Whether it was morning, noon, or night, Goldenrod City was always bursting with activity. The only peace and quiet one could find in or around this metropolis was the routes located north and south of said metropolis. And on one of those routes, route 34 to be exact, a certain poisonous ninja was in the process of awakening from his slumber after a long night of training his team of equally poisonous Pokemon. Rather than find a room at one of the various hotels within the city walls, Venom opted to sleep under the trees of route 34 instead, never really feeling at home among so much metal and concrete. So, after letting out a yawn, rubbing his eyes, and getting to his feet, Venom brushed all the dirt, grass, and other debris off of himself before getting ready for the day, which began with a round of exercise. After a good, hour-long workout, the ninja let all of his Pokemon out of their respective Pokeballs for breakfast.
As they ate, Team Toxic discussed plans for day two of their training in preparation for their eventual gym battle against Whitney. Turning to look at Goldenrod City once more, none of them were quite sure where to begin today's training session. Fortunately, that also meant that there was no shortage of possibilities for the venomous team to get as strong as they could. It was also fortunate that Seviper, Grimer, and Koffing all had plenty of experience in this city already, as they all pitched some suggestions Venom's way. They all agreed that they had probably done as much as they could on route 34, and that it was time for the team to find a new place to train. Seviper suggested a trip to the National Park, Grimer suggested returning to the Underground Tunnel, and Koffing suggested to simply walk around the city and be on the lookout for any other trainers or wild Pokemon that looked like they might pose a challenge.
After about twenty minutes of discussion and eating, Team Toxic decided to give Koffing's idea a try first and see how it played out. Even if they didn't end up finding any new opponents, it's not like Whitney and her gym were going anywhere. As much as Venom didn't care for the big city or anything about it, even he had to admit that he was still curious to see what else it had to offer him and his companions. So, as soon as Team Toxic had finished their meal, Venom called all six of his Pokemon back to their Pokeballs, cleaned and packed up all of their leftover food and supplies, gathered his fortitude, and headed right back into the hustle and bustle of the big city. Just like the last time Venom entered this city, he kept to himself and kept his wits about him, feeling very uneasy surrounded by so many people and very little nature. Even so, he kept his eyes and ears open for anyone that stood out and looked as though they might be challenging enough for his Pokemon to train against.
Nearly two hours went by from there, but the purple-haired trainer still had yet to come across any people or Pokemon that looked like they were worth Team Toxic's time. However, as he ventured around the north side of the city, and strode into a more quiet and peaceful area, the sounds of sobbing suddenly entered Venom's ears. Following the sounds, the ninja discovered a young trainer sitting all alone on a bench, looking pretty worse for wear, both emotionally and physically. Normally, given his distaste for humans, Venom would've looked the other way and moved on. But the more he looked at the younger male and heard the tears flowing from his eyes, the more he felt compelled to at least show the boy a little compassion. Besides, his sister would never let him hear the end of it if he just up and ignored such a tragic scene.
So, after taking a few minutes to think it over, Venom approached the younger trainer, withdrawing a tissue from his bag as he did. Upon reaching the boy, the Poison type trainer offered the tissue to him and spoke in the best sympathetic tone he could muster on the spot. "Here. Dry your tears. If you're willing to tell me what's wrong, then I'm willing to listen. I'm not sure if we can help, but if we can, then my Pokemon and I will do our best." Just by looking at the younger male, Venom could tell right away that whatever happened to him was bad. Very bad. Not only that, but whoever would dare do this to such a young trainer and leave him in such a state was likely just the kind of person that Venom hated most of all. And he couldn't just let someone like that go unpunished.
OOC: I'm not really sure which difficulty setting would be most appropriate for Venom's team, but all of his Pokemon are level 25 or higher. If it'll get him more Heart Sweets at the end of the quest, then I'll gladly give hard mode a try.

