the shoulders with one of his hands and stared defiantly at the bright blue bat with a firm frown. “You’re not battling just to battle, you know. See that mother? She needs our help most. Do it for more than yourself. I believe in you, and that’s all you need. Right?” Yarite gulped and shot out a blast of cold water from his mouth, hoping to knock the flittering bat right out of the air. “I…hope so…I definitely don’t want to just be this guy’s circus act…” Yarite mumbled underneath his breath.

"Me? Protecting him? Why would I do that?" Guffaw laughed, "you can have him if you want, but I'll warn you, there is no return right here so you'll be stuck with him!" It sighed defeated, "that's how I ended up with him."It grinned into the air where it thought the bird was, didn't seem like Doriru destroyed the bat's mood either. As the trumbeak landed in a nearby tree, the bat began turning its head around with twitching ears, "where did you go?" It asked in a deep calm voice. It didn't try find him or go for any of the others, as its task of keeping him off of Travis has been successful. Travis rolled his eyes at Zaiden's argument, "blah, blah, you are forgetting they are wild pokemon. They can withstand a Hyper Beam just fine, there is nothing I could do which could be remotely as bad as they do to each other." The poacher sounded tired like he had had this conversation many times before, "It's not like I'm not going to get it healed after this," he added. Not healing it would just be plain stupid, people funny enough wanted healthy pokemon and an untreated wound could make the hound very sick. Besides, healing pokemon was as easy as it could get, Travis had contacts who could help with that quickly and the houndour would have no visible marks from the ordeal. Travis grimaced, "At this time of year? I could probably get some apples, but what for winter? Hm? And life isn't fair, if it was I wasn't here arguing with a kid who thinks you can just poke whoever on the back and get an easy job and enough money to live in a mansion," he grumbled. "I'm actually doing these dogs a favor, I bring them out of the cold and into a warm house where they will be fed regularly. They are popular so I'm sure they will get loving homes with young blue eyed trainers like yourself," he added as he tried to sell the deal to the boy. "What's the difference from you battling a wild pokemon and catching it in a pokeball against its will?"Perhaps, just perhaps he could fool the kid long enough to get away with his prize. It wasn't like he was lying really, but he was surely not telling the whole truth. There were other problems with poachers catching all pokemon in a family rather than just a single one, which had the option of fighting back. Travis' jaw tensed when Lónggui evolved, things suddenly looked a lot more dire although he was determined not to show Zaiden that. "Oh! You changed! Congratulations!" The zubat congratulated cheerfully, sounded like a proud father, "It's a shame you can't figure out how to babysit, it is really giving for you as well. Toddlers can teach you so much!"Laugher from the zubat rolled through the forest, "don't feel bad about sucking! You need to lose anyway and it just makes it faster!" It sighed wistfully, "I would really wish you'd start your act soon, it has been ages since I have been in Circus and it is so entertaining."The bat didn't really.. move or try to attack and turned out to be a great target practice for Yarite who aced it and hit it square on. It rolled through the air before it plummeted to the ground. Travis groaned and rubbed his neck as if he was ashamed of his bat's poor performance but wasn't really worried, as if he had plenty of other pokemon on hand he could sent out when it failed. In reality he used it to hide his glanced around for an escape route, it was better to leave his prey behind to be able to hunt another day. Zaiden sounded young and innocent enough to get the stupid idea of trying to turn him in! "You need to buy yourself some time Guffaw," Travis said dryly and the bat stirred, it struggled for quite some time but managed to get up on its feet, but not up from the ground and flying. A deep breath and a rumbling laugher quickly build up to a high pitched screech which cut through bones and no hands would be able to cover, and Yarite's head began to spin. The mother houndour suddenly jerked her head up and to the left, starring into the forest as she had heard something move there. A brief low growl was heard too but was drowned out by the battle and Guffaw's screaming. The fire dog tucked her pups closer to her protectively and tried to both keep and eye on Zaiden (since he was the closest one) and whatever she had heard nearby. MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Zaiden’s blood boiled underneath his skin. Though anxiety swirled inside of his chest, the pain of his adrenaline pumped through his veins and slammed against him like a ton of bricks. Nothing he said would matter to this Poacher, would it?! There was no amount of rehabilitation that he could do to save the wretched soul who only saw this Pokemon as a means to an end – torture included! Zaiden bit his lower lip and slipped his hand into one of the pockets of his denim jeans. He casually brushed his fingers against the smooth, cold texture of his cellphone as he turned his attention to his Pokemon. “I can’t help you.” Zaiden said with a loud huff.
