ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Zaiden’s heart pounded against the walls of his chest as he barreled down the route. Several passersby shot him dirty glances, with some balling their fists up and waving it in the air. “Watch where you’re going?!” “You better watch it!” “Look where’s you’re going, idiot!” and several variations of the same thing were shouted from the people around him. But they were unconcerned by the sounds that attracted Zaiden’s attention. The sounds of something unearthly human screaming in the distance. The words were too muddled, given the distance between Zaiden and the young schoolboy, and many of the pedestrians that he stopped and asked would only shrug and vaguely assume it to be some sort of Pokemon. But Zaiden knew better. There was no way another human made that noise!
He stopped at the base of random trees with his hands pressed so firmly against their trunks that the bark would dig into his flesh and manage to nick him a few times. Fresh droplets of blood coated the barks of random trees – too tiny to really see, though they created a bio-map of where the teenager had been. Where were they?! Were they still ok?! Desperate, Zaiden cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted back into the void of reality itself, “HEY!” He waited, heaving labored breaths of air, and listened to the drumming of his own heartbeat. Silence greeted him at first, like a slap in the face. Silence that brought with it a total sense of dread.
Please! Zaiden begged silently, with widened eyes that searched through the dense fog for signs of any life anywhere. A patch of gall green grasses bobbed and swayed erratically as something rushed through them and Zaiden kicked himself off the ground through them. What was it? Was it something dangerous or the missing person that Zaiden swore that he’d heard previously?! A small, furry purple mouse reared up with a loud hiss. It’s sharp red eyes narrowed down on the beige teenager as it clacked its buckteeth together defensively. A warning. ‘Stay back or else!’ The Rattata would spin around immediately, and dart on the tips of its feet through the wild grasses as soon as Zaiden paused, immediately terrified of the rodent until he mentally registered what it was.
Just a Rattata… But the screams couldn’t be over something so small? Could it? Zaiden’s eyes peered up from treetop to treetop until the loud sounds of snarling caught his attention. He pushed his way through a large briar bush, cursing underneath his breath as their spiky branches scratched at his flesh, only to jump backwards and nearly fall into the wild bush from shock. The image of three menacing, snarling black dogs surrounding the base of a large tree and lunging up at a small boy who was just trying to hang onto the branch for dear life greeted Zaiden’s gaze. What on earth was going on here?! “Do…you need help…?” Zaiden asked, asking the obvious, as he called out his blue turtle, water lizard, and white seagull from their balls in preparation of the fight at hand.

It had been a bit chilly day and the fog had shielded it all in a mysteriously cloud which Jimmy found exciting as it was a little bit unnerving when you didn't know what could be hiding in it, but on the other hand, you could be hiding from others as well! Jimmy stayed at the path he knew today as he explored the fog covered world and he stopped abruptly when he saw a shadow move past, it disappeared and he giggled nervously. It was just a pokemon, of course it was. He continued straining his ears and clutching his chingling to his chest, his eyes darted around trying to see something in the fog. He jumped when a loud hiss was heard and he spun around, and started laughing at his own reaction. "It's just a rattata!" he told himself as he watched the purple rodent glare at him. Jimmy's budew took a step forward as the rodent warned them to stay away, "It's just a rattata, come on," the boy reassured his pokemon and continued down the path, leaving the rat behind. They got further into the route and Jimmy looked eagerly (and a bit nervous) as another shadow moved, and this one stayed. His heart began beating and he muffled a giggle by pressing his face to the chingling, who chimed happily. Another shadow joined the first and Jimmy took a step backwards while both his budew and azurill stepped forward protectively. "It's just a pokemon!" Jimmy said both to calm his pokemon but also to reassure himself, his smile slowly disappeared when a low growl was heard behind him, and he looked nervously over his shoulder where another shadow was getting closer. "Deew!" Jimmy's budew screamed and the boy's mouth fell open when he saw the scarred ground and darkened side on his grass type. The growl grew in loudness and two black dogs with salvia dripping from their mouths and gleaming eyes materialized from the shadows. Fire began to dance in their mouths and Azurill reacted fast and sent them stumbling back with a quick bubble beam, Budew sent the third jumping back with a dust of yellow spores. Chingling chimed loudly and wriggled like crazy in Jimmy's arms, and the boy spun around and ran away. He didn't get far, the excited howls from the hunting pack quickly caught up to him and in the last second he threw everything he had in his hands and lunged for a branch in a tree. He heard snapping jaws right below him as he pulled himself up with a strength he didn't know he had and clung to the branch as tears welled in his eyes. "HEEEEEEELP!" He screamed with his own three small pokemon running around at a safe distance, unable to figure out what to do. Jimmy screamed again and again in what felt like an eternity, but then, finally, someone came. Even in his panicked state Jimmy could only stare at Zaiden's ridiculous question, but he was no where near being able to make a dry comment on it. "HEEEELP!" He simply screamed at Zaiden and broke down crying which made his next attempt to ask for help impossible to understand. The three houndours turned to face Zaiden snarling.