The nature-loving Team Toxic member explored Goldenrod City for interesting training opportunities. He soon found a young boy sobbing alone on a bench by himself. Seeing the young kid reminded him of his family, his younger sister, and the purple haired young man approached to help out this wailing child. He grabbed Venom's tissue and began slowly talking between sobbing and sniffling. "Mister... My Horsea, was gone!... These bullies took them!" He stopped to blow into his tissue. "I lost the Pokemon battle to them and when I was going to give them money, they stole my Horsea!" He sniffled and folded his tissue, and he might need another one. "You're a trainer right, mister? Can you help me look for my Horsea in the Alley Maze?" He pointed at a dimly lit alley way, where an unfortunate maze spawned from poor urban planning and zoning. It looked like the kind of sketchy alley where your parents will tell you to not go there, and younger adults will say "sus" at. He wiped his tear with his multiple folded issue. "My name's Tim, and what is yours mister? My Horsea and I will thank you!" He introduced himself, realizing he forgot to introduce. Help Tim find his Horsea! ooc: hard mode gives barely more heart sweet so..... have fun

Venom had plenty of tissues to offer the younger trainer, pulling out a few more and offering them to him as he listened to his story. Straight away, the moment Tim's words reached Venom's ears, the Poison type trainer's eyes changed into those of a serpent's. A clear sign that Venom was mad. Very mad. Venom already had a strong distaste for humanity, but stealing another trainer's Pokemon was downright vile, cruel, and unacceptable. After making a few audible hissing noises, the ninja opened his mouth to speak, doing so with a lisp to his words as well. "What?! You have got to be kidding me! Thissssssss won't sssssssstand!"
It wasn't Venom's intention to frighten the younger trainer though, so he made sure to contain his anger, taking a few deep breaths and recomposing himself as he listened to said younger trainer's plead for help. Still, the purple-haired trainer's rage did remain to a certain extent. As a result, his eyes stayed the way they were. "Tim, it would be my honor and genuine pleasure to help you get your Horsea back. My name is Venominon Ouroboros, but everyone I know just calls me Venom." The ninja bowed as he introduced himself, raising his head a few seconds later and turning to eye the alley maze that Tim pointed out to him. Upon seeing such an obvious hideout for criminals and delinquents, Venom couldn't help but let out a sigh of exasperation. It was almost as if whoever built this city wanted crimes like this to take place, and for the ones responsible to have a place to retreat to. Granted, Venom knew very well how rare and valuable a Horsea was, but there was absolutely no good reason for stealing another trainer's Pokemon. This mission to rescue the small Water type would likely be dangerous, and even though Venom could just call the cops, he felt like Team Toxic was up to the task. The Poison type specialist had faith in his beloved Pokemon, and this was one of the things they stood for after all. "Let's go, Tim. We shouldn't waste any time, and I'll be counting on you to point out the scumbag who stole your Horsea from you. Just be sure to stay close and stay behind me." Having given the younger male his instructions, Venom and Tim cautiously approached the Alley Maze, as Venom wondered which path they should try first. OOC: Even if it's just one more Heart Sweet, that's all the motivation I need. Team Toxic will accept the hard mode challenge!

Tim hastily grabbed Venom's tissue to wipe his tears and to blow his nose. He cracked up upon hearing the ninja dragging the 's' syllable like a comedic interpretation of snake. "Thank you Mister Venom, I think I'll just stay here and wait for you, if it's okay." He spoke sincerely, expressing his gratitude toward the young trainer who had offered to help him. At least in this area of the city, it was well-lit and visible to pedestrians, so Tim would be safe from the views of many anonymous eyes.
"They're not Team Rockets..." He muttered in response, giving a clue that there were accomplices, and they're not the infamous criminal, but rather an isolated group of criminals. He exhaled deeply as he still needed time to rest up.
As Venom approached the Alley Maze, he had a decision to make for this quadruple forked road. In one path, he could see piles of trash bins and trash cans ahead, like they were the back of some stores and commercial businesses. In a second path, there was some faint skid marks of a vehicle on the path. In the third path, it was similar to the first path, but it had more unthinkable combination of trash and garbage stacked and spilled on top of each other, along with a nauseating stench slowly seeping along the road. The last path had some flickering lights, graffitied wall, and secured backdoors of some commercial businesses. Venom would have to take a lead and to take a chance to see which one of these would the bullies turned up.

