MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
The young teen’s dark eyebrow furrowed as he cast a firm glance at Rod. He couldn’t stand this young man and his harsh manners. He also fought against his own inner self, who felt the weight of confrontation weighing heavily on his chest like a python squeezing the life out of his body. He gulped with his hands shoved into the pockets of his denim jeans and cast a wayward glance over towards his thin white seagull, who seemingly chased the cat all about a large tree curiously enough. What was Kamome up to? The teen could barely follow and wondered if the Tapu Gull was simply burning off some excess fuel he had pent up inside of his feathers.
“What does it matter?” The words came crashing against the shoreline of Zaiden’s tongue, like the ravenous waves of choppy seas slamming against the sides of a boat. They cursed in more ways than one, though he tempered his voice to remain cool and calm. “You don’t care.” He nodded towards the Houndour, then more daringly nodded towards Princess. There was no doubt in Zaiden’s mind that if this young coordinator was left to his own devices and the Glameow failed him as well, Rod would show it the same ‘kindness’ that he was currently showing the Houndour. “May Karma bless you.” He scoffed, turning his attention back to the fight at hand.
Kamome laughed with a loud caw as he swooped through the air above the wily steel grey cat. Princess’ attitude only tickled the bird. Seeing her seemingly spin about and attack herself helped his cause more. Though, the wild bird fretted that by attacking so close to the wild feline, he would put himself at greater risk of being on the receiving end of her attacks. “All’s fair in love and war, darling!” Kamome stated, while darting up into the branches of the weeping willow and continued working at the branch while carefully glancing back at Princess from time to time. “And what about you attacking a weakened canine? That’s not cowardly?” He asked earnestly.
“Kamome, Water Gun.” Zaiden bit his lower lip and sighed a deep breath of air. Would this help or hinder him further from his goal? He had to try and hurry this along if he wanted to apprehend this character. But…he also needed proof, didn’t he? “Do you…allow your Pokemon to attack each other…? Your Princess…is pretty mean…to Houndour…” He stumbled over his words, braving his anxieties to speak more fully. Maybe Rod would apologize? Maybe he would explain his doings more fully and correct his feline properly? Zaiden was working off a ‘hunch’ that someone else had informed him about, after all. What if they were both wrong about this ‘hunch’? Kamome smirked and spat large gulps of water at the furry feline, hoping to hit her enough to successfully drench her.
OOC: Kamome's level should be 14 not 15. The damage is a bit off given, by at least 1 point (19/39 should be the minimum) but I'mma use an item to reset us! ^_^ Self-Updating -1 Super Potion [8 left] & Kamome is using Water Gun!

"Don't care? Don't care about what?" Rod demanded to know, he followed Zaiden's glance at the houndour but it didn't ring a bell of what the problem could be. He frowned when Zaiden gestured to his two pokemon, then he scoffed. "Of course I care! Otherwise I wouldn't have pokemon and train them so hard so that we can win, what is your point?" he snapped annoyed, "you might not care one bit about contests but I do, I want us to do good which is why I care about my routines and won't accept you coming here and snatching them from me!"His eyes widened and he threw out his arms in exasperation, "Bless me?! I don't need any karma, I'm doing fine on my own!"Rod glared at Zaiden but the teenager was not easy to drag words out from, better just get him down and make sure he hadn't taken too much of his plans and tactics for the next contest. Otherwise he'd had to start all over and some lazy snorlax would use his ideas to try win ribbons, that wasn't fair. Princess hissed frustrated as she looked up in the tree and the laughing birds, she really got reminded why it was she hated birds in the first place. Always so cocky and feeling above everyone else just because they could fly and stay out of reach. "I don't attack my partner!" She hissed, "I help train him and put him in his place when he's unruly! He has just run off in the middle of the training and last time he did that he scared a whole suburb because he for some reason think he needs to sneak into people's homes and jump at them! Believe me, I have tried to talk with him, but he won't listen!"Kamome finally left the tree briefly to join Zaiden and get some healing, and the cat was ready. She managed to see through her confusion and leaped at the bird and managed to get several scratches in before Kamome blasted her away with a strong Water gun and escaped to the sky again. Rod stared dumbfounded at Zaiden, "my pokemon don't attack each other unless they train, that's no difference from any other battle." He narrowed his eyes when he realized that Zaiden might have seen his training of the houndour a moment ago and that he might have seen it wrongly. "If you are thinking about just now, that wasn't attacking. Houndour is a ***** who only listens to a strong hand and Princess needs to keep him in check. He has just returned after having been missing and I'm sure he's done something awful so I was letting him know that is not tolerated," she said coldly. Trainer Battle Weather: Chinook [+1SPD land] [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Princess LV 10 HP 9% [3/32]
[attr="class","qkt-wild-imgbox"] [attr="class","qkt-pkmn-img"] [attr="class","qkt-trainer-pkmn"] Kamome LV 14 HP 56% [22/39]

SP37 Princess used Scratch! SP33 Kamome used Water Gun!