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Fear engulfed the beige teenager’s heart. Zaiden’s eyes widened in alarm as he stared dumbfounded at the scene before him. Three muscular black dogs circled the base of the tree with flames licking from their lips. They howled and lunged repeatedly, trying to snap at the schoolboy’s exposed limbs to gobble him up. Zaiden’s heart raced inside of his chest, and he searched around him for a brief second, trying to determine what he could do to help Jimmy out of his situation. Why were these feral dogs attacking the small boy? Had they hurt him terribly? Did this small schoolboy need medical attention, and if he did how could Zaiden help him get the medical attention that he needed? Thousands of questions flooded his mind, all seemingly left without answers.
Zaiden needed a way to distract the dogs so that Jimmy could hastily make his escape. But would it work? The dogs turned, fang and claws at the ready, and faced off with Zaiden. The teenager leaped backwards and fumbled around in his pockets, tossing a handful of Pokeballs from his pocket in a fit of fear. They were staring him dead in the eyes! A strange, feral thought shimmered inside of the dark amber eyes of the wild canines as they growled, hackles raised, and approached Zaiden with their ears folded firmly against the sides of their heads. Were they going to eat him, too? Would they manage to sink their sharp canines into the beige teenager’s flesh and rip him into several small pieces? The Pokeballs bounced and rolled across the ground. Three of them plopped against small rocks and branches in the ground that pressed the small button in their center, sending out three separate Pokemon.
Lóngguī appeared in the flash of a bright light, standing firmly in front of Zaiden with his arms raised at his sides. It only took the blue turtle a few seconds of glancing around to figure out what was going on – given the small child hiding in the trees and Zaiden backing away in terror. “Fear not, trainer!” Lóngguī promises, turning to pump his fists in the air and face off with the hell beasts before him. “These menacing dogs don’t stand a chance against me!” He laughed. Water filled up the turtle’s cheeks, causing his face to puff up. Lóngguī would take aim at the canine on the left, hoping to knock it backwards with the blast of water from his mouth. “I warn you to turn away now, while you still can. Or else, I will have to make you turn away by force!” He warned the canines.
A bright white bird with long strands of purplish-blue ‘hair’ jutting from his crest feathers shot out from the blast of bright red light from the second ball. Kamome flapped his wings and soared up high into the air, then spun around and circled back to the crowd. As he swooped through the air and studied the situation, Kamome would come to his own natural conclusions silently. So, the canines were trying to chase the small child that had gotten himself stuck in a tree? It seemed to be the situation, at least. And now, they were chasing his trainer, with teeth that seemed ready and willing to shred anything that they could sink their fangs in into several pieces. The white seagull would duck into the tree beside the boy, trying to get a decent hiding spot where he could take aim and fire a powerful blast of water, hoping to hit the canine in the center of the pack.
Yarite would be the last to appear, and he would nearly drop down into a skittish ball as he squeaked in terror. Why him?! Why should he be called out into this mess?! He wasn’t a fighter and he definitely didn’t want to risk his life in this hellish battle that seemed to unfurl before him! Yarite dove across the ground and darted behind Zaiden’s feet. He wrapped his arms protectively around Zaiden’s legs for protection and shelter. Zaiden sighed, carefully pushing Yarite off of his legs and pushing him out towards the large, snarling dogs. “Please don’t hurt me!” The water lizard cried as he shook in terror. He would send a pulsating blast of freezing water to the canine on the right, hoping to hit it enough to send it as far away from him as possible.

How appropriate that this should be a quest for happiness, for there is no doubt that the trainer calling out for help was most happy to have had a wonderful guy like Zaiden come to his aid. This teenager, as young as he may be, was just exuding confidence, and speaking as if he knew for a fact, with absolutely no doubt, that he was going to defeat these three houndour. When somebody speaks with the authority behind their words as he did now, it was bound to put just about anybody at ease. Now if only his own pokemon were able to feel that same sort of relief, rather than cry out and have what most would consider to be something akin to a panic attack. But I suppose we can't all be calm and collected, now can we? These three dog pokemon were looking quite ferocious indeed, and the leader, or the one that appeared to be, let out a loud high pitched howl after it had been blasted in the face with that water gun. I only mention this first because it's the first sound that seems to come from the battle, as the water pulse shot off by our little froggie lizard guy there sadly missed the mark. Lucky for the dog if you ask me, and he seemed to think the same, letting loose a noxious gas. While the one on the left did the same as it faced off against the squirtle let loose upon it, that attack also seemed to do absolutely nothing. And the kid that Zaiden is helping? He's stricken, absolutely horified at what's happening. The pokemon he had with him were now hugging one another, huddled up and sobbing, praying that everything would turn out alright. "Please! Please, you have to beat them!" He would have liked to think that Zaiden had this in the bag, but even he realized that this could go terribly wrong. With the fog and everything else, it was difficult to say just what might come of this battle! Or maybe I'm trying to make things sound far more uncertain than they really are. MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Fear seized the young boy’s heart and caused him to freeze in place. The same fear that wrapped around his heart whispered to him inside of his brain. Was Zaiden strong enough to handle these wild dogs and save the lad? He’d managed to be the hero the small child needed when confronted with a Fletchling that loved setting things on fire. But he was still too weak to lead the herd like Kogasu needed, causing her to go rampaging off on her own to prove her point. Could he find the strength he needed in this blind moment to break the bonds that seemed to silently hold him at bay?
