The Heracross was enjoying watching the Zigzagoon running away, but it didn't like being knocked off a tree in the middle of the night. The fluffy normal four-legged mammal seemed like the likely culprit, and flying after it seemed like a great choice to see its panic and fear. However, in front of this mighty bug was a fearless but strange looking pink and purple creature. The Heracross didn't care and ram its horn straight onto it. The Slowking though, took the hit like a champ! The Slowking mumbled something and saffron or purple energy came underneath the ground, splashing lights and blinding magic that stunned the Heracross from moving temporarily. The Litwick used this opportunity to sneak a strange colored Pokeball on top of the Heracross to capture the Pokemon. The ball struggled a bit but completed in a soft DING! Wow, maybe Litwick was a trainer in previous life?
Slowking gained 1550 exp! 1550/2437 to next level! Heracross was captured! When the heracross vanished into a flash of light, Adrian realized what happened. He looked up at Flicker who waved down at him, smiling cheekily. Well then. That was one way of ending a battle and catching a rare pokemon. A little shaken up from that last encounter and honestly rather tired after fishing and watching Zag learn how to harass trees for the pokemon in the branches—Adrian decided it was time to step away. At least until a new day.
Thus he returned his pokemon and took in the scenery one last time. It really was a beautiful property, lush with life. Smiling a bit to himself, he navigated his way off the property.
However, eventually,, he would be drawn back to the estate, but this time, while the sun was up. The weather was beautiful and with the sun pouring down, it was both breezy and warm. Spring was in full swing and he could smell the flowers blooming.
With a nod of acknowