Chester’s face beamed as Venominon complimented his care for his Pokemon. Chester had his doubts that he would ever find someone who loved Poison Types like he did. “I know what you mean.” Often, other trainers would just turn their nose up in disgust at his snake friend. Many girls that might have tried to date him admitted that they wouldn’t even give Chester the time of day until he abandoned his reptile, to which he would readily reject them in a heartbeat. Can’t accept his Pokepals, can’t accept him! That’s life. “I’m pretty sure I’ve lost some friends simply because I refuse to get rid of Fangs or Ivy. They aren’t evil Pokemon…they aren’t disgusting, either! No one understands how loving, caring, and strong these Pokemon can be…breaks my heart.” Chester sighed, lamenting his true feelings to his newfound companion. Arbok turned to Seviper and smiled, happy to see a fellow serpent. “What flattery?” The cobra asked, flashing her hood as she rose her head up cautiously at Venom’s approach. Chester blinked for a second and turned to his Pokemon with soft smile. “I guess it’s really Fangs’ choice.” He admitted. He wasn’t too surprised by his snake’s attitude, since she was overly protective of him to begin with. But still, Chester would place a hand on Fangs’ side and gently pet her to try and soothe her. As Fangs turned to stare at her trainer, Chester would just stare intensely into her eyes as he spoke. “Fangs, you know I would never let anyone hurt you, right? Our friend only wants to help. Will you allow him to help?”The large viper turned to Venom’s snake with a curious look as she slowly nodded your head. “Your trainer…is he kind? I was beaten up on and tossed aside as an Ekans by a bunch of school kids. My trainer took me in, treated my wounds, and raised me into a powerful and stronger Arbok than I could have ever been as an Ekans.” She hissed softly, as a sad frown pulled on the edges of her lips. Chester smiled and gestured towards his Pokemon as he pulled out a notepad and pen. “It’s ok now, she’ll let you touch her.” He added. He would listen carefully to what Venom had to say, nodding his head firmly, and jot down notes on proper caretaking techniques. “So when I heat the water up for the washcloth…how long do you think I should give it to cool down to the proper temperature? 15 minutes or so?”Fangs nodded after Venom finished cleaning her off. She would lower her head down to stare intensely into Venom’s eyes while flashing her smile at the ninja. “Yess. Much better, thank you. I wish the world was filled with kind and caring trainers like you and my trainer.” She admitted, then jumped and spun around after Chester had announced they were surrounded. Chester nodded firmly with a big grin. “Oh, it would be my pleasure to fight by your side Venom. Ready, Fangs?” Fangs would stretch herself up tall and spread her hood wide, while curling the rest of her body underneath herself in loose coils. “We’ll make them regret ever challenging us, right? I like the sound of that, myself.”Fangs glared at the two wild tapirs, causing one to stop dead in its tracks and twitch uncontrollably. It screamed to its friend and struggled through the sudden paralysis in the midst of the fray. The other tapir snorted angrily and narrowed its eyes on the large Arbok, rushing forward after the large snake. When Seviper released a powerful blast of dark aura full of terrible thoughts, it would knock the other tapir off track. The second Drowzee spun immediately to face off with Seviper, grunting angrily, and rammed Seviper’s side with its head. The first Drowzee managed to struggle through its own paralysis in that moment and smacked its hands together, disabling Fangs’ Glare. Wild Encounter Weather: Sunny

After hearing everything that he just did from his fellow Poison type trainer, Venom smiled at Chester and nodded his head, responding in a tone filled to the brim with pride and understanding. "I couldn't have said it better myself, Chester. I'll admit, this is no easy path we've chosen for ourselves, and I'm not talking about training and battles. No. I'll talk about something far deeper and more personal. As you can probably imagine, I've gone through all of that myself, and more. Much more. Back in my home of Fuchsia City, I'd hear that sort of stuff all the time. Trainers would come to my family's gym, and if they managed to win a badge, they'd usually go on to belittle Poison type Pokemon on their way out the door."
As he spoke, the ninja lost his smile, in favor of a more displeased facial expression, but he still maintained his composure and tone of voice. "They called Poison type Pokemon everything. Weak, disgusting, worthless, losers, and so much more. I can't speak for the rest of the world, but as far as I'm concerned, you made the right choice, Chester. Only a cold, heartless failure of a human being would choose to throw away their own Pokemon for any reason. If the people you've met can't accept you and the Pokemon you hold dear, then they're definitely not the right friends for you. A true friend accepts their friends for who they are. Quirks, faults, choice of Pokemon, and all."