The teenager blinked and flexed his fingers at his sides. What should he do in this moment? They dogs needed to be kept far away from the young child and he needed to rush over and save the schoolboy from the treetops above. “Lóngguī.” Words finally broke through the anxiety that seized his heart, though they were unsteady at best. “Lead them away from the tree.” Zaiden nodded towards the black dogs that encircled the base of the large tree. The squirrel-tailed blue turtle puffed up his chest and curled his small hands into tiny fists. He could do that and more! Lóngguī rushed over to the shaking and terrified Sobble and placed on hand on Yarite’s shoulders.
“I know you’re scared, Yarite.” Lóngguī spoke slowly and confidently. He nodded towards the ferocious dogs that encircled them and then to the small child that was trapped in the treetops above. Of course it was a scary thing to confront! Whether they had the type advantage or not wasn’t the scariest part of the whole adventure. It was facing these dangerous hounds and trying to come out of the battle unscathed while simultaneously saving a life. What if they failed? What if they lost the battle and these feral dogs managed to rip and tear them to shreds? There was so much at risk that Lóngguī couldn’t fault Yarite for being afraid. “But bravery doesn’t mean not being afraid. It means facing your fears head on. We’re all a little scared, deep down inside. And you’re not alone.”
Yarite shook and shivered as his skin began to reflexively change colors and allow him to camouflage into his surrounding environment. The blue lizard pressed himself into the small puddle on the ground and shriveled up into a tiny ball with wide, terrified eyes. How could he face these beasts?! His move had missed its mark entirely! He was no fighter – he couldn’t even hit what was clearly in front of him to begin with! “But I…I…” He gulped, shaking like a leaf. Lóngguī nodded and pulled Yarite into a tight embrace. “I understand. But you’re stronger and way more capable than you realize. You’ve got to get out of your head.” Lóngguī commented, tapping the small blue lizard on the center of his forehead. “Focus on that hellhound there and use your Water Pulse. Are you scared? Use that to your advantage by running away and luring it off through the overgrowth of the surrounding forest.”
Kamome shot out of the tree and landed on the ground beside the two. He looked around the surrounding route at all of the thick bushes and tall trees around them. Several of the paths were nearly impossible to maneuver through for even the most experienced of Pokemon. Though, there was a path southwest of them that had a small break between two weeping willows. “Lure them over there.” The white bird pointed with his wings, before shooting up high into the air and flying off down the path. “Yarite can dart between the long branches of the willow tree for cover. Lóngguī, you can keep them occupied on you with your sharp tongue. I will fly up into the tree and try to pick them off with my Water Gun from above.” Yarite smiled thoughtfully.
And so, it was in this way that the three water types would call out to their opponents – with Lóngguī shouting, “Come and get us, you mean ole’ dogs!”, Yarite screeching inconsolably as he darted around the long, swinging ‘vine-like’ branches of the weeping willow, and Kamome shooting up to duck up inside of its canopy above – that they would try to lure their opponents away from the schoolboy. Zaiden watched nervously, hoping this would work and give him the space he needed to dart over to Jimmy’s rescue.

Hadn't Jimmy been so scared he would probably have cheered Zaiden on, but even in his panicked state he could feel a bit of hope simply because someone had come to save him from the hellhounds. Had he been less panicked he might have realized or remembered that the dogs were part fire types and that Zaiden had some pretty good cards on his hand when he had sent three strong water types up against them. Getting the attention of the houndours wasn't going to be a problem, they had gotten it already and for the hungry pack it was natural to go for the prey which offered themselves like this, even if it fought back, rather than go for one which was out of reach for now. Havoc narrowed his eyes as he calculated the new arrivals, they wouldn't be easy to get down but they were desperate and he barked some orders for the others and they all advanced as Zaiden's pokemon spent some time encouraging each other like they had all the time in the world. Havoc grinned when he heard the pokemon lay a plan, stupid water types, did they really think their opponents were deaf? "You are right where you want you!" The leader of the pack snarled and Abyss lunged at Yarite, his teeth snapping the air where the sobble had been a moment ago. While Yarite had been encouraged by the others talk it wasn't enough to keep his focus on aiming and the water pulse he sent at Abyss missed by a mile. "Go for the leader!" Havoc reminded his fellows and turned only to be hit by a water gun in the back from the bird and crumble on the ground. The two other houndours froze a moment, unable to decide how to continue with no leader to guide them, but then they both began to spew smog in all directions in a frantic attempt to protect themselves and hit their opponents. Helena whimpered when Longui hold it together and shot her down with another water gun, leaving a panicked Abyss on his own. How had things turned around this swiftly? It snarled fearfully as Longui and Kamome fought the poison in their veins. Jimmy barely dared to believe what his eyes told him, perhaps he was really getting out of this alone? His pokemon cheered from the sideline, relieved to see two of the hellhounds having been brought down already. MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Zaiden turned to Jimmy and studied the sturdy branch that the small schoolboy clung to for dear life. He needed to get Jimmy out of the tree safely. Would the schoolboy listen to the older beige teenager and trust that he was here to help him out? Zaiden waved to Jimmy and coughed to clear his throat. "Hey..." Zaiden called out to Jimmy as he lifted his hands up over his head and motioned for Jimmy to jump to him. Should Jimmy trust Zaiden, the teenager would lower his arms enough to position them properly so that he would be prepared to catch the small child. "Can you jump? To me?" He asked the small lad.