Note: Doriru participated, running shoes exhausted. (ooc: whoops, a bit too many errors from me being lazy and copying the template from another battle. Isn't a Super Potion a bit of an overkill when Kamome only lacks 20 HP? I'm fine with you using a Potion instead of a Super Potion, it would still bring him to max level XD)

MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
Zaiden’s rich brown eyes studied Rod as he scrunched up his nose and furrowed his brows so tightly together that deep wrinkles formed along his head. How could this coordinator care about his Pokemon if he was willing to pressure them into bullying each other just to try and win the fight? “It attacked a schoolboy.” Zaiden changed the subject, although briefly, as he gestured back to Rod’s canine. Could this kid be as useless and careless about his own Pokemon that he allowed them to wreak havoc? The Pokemon ran in a pack with two other Houndour – one of which was a mother trying to find a meal for her pups it seemed – and the third of which Zaiden hadn’t yet learned what happened to it.
“Bullying and starvation shows you care?” The beige teenager took a brave step closer in the snowy ground and steadied himself as its slippery surface caused his sneakers to slide. It seemed to help the steel grey feline race across the slick terrain at a faster speed, from what little Zaiden could tell. Though he couldn’t be too sure of that personally, he just guessed so. Princess looked weaker now and Zaiden wondered if they only needed one more attack to really seal her fate. “Kamome, Quick Attack.” He instructed with a firm glance up into the long branches of the sweeping trees around him until he spotted his bird fluttering in between them.
Kamome nodded firmly and landed on the branch he’d been working at the entire time. He pecked and prodded at the last strands of the bark, until they broke away, causing the branch to come cascading down to the ground below, hopefully with enough force to pin the grey cat in place so that she couldn’t hurt the poor Houndour further. Though, just before Kamome would attempt such a brave feat, he would shoot out of the trees and hover in long circles over Princess’ head, trying to lure her underneath the tall weeping willow. Kamome would even try to ram Princess in her side a few times, to help lure her in the right direction.
“He ran off and attacked a little schoolboy. Even chased him up a tree! My trainer had to fight your Houndour friend here, and two others, off to save him!” Kamome scoffed at Princess’ words as he landed on a branch and folded his wings up at his side. How was this cruelty supposed to teach her friend anything? Clearly, if its own partner would attack the Houndour, why would it be expected to act any differently around others? “It acts as though its starving. What are you even feeding it? Look how scared it is now!” He continued incredulously. Kamome turned his beady black eyes upon the Houndour and gestured towards the forests behind them as if to encourage the poor pup to run away while it still could.
Zaiden shook his head more firmly and took another step closer as he flared his nostrils. “That’s abusive. It’s definitely not training.” Zaiden reaffirmed his own belief. He immediately pulled out his phone and dialed the hotline to try and summon some professional help onto the scene. Although Officer Jenny might have been busy with the Poacher, Zaiden could hope that another officer on the force would be available to take this call. Right? “You need to learn how to treat your Pokemon better. Even in battles, we don’t push them past their breaking points! They may be powerful but they can still feel pain!” He snapped while biting down on his lower lip angrily.
OOC: I wasn't sure if more HP might also have been lost since there's a 1-16 amount usually and wanted to give us a full bar to help reset everything. But sure, we can just use a Potion to do that xD! Kamome uses Quick Attack. If battle ends, I'd like to use Multiplier on Itachi.