"In any case, that's why people like us, who see the true potential of Poison type Pokemon, can't give up. If we don't show the world what Poison types can do, who will? Don't get me wrong, Poison types are amazing, and can do many spectacular things, but all Pokemon can only accomplish so much on their own. Most people don't realize it, but they need us as much as we need them. So, no matter how many people look down on me, or how many battles I may lose, I'll keep fighting. So that hopefully one day, the entire world will look at Poison type Pokemon, and see them the way that we do. As the strong, beautiful, and nurturing beings that they are." As Venom finally reached the end of his speech, he regained his smile, thinking back to not just Koga and Janine, but the wild Nidoking and Nidoqueen that raised him in the Fuchsia City Safari Zone before he met them.
Both Seviper and Grimer smiled once again after listening to all of that from their beloved master, as Seviper turned and nodded at Fangs once she asked if Venom was kind or not. "As you just heard, my master is very kind, darling. He cares about all of us more than anything. Even himself at times. I'm still not exactly sure when or how it happened, but Master Venom is immune to all forms of poison. Not even my valued comrade, Salandit, with her highly potent Corrosion ability, can inflict poison upon him. Master claims that he gained this power by spending so much time around Poison types like us, but we believe that this power he possesses is a gift from nature. As well as a sign that the path he now walks upon is a righteous one."
"And as long as he continues to walk down this path, we'll continue to do our very best to support him every step of the way. Things may be rough at times, but you'll see, Fangs. You too, Ivy. One day, because of our master and others like him, this world will change for the better." Grimer added with a very cheerful tone and smile to match, harboring absolutely no doubts that Team Toxic would succeed in their mission to show the world that Poison type Pokemon are not to be taken lightly by any means. While the Pokemon were chatting it up, Venom was giving Chester a few more pointers, including an answer to his question regarding how long he should let the washcloth cool before using it to clean Fangs' scales. The answer being "yes", about fifteen minutes should do nicely.
From there, the battle was underway, with the two Poison type trainers and their respective serpentine Pokemon standing side-by-side, and Grimer and Ivy on the sidelines cheering them on. "C'mon, everyone! You can do it! Kick their psycho psychic butts!" So far, the battle seemed to be going their way for the most part, as Seviper shrugged off the second Drowzee's Headbutt like it was nothing more than a love tap. "You and Fangs are doing very well, Chester. Although, you may want to brace yourselves for this next round. Seviper, let's show them your Sludge Wave attack next!" Venom gave Chester and Fangs a heads up, then called for Seviper's strongest attack, hoping to finish off both of the wild Hypnosis Pokemon this round.
"As a fellow Poison type, this shouldn't hurt you too badly, Fangs. Even so, I apologize if it does. However, I'm most definitely not sorry to the two of you!" Seviper took a moment to express her deepest apologies to her tag team partner, before glaring at the two Drowzees and unleashing a powerful wave of toxic sludge all over the battlefield, dowsing everyone and everything around her with it. Fortunately for Chester and Fangs, Seviper wasn't the one with the Corrosion ability, even though Fangs' ability was Shed Skin, like Seviper herself. And just like their earlier bout with a wild Ponyta, all the grass in their area died the moment the Fang Snake Pokemon's Sludge Wave hit it. A fate that may soon befall the two wild Psychic type Pokemon as well.