Longgui smirked as one of the black dogs called him the leader. Clearly, they understood who the real threat within the group was. The fluffy tailed Squirtle pumped his fists triumphantly in the air. "That's right, I'm the leader." Longgui spoke up bravely. How could this wild canine understand how their 'pack' truly operated? It barked and growled it's commands angrily at its partners with barely any regard for their lives. Longgui was a leader out of necessity. His team depended on him to protect them and keep them safe. "And I'm a better leader than you will ever be!" He huffed angrily.
Longgui rushed over to Yarite and placed a hand on the skittish lizard's back. The poor Pokemon was shaking and shivering with wild, frightful eyes that searched everywhere around them. Yarite was so lost to his own emotions that he couldn't hear what Longgui was trying to tell him. Yarite gulped as he stared up and realized that he'd missed his mark. "I...failed...I-I'm....so sorry..." Yarite flustered and turned away to bury his head in his hands. Why were they even putting up with him? He obviously wasn't very good at this. He was holding them back by constantly firing away as though he were as blind as a Zubat. "You deserve a be...better team... mate..." Yarite cried anxiously.
Kamome cawed loudly as he stretched out his wings and shot up into the air like a bullet being fired from its gun. Yarite couldn't handle the pressure - that much was clear. They needed a better strategy to help their terrified friend manage to hit his opponents and become stronger in his own belief of himself. Kamome thought heavily about what they could do to help while he soared through the clouds in the heavens above, then spun around to dive back down to the ground below. "That's definitely not true." Longgui corrected Yarite with a firm look. "We wouldn't be a team without you. You just need to find your own faith in yourself." He stated firmly.
Kamome tapped his wing on Longgui's back then pointed to Yarite, and finally pointed to the remaining Houndour. He whispered to Longgui in a low tone under his breath, explaining the plan. Longgui perked up as he glanced at the spaces between the trees behind the wild Houndour, and over to the bushes around Houndour's sides. It was a bold and brass plan. If they weren't careful, it could cause their friend to be in as much pain as Longgui felt from the poisons that flooded his veins. After thinking it over for some time, Longgui would agree with a firm nod of his head. "When I say 'now', blast your Water Pulse attack!" Longgui instructed Yarite, before dropping on all fours and running through the wild grasses towards the Houndour's side. Kamome shot back up into the air and dived behind the Houndour.
"Hey puppy! What's up?" Kamome called out to the wild dog before firing a blast of water towards it from behind. Longgui would jump out of a thick bush from the side shouting, "Now!" He would fire a powerful blast of water hoping to hit the canine in its face. Yarite jumped up high as he shot out a powerful wave of water in turn.

With Zaiden having stepped in as a hero and saved more than just the day, he had saved Jimmy's life it was no wonder that the kid was ready to trust anything the teenager said. Jimmy would have no trouble trusting to jump down into Zaiden's arms, even if Zaiden didn't catch him, he had still saved him from the hellhounds. Also Jimmy wasn't that high up in the tree, he had been able to jump and reach it from the ground after all, later he'd be amazed he had been able to pull himself up and wonder where that strength came from. "But the houndours!" He protested as he refused to let go of the branch which had saved him. He had no trouble trusting Zaiden but he was too scared of the hounds and what if the remaining one broke away from the trainer's pokemon and attacked him again? It was good Zaiden's pokemon had gotten the number of opponents down to one nervous hellhound, otherwise they probably wouldn't have time to chat among themselves and make up a risky plan. The remaining houndour nervously tripped around not wanting to leave its comrade behind but also didn't dare facing the three water types on its own, it was keenly aware that they outmatched it by miles. It got distracted a moment when the other two houndours stirred and it looked hopefully at them, then it yelp and jumped when Longguí shouted at it and Kamome dived down behind it. The squirtle was way too far away to reach the dog, his water gun only got about half way before it splashed on the ground. The houndour leaped forward before Kamome got a chance to fire his attack, Yarite seemed like an easy target with how nervous he was and that he had missed several times. It leaped forward and spew out a purple cloud of the same type which had paralyzed the other two, Yarite reacted fast and the water dripping orb he shot through smog and blasted the hellhound high into the air and over the treetops. Loud crashing sounds made it clear it got anything but a soft landing. When they looked they would see the two other houndours sneak off in the hope of going unnoticed, none of them moved towards where the third had disappeared and they didn't go together as well. Seemed to be the end of that pack. With the scary dogs finally away Jimmy had no trouble getting down from the tree, after he spent a moment looking to be sure they were not coming back. If Zaiden was still waiting for him to jump down, he would attempt to jump into his rescuers arms, otherwise he'd made a more slow decent as he crawled down from the branch. "Thanks you so much!" Jimmy cried out and would hug Zaiden while burying his face into his hero's shirt and staining it with tears, and probably snot as well. "Thank you! Thank you! I was sure they'd bite me and.. and.." He couldn't say, had a hard time really believing that it might have been his last hour and that a pokemon could have tried to kill him. He pulled away from Zaiden a bit to look up at his rescuer, then he began to fumble with his pockets and he pulled out a little bell with a nice chime which he showed into Zaiden's hands. "I... want you to have this," he declared while sniffling and then he fell to his knees to hug his three young pokemon who had come over to him. "Please Hero, do you want one of my pokemon? I'd.. I'd like to give you something for saving me, and.. and they are not strong as yours but they are good pokemon and.. and I'm sure you'd make them awesome!" He looked at Zaiden with awe as his three young pokemon turned to face the teenager as well, looking curiously up at him. Longguí watched the battle end and grows (2/3+2/3+2/3) 2 levels to [Lv 15]! He can learn Water Pulse if he forgets another move! He also gains +1 Happiness! (+1) He'll have 28/42 HP after level up, and is still poisoned.Kamome did a lot of the work and grows (3/3+3/3+3/3)+1 4 levels to [Lv 14]! (Lucky egg) He also gains +1 Happiness! (+1) He'll have 32/39 HP after level up, and is still poisoned.Yarite pulled through in the end and grows (2/3+2/3+2/3) 2 levels to [Lv 15]! He also gains +1 Happiness! (+1) Itachi watched closely and grows +2 levels to [Lv 3]! (Exp. share and multiplier) Jimmy is near tears by gratefulness and urges you to take one of his baby pokemon with you as a thank you gift. He also gives you a Soothe Bell The houndours has run off in three different directions! Left, right and center. Do you want to follow them, or are you content with having saved the life of Jimmy?(ooc: didn't make any difference here but Longui's water gun can only hit adjacent targets and therefore cannot reach the remaining houndour.)

MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Jimmy protested against jumping in Zaiden’s arms at first. The mousy-brown haired teenager frowned and studied the small lad in the tree for a second, then turned back to the remaining nervous fire canine as his Pokemon worked their watery charms on silencing the worst of its fierce personality. He wasn’t really built for persuasion. What could Zaiden say to help ease the other lad’s mind? Even if he promised that his Pokemon had this fight in the bag, would that be enough? And how could Zaiden make such a lavish promise when anything could still happen that might change the course of the fight? He just needed to convinced Jimmy to come down from the tree and to trust that he wouldn’t let anything hurt him, after all! “It’ll…be ok…” Zaiden gulped and fought back his own insecurities to proclaim this, even if his voice was a bit wavering.
Then Jimmy jumped into his arms and took Zaiden back completely. He easily caught the schoolboy and held onto him tightly, before helping him stand up on the ground beside him. Given the fight at hand and the risks of letting Jimmy jump down on his own, Zaiden hadn’t really felt comfortable letting the small child risk it even if the branch wasn’t too terribly high off the ground. “There you go…see? No more Houndour.” Zaiden raised two hands up and gestured towards the quickly retreating forms of the canines down the various pathways. Though, why had they attacked to begin with? Zaiden would have assumed that they were all from the same pack…but then why would they each take off in different directions?
More questions etched their ways on the back of Zaiden’s mind. He wanted to make sense of it all, but the small child caused Zaiden’s feet to freeze up where he stood. He stared down with his arms stretched out at his side and hovering just an inch away from Jimmy as the small child wrapped his own arms around Zaiden’s body. When Jimmy buried his head into Zaiden’s chest/stomach and coated his T-shirt with snot-infused tears, Zaiden nervously wrapped his arms loosely around Jimmy and simply hugged him. “Hey…hey…really. It’s…it’s no problem…” Zaiden struggled to find the words to speak and stumbled over his words. He’d allow Jimmy to take all the time he needed crying into his chest and simply rub the small boy’s back with his hands gently to try to soothe him. “I’m just glad I saved you.” Zaiden smiled.
When Jimmy offered him the Soothe Bell and one of his Pokemon, Zaiden blinked in confusion. Was the boy making ill-prepared plans in his haste to try to come to terms with his own trauma? Should Zaiden take one of his Pokemon, given this fact? The schoolboy had undoubtedly experienced a very traumatic moment, so it was arguable that the small child might not be thinking things through too clearly. He needed a pediatric therapist right now – not the chance to give away his Pokemon to the first person that came waltzing along on the pathways that led to his own rescue. “Thank you…I’m Zaiden. Are you sure, though?” Zaiden nodded towards Jimmy’s Pokemon and only after the schoolboy insisted, Zaiden would accept his offer and agree to take the Chingling.
“Thank you, Jimmy. I’m sure your Pokemon is strong enough to join my team.” Zaiden winked and turned to the small Pokemon with a bright smile. But he would immediately turn and pull out some medicinal supplies that he passed around to his Pokemon, aiming to heal them up and help cure the poisons that pumped through their veins. Now…Zaiden definitely wanted to see why the dogs all ran off as quickly as they did. “I really…should see what they’re running too…” Zaiden stated a bit underneath his breath. He excused himself and turned to set off down one of the pathways where the grounds seemed to be covered in strange tracks. What would he find along the way and what did he think the wild canines were even running towards? Would he only run into even more wild dogs that wanted to bite and mangle anything they could get ahold of?