“Doriru Tailwind.” Zaiden instructed and nodded towards the Poacher with a determined look. Zaiden’s eyes were narrowed with a sharp look as he flared his nostrils. The strong winds from Doriru’s tailwind would surely be enough to keep the Poacher at bay. If he was lucky, the winds would simply knock the Poacher off course should this aggressively dangerous guy try to come steal any of Zaiden’s items away from him. There could be no ‘escape’ for someone this deranged. Even if Zaiden saved this poor mother canine, if the Poacher managed to escape then there would surely be others like her placed in the same sorts of perils. “Senshi Detect.” Zaiden nodded towards the female Houndour, hoping that his calmer Pokemon would be able to help calm the mother canine down so that they could help her.
Doriru smirked as he shot up high into the air and began flapping his wings as hard as he could together. Strong gusts of wind would spin in a sharp spiral, creating turbulent winds that could easily knock someone off their feet if they weren’t careful. “It’s my pleasure. Oh, let me rip this person apart!” Doriru shouted with glee. Senshi hopped over to the side of the tree while making sure to keep a safe distance from the wild dog and her pups. His eyes began to glow while Senshi tried to detect the worst of her wounds and the emotions that flooded through her body. “Watch it, Doriru. We’re not criminals, so we shouldn’t try to seriously hurt any humans. You’re just keeping him at bay.” Senshi pointed out, before turning his attention to the mother Houndour. “Hey there…listen…I know you’re hurt, but we only want to help you…that man did this. We aren’t that man and we’re not working with him. Is there anything I can do to help prove this for you?” He asked.
Yarite trembled with wide eyes that darted from Lóngguī and Guffaw. The bright blue Wartortle nodded approvingly towards his teammate and turned with a slightly confused look towards Guffaw’s praises. When did bad guys try to praise their opponents, who tried to stop them from doing their ‘bad guy’ deeds? “Thank you, Zubat.” Lóngguī stated with a bit of a hum in his tone. “Why are you choosing the path of evil, if your heart isn’t as fully tainted?” Lóngguī had to ask with some curiosity. Yarite shuddered and twisted his head this way and that as the confusion set in. He struggled to see through it all as he spat large mouthfuls of water into the air, hoping to knock the Zubat out of the skies. “It…it should…shouldn’t matter…right? All…all…bad guys should…should be beaten?”
Zaiden sighed, pulling his phone out and flipping it open to dial emergency numbers to report the Poacher to the proper authorities. “Maybe some time behind bars will teach you what I can’t.” He shrugged. Zaiden would tell the authorities everything they wanted to know – from where they were as best as he could recall the location, to the description of what the Poacher looked like. Zaiden was counting on his Pokemon being able to keep the Poacher at bay, to allow him the time he needed to make the official report, though.