Chester nodded along solemnly to Venom's speech, he had seen it too often, people who belittled others pokemon and called them weak just because they could. "Yeah! It makes no sense! Even a weak pokemon can be strong with the right training and every type has an advantage over another! You can't call a poison type weak just because it has trouble with steel! It's really good against grass, no offense Ivy," Chester quickly added to his ivysaur who took it in good stride. He saw himself more as a poison type than a grass anyway. "It's just like the ones who claims Bug types are all weak, I have seen them scoff of Bugsy's when they leave with a badge too. Why are they doing it?" He added as he too had heard people scoff at certain types, although it was more often he had heard that bugs were looked down upon, while his poison types were more feared. Mostly Fang because she was a snake, why did some people not like snakes? "They really are something else, aren't they?" Chester agreed fondly, "and now you can see it on Fang as well, with how pretty she has become!" He grinned and shot Venom a glance to see how he reacted. "It's good there are some good people in the world," Fang said bitterly, and sent Seviper and Grimer a puzzled look, "and my trainer isn't my master, he's my partner and friend," she corrected. A master sounded so harsh, as if the pokemon really had to be submissive to their trainer or was afraid, but it didn't sound or look like Venom's pokemon felt uncomfortable in any way around their trainer. Ivy looked at their own younger and more inexperienced trainer, "I'm pretty sure our trainer doesn't have such skills," he looked worried for a moment, "you don't think that means he's not made for having one type or might change his mind?""Ivy! How can you suggest such things!" Fang gasped horrified and the ivysaur quickly apologized and defended himself. "I don't think he will! But if he'll lack something special ability to be around us to not fail, or get sick if we make a mistake, I wan't to know and be prepared! To try avoid it!""We can do this Fang! I know it! You have the perfect move for psychic pokemon, don't forget it! Now it's time to use it!" He called out and his purple snake slithered forward to chomp down on the drowzee she had paralyzed earlier, it clearly hurt but it was still standing. Fang made a disappointed noise and quickly slithered back to get out of the way, which wasn't enough as Seviper spread her poison everywhere. Fang winced but did her best to pretend it didn't bother her. Chester was not so proud, he stumbled back, "Ow ow ow! It burns!" He exclaimed and jumped up on a little rock to get out of the poison bubbling on the ground. Chester sighed as he looked at the grass, "I would wish we didn't hurt our surroundings so much," he sighed, not thinking that other kind of types could do that as well. Chester frowned at Venom, "How come you are not hurt?" He asked and pointed at the feet deep sludge Venom was standing in. The two drowzee's also tried to avoid the poisonous sludge, but as they had nothing to jump up on, they were practically washed away. Only one of them stood up and looked rather miserable afterwards, it looked around and panic seized it when it realized it was on its own. It blasted Seviper with a confusion attack in the hope of distracting her long enough for it to get away, forgetting she was not the only one in this battle. Wild Encounter Weather: Sunny

Once again, Venom nodded in agreement right along with Chester's statements, taking a moment to formulate his response before answering his questions. "First off, I believe the reason why anyone would insult anyone or anything, is because it makes them feel better about themselves in some way, shape, or form. Either that, or they believe they're funny. However, I most definitely am not laughing." The ninja's tone was stern and unamused, as he folded his arms and did his best to contain his anger on the matter. Thankfully, the statement regarding Fangs' appearance was more than enough to take Venom's mind off of it, turning his head and smiling at the Cobra Pokemon.
"Secondly, indeed. Fangs is a true vision of beauty. No matter how many times I hear it, I will never understand people's distaste for snakes. Personally, I find them to be the most beautiful creatures this world has to offer. And not just because my name means "King of Poisonous Snakes"." As he gave his honest opinion of all things scaly and slithery, the Poison type trainer's tone of voice changed into one of admiration and respect. And once again, the Pokemon chatted amongst themselves while their trainers did the same, with Seviper and Grimer remaining silent while they waited for Ivy and Fangs to stop shouting at each other. Once they had, it was Seviper who spoke up, clearing her throat and regaining her composure before doing so.
"If you two are quite finished, please allow me to alleviate this little misunderstanding. Although we call him "master", we only do so out of mutual respect. Our master still calls his adoptive father by that very same title as well, despite no longer being his student." As soon as the Fang Snake Pokemon finished speaking, the Sludge Pokemon quickly took over, adding a few comments of her own with a nod of her head. "Yeah, exactly. It's a term of endearment for those of us on Team Toxic. Oh! That's what we call our team by the way. Pretty cool, right?" Grimer smiled at Ivy and Fangs once she was finished, then waited to see and hear what the fellow Poison types thought of their team's name, as well as their relationship with their own trainer.
From there, the battle continued to unfold, with Venom not even trying to dodge Seviper's incoming Sludge Wave attack. The toxic sludge washed over the entire area, coating everything in purple ooze, including Venom's feet. However, even though all the grass died upon impact, the purple-haired trainer didn't even flinch, though he did frown himself once he looked down at the dead grass. "Yes. It really is a shame. I suppose that's one of the few downsides of poison. I believe nature has what it takes to bounce back though." Venom did flinch once he noticed Chester's distress though, turning towards him once again and quickly withdrawing a single Pecha Berry from his bag, offering it to the other Poison type trainer.