OOC: Taking Chingling. Longgui forgets Water Gun and learns Water Pulse! Using Full Heal on Longgui & Full Heal on Kamome! Also yeah, just felt weird to say Longgui is just ambling around given his personality, though. xD Not Self-Updating the items so they can be confirmed.

After having witnessed the way in which the trainer took on all three of the houndour and successfully defeated them, the chingling was absolutely thrilled to be taken by him. There was no doubt that it would one day evolve into a mighty chimecho, ready to blast its foes with amazing psychic power! Until then, however, it was really hoping to find itself being treated with the utmost of kindness. It was really important that all young pokemon were taken care of with a good amount of it after all. Plus if we're all to be honest here, I think we can agree that a little more of it in the world would be a really good thing. "Please do be careful!" Jimmy called out, biting his lower lip as his hero seemed eager to chase after the dog pokemon. "I know you already beat them and all, but you never know what they're running to. Perhaps their momma or something!" Such a thought sent a shiver down the boy's spine, wondering how much worse things could have gone if he had actually run into her. "And unless you're packing a bunch of pokemon that are evolved as well, I'm not so sure you'd be able to take a houndoom on. They're pretty dang scary."But of course there was nothing he could really do to stop Zaiden from moving ahead, in an effort to track down the pokemon that had previously put this trainer into a panic. He was going to march on anyway, and soon find himself in a bit of a puzzle. You see, there are more than just a few pokemon tracks on the ground. And if that's all he has to go off of, which sadly is the case, then he's going to have to figure out which prints he should be following. While I am sure that he's smart enough to eliminate a few of them right off the bat, it's still plausible that he might end up following the wrong ones. And if he did that, what were the chances he could come back, find the right ones, and successfully follow them to the houndour? By that point they all very well may have run off to an area that wasn't muddy enough to leave any tracks. But at least we don't have to worry about a possibility of them swimming across rivers or anything, right? They're fire types, so that doesn't seem too likely... Which tracks will the boy end up deciding on following though?

MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
The mousy brown haired teenager rushed through the dense forest. Prickly branches snagged at his shirt and cut his arms as Zaiden pushed them out of his way and darted in between thick bramblebushes. The rocks underfoot were sharp and pressed against the soles of his shoes, feeling as though they would tear through them to find the bit of flesh on the bottom side of his feet. He endured the pain of the forest, ripping and tearing away at his muscular body that was still stuck somewhere between a man and a child through the metamorphosis of adolescence, as his heart raced inside of his chest and felt as though it would leap out onto the ground to run away from him. His eyes widened with fear and searched sporadically in different directions, trying to find any signed of the wild dogs, such as tufts of hair that may have been left behind on the bushes.
Zaiden stopped when he noticed the pile of tracks all heading in different directions. He crouched down on the ground and tapped the earth beneath him with two fingers to test each of the tracks and see if he could determine how fresh they were. Was that a thing? Zaiden was sure back home he’d witnessed countless ‘survivalist’ do exactly that in the wilderness that were too far away from any sort of civilization. Yet, he was still too new and inexperienced. This meant that he would need to carefully examine each one and try to discover which of the footprints would lead him to the wild dogs that wreaked havoc on the schoolboy not too long ago and nearly tried to devour his own Pokemon. Were they just wild and hungry? Or was there more to the story?
As he examined them, Zaiden’s mind raced back to Jimmy and their last conversation before he darted off through the thick overgrowth to try and track the beasts down one by one. “Pretty scary…yeah.” He noted his reply to the schoolboy probably sounded less confident than he meant it to, upon his own self-reflection. “We’ll be ok” Zaiden had gulped out that reply, chugging down the mixed emotions like eating a stale and very dry biscuit without anything to drink. Now here he was, comparing notes on the footprints that were carefully packed into the earthen ground underfoot. But which one could it be?
A few had the tell-tale sign of a bird’s foot – with the three splayed toes and thin connective part of the foot. Some seemed to have no feet at all or were almost like large, round circles. And a few were just way too big to be a Houndour’s foot. Or at least, Zaiden was sure they must have been too big…right? These dogs were barely the height of Zaiden’s waist, while some of the tracks were nearly as large as his own foot! Zaiden furrowed his eyebrows together and scratched underneath his chin as he mentally tried to process each individual paw step that he could find. He tried to put himself mentally in their footsteps to imagine what their foot must have looked like – were their legs thick or thin, would they have needed long legs or short legs to carry their weight – and tried to see which sets had so many steps that they must have been made by quadrupedal Pokemon.
After a long time spent deliberating on the matter at hand, Zaiden finally sighed a deep breath of relief and turned down one path whose paws still seemed so small with three tell-tale toes jutting out of their circular pad-like shape. Surely this was the correct one, right?
OOC: Thanks! Also, don't forget to provide the fill-out code for the new Pokemon. Though I can get Chingling for myself in this case, it's more of a reminder in case you mod for a member who doesn't have access to Les Secrets. CHOOSING PATH B3!