Venom was a bit embarrassed to have lost his composure so spectacularly in front of the younger male, but he did well not to let it show, remaining focused on the matter at hand. "Of course, Tim. Team Toxic will have your Horsea back to you before the day is through." The ninja assured the younger trainer, without even a small hint of doubt in his voice. Granted, Venom was a bit surprised when Tim stated that he wouldn't be accompanying him into the alley maze, but that made little difference to Venom. For one thing, it would definitely be safer for Tim outside said maze, where no bullies would use him like a human shield when Team Toxic gained the upper hand in the battle to come. And for another thing, Tim probably hadn't ever been inside the maze himself anyway. And thus, wouldn't be much help in navigating through it.
The Poison type trainer also knew very well that the criminals behind this weren't affiliated with Team Rocket in any way, not needing Tim to inform him of that. Having dealt with Team Rocket several times in the past himself, Venom knew how the evil organization operated, and a simple Pokemon kidnapping was far too simple for them. But for a group of petty street punks, it was perfect. Not to mention incredibly basic. Still, as simple-minded as these punks likely were, Venom didn't make the mistake of lowering his guard, as he slowly approached the alley maze and eyed the four paths before him. Before going any further, the Kantonian trainer made sure to consider all the factors at play in this situation. Still, choosing the right path wasn't going to be easy. Same for dealing with whatever awaited him down each individual path.
For the first path, it could've been the path that led to the bullies' hideout, if the various business owners didn't mind harboring criminals, that is. For the second path, the skid marks told Venom that whoever was down this path were riding on motorcycles. Vehicles that often went hand in hand with criminals for whatever reason. For the third path, Venom called to mind his friend from Alola, Shinya Stinger, and how Team Skull pretty much made their base in a giant pile of trash. And for the final path, it seemed just as likely as the first or third paths. And so, after a good ten minutes of contemplation, the ninja made his decision, walking down the second path and following the skid marks. Honestly, he had no idea if this was the correct path or not. But no matter what awaited him on the other side of said path, he and his Pokemon would face it, beat it, and make this city a little more pleasant to live in.
OOC: Venom has chosen to start with the second path.

The second path was the widest of the four by far. Though it wasn’t quite the size of a contemporary road in any sense and many vehicles wouldn’t fit down it, it was obvious that smaller vehicles and modes of transportations like mopeds and bicycles wouldn’t have a difficult navigating through it. The curves around were gentler and easier, with trash and forgotten boxes pushed out of the way. Skid marks layered over each other, with older ones seemingly fading into the concrete and asphalt as though they might have been carved there purposefully at one time even if that wasn’t the case. Oil stains clung to the ground as well, reflecting strange rainbows where the sun hit them just right, and random nuts and bolts littered the ground as Venominon traveled further down the path. Near the edge of the path, voices could be overheard where piles of old, discarded bike parts littered high and created a makeshift ‘archway’. Many were busted and broken, and many more rusted with obvious signs of corrosion. “Yeah, kid didn’t know what was comin’!” One voice laughed loudly while his hands gripped the handles of his bike. He had long brunette hair that was oily from a mixture of sweat and other unknown liquids, causing it to mat and cling to his face. “We sure got ‘em good, didn’t we?!” An bald man, leaning down next to his friend’s feet, laughed with a firm nod of his head. When they noticed Venominon, both jumped up. “Yo, punk, you better come on out and face us!” Gary growled loudly, carefully stepping off his bike and ensuring that the brake was properly in place to support it. He balled one hand into a fist and pumped it into the palm of his other hand threateningly. “Yeah, unless you’ve got a bike for us as payment for overstepping, you’re in a world of trouble!” The baldheaded Cliff barked back, stepping up beside his friend and straightening his back out. They both pulled two small Poke Balls out of their pockets and tossed them up into the air with a click of a button, releasing a Gurdurr and a Graveler respectively. Hooligans Gary and Cliff challenge Venominon to a fight! Hydraulic the Gurdurr [Lvl 26] and Rotor the Graveler [Lv 27] will be used. What will Venominon do? Battle will be DOUBLE battle and weather will be Thunderstorms.