"Oh no! Sorry about that, Chester. I haven't interacted with many humans in my life, and I always forget that not everyone has the gifts that I do. You see, ever since I was little, I've been immune to all forms of poison. My father and all the doctors I've seen believe that it's a result of spending so much time around Poison type Pokemon. Getting bitten by them, breathing in their toxic fumes, and what not. Anyway, here's a Pecha Berry. I always make sure to keep a few on hand in case any Pokemon are hit by any of our stray shots, but it should still work for humans too." Venom explained to Chester, then bowed to him in an apologetic manner, hoping that the younger male wasn't in too much pain.
The ninja raised his head once he heard the sound of Seviper being hit by a super effective Confusion attack, seeing his beloved serpentine partner glare and hiss at the wild Drowzee in response. "Hissssssssss!...Now you've done it! I promise this next round will be the last, and it won't be pleasant for you, fiend!" Unfortunately for the Hypnosis Pokemon, Fangs used her speed to slither around behind it, cutting off its only means of escape. The lone Drowzee was now trapped between an angry cobra and an even angrier viper. Definitely not a good place to be. And to make matters worse, the toxic sludge had killed all the tall grass in the area, making it impossible for the Psychic type to try and hide among it.
Not only that, but the heat wave was still going strong, which presented the team of poisonous trainers and Pokemon with the perfect opportunity to end this battle once and for all. "Well now, I believe this is the end. Seviper, I know Fangs is faster, and her Bite is very powerful! But if that fails to finish off the Drowzee for whatever reason, be ready with a Flamethrower attack!" Taking full advantage of the increased temperature, Venom called out Seviper's next and hopefully final order of the battle. "I'm sure you heard that, Fangs. So, as you make your next attack, know that I've got you covered on this one. Our foe will not escape from us." Seviper addressed her teammate, then began to build up some white-hot flames inside her mouth, keeping her glare focused on Drowzee the entire time.

Chester thought about it for a second and had to agree with Venominon. When you got to know the Pokemon better regardless of their typing, they really weren’t as scary or useless as you might try to make them out to be. “You’re completely right. Why people won’t give them more of a chance is beyond me.” Chester smiled and turned to his Pokemon, who had been talking amongst themselves while Fangs helped Seviper battle off the two Drowzee that seemed to want to lure them back to sleep. “I could never give up on my Pokemon. No matter how tough the battle gets.” He stated with a soft smile. Ivy turned back to his trainer and tilted his head. Even if he had his own reservations on the matter, it was nice to hear his trainer dissuade his thoughts. They still had a lot to learn and Ivy really wanted to be stronger for Chester’s sake. Two long vines slipped from between Ivy’s budding flower and wrapped around Chester’s shoulders as though the bulbous plant were trying to give his trainer a hug. Chester gently patted them with a warm smile and nodded his head firmly. “You’re my partner from day one. Anything we can accomplish, we can accomplish together.” He spoke, as though he understood Ivy’s deepest worries. “Wow, that’s pretty cool!” Chester commented on Venominon’s name’s meaning. He wasn’t even sure what his name meant? “I think my mom said my name means camp of….something? She said she picked it out because it was a strong name, and she wanted me to know I was as strong as an army all on my own.” He added thoughtfully, trying to remember what she’d told him. No matter how hard he scratched his head and thought, though, he couldn’t quite recall what that was. Oh well… It really didn’t matter in the grander scope of things. Just her belief in him mattered, which he shared with his Pokemon by always believing in them in turn. The remaining Drowzee began waving its arms up and down as though it were trying to cast some strange spell. “So master isn’t a title he demands from you because you’re subservient?” Fangs asked curiously. She’d never considered such a harsh term to be a good thing before. She’d only seen some mean trainers in her youth scream at their Pokemon, almost belittling them, as they demanded that they were the ‘masters’ and their Pokemon were their ‘servants’ meant to do their every bidding. “I’m glad to hear that, at least. I’ve seen some young trainers use it in pretty mean ways…” But never her Chester! He was the sweetest trainer alive! Fangs shot off through the tall grasses and wrapped herself so securely around the last remaining psychic type that she was sure it couldn’t escape. Then she sunk her sharp fangs into its hide, managing to steal away the last remaining bit of its health. When the Drowzee collapsed on the ground, just grasping slowly in the air in front of it, Fangs would pull herself off and slither back over to her trainer’s side. “Snakes are some of the coolest Pokemon around!” Chester agreed with a