"No boy, you choose to not help me, and that's making it your problem. You could always decide to just turn around and leave, I did even give you the option of leaving," Travis said darkly, and grimaced when Zaiden began to give his pokemon determined orders. How did he fail so miserably? He had the price within reach, he was supposed to be rich from this and the kid had been so frazzled he should have been easy to scare off! How had he somehow managed to give the boy courage?! The wind began to howl around him and he stumbled back but managed to stay on his feet, he had to, he didn't doubt Zaiden would do something stupid like turning him in, if the boy got him down. He raised his hands to protect his face against the wind and the debris which was flung around with it, gears working in high speed as he tried to come up with something that could make Zaiden stop what he was doing. The houndour mother snarled warningly as Senshi stepped closer, she was not going to shy away from biting him too, should he get too close to her pups. "Right! That's why you attack us before, we were out trying to find food for my pups and you chased us. Why would you do that if it wasn't because you wanted them yourself!" She spat and her hackles rose, "get lost and leave me alone! That's how you can help me!"Guffaw laughed heartedly, "you're so funny! Evil! You really are great with kids and making stories!" It fluttered a bit closer and pointed a wing briefly where it eyes would have been as it added teasingly, "I don't see any evil!" It guffawed and looked at a point to the left of where Yarite was sitting, "did you get it? See? I have no eyes!""No no no no, bad guys shouldn't be beaten! Neither should the good guys! No one should be beaten!" The zubat blabbered cheerfully, "you'll scare your kid saying stuff like that! There is no good and evil, just nuances of grey! Don't forget that! Everybody should be friends, we can talk about things and be kind to each other, right? If we..." Guffaw's long tirade got cut short as Yarite's water pulse hit its wing and send it swirling through the air. The poacher snarled silently and spun around and raced towards the forest, leaving his zubat behind as it would take too much of the precious little time he had, recalling it. Zaiden wouldn't need to make any calls as a growlithe bursted from the bushes and raced after the poacher. He wouldn't get far. A female police officer stepped out from the same place a moment later and walked over to Zaiden, "well done! You have a lot of courage to stand up against someone like him!" She praised loudly and smirked when a howl was heard from the forest, "and there we got him."She turned to look at the still snarling houndour and her expression softened, "poor thing, too wary to trust us and too much in pain to think clearly. I don't think she'll listen to any reason before she feels better and knows her pups are safe," she sent Zaiden a quick glance, "don't be alarmed," she warned in a soft voice and then let out a Chansey who rushed closer to the hound when she spotted it. She too was met with a snarl and got bitten when she tried to get closer anyway. "You need to calm her before you can heal her Chansey, then we'll take her to your Nurse Joy," The officer called out and the chansey began a soft lullaby so that the hounds soon were snoring away peacefully. "Target secured, I got a code 14 and need transportation to the Pokemon Center, it's an injured houndour with pups." The officer said into her walkie talkie. "Thanks to you we got the guy and will make sure these will get the treatment they need," Officer Jenny declared and handed Zaiden a wad of bills. She smiled warmly to him, it was nice having some good trustworthy trainers out there working for the good with all the bad that was happening in the world. If Zaiden stuck around, Officer Jenny would be willing to chat with him, and a car would eventually arrive with more officers and Nursey Joy who carefully got the still sleeping houndour into the truck. Chansey had been working on healing that and the pups for all the time and there were no visible scar left, and soon the poacher would be lead past in handcuffs back towards the city. MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Zaiden couldn’t disagree more with Travis’ logic. He knew what this Poacher was doing to the mother dog and her pups, so it made him an accomplice to the crime if he tried to turn away and pretend like he hadn’t seen anything at all. It wasn’t right! Even if he couldn’t always be sure of himself – of his ability to lead his Pokemon – and he knew that his anxieties often made its chokingly hard for him to communicate with others, he knew that this was too much of a wrong to just look the other way. “You’re…wrong…” He said softly, finding the courage to speak firmly even if his voice wavered a bit as he did so. “I’ve…witnessed this…cruelty. Tha…that makes me…an accomplice. If I don’t do the right…thing…”
When Travis spun around on the tips of his feet and rushed through the thick overgrowth of the forest, Zaiden’s heart dropped in his chest. He could feel it crash down to his feet and shatter into a million pieces. Sure, the mother dog was still with him ensnared by Travis’ traps with her pups licking at her frightfully so. He could still help them and try to ensure their safety and survival. But how many more Pokemon would Travis hurt in the long run?! How many would have to suffer if this Poacher managed to get away?! “No!” As Zaiden shouted, Doriru shot out of the tree and sped through the air from above. While Officer Jenny’s Growlithe chased Travis and would quickly subdue him, Doriru would shout from the skies which direction the Poacher ran to make it easier on the dog that tracked him down.
“Oh…thanks…” Zaiden rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and turned to glance away at the ground by his feet. Officer Jenny placed a hand on his shoulders and reassured him once more that what he did here today had been a tremendous help for her. “I was just…worried about the pups…I admire the work real cops like you…do…” Zaiden admitted, his voice fading a bit on some parts, though he’d eventually find the courage to speak back up while speaking. Officer Jenny reached into her pocket and pulled out a small card with the precinct’s public information on it and passed it over to Zaiden, who pocketed it as easily. She explained process of joining the forces and even gave Zaiden information about their Auxiliary rank, though she urged him to wait until he was of a proper age before ever considering the life of a police officer as an official job.