The further Venom ventured down the second alleyway, the more his suspicions were confirmed. This was definitely the hideout for any punks that owned motorized vehicles in Goldenrod City. Was the vast majority of the city's population even aware of this location's existence? The ninja couldn't help but wonder, as he continued his trek down the filthy road before him. At the same time, he also figured that even if the people of the big city were aware of this place and the street thugs that inhabited it, they were likely too scared of them to do anything about it. Either that, or they just didn't care. Either way, Venom was absolutely disgusted with it all, growing even more determined to give these punks a good thrashing and run them out of town.
And it seemed Mother Nature was on Venom's side. In a literal flash, the weather changed rather dramatically, going from calm and clear to raining and thundering in a matter of minutes. The Poison type trainer wasn't bothered by the weather in the slightest, but if the punks he was looking for had any sense at all, they'd take this as a bad omen and make a break for it. Not that Venom would let them escape with Tim's Horsea, of course. And as he approached the rather crude piece of artwork made from old motorcycle parts, Venom let out a sigh and shook his head, making sure not to touch any part of the rusty structure as he made his way through it. Almost immediately after that, Venom's highly trained ears picked up on voices through the thunder and rain drops, quickly turning his head in the direction the voices were coming from.
Venom's snake eyes locked onto a pair of hooligans after that, and based on what they were saying, Venom wondered if perhaps he had already found the bullies who had stolen Tim's Horsea from him. Still, rather than jump to conclusions, the Kantonian trainer maintained his composure, and approached the hooligans, showing absolutely no fear at all. As soon as they noticed him, Venom came to a stop, standing tall just a few yards away from the street punks and listening to their words before shooting a retort at them. "That was always the plan, you simple-minded fools. However, I'm afraid all I have for you is a much-needed dose of retribution. And even if you're not the ones I'm looking for, I'm sure a pair of thugs like yourselves are still guilty of plenty of other things. So, if you wish to make things easier for yourselves, tell me the truth. Have you stolen a Horsea from a young trainer recently?"
The purple-haired young man figured that even if they had Tim's Horsea, they'd probably lie and say that they didn't, but that suited him just fine. Venom was more than willing to beat them down and teach them a lesson that they're parents obviously never did, Horsea or no Horsea. But before choosing his own Pokemon for the double battle at hand, Venom took a moment to eye the Pokemon that Team Toxic would be battling in said double battle. "Graveler and Gurdurr, huh? Not bad, but nothing Team Toxic can't handle." Venom declared without even a single hint of doubt in his voice, despite one of the enemy Pokemon possessing a clear advantage over Poison types. Still, as strong as they were, there was one thing that Graveler and Gurdurr both lacked. Speed. So, with that in mind, Venom had already selected the two Pokemon that would face them in battle, withdrawing their Pokeballs from his bag.
"Let's see how you imbeciles match up against these two! Seviper! Croagunk! I call you!" The ninja tossed the two orbs down in front of him, and out popped a snake and a frog. Both of them dripping with even more poison than the rain that quickly covered their bodies. "My word! What is this vile place?! It's disgusting! And the people and Pokemon here aren't looking much better!" Seviper was the first to comment on their surroundings, not at all happy about being here and not at all afraid to say exactly what was on her mind. "Well, if nothin' else, these two muscleheads look like they'll provide us with some pretty good sport. Let's see what they've got." Croagunk commented in a much calmer tone of voice with a smirk on his face, cracking his knuckles as he eyed their foes, particularly the fellow Fighting type.
With another bright flash of lightning, the battle was on, and since his Pokemon were faster, Venom wasted no time in giving them their orders. "Let's put these punks back in their place, you two! Seviper, use Giga Drain on Graveler! And Croagunk, use Flatter on Gurdurr!" With a quad weakness against Grass type moves, Venom had no doubt that Seviper's Giga Drain would make quick work of the Rock/Ground type. And as for Gurdurr, Venom knew that he had to be careful of its ability, Guts. Fortunately for him, confusion was the one thing that didn't trigger the attacking boosting effect of Guts. And as far as the boost in special attack power that went along with Flatter, it didn't really matter anyway, since Gurdurr's special attack stat was already pretty low.