large shake of his head. “So is my Ivy, though. Honestly, every Poison Type I’ve met so far has been the coolest alive. Thanks for the help defeating these guys!” Chester added with a smile. To the berry that Venom offered, Chester simply smiled and shook his head, pulling out some medicinal herbs of his own. “Thanks Venom, I really appreciate it. Truly. I don’t want to seem rude not to accept it, but I have my own medicines instead. Your Pokemon might need it one day? Even if they’re immune to their own poisons, who knows what the future holds…ya know?” He added with a small. Though Venom’s tales of his past life was fascinating. Chester wanted to learn how to be immune to his own Pokemon’s poisons one day! But…how could he go about learning this? “I really appreciate your help in getting rid of these Drowzee. Seems like the grasses around here are just teeming with them, ya know?” Chester laughed as he pointed out just how many he’d seemed to run across. Wild Encounter Weather: Sunny

The more Chester spoke, the more Venom felt as though he was speaking to a younger version of himself. It was truly uncanny. Chester shared Venom's opinions, views, his love for Poison type Pokemon and the like, and he even had the same Pokemon that Venom began his own journey with. It also made the ninja smile when he saw the younger male sharing a hug with his Ivysaur, seeing that Chester also wasn't afraid to show his Pokemon the love and affection they deserved. And on that note, Venom decided to follow his lead, now that the battle was over, and victory was theirs. Walking over to Seviper and Grimer, Venom knelt down to meet the pair of poisonous Pokemon at eye level, then wrapped one arm around each of them, pulled them both into a group hug, and gave each of them a quick kiss on their heads.
"Seviper, Grimer, you've both grown so much in such a short amount of time. I'm very proud of you, and very happy to have you both on the team. Together, I just know we'll overcome Whitney, and every other trainer we face after her. You are my precious companions, and I love you dearly. All of you." The Poison type trainer spoke with plenty of tenderness in his voice and while a warm smile on his face, having absolutely no qualms about hugging and kissing his beloved Sludge Pokemon at all. Straight away, both Seviper and Grimer started to blush, not expecting such a reward for their master. Still, it was definitely not unwelcome, as Grimer quickly smiled and returned Venom's hug, nuzzling her face against the side of his while doing so. "Awww! I love you too, master! As long as we're all together, then I just know Team Toxic will go right to the top someday!"
The Fang Snake Pokemon, on the other hand, was noticeably more embarrassed by all of this than her friend and teammate was, blushing harder than Grimer and becoming a bit flustered as well. "Y-Yes...I feel the same way about you too, master...But please...not in front of other people and Pokemon." Venom playfully chuckled at the different reactions that came from his poisonous Pokemon before letting go of them and standing back up, taking a moment to clean Grimer's excess sludge off of himself. Once that was done, the purple-haired trainer turned to face Chester yet again, hearing his compliment about his name, as well as his description of his own name and the meaning behind it. Still maintaining his smile, Venom was quick to repay Chester's compliment with one of his own.
"That's quite the name you've got there yourself, Chester. However, there's something you should always keep in mind. No matter how strong you are on your own, you don't have to do things on your own. After all, as Pokemon trainers, we're never really alone, are we?" The ninja questioned the younger trainer, then glanced at Ivy and Fangs, hinting that the answer to his question was right there in front of him, and that the question itself was fairly rhetorical. Meanwhile, after taking a few minutes to breath and recompose herself, Seviper once again addressed the questions and comments that came from her fellow serpentine Pokemon. "Of course not. I've seen what you speak of, darling, and it's as I've been telling you. Our master is one of the kindest, considerate, and caring human beings I've ever known."
"And after meeting all of you, it appears I now have one more human being to add to that list. I do indeed see a lot of my Venom in your Chester, darling." Seviper once again smiled at Fangs, happy to have made some new friends, even though she didn't have much experience on the matter. Back with Venom and Chester, Venom tucked the Pecha Berry he offered Chester back into his bag, seeing that he had his own supplies for dealing with toxins. When training Poison type Pokemon, getting poisoned every now and then was a very real possibility. Of course, since it has never happened to Venom, he sometimes forgot about that occupational hazard himself. He wasn't quite sure how to explain his immunity to Chester or how the younger trainer should go about acquiring such an ability for himself, but even without it, Venom could somehow tell that Chester and his own team of poisonous Pokemon would make it work out for themselves.