Ah, yes, the joys of having all of the pertinent information at one's fingertips. Not to mention, I suppose, all of the potential gaming guides one might have to go through within the archives. So to speak, of course. This mod surely must express his regret at having forgotten the code of Zaiden's newest pokemon. One that is actually one of my favorites, having always been a fan of the adorable psychic chimecho. But I digress! Although it wasn't nightfall exactly, it was soon getting darker the more that Zaiden followed the prints. Trees pressed in all around them, and there were even sounds of hooting up above, all around him. He actually would have been able to swear that he saw a gigantic ursaring, ready to crash down upon him, but upon further inspection was quick to realize that it was nothing more than a fallen branch. One shaped oddly, yes, but the fact that it wasn't moving should have been all he needed to realize that it was most definitely not a large pokemon ready to attack. But he couldn't help it.. it was just a little scary! Plus he still didn't know what exactly was waiting for him... More sounds up ahead, these ones not at all comforting. They were a bit high pitched and... kind of whiny. But as he moved closer, Zaiden would be able to figure out that they were definitely the sounds of some pups. Of course that was kind of odd, given that the houndours that he had battled weren't exactly puppies. That's not to say that they didn't come from this area, though. And it did suggest that he was following the right set of tracks! Finally, he came upon what was going on, and it was a sight enough to make most people's stomachs drop. The largest of the group, undoubtedly the mother of the younglings surrounding her, had been caught in a trap. And I'm not talking about one of those box on a stick things either, as that wouldn't have been able to keep her down. No... this was one of those very inhumane traps of steel, with teeth that cut into ones limbs if they were trapped in it. And indeed, had he been able to get close enough, he would have been able to see that this trap was definitely doing a decent amount of damage to the poor dog. There was some blood where it was cutting into her. But perhaps the saddest part was the way that the pups were whining and nudging at her, as if trying to coax her into freeing herself so that she could take them away from here. Of course, she wasn't going to be able to do that on her own, and her puppies were far too young to be able to really try prying the trap's jaws apart. "Hey! You! Get away from there! I caught those houndour, and they're mine now!"One despicable human being (or monster, if you prefer, as I certainly do) stepped into view, his eyes glaring at Zaiden, as if to say that he was absolutely furious with him. And whatever for? For perhaps showing some kind of compassion? Well now, what is young Zaiden's response to this I wonder? Hunter Travis has approached!

MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
The surrounding forest was strange. Long, spindly branches shot out in odd directions, always clamoring for something unseen and in the distance. Large shadows danced between the thick foliage that sprung from the wild branches around him. The young teenager pushed several branches out of his way and cried out when one of the prickly ones snagged his arms, cutting into the skin. Though most were mere flesh wounds that barely scratched at the surface, a few pushed small droplets of crimson red liquids up from the deeper recesses of his body. The pain pulsated from the fresh wounds and caused Zaiden to curse just underneath his breath as he followed the path towards some unknown and unforeseen destination.
Then a tall shadow loomed ahead. It was a beastly sight to behold and stood as tall as Zaiden, with looming red eyes and snarling white daggers that seemed ready to swallow him whole. Zaiden yelped out in surprise and stumbled backwards. He tripped over a thick root and fell on the ground. Fearful of the powerful bear that stood in his way, the young trainer grasped all about himself until he managed to free one of the Pokeballs on his belt. He could hear the Ursaring’s heavy breathing as it stalked through the forest, breaking limb after limb that stood in its way. And as Zaiden closed his eyes tight and cowered underneath his hands to hide his face, a bright red light burst forth from the Pokeball and took the shape of his bravest comrade in arms yet. The squirrel tailed blue reptile stood bravely and stomped both of his feet on the ground while puffing out his chest.
“Fear not, my trainer!” Lóngguī's voice was full of promise as he stared down the beast whose sharp red gaze stared back at him. The soft whir of hooting in the trees above spun around and blended until they became sharp cries of alarm. Fear swelled from the belly of the wildlands around them, and it bred profusely with the anxiety that clung to the young man’s heart. “This beast will not lay a single claw on your head! I will give my very last breath inside of my body to ensure this!” The Squirtle’s words rang full of truth and ambition. Lóngguī's cheeks puffed up as water filled his mouth and he fired it at the powerful bear, only to completely soak a strange looking branch instead.
Zaiden slowly peeked out from underneath his arms. Was the beast surely defeated at the hands of his Pokemon, or would it come back with a vengeance? Zaiden’s wide gaze blinked slowly and surely, while studying the powerful creature only to realize that it was not a bear but discarded plant matter. He laughed and lifted himself up to dust himself off as the two ‘glowing red eyes’ opened their tough shells to shed two thin translucent wings each and flew away in a quick hurry. The ladybugs didn’t seem to appreciate Lóngguī's preemptive bath that he had offered him. What kind of fool would have mistaken a dead log and some thick branches entangled in each other to be a wild bear? “That’s…embarrassing…” Zaiden admitted, then nodded for them to continue their trek through the woods as they followed the trail on the ground.