"As you wish, master! Anything to get out of this filthy place as soon as possible! Have a taste of this, you big brute!" Seviper acted first, narrowing her own snake eyes at Rotor through the rainfall, and filling her tail with all the energy she could muster, causing it to give off a bright green glow. Several seconds later, three strands of energy shot out of Seviper's tail and headed straight for Rotor. Meanwhile, Croagunk continued to smirk at Hydraulic, paying him some complements and sending some Dark energy his way at the same time. "You're lookin' pretty strong over there, big guy. I bet you could lift a whole lot more than a steel beam with muscles like those. I'm actually kinda jealous." The Toxic Mouth Pokemon's move was doing its job, but whether Hydraulic would fall prey to the confusion was in fate's hands from that point on.

The two men laughed after Venom had spoken. "Haa, you're trying to play the hero? We're in a commercial break right now, and your princess is in another castle!" The one on the bike cracked. "Come to Hot Tropic now for buy one get one fifty percent off graphic tee!" The other one tried to imitate Venom's voice and also imitate those commercial advertisements frequently played in videos. "Alright, break's over, Graveler, use Bulldoze!" The trainer called out his attack, and the other one followed. "Gurdurr, use Chip Away!"The Graveler howled and prepared to jump to create the Bulldoze. However, before it could land, the Seviper's rapid-fire Giga Drain blasted at the rock and ground type, knocking it out cold. The boulder Pokemon landed on its back and slammed on the ground without much of a bulldoze. The trainer of the Graveler sighed and withdrew his creature. "Dang it, return Rotor!"The flatter on the Gurdurr might had worked, as the fighting type growled happily, seemingly toying with the steel beam like it's in a dance. "If you take the time to practice, you can build up your strength like this too! Watch what I can do!" It twirled the beam like a dancer with the broom, around its shoulders and move it between its arms. However, combined with the slippery rain, the fighting type lost control of its steel beam for a bit, and whacked itself instead. "Oouuch, I can do it better when it's not raining!""What'd you doing, Gurdurr! Focus on the battle!" Hydraulic's trainer yelled, annoyed and displeased with whatever tricks the Gurdurr was doing. The mockery that came from the pair of hooligans might've stung a bit more if it weren't for the results of the first round, which went swimmingly in Team Toxic's favor. Venom, Seviper, and Croagunk all smirked at their foes triumphantly, barely even noticing their childish insults. "Hmph! My, my. Such low levels of intelligence, and such pitifully weak Pokemon to boot. It must be frustrating to be so weak." Seviper commented in a very condescending tone of voice, having finished snacking on every last drop of Rotor's HP and licking her fangs clean afterward. And Croagunk was looking quite pleased as well, snickering at his own handy work, but not quite satisfied just yet, taking a few steps toward the confused Fighting type and cracking his knuckles a few times. "Yeah, that's right. Dance for me, ya damn fool. But don't go down just yet. I still haven't introduced ya to my knuckles."
Witty banter aside, Venom was still unsure if these were the Horsea thieves he was looking for. But given their obvious levels of stupidity and incompetence, the ninja seriously doubted it. Even so, it never hurt to be absolutely sure, especially in these types of circumstances. So, as the rain and thunder continued to come down hard all around them, Venom gave his beloved Pokemon their next set of orders for this battle. Although, from this point on, the purple-haired trainer doubted it would be much of a challenge anymore. Not only was their only remaining opponent hopelessly confused, but it was also now a two on one battle, with both Seviper and Croagunk perfectly healthy and ready for more. Much more.
"We still shouldn't risk activating Gurdurr's Guts ability! So, Seviper, use Giga Drain again! And Croagunk, you use Drain Punch!" Even over the rain and thunder, the two Poison types heard their master's commands loud and clear, immediately channeling plenty of energy into their tail and fist, respectively. "If you don't mind, Croagunk darling, I'll take the lead! Please do try and stay in sync with me, won't you?!" The Fang Snake Pokemon sent out another round of bright green energy strands, all bound for Team Toxic's confused adversary. "Tch! Remember who you're talking to, Seviper! As long as I get a few good blows in, I don't mind waiting my turn! Now, watch this!" With his right fist bursting with energy, the Toxic Mouth Pokemon charged straight for Hydraulic, following Seviper's Giga Drain attack as he ran through the pouring rain.