"WHAT?!" Rod exclaimed and whipped around to face the houndour who whimpered and pressed itself closer to the ground. "What where you thinking?! No wait, you NEVER think! Crazy dog! You are in big trouble now! Going into trash and chasing mareeps for fun is one thing, but attacking a CHILD?! That's unacceptable!" He shouted and then turned back to Zaiden with flaring nostrils. "See what I'm dealing with?" he said exasperated, "I think I might need to give up on it, although I fear its too dangerous to just find a new home."He frowned at what Zaiden said next, "no?" he said confused as he didn't think he did any of it. Houndour and Princess were both on strict diets but they were made professionally and had all the nutrients they needed, and he was not bullying anything, just teaching a unruly pokemon some manners. He groaned when Zaiden stubbornly continued to claim he was too harsh on his pokemon, it was so annoying with trainers who simply didn't want to listen to reason. He stared unimpressed as Zaiden seemed to try act all tough. "Are you really trying to threaten me?" He said disbelieving and rolled his eyes, "I don't have to prove anything to you, you aren't listening to what I'm saying anyway. This is not a cute little skitty you can cuddle with! It just attacked a child for Arceus' sake! It's a wild beast whom you need to keep a close on and who only listen to a pack leader, and you need to show it you are that leader!" He snapped, and then threw his arms out exasperated. "Why do I even bother, you won't understand anyway."Princess hissed and stomped the ground, "that's why he needs to be put in place and taught its not acceptable!" She whipped her tail frustrated, "what do you want us to do? let him run free and do even more damage to whatever he runs into?!"She jumped back and out of the way of the branch falling, she wasn't that confused, and hissed again. "He gets a full bowl every day! I have never heard him complain about being hungry, he's just a terrorizing little brat who has no respect for authorities and runs off to break rules just because he can!"She whipped her tail some more and growled quietly, "he better be scared, perhaps he can then understand how that poor kid felt when he chased him up into a tree!"Kamome didn't get to chase Princess anywhere, she tried to leap at him but he slammed into her and flung her to the ground where she lost consciousness. She wouldn't be able to hurt anyone for quite some time, if Kamome found it necessary, he could probably try drag the branch over to pin her under it. Rod groaned again and a cheer was heard from nearby, which made the coordinator narrowed his eyes as he scanned the area. "Congratulations, you have won the battle although I don't know what you think you have proved with that," Rod said sarcastically, "what now? Do you want to take a swing of me yourself to show me violence isn't the way?""Sounds like my cue, what happens next is that I'm putting your under arrest. You have the right to remain silence and will be given a layer for free. Please come with me willingly," Officer Jenny said as she stepped out from where she had been watching. Rod stared speechless for a heartbeat but was quick to get his wits back. "Arrested?! For what? I haven't done anything wrong!" He exclaimed, "wait, are you believing what this guy says too?! I do feed my pokemon, otherwise they woulnd't be able to compete!" He protested loudly. Officer Jenny shot a glance at the houndour, "it doesn't look awfully thin no, but terrorizing a pokemon so it keeps running off and taking its frustration out on innocent? That's certainly under Pokemon Cruelty and more than enough for some jail time." she said calmly, Rod sputtered offended. "I'm not terrorizing my pokemon!" He snapped and took a step back from the officer when she pulled out her handcuffs. "Say that to the judge, now come along or I'll have to charge you for resisting arrest too," Officer Jenny said sternly and Rod looked at her as he weighted his options. "Alright, you can be darn sure I'll tell the judge and you'll see you are wrong, all of you!" He snapped but let her put him in handcuffs, recall his pokemon and be lead away. He continued to complain all the way though. "You did it!" A eager voice chirped right at Zaiden's elbow, it was the kid from before and his face was one big grin. "It's good you could stop him form being so mean! Here! I want you to have this, your pokemon will love it!" Samme said as he presented Zaiden with a Luxury Ball. Kamome was the fastest and grows +4 levels (lucky egg) to [Lv 17]! He can learn Wing Attack if he forgets another move! He also gains +1 happiness! (+2) Itachi watched closely and grows +2 levels (multiplier) to [Lv 8]!Officer Jenny comes and takes Rod away while Sammy is grateful for Zaiden's help and gives him a Luxury ball! Do Zaiden want to try find the lasy houndour, or will he call it a day?

MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
The tawny teenager turned his dark chestnut eyes towards the setting sunlight as it splashed the usually bright blue skies in various hues of orange, reds, and yellows and sighed. Why was he trying to educate this stranger? Why did he believe that he could make a difference for someone who seemed to lack the willpower to gain empathy and understanding. “You know…mankind has cause more destruction than any other beast imaginable, comparatively.” Zaiden mused, hoping an analogy might awaken the stone-cold heart of this heartless coordinator. “Even if we’re not the most dangerous in our world, we tend to be the most destructive overall. Should we all be beaten and whipped senselessly into shape?” He asked as a direct response to Rod’s inquiry of Zaiden taking his own violence out on the lad.
The young trainer scratched the top of his scalp with his fingertips, that would normally barely disappear between his short blades of hair. He normally kept it trimmed so that his rustic blonde hair wasn’t taller than paperclip. Traveling through dense forests and finding himself locked away from human civilization for long periods of time seen to the growth of his hair, though, so that now it grew shaggy and tickled the tip of his ear. Officer Jenny’s arrival was a welcome relief. “I’m sure Nurse Joy can check over Houndour’s body for physical signs of abuse…” He gulped back the anxiety and fear that swelled up inside of his chest and spoke up. Wouldn’t Officer Jenny already think of that? If she was insistent on carting Coordinator Rod off to jail so eagerly for such a treacherous crime, then surely she would want to collect all the evidence she could to support the case.
When the other strange man who Zaiden tried to recall but wasn’t so sure of the name presented a strange looking black ball with glamorous engravings along its dome, the teenager boy accepted it with a half-hearted smile. “Saving the Houndour…was my real reward…” Sure, the wild firedog attacked a young schoolboy. Sure, it had taken Zaiden’s expert skills with his own Pokemon to defend and protect this young boy. But still, the empathy and compassion he held in the pit of his chest for virtually all Pokemon kind made him hope and pray that even the Houndour itself wouldn’t have to suffer such a cruel and twisted fate. “But…thank you…I appreciate it.” Afterwards, Zaiden would simply slip away with a whistle to his Pokemon, Kamome, who turned and followed him closely.
“Is a full bowl enough because you say it is?” The white bird questioned with a raised eyebrow like expression on his feathered face. “Or is it because you know for a fact that’s all he needs for a fulfilling meal? Different Pokemon have different metabolic rates, and thus require different amount of food at different variables. You should know that what is enough for…say a Glameow…wouldn’t even be enough of a snack for say…a Tyranitar.” With his trainer’s whistle, though, the bird would immediately fly off to follow after Zaiden. Although, Kamome was confused to see that Zaiden would lead him back the way they originally came. Why were they constantly retracing their steps? If it had anything to do with another of the Houndour…was it worth it for the bird to carefully and assuredly lead his trainer astray so that they could finally leave all this craziness behind? Once Zaiden arrived back where all three trails met, he would study the last remaining pathway with a firm expression and walk down its trail to see what it had to offer.
OOC: Taking the last path to the right!