Then, they parted ways just as easily, with Zaiden picking up his belongings and wandering back to the beginning of the pathway where they’d all forked off previously. This time, Zaiden would walk down the center of the pathway to see what that might have in store for him. Though, when Yarite squealed loudly and began to glow with a strange light, everyone on Zaiden’s team paused and watched excitedly as the small lizard began to evolve and change into a taller lizard with a rather angsty expression. Yarite sighed, plopping down on the ground, and looked casually away, embarrassed a bit by his own evolution. “Oh, good work, Yarite!” Zaiden called to his Pokemon, then recalled him with Yarite didn’t seem to want to walk with them down this new path.
OOC: Yarite evolves, self-updated. Taking center path!

As they walked howls were heard in the distance, but they were different from how they had sounded when Zaiden had first heard them earlier today. For once there was only one, and it sounded like the howler was in pain, not gathering up courage to make an important move. When he could spot a big tent among the trees the howls had quietened down, but a muffled voice could be heard coming from the tent. "Pst! Hey! Over here!" A voice suddenly whispered loudly from a bush. A boy had popped his head out and waved frantically to Zaiden to come closer. "There's something fishy going on there Mr." The boy whispered so loudly Zaiden didn't even need to go closer to hear him, "there's something howling in there and I know there's been lots of bad trainers around here, far from the town you know. I think there might be someone in there who's a bad trainer too and I don't think Officer Jenny knows!" The boy whispered secretly and pointed at the tent. He looked up at Zaiden in a judging way, "are you a bad trainer?" He asked accusingly but a simple no would be enough to convince him otherwise. "That's good! It's not nice for the pokemon to be under a bad trainer, can you go say that to him?" The boy asked and pointed at the tent again, and for once sounding a bit scared. The flap was pushed aside and an elegant and well trained trainer who clearly thought a lot about fashion stepped out and looked around. He cleared his throat, "come here, you need to teach it its place," he said harshly and a glameow who had been snoozing under a nearby tree, stretched and trotted elegantly after him into the tent. Now a loud whimper could be heard. If Zaiden followed he'd hear hisses and fearful whining and if he opened the tentflaps he'd see one of the houndours covering up against the tent wall with the glameow advancing on it. "No claws, it can't have any visible marks for the next contest, that will deduct points," the coordinator said coldly. Coordinator Rod is "training" his houndour with the help of his Glameow [Lv 10]!

Zaiden’s eyes widened as he listened to the howls rattling in the distance. They echoed off the trees and created an eerie environment. When the wind blew through the treetops and caused the long branches to shake and twist about, the howling that echoed through them seemed to be as though the trees themselves were crying out. Screaming from the pain that passing travelers and construction crews of years past may have caused it. One long howl ended with three sharp yelps that were full of so much pain, they caused Zaiden to jump back and turn his head in every direction. What was that strange noise? He pressed on, encouraging his Pokemon to follow close beside him as they searched for the source.
Zaiden gulped as he stopped, frozen in place, when a strange lad popped his head out from a nearby bush and hurried him over to his side. It wasn’t so long ago that he’d had to face off with that one strange Poacher and even called for Officer Jenny to hurry onto the scene. Were they still dealing with that criminal down at the precinct? “Me?” The rich brown eyed lad asked, furrowing his eyebrows together. Though, as the strange young lad continued on and explained how there were bad trainers around the area, Zaiden nodded his head firmly. “We just stopped a Poacher-” Then stopped himself in mid-conversation as he realized he was trying to cut the other lad’s speech off halfway through.
“Officer Jenny is dealing with the Poacher.” Zaiden explained, once he finally listened to the lad’s entire speech. He turned and walked over to the large tent slowly with one hand paused on top of his Pokeball. What he would find hidden behind the tent’s large flaps remained a mystery. When a strange young man with striking green hair stepped out of the tent and ordered his furry greyish-blue feline to come teach something ‘it’s place’, Zaiden’s large black bird swooped in before anyone else had any time to react. Doriru had seen enough of these villains and their painful ways. He’d watched on the sidelines for as long as he could, craving to cause as much pain to them as possible while his friends only wanted to apprehend them to stop them from their terrorizing ways.