"If you're so smart, you wouldn't be captured!" The Gurdurr spewed in response to the Seviper's word. It was moving funnily, but it also looked to be slowly regaining its control. "Go, Hydraulic! Don't let that fool beat ya!" The trainer with the fainted Graveler cried out, cheering on. The fighting type's trainer also added his own encouragement. "Hydraulic, keep your spirit up and don't let that toad flatter ya too much! We got work to do, use Chip Away!"Obviously, the Seviper went first again and tried to drain the Gurdurr's brawling strength, but the steel beam got in the way as it was walking a little confused. Right after that, the Croagunk punched the Gurdurr from another angle, but the fighting type blocked it with its other hand, making the drain punch very inefficient. The fighting type mocked the poison type. "Your fist got a weak introduction, good bye!" Hydraulic then, as if it regained a moment of clarity in its confusion, swung its steel beam at the Croagunk, whacking him like a baseball. "Yeah, that was good, Hydraulic!" The trainer cheered for that powerful homerun. Wild Encounter Weather: Clear [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Hydraulic LV 26 HP 18% [16/88]

"Hmph! As if you really have any room to talk, imbecile. It seems you've gotten yourself captured as well. The only real difference is that my master is actually competent and trustworthy. Whereas your master appears to be even more simple-minded than you are." Maintaining her composure, Seviper shot a retort right back at Hydraulic, still unimpressed by the actions taken by the enemy trainers and their Pokemon since this double battle began. Meanwhile, Croagunk took the first hit on Team Toxic's side, slamming into the brick wall behind him after the impact. However, the Poison/Fighting type never lost his grin for a moment. In fact, Hydraulic's attack only seemed to get Croagunk even more fired up, as he wiped some rainwater off of his face and chuckled a little.
"That's it? For someone with such big muscles, ya sure don't know how to use 'em. I barely felt that." Croagunk commented on his opponent's performance, then took a moment to address his teammate. "Hey, Seviper. Let me finish this one off, will ya?" The Toxic Mouth Pokemon asked, already cracking his knuckles in preparation for the next exchange of blows. "As much as I'd love to see you knock this oaf's block off, darling, you'll have to wait your turn. That is, if our brutish foe is still able to stand after my next attack." The Fang Snake Pokemon answered her comrade with a smirk on her face, rather looking forward to dealing the final blow of this bout herself, as both she and Croagunk waited for Venom's next set of orders to arrive.
And while his Pokemon were chatting amongst themselves, Venom was busy addressing the pair of hooligans on the other side of the alley way, seeing that victory was all but assured for his side by this point. "I see now that I have the wrong delinquents. That's my bad. However, I'm afraid this is the end for you two. A reckoning comes for us all sooner or later. Consider this yours." Once he finished speaking, the ninja quickly withdrew four shurikens from his bag, and tossed them all with great speed and accuracy. The four metal stars bounced wildly off the brick walls, until they finally hit their targets just a few short seconds later, popping all four of the tires on the hooligan's motorcycles and rendering the machines immobilized. "Now, Seviper! Croagunk! Finish off their Pokemon! Use Giga Drain and Drain Punch again!" Venom repeated his commands from the previous round, and his poisonous Pokemon repeated their actions from the previous round as well.