Rod stared at Zaiden as if he was out of his mind, seemed like the pretty words went straight over his head. But why shouldn't they? In the coordinators head he was doing a nice job and was a kind trainer, he just tried to teach the houndour a lesson or two, since it was out of line and clearly a danger to others. If he had felt heard he might have been willing to open up and see that he had gone too far, but when criticized out of the blue by a stranger he just closed down and nothing what was told him stuck. Officer Jenny gave Zaiden a reserved smile, she was too caught up with her job at hand to spare him much attention. "Thank you for your contribution," she said though and left it to Sammy to swoon and reward Zaiden for his great work. "I bet! I'm sure if it could it would thank you too!" The boy exclaimed as he jumped from one foot to the other and he cheered for Kamome when she came over too, telling him how great he was. Princess hissed annoyed at Kamome's comments, "I don't get why you are on his side with how he has just acted, but its probably because you refuse to believe that we can do anything right. Have you seen his bowl or his food?" She retorted, had he any idea of what he was talking about? It was a lot of confident accusations he threw at her without any knowledge of their everyday life. They could fully agree that something had to be done about the houndour, but they certainly disagreed what the problem here really was. She was soon enough knocked out by Kamome, and then recalled, so no matter if the wingull gave her any answers or not, she wouldn't be able to give any more retorts to that. The last path they took which had signs of the third houndour soon lead to a wide dirt road which looked well used. It was sandy and there were a single line of recognizable paw prints following it, all the way down to a farm house with a variety of farm pokemon around, mareeps, a few wooloos, a couple of miltank and a single black tauros in a pen of its own. A farmer was walking towards a dog house with a bowl of food, which he presented for something inside, but his expression soon showed that something was wrong. As Zaiden reached the gate, or perhaps even stepped inside, a houndour ran out of the doghouse barking, warning everyone that there were strangers on the property. "Calm down! Calm down! What's gotten into you?!" The farmer called and grasped the hound's collar and pulled it back. "I'm sorry lad, he's usually much calmer, he's really not acting like himself," He called out apologizing to Zaiden. "Come on boy, why don't you eat a bit? I'm sure you'll feel much better afterwards," he said softly to the growling dog who was staring daggers at Zaiden. "Are you sick? You haven't eaten for quite some time," The farmer mused worriedly and glanced at the food he had offered, "you have been acting so weird since we switched your diet but I don't get why. You were tired of the pellets and these contain all the same ingredients and are home grown," he continued with a deep worried wrinkle on his forehead. It softened as he chuckled sadly, "and you used to sneak in and eat things off the stalks, but why don't you want to eat it when its the exact same thing in your bowl now?"He sighed worried and petted the hound, and poked it around the stomach to see if his dog was in any pain, or gave any sign of discomfort or sickness which could explain its strange behavior. The Farmer needs you help to figure out the houndours diet. What is he doing wrong?! [img src=" " alt=" "]

MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
The mousy-brown haired young man was happy to see officer Jenny cart the coordinator away. Though Zaiden hadn’t learned how to speak with others to help give them a change of heart, he could at least make a difference in Houndour’s life for the better. He recalled his feathery white seagull within Kamome’s Pokeball and turned away with a simple farewell to head down the only remaining pathway as the winds whipped up around him. Their chilly touch seemed to bring in the young frost that would blow softly across the golden brown grasses and soften their darkened, depressed coloration with a beautifully whitened touch.
As Zaiden walked back down the pathways he’d once trekked to find the coordinator and his dog, he paused to reflect on the differences he’d made. The first of the three had been a victim of a horrible man’s plot to make a quick buck. The other was the victim of a brutal owner who didn’t understand the pain that animals could endure underneath such a rough master. What did the last firedog have to contend with, Zaiden had to wander silently as his feet pressed gently through the icy terrain through a land of dirt and clay. A wide dirt road that stretched far across one side of the track to the other greeted the young man’s rich chocolate brown eyes. It must have been made large enough to accommodate some pretty lavish horse and carriages back in the day, though now Zaiden had to question whether two normal sized vehicles could fit easily on the road together given the modern times they were in. Did it survive the test of time, or would it eventually be updated too?
Though his thoughts wouldn’t linger for too long. Zaiden’s feet came to a sudden halt as he paused just on the edge of the old farmer’s land. It was large but simple. Wooden fences that were obviously built by hand stretched from every corner of the old man’s land, cutting in between each other to section off different portions of his land for various purposes. Zaiden’s rich brown eyes twinkled with soft admiration, and he sighed with a smile. Part of this farmer’s simple life seemed to pull on past memories trapped in the back of the teenager’s mind of times when his parents would pack him up and drive him far out into the countryside to his grandmother’s home. There were wild Tepigs and Pignites that rummaged through the overgrown bushes and brambles and would sometimes rush you if you weren’t careful. The couple of Miltank that ran around her barely fenced in yard, sometimes being chased by his grandmother’s Kantian Tauros were some of the happiest memories he had of her before her spirit would eventually leave them for warmer realms where physical hands could not touch.