“I am going to love this so much!” A wild gleam danced inside of the large woodpecker’s eyes as he smirked and slammed his beak into the ground to create large, powerful shockwaves through the earth. He’d hoped to cause them to slam into the dull furred cat and let her be the one to experience the pain she might have inflicted upon another. What better delight was there, than letting others who thought that there were the ‘big bad wolf’ suffer their just deserts when karma came knocking on their doorsteps? “So you like hurting others, do you? You obviously do, if you’ll hurt your own partners just because some cruel trainer tells you to. You’ve claws and teeth, so don’t even try to say you’ve just gotta do as you’re told!”
“Doriru! Ah!” Zaiden gasped as the ground shook underneath him as well! The bird was powerful and strong, but he didn’t realize that Doriru’s need for vengeance caused his bird to be a bit blindsided by his own rage. Zaiden would recall the bird in a hurry and fish out another Pokemon in its place – a small white bird whose calmer demeanor by comparison would be a welcomed change of pace. “Doriru you mean well…but we’ve gotta think our strategy through first…” Zaiden spoke to his Pokemon’s Pokeball with a soft sigh.
OOC: Doriru is sent out first and uses Rock Smash. Then Kamome switches in.

"A poacher!" The boy gasped horrified and then quickly slapped a hand for his mouth as he looked worried towards the tent and the coordinator. "It's good Officer Joy has handled that! But that means she can't handle this!" He whispered loudly and bit his lip and looked hopefully up at Zaiden. He was one of the good guys, right? He could stop the bad trainer from being mean to the pokemon, right? The dog covered in the corner whimpering as the glameow advanced on it, but it got saved by the bell as Doriru swooped in and made both Rod and his grey cat spin around to face him. The coordinator's mouth fell open but the cat's eyes narrowed and she was ready when he attacked. The ground shook when he whammed the ground with his long hard beak which made the houndour howl in fear and Rod curse as he lost his footing and fell on his rump. The cat though, was ready and she nimbly leaped over the tremors, only setting her foot on the ground in between where the ground wasn't shaking and in three mighty bounces she was right in front of the bird. "Do you?" She retorted with a glimmer in her eyes, "I'm telling a fellow partner his place so that we have a chance of winning the Grand Festival, while you have no idea who you are up against." With a quick swipe of her paw she kicked Doriru's legs from underneath him so he fell down on his side. He surely would have been quick to gather his wits and come with a smart retort to the cat, but Zaiden didn't let him as he was recalled while the cat watched with a smirk. A white bird took his place and the cat hissed a warning growl at him, "you are messing with something you should stay out of! Leave us alone, we have important preparations to do!"Rod got up on his feet and stomped to the flaps which he flung aside angrily. "Show yourself spy! This is the most unprofessional way of trying to steal my moves I have ever seen! And I have seen plenty!" He shouted as he looked around, if Zaiden was in sight he would scowl at him. "Princess! Get rid of these disturbing wannabes, we need to focus on training so we can get that Ribbon!" He demanded and the cat flicked her tail as she crouched, ready to pounce at Kamome. MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Emotions swelled up inside of the pit of Zaiden’s stomach and swirled around inside of a ravenous sea. Anxieties befriended nervousness and battled against anger and animosity. How could this stranger be so cruel to his own Pokemon? What could the beige teenager do to save this canine from such an unimaginable fate? What would have happened if Zaiden had never shown up to investigate the matter more thoroughly?! “Shouldn’t make them fight.” Zaiden explained calmly with a small quiver in his voice. He tried to reassure himself that perhaps he’d only jumped to conclusions, since he hadn’t witnessed too much abuse with his own eyes. “Why?”
Kamome soared up as high as his wings could comfortably take him. He was mindful of the cat and noticed the canine cowering underneath the tree nearby. “What am I messing with that I should leave alone?” The white bird asked curiously. The seagull’s small black eyes searched around until they spotted the small cowering black dog. He’d quickly fly over and hover just above the Houndour while tilting his head down towards the poor canine. “Did you learn your lesson from before?” Kamome asked curiously. It wasn’t so long ago that he fought against this very canine, so Kamome couldn’t help but make sure that any lesson it might have learned during that time really stuck. “What’s going on now? Are you ok?”