"You're the one who thinks you're so smart and you still get captured. You started this, we can both have a battle without talking," Hydraulic grumped, replying to the Seviper. He then turned toward the small toad. "Unless you're a ghost type, you definitely felt that, no need to lie to sounds tough. It sounds like you're compensating." It knew that its low on its stamina and another blow from those two would knock it out, but it could only try its best! The Seviper started with her attack again, and soon the fighting type was knocked out completely. It fell to the floor and a soft thud sounded as the steel beam also hit the ground. The disgruntled trainer returned his Pokemon. "Tch, you don't get to be the judge here. We make our own rules in the alley!" One of the hooligans replied at the teen's audacity. Before he could speak further, his four wheels were slashed! He expressed shocked on his face as his mind ran through how to react and what to do with this situation. The two trainers quickly counted cash and slapped them at the poison type trainer. One of the hooligan elbow nudged the other, and one of them sighed before speaking. "I'll tell you what kid, we only helped bully the kid, but we didn't snatch that Horsea. Just keep looking, it's around here somewhere." They then slowly backed away from Venom, and when felt they're far enough, ran away in a quick dash. Although it was probably dirty, Venom still accepted the cash from the two hooligans, then heard what they had to say. It was as Venom thought. These weren't the Horsea thieves he was looking for. True, they could've been lying to save their own skins, but extracting the truth from other human beings was also part of Venom's ninja training. And after his little show of force in slashing their tires, the ninja was certain that the truth had been scared right out of the two of them. Venom, Seviper, and Croagunk all watched the pair of delinquents run for their lives after giving Venom this information, but chose not to give chase, for obvious reasons.
"Oh dear. Such a pity. It seems we'll have to backtrack, master. I do wish we could've gotten at least a little more information about of those two ruffians though. Like, what the criminal who stole the other trainer's Horsea looked like, for instance." Seviper commented after letting out a small sigh, really not looking forward to traveling down yet another filthy alley way. "Yes, you do raise a good point, Seviper, but we simply don't have the time to chase after those fools and demand answers from them now. In fact, we've already wasted far too much time in battling them when they weren't even the culprits. The longer we wait to find this criminal, the less likely it is that we'll find them at all. It's entirely possible that if we take too long to locate them, they'll leave Goldenrod City all together."
As much as Venom didn't want to even think about the worst-case scenario, he simply couldn't ignore it, withdrawing Seviper and Croagunk's respective Pokeballs from his bag and calling them both back to them, planning to head back and try a different alley way right away. "Well, whoever we find next, I hope they can give us a better battle than those weaklings did. Talk about a letdown." Croagunk managed to get in a comment of his own before being sucked back into his red and white orb, sounding rather unsatisfied with the events that had transpired in this dark corner of the big city so far. From there, Venom turned right around and ran back to the four alley way entrances as fast as he could, wiping quite a bit of rainwater off of his face as he did. Once he made it back to the starting point, the Poison type trainer quickly looked over the three remaining alley ways, narrowing his eyes and considering his options at the same time.
While deciding which path he should take, Venom recalled Seviper's words just a few moments ago. He knew nothing about this person. Only that they were in possession of a Horsea that didn't belong to them. And without knowing just what kind of person they were, choosing the correct path was definitely easier said than done. Although, given the general vibe of this entire area, Venom figured that whoever was behind this crime must be a very disgusting individual. Both mentally, and quite possibly physically as well. With that in mind, the purple-haired young man turned his gaze down the third path, which was overflowing with all manner of trash and filth. If nothing else, it was at least worth a try. So, after hoping that this wasn't a big mistake, Venom ran down the third path, continuing his search for the Horsea thief.
OOC: Venom chooses to give the third path a try this time.

As Venom made his way down the third path it was not long before he could hear the voice of someone off in the distance. " That loser sure was easy to deal with, I wonder just how strong this Horsea is? I doubt I can get it to obey me so quickly but I am sure after it sees me battle it will come to obey me in time." A loud crash of thunder interrupted her before she grabbed another Pokeball from her bag and tossed it in front of her. " Seviper I think we will have to show our new friend the ropes, I sure hope that dumb kid tries to save his Horsea so we can beat him into submission in front of it."The thunder had helped to conceal Venom for a while as he ran down the path but after a while the strange lady was finally able to hear him coming as she started to cackle. " Who is out there, is it the little crybaby I stole this magnificent Horsea from or is it someone actually worth my time and effort?" She said as she listened for any response while her Seviper started to flicker it's tongue trying to get the scent of whoever was approaching. It did not take long for the snake Pokemon to pick up on the poison type specialist's scent as it curled in front of the strange lady and let out a loud hiss. By now the woman did not care who was out there she just hoped she was not wasting her time with a weakling. " Come on out, I have a Horsea here that says you cannot beat me. That is unless you are a coward to afraid to battle me in which case I will still hunt you down for fun." Seconds later the thunder started to grow more intense as if Mother Nature herself knew a tough battle was about to begin. Bully Miranda challenges you to a battle, she sends out her Seviper (Level 30). What will Venom do?