Lóngguī tilted his head to listen to Zaiden’s words, then nodded firmly. Indeed, it was quite the embarrassing moment for him as well. The sounds of howling and pain soon caught their attention, though, and Zaiden and Lóngguī rushed to see what the commotion was. Though, the image of the poor black dog trapped inside of a bear trap caused Zaiden’s heart to jump up into his heart and seize itself on the spot. He gasped loudly, then rushed over to try to help free the mother dog from the trap, though careful to jump away every time she might try to lung at him. It was the poacher that caught his attention soon after, though. “This isn’t how you…catch Pokemon…” Zaiden gulped deafly as Lóngguī jumped out in front of him and pumped his hands angrily in the air. “I’ll show you to hurt another Pokemon!” Lóngguī fired a long blast of pulsating water in Travis’ direction, hoping to knock the trainer off his feet.

The houndour mother was not ready to trust a human near her or her pups, especially not when in pain and trapped, and definitely not from a human whom she had just battled and lost to, the one who had denied her the food she desperately needed to feed her pups with. To her he meant nothing but trouble and hard times and she was not pleased to see him around, and definitely not trying to get close to her, so she would snap at him and not hold back if she should manage to get hold of him. The sound of footsteps and another human's voice caught the mother's attention and she growled agitated when the poacher stepped in, he stank of pokemon in fear and dirt. Her pups whimpered and crowded in a clump behind her as they smelled the fear which drifted off her, while not understanding a thing of what was happening. The poacher continued forward straight towards Zaiden and only slowed down when the boy hesitantly spoke up. He roared with laughter as he continued forwards ignoring Lónggui, "what do you mean boy? It's not going anywhere so they are rather caught up, don't you say?" He grinned maliciously, "they are going to bring me a good price, especially the pups, adorable little ones right?"He continued to walk briskly forward and would have almost have reached Zaiden by now, "when it comes to you, I'm afraid you have seen too much. I'm sorry, it's nothing personal but.." He got interrupted by a water gun to the face which got into both nose and mouth. He stumbled back coughing and wheezing, "you little!"A quick movement of his hand and a pokeball flew through the air to release a sleek, black and long clawed pokemon. The sneasel took in the scene and sniggered as he rolled his eyes at the sight of his opponents. "Get *cough* ready to *cough* scratch..." The poacher tried to order but couldn't get the words out just yet, the sneasel narrowed its eyes and looked for all the soft spots in between the squirtle's hard shell. It raised its arms to take the worst of the water which got blasted at it, "you look silly, waddling around like a newly hatched!" It sniggered at Lónggui. MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
The young teenager’s dark brown eyes widened in fear. He gasped as sharp fangs snapped at his hands and jumped out of the way several times. Zaiden couldn’t let the mother and her pups simply suffer, though! Zaiden bit the bottom of his lips and tried again, where the mother’s long fangs managed to snatch part of his arm. He fought and struggled against her sharp snout, and immediately rushed over to his bag to wrap up his arm in a tight tourniquet as soon as he managed to break free. Pain radiated from his arms and the white cloth that he had secured tightly around his arm tinted along the edges with a soft pink sheen that hinted at the wound it hid underneath.
Even though his arm ached with pain and even though the Houndour wasn’t going to allow him to help her anytime soon, Zaiden was thankful that the damage down wasn’t too critical. However, he would have to rely on his canine’s capabilities at least for the time being, until he could properly dress his wound. Could he call the police to come deal with this culprit? Would the poacher simply move on his merry way down the trail with all of the pups and the captured female canine before they could arrive? There were so many things that Zaiden had to consider, and none of the bravery that he needed to fully explore them in their complexity. “This is…wrong…” He fumbled over his words and gulped. He stood firmly in place as he fought the urge to turn around and run in the other direction. He couldn’t give up now! “Money isn’t everything…you know…”
Though Zaiden had spent a long time chasing after enough funds to help his parents out. How could he say that money wasn’t everything, when he chased after it in his own way? At least Zaiden’s method was true and pure – nothing like this evil poacher’s method of trying to terrorize and torture the wildlife, just to capture the rarest things he could find to pawn off at the highest price tag he could fetch. No, Zaiden was doing things ethically and morally sound. He could at least rest easy knowing that much. Plus, he hated how important money seemed to be in his parent’s world where it could literally cost them their entire livelihoods – their home, their jobs, everything! There had to be more for those that needed it most! “Lóngguī use Water Pulse again.”
Lóngguī tilted his head curiously as he studied the strange looking black cat. “Why would you defend such an evil and heartless man? Do you see how much pain he is causing this poor mother and her young pups?!” The brave squirrelly tailed turtle couldn’t believe that any Pokemon would want to defend such a horrendous and heinous act. Lóngguī was very concerned with Zaiden’s hand. Though he wanted to personally confront the female Houndour for causing his trainer such pain, he couldn’t overlook the pain and torture that this poacher was putting the mother dog through. This black cat-like Pokemon with its bright red feathers seemed somewhat childish in the way it mocked Lóngguī and tried to dig at him underneath his skin. He shot a powerful blast of water at Travis’ Snigger, hoping to slap the Sneasel in its face with his attack to try and teach it a valuable lesson. “I won’t simply overlook this cruelty! You can either choose to reject your trainer’s cruel ways or suffer your just deserts along with him!” Lóngguī snapped angrily and threatened his opponent.
OOC: Lóngguī uses Water Pulse again! It was Water Pulse and not Water Gun last round, but your math checks out Tarlar. I assume you just didn't change the name of the move on the battle screen?