Zaiden sighed and shook his head when the coordinator instructed his grey cat to ‘get rid of’ them. This wouldn’t end on easy terms. Why did some trainers like causing pain to their Pokemon, or feel as though the pain they caused their Pokemon was justified? Because they assumed that the pain they could inflict would help teach their Pokemon a valuable lesson? “Supersonic Kamome.” Zaiden called out as he rubbed the side of his head with his fingertips. Could he help try to talk some sense into this young man or would it all go inside of one ear and out another, too? What was the point – beyond saving a life this time – if it wouldn’t change the person for the better? How could he be sure that the cruelty they left behind in their wake wouldn’t just restart and continue later on down the road?
Kamome landed on a branch in the tree and folded his wings near his side. He would wave one of his wings towards the cat, then immediately hop down on the ground while keeping a wary eye on the Houndour. Should the black dog leap after him with a burst of found energy, then Kamome would immediately take back to the skies as he strived to escape the canine’s grasp, only to land a safer distance away. Once it was safe, Kamome would turn his attention back on the Glameow. “Are you sure the best way to prepare for anything? You’re only preparing for pain and injury, which can’t help you win…whatever it is you think you’re going to win…” He stated, while releasing supersonic waves from his vocals to try and confuse the furry feline. And should Glameow try to rush him and attack him, Kamome would try to take swiftly to the air above and dive down to attack Princess back as hard as he could.
OOC: Kamome uses Supersonic & then Quick Attack.

"Huh? What are you saying?" Rod answered as Zaiden's words made little sense to him, "if you don't want to fight then you shouldn't try steal my moves and practices! Who are you even? Some beginner class who has won no ribbon at all? I know I'm one the road to be the very best and I'm certainly not going to accept you are trying to steal that from me and claim it as your own!"It didn't occur to him that to Zaiden this wasn't about training for a contest but something completely different, and something which Rod probably didn't see as a problem either. Rod had trained hard and he knew his routine would win him a lot which was why he had moved out here to be able to train undisturbed, but somehow his fame had gotten ahead of him and someone had managed to seek him out. "How did you find me out here?" He asked annouyed. The cat was no happy that Kamome took so lightly to her warning and even went to the pathetic dog! She was right here and she was the star of the show, this was ridiculous! The houndour whimpered when it saw who was coming, this dog wasn't ready to trust a pokemon who had attacked it earlier when it had tried to live a better life than what it had been forced into. The only Answer Kamome got to his questions was the dog hiding its eyes under its front paws, shaking slightly with fear. "Hey! It's me you are talking to!" Princess roared and leaped after the wingull who at least hadn't landed yet and easily dodged out of the swiping claws. The cat followed him in the ground, not once did her eyes leave him and she hissed annoyed when he landed on the branch. "Stay out of this or get down her and battle properly you *****!" She hissed as she restlessly prowled back and forth beneath him. He did choose to land on the ground and Princess immediately crouched as she got ready to pounce. The houndour didn't even see Kamome land this time and wouldn't realize if there were any attempts to help make it escape from its current hell. Not that it would have dared it now as it had just tried it and had failed miserably. As the wingull returned his attention to the cat, she was already in the air and she landed squarely on him and whacked him to the ground while she dug her claws in deep. "Will you shut up?!" She hissed after he finished he speech anyway, "you have no clue what you are talking about and I told you to get lost, now you are paying the price for not listening to me!"She hissed and stumbled back and let go of him when he hit her with his supersonic waves, and she shook her head and rubbed her paw over her face, she even tried to scratch it with her hindleg to try clear it up, but missed greatly and 'scratched' thin air instead. "Pull yourself together Princess! Ignore it and use your other senses!" Rod commanded and the cat froze, her whiskers twitched, she did a half stumble in the direction of Kamome who quickly leaped to the sky, swung around, dived and sent her sprawling to the ground. She rolled around and flailed her claws wildly, which Kamome was too close to avoid. MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
A soft sigh escaped the young teenager trainer’s lips. This bully couldn’t see past his own ego to realize the harm that he was causing his own Pokemon. Was this how he expected to lead them all to victory for whatever ribbon Rod hoped to obtain for himself? Did he even care about the physical and emotional wellbeing of his Pokemon in the process, or did he consider them disposable pawns that were only meant to serve him in his goal? The beige teen reached up and rubbed his temples with his hands as he glared at Rod and glanced over towards the hurt Houndour with a firm frown on his lips. Zaiden would take a determined step forward, hoping to inch his way between Rod and the coordinator’s own fire dog to prove a point.