As soon as the sound of this woman's voice reached his ears, Venom's eyes instantly changed into those of a serpent, as some low hissing escaped his lips as well. Clearly, he did not like what he was hearing one bit. But this time around, the Poison type trainer was far more than just angry. And as more rain and thunder fell down from the sky, it was as if the heavens above feared the wrath of the Snake King that was about to be unleashed upon this vile criminal. She didn't know it yet, but she was about to meet a fate far more gruesome than anything she could ever do, or has done, to anyone else. What's more, the fact that she had a Seviper of all Pokemon, only sealed her fate that much more, as Venom was definitely not amused to see a Poison type being used in such a revoting way.
The ninja began to slow his pace once the woman called out to him, grabbing a single Pokeball from his bag as he and the woman finally came face to face. It was at that moment that another bolt of lightning lit up the entire area, giving the female delinquent a brief but very graphic glimpse of the enraged Snake King's face. More and more hissing could be heard over the sounds of the rain and thunder, and all the wild Pokemon quickly fled the area, as all their instincts sent out danger signals. Venom's hissing was even louder than the woman's Seviper's, with the purple-haired trainer glaring daggers at the two of them with his snake eyes. Every last bit of mercy he had left inside was nowhere to be found at that moment, leaving only fury and malice. Venom had only ever been like this one other time in his entire life, and it took months for his father to pick up the pieces when all was finally said and done.
"There are no cowardssssss here. Although, that may change in a matter of momentssssssss. I don't know you, but I do know that you are far worsssssssse than any poison that existssssssssss in thisssssssss or any other world. Even if you were to return Tim'sssssssss Horssssssssea right now, then get down on your kneesssssssss and beg for their forgivenessssssssss, I'm afraid it'ssssssssss far too late for that. Your daysssssssss of infecting thissssssssss world with your very presssssssssssence are over." As comical as his lisp may have seemed to some people, Venom's tone was anything but, overflowing with rage and animosity. If this woman were smart, she'd do as the wild Pokemon did and run for her life, even though at this point, it was unlikely that she'd make it more than five steps before...Well, let's just say she wouldn't make it more than five steps.
"You've dissssssssshonored the title of Pokemon trainer! Disssssssssshonored the good name of Poisssssssson type Pokemon! And we will not allow it to continue! SSSSSSSSSSSalandit, show them what happenssssssss to thossssssssse who crossssssssss thossssssssse linessssssssss!" With one strong throw, the ninja threw the Pokeball in his grip right at the woman's face, hitting her hard, right in the nose. The red and white sphere then bounced off of her face, opened up wide, and called Venom's highest leveled Pokemon out onto the battlefield. One look at her trainer's face, and the Toxic Lizard Pokemon flinched, but also couldn't help giggling a few seconds after that, as she turned to face their foes. "Oh wow! I've never seen him this angry before! I don't know what you guys did, but I'd start writing out my last will and testament right now if I were you!"
And just like that, the thunderstorm got even worse, as all of Goldenrod City ran for cover. Did this have anything to do with the battle that was about to unfold in the trash-filled alley way? Who could really say? Regardless, Miranda had really crossed the line this time, and she wouldn't be walking away from this confrontation unscathed. A reckoning comes for all criminals sooner or later, and it seemed as though Miranda's had finally come for her. "Ussssssssssse Dragon Rage, SSSSSSSSSSalandit! I don't want any trace of thessssssssse two left behind!" True, Venom could've made use of Salandit's Toxic attack and Corrosion ability, but he was no fool, knowing full well that Seviper's ability was Shed Skin. "Here we go! I'd say this isn't personal, but it sure feels personal! So, don't blame me if this hurts...a lot!" Salandit giggled even louder, stirring up a massive and powerful Dragon Rage attack all around herself, growing even larger and more powerful when it gathered rain and thunder from the storm, before making its way over to Miranda and Seviper.
OOC: I'll be honest. I was actually hoping to find her last. -Sigh- Oh well. Trial and error.