“Oh…uhh…” Zaiden’s feet moved almost automatically as he jumped backwards. The firedog’s vicious barking scared the young teenager, who shoved one hand into the pockets of his rough denim jeans and scratched the back of his neck with his other hand. “Yeah…about your dog mister…he was caught with two others attacking a young schoolboy…” Zaiden would carefully walk up to the old man with a loud gulp as he studied the dog’s bowl in the farmer’s hand. When The farmer rattled on about the dog’s diet, Zaiden wandered if there was something in its food that might have caused an upset stomach. Would that have been enough to cause it to run off and attack a relatively innocent lad, though? Would this information cause the farmer to react unkindly to his own Pokemon, similarly to how the coordinator responded to his?
“I wanted to see…what might have caused it to react so…mind if I look at what you’re feeding it?” Zaiden asked with large, inquisitive eyes. Should the farmer oblige, then the short-haired trainer would poke and prod at the different items in his bowl with mild interest. The soda was a natural remedy for Pokemon on long journeys to help them regain some of their strength they might have lost in battle. While Tamatos were known to be rather tart in taste, they weren’t that much of an issue as long as the Pokemon that ate it had the kind of nature to enjoy tart foods. Lava Cookies were great to heal status ailments of Pokemon, and should have naturally helped the fire dog feel better no matter the condition he might have been in. Only the Revival Herb looked out of place. “Oh…I bet it’s this, sir…well. These herbs should only be used when a Pokemon faints. They have no real purpose beyond that. And they’re pretty…strong tastes makes most Pokemon grouchy after eating it. So you have to strengthen your bond with them as they’ll be pretty unhappy eating it. Is there a reason why you include it in his diet?” Zaiden asked curiously, after going through everything with the old farmer.
OOC: Zaiden recommends ditching Revival Herb.

The Farmer listened as Zaiden explained what he had discovered the man's beloved fire-dog had been doing earlier that day. He rubbed at the back of his neck in shame, looking down at the puppy. The dog lowered its head, seemingly sensing the shift in the air as the topic of its morning activities came up. The dog whined lightly, and the Farmer reached down and began gently patting it on its head. "What would you go and terrorize some poor kid for, buddy? This ain't like you."
"I'm glad you came and told me about this, I'll try to keep a better eye on my little buddy. I don't know what it is about this new diet that's upsetting him so much," The Farmed bemoaned, feeling some sense of responsibility for what had happened. Maybe if he had taken better care of his pup, or trained it better, or fed it better, or done something differently, it might not have gone out and put a child in danger. But here was a stranger, a seemingly good-hearted one at that, offering some help. So who was he to turn down any of this help. "If you think you can figure out what is wrong with my pup's diet, by all means."The Farmer handed the bowl and its contents to the Trainer, letting Zaiden observe the contents and watching as Zaiden sifted through the various snacks and berries. Eventually, however, Zaiden had pulled out a strange green herb that seemed to have caught his attention more than the others. The Farmed raised an eyebrow at it, taking the apparently bitter herb from Zaiden and sniffing at it, as if he were testing it himself. The plant's strange, bitter scent made the man recoil. "Ugh, I think you may just be right. I would be none too pleased if someone put this in my bowl at breakfast either," he looked down at his Houndour sympathetically, toying with the herb in his hands as he did so. The dog bristled a little at the sight of the herb, scrunching its nose up ever so slightly. This seemed to be the last bit of confirmation that the Farmer needed before believing in what Zaiden was suggesting. "Pup, is this what was upsettingf you so much? You didn't like the Herbs I was giving you?""Too bitter. Made everything taste like bile...think the hunger was getting to me," the Houndour began to yip, seemingly confirming its Trainer's worries and Zaiden's suggestion. The Farmer shook his head, taking the bowl from Zaiden and going about replacing the contents with some fresher food and fresher snacks; this time, without the presence of the Revival Herb. The Farmer and Zaiden would both be able to sit and watch as the Houndour began to happily devour the other assorted snacks, seemingly pleased with what was presented to it. When the bowl was empty, it simply looked to Zaiden and barked its thanks; a faint smile appearing on its face. "Well I'll be, looks like you were right. I went up to Goldenrod to sell some produce last week and saw these folks selling these herbs, talking about how they were great for medicine. Thought it might help make my Pup a little stronger and healthier. Guess all it did was upset him," the Farmer explained, adjusting his hat as he spoke. "Wait right here, son. I got something for your troubles, as a way of making up for my pup's behavior."The Farmer retreated for a moment, leaving Zaiden and the Houndour to keep each other company for a moment. The Houndour gave Zaiden an apologetic look, seemingly wanting to make amends for the kerfuffle involving the School Boy from earlier. In just a moment however, the Farmer returned with a small box in hand. Within the box were three glass bottles, filled to the brim with a white liquid and branded with the image of a Miltank on the side. Any Trainer worth their salt could recognize what was being offered to Zaiden. "Three glasses of MooMoo Milk, fresh from the Miltank. I won't hear any objections, it wouldn't feel right without giving you a little something for your trouble," the Farmer said, reaching out to hand the box and its contents to Zaiden. He and the Houndour looked at Zaiden expectantly, the matter seemingly settled for them now that the feed situation was taken care of. The Farmer is thrilled with your help, and offers you 3 MooMoo Milks as a thank you!