“Kamome, Quick Attack.” Zaiden nodded his head towards the steel grey feline as he decided to focus his attention back on the battle at hand. There wasn’t a reason to try and argue this man out of his delusional state. If Rod couldn’t see what Zaiden meant, the emotional upheaval to get him to understand and see why that was wrong would be a heavy cost for the young dishwasher blonde boy to try and do. “Just enough to win.” He added, as though it needed to be stated that Zaiden held no personal ill will with Rod’s feline. The Glameow was simply doing as it was instructed too. Zaiden highly doubted that the Pokemon was just unnecessarily cruel to its companion beyond the fact that its trainer made it act out aggressively against the poor, defeated fire dog.
Kamome glanced from the cowering fire dog to the short-coated cat and blinked. Carefully, he began to study the area for the best outcome that might help him turn the tide of this battle around. Thankfully, the supersonic waves seemed to work on this mangy feline and could help turn the battle in Kamome’s favor. But…he knew that he wasn’t nearly as physically strong as his opponent – at least in brute strength alone. And doubted that his watery shots were the best for his speedy companion who seemed to skate across the slushy terrain around them while the white seagull soared bravely above. Though most of the branches looked sturdy alone…hmm…yes! That was perfect! Kamome dived up high inside of a large willow and landed on a branch, trying to lure the feline away from the scared canine. “If you want to talk, I’m over here!” Kamome jested, spouting the most pathetic spits of water onto the ground. “What’s the matter? Delcatty got your tongue?” He snickered.
Kamome pecked furiously at one of the weakest branches on the tree while he waited to see if his taunts would work. He needed just enough force and momentum to pin the furry feline on the ground, but he also needed to be careful not to give himself away too easily. So when he knew that she was wandering close enough, Kamome would dive out of the tree and circle in the sky just overhead of Princess a few feet above her tauntingly. “You don’t look like yourself, sweetheart.” Kamome jested and tried to ram into Princess’ side with a speedy attack. Hopefully, this will all pay off in the long run. Though how he could convince the poor dog to scram while the scramming was good was beyond him for the moment, Kamome had to trust that everything would come together in due time. Zaiden watched curiously, trying to follow his own bird’s logic, though it really just looked as though the winged avian was darting from tree to tree almost aimlessly at times.
OOC: Kamome uses Quick Attack.

Coordinator Rod snarled silently when Zaiden shut up like an oyster and seemed to go completely mute except for the few quiet comments he had to his own pokemon. "What? Meowth got your tongue?" He snapped at the intruding trainer, unknowingly mimicking the wingull's words to his cat. What was it with other trainers? Why did they always try to sniff him out and steal his routines which he had worked so hard to perfect instead of just making their own? There would be no pride over your own work when you stole others, and when it would clearly be a copy of his own it would also make them lose point in a competition. They all had to be pathetic beginners who had no clue what they were doing, but what baffled him even more was that a lot of them went quiet just like Zaiden did and then threw some half bad excuses about him being harsh towards his pokemon. He shook his head to his own line of thoughts, it was beyond him what made them come up with something like that. The cat hissed and made a hilarious sound when she shook her head at the same time. "Coward! That was a cheap trick and just because you don't dare facing me for real! Hiding in the clouds just means you're scared! So brave you are to stay high above and pretend you are not afraid!" She screamed frustrated at the white bird whom she tried to keep track on. It was impossible when she still had what sounded like a gigantic bell ringing the hour inside her skull, she could not concentrate. Princess was completely unprepared for the quick tackle and was sent rolling over the ground to land right beside the tent. She stumbled to her feet hissing and stumbled over a tent peg to faceplant into the grass again.