And so, with the battle finally over, and having received many thanks from Chester, Ivy, and Fangs, Venom, Seviper, and Grimer all faced their three new friends, and offered them some bows of gratitude. "Think nothing of it, Chester. Please. Anything for a fellow Poison type trainer. Still, we thank you as well. It has been a true honor to meet all of you and get to fight by your side. And against a pair of Psychic type Pokemon no less." Team Toxic then raised their heads, smiling at their new friends once more, and noticing that the strange heat wave had come to an end along with their double battle. "As long as you never lose faith in the true power of the Poison type, you'll go far in this world, Chester. You all will." Even though this seemed like a happy ending to a long night, it wasn't quite over just yet. One more battle would probably do it though.
OOC: I'll pass on having Seviper learn Venom Drench. However, here's another 600 words for Venom's Cubone egg, and that's more than enough to hatch it. So, please just leave the hatchling's stats blank, add it to Venom's PC, and put Salandit back into Venom's party. Thanks a bunch.

An Abra woke up from his 87th nap this week and possibly the fourth nap today. Teleporting made the small psychic Pokemon tired. When it woke up, it realized it teleported in its sleep and was somewhere different from where it started. The yellow fox-cat yawned lazily as it lifted its eyelid a mere few millimeters to examine the surrounding area. It was night now and quiet in the dark of the night. Its eyes scanned the area and soon met a young man with purple hair and purple scarf, even in this hot summer weather. It closed its eyes as it talked to Venom telepathically. "What brought you out here in the middle of the night? Restlessness? Uncertainty? Avoiding the hot summer days?" It awaited Venom's answer, but it also got a negative vibe from Venom. Perhaps it was the hatred of psychic types with his poison type superiority, but the Abra had came in peace.

Just as good things came to those who waited, those good things also had to come to an end sooner or later. As overjoyed as Venom was to have finally met another Poison type enthusiast like himself, Chester and his Pokemon had their own adventure to get back to. So, after saying their goodbyes, promising to meet again, and exchanging Pokegear numbers, Venom and Chester went their separate ways, along with their respective poisonous Pokemon. And just like that, the snake-eyed trainer couldn't stop smiling, feeling the happiest he had been since he first started out on his Pokemon journey. After saying their goodbyes to Chester, Ivy, and Fangs, Venom called Grimer back to her Great Ball for a good night's rest, but Seviper was still outside her own Great Ball, slithering right alongside her trainer. The Fang Snake Pokemon found herself smiling too, glad to see Venom in such high spirits, as the two searched for one more opponent before calling it a night.
Although, by this point in the evening, most of the trainers and wild Pokemon in the area have already called it a night and were sleeping soundly. As a result, finding even one more opponent proved to be a bit of a challenge for the poisonous pair. Still, their elevated spirits didn't waver, as they continued to hike through the tall grass and keep up the search. Said search only came to an end when Venom suddenly heard a new voice in his head, losing his smile in favor of a more puzzled facial expression. "Huh? What seems to be the problem, master?" Seviper came to a stop a split second after Venom did, looking up at her trainer and questioning him with a puzzled facial expression of her own.
Before answering her, the ninja regained his composure and focused his senses, zeroing in on the source of the telepathic messages in his head after only five seconds. Turning his head to the left, he spotted a wild Abra floating just above the tall grass and facing his and Seviper's general direction. Seviper did the same, then immediately glared and hissed upon seeing yet another Psychic type Pokemon. However, Venom gently placed a hand on top of her head, calming her down, able to tell from the Psi Pokemon's words alone that it meant them no harm. And even if it did, wild Abra's usually only knew how to use Teleport. So, the risk of any damage at all was practically nonexistent in this particular instance.
"Easy, Seviper. This little one is harmless." Venom addressed his own Pokemon, then took a moment to consider his options before addressing the wild one. No matter how strong they were, both Venom and Seviper were starting to feel pretty tired after training so hard for the past several hours. And at such a late hour, the odds of finding any other wild Pokemon or trainers was quite low. With Seviper's Dark Pulse attack, she would definitely be able to KO this Abra in one shot too. Although, it was crystal clear that this Abra meant Team Toxic no harm whatsoever, and Venom never enjoyed harming wild Pokemon, especially those that weren't looking for a fight.