MOD NOTE: Itachi IN ACTIVE PARTY in thread! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: N/A | Time: Day
The young trainer watched how the elderly farmer interacted with his hound. It was relieving to see someone treat their Pokemon with kindness even in the presence of some bad news. Zaiden knew that it was easy to lose your temper when things didn’t go your way. He worried that often negative emotions and strong reactions only taught those horrible behaviors to the one you wanted to reprimand. Therefore, it made little sense to use those methods to consistently teach your Pokemon not to react to others in such harsh manners. Though, seeing the farmer simply turn and question his Pokemon with a sense of remorse for his own Pokemon’s bad behaviors made Zaiden feel a bit of hope for the farmer and for mankind in general.
“Of course, sir.” Zaiden smiled and nodded his head firmly. It wasn’t like Pokemon didn’t have a mind and personality all of their own. He even had some Pokemon that he found to be problematic at times. They didn’t think the same way people did. They saw the world differently, and through those differences they often responded to the stimuli they received in ways that you might not have ever imagined. “Besides…it doesn’t seem like the same mean canine I ran into earlier… so something must have caused it to react the way it did. Ya know?” Protective, sure. Wouldn’t most Pokemon want to be protective of their trainers and their homes, if they truly cherished them? And Houndour were known to be difficult to train if you weren’t careful. So when the elderly farmer allowed Zaiden to help him uncover the source of the problem, Zaiden was truly grateful.
Houndour’s reaction was all the confirmation he needed, too! The way the dog pulled back was as though he were repulsed by the plant entirely! The teenage trainer was relieved to see that he managed to figure it out without too much difficulty. Would that be enough to truly solve the problem at its source, though? Perhaps only time would tell. Zaiden couldn’t simply sit around for days on end monitoring the pup to ensure that it didn’t try to slink off and cause mischief though. “Well these herbs are useful! They can help your Pokemon if they lose all fighting spirit. There’s just often a price to pay for it. Revives are better, though, since you won’t upset your pup’s stomach…should you ever need one. Much better than the herbs.” Zaiden explained with a firm nod of his head.
While the farmer walked away to fetch the Moomoo Milk, Zaiden simply turned to the canine and lowered himself on the floor. He carefully held out one hand to allow the farmer’s Houndour to sniff him. It was a slow and careful process where the canine pressed his belly to the ground and curled his tail between his legs with his ears folded against his head. The body expressed how nervous and uneasy he was, so Zaiden knew he needed to stay very still and allow the Houndour the space to approach him or run away so that he wouldn’t feel too threatened. Though after a bit, the Houndour would sniff his hand, then eagerly press his nose to Zaiden’s hand to ask for pets. When the farmer returned, Zaiden was busy petting his canine and praising it for having such a soft and luxurious coat.
When the farmer handed over the Moomoo Milk, Zaiden rubbed the back of his neck uneasily at first. “Oh…thanks! But really…I just wanted to help you both out.” When the farmer insisted, Zaiden nodded his head slowly but surely and collected his new items, carefully placing them up in his bag where they wouldn’t spill. “Thank you.” He would then turn back down the path he’d taken and wander off on his journey back to Violet City, unknowingly getting lost along the way…