True, Venom could've also attempted to capture the wild Psychic type without a fight, but if the first Pokeball failed, said Psychic type would immediately use Teleport, escape, and Venom and Seviper would be right back to their desperate nighttime search for one final training opponent. So, after a good five minutes of contemplation, the purple-haired young man made up his mind and finally replied to Abra's questions. "Actually, my Pokemon and I are out here to do some training in preparation for our eventual gym battle against Whitney. I'm sure you've at least heard of her. In any case, I'm deeply sorry about this, Abra, but we'd like to face and defeat one more foe before turning in for the night. And unfortunately, you seem to be the only other being awake at this late hour."
As Venom explained all of this to Abra, Seviper saw where he was going with this right away and began preparing herself to attack right then and there. Venom also prepared himself for battle, narrowing his snake eyes directly on the lone wild Pokemon. "We'll try to make this as painless as possible, Abra. And again, I am deeply sorry. Seviper, use Dark Pulse. Make it clean and quick, then let's finally get some sleep." Having no desire to watch this happen, the ninja turned his back to the battle at hand, waiting for Seviper to carry out his orders and put an end to their training for the night. "As you wish, master. For what it's worth, Abra, I do hope you have sweet dreams after this." Seviper offered the Psi Pokemon some comforting words, then gathered her Dark energy in her mouth, releasing it all on said Psi Pokemon just a few short seconds later.

Abra paid no mind to the hissing Seviper as it waited the human's answer. The human didn't answer it directly for a few minutes, but the telepathic and zen Pokemon knew that the human was thinking of a right response. Then, when he had responded, it began sending message again. "This human named Whitney. She sounds tough. I've heard stories from Raticate who snuck into her place. Be warned of her cuteness, if you haven't already!" Although the human probably had better method of learning about how Whitney battled than the wild Pokemon talking forum. "No worries dawg," It hummed. "I think that's what humans say. It was me who chose to appear in front of you! Maybe I'll get back to my weird dream of a giant but soft Pokeball that travels around the world and hitting Pokemon, usually a couple Chinchous and a Cyndaquil." It floated motionlessly as the Dark Pulse hit it square, and then it teleported away for nap number 88.
Seviper gained 1 level and is now level 25! (0/1951 to next level) +1 happiness, now +4!

Although Venom was already well aware of Whitney and her Pokemon's deadliest weapon, Attract, he still appreciated any and all advice and input he was able to get from others. Be they human or Pokemon. And so, before the wild Abra teleported away to another location, Venom offered it a bow of gratitude. "Trust me, I know all about Whitney and what her Pokemon can do. Still, I appreciate your advice. Thank you, Abra. Rest assured though, Team Toxic has a plan to deal with Whitney and all of her tricks. You needn't worry about us." The ninja assured the Psi Pokemon before raising his head, a bit confused by said Pokemon's comment about its dream, but the Psychic type was gone before Venom could pose any further questions.
"Well, that was certainly odd, but it would seem we've reached our goal for the evening, master. May we turn in now?" Seviper commented on the events that had just transpired before the poisonous pair's eyes, then turned towards her trainer and questioned him. By this point in the evening, both Venom and Seviper had felt their visions starting to fade, but wild Drowzees had nothing to do with it this time. After a yawn escaped his lips, Venom turned to face Seviper, smiling and nodding as he withdrew her Great Ball from his bag. "Yes, I suppose that's our cue to finally call it a night. All of you have done very well so far, Seviper, but this is only the beginning of our training. We have a lot more work to do before we'll be ready to face Whitney in battle."
"But for the time being, please take a good, long rest, my dear friend." With that, the Poison type trainer called the Fang Snake Pokemon back to her Great Ball to finally allow her the chance to get some shut eye, putting the red, white, and blue orb back into his bag afterward. From there, the only thing Venom had left to do for the night was find a place of his own to catch some Zs. Fortunately, it didn't take much time or effort for him to do so, as he quickly located a shady, relatively quiet location among the trees of route 34. And as he laid back and closed his eyes, Venom continued to think about what he and his Pokemon should do next for their training, as sleep soon claimed him. It may have still been quite a long road between them and their future battle against the Normal type gym leader, but Team Toxic had come much too far to turn back and give up now.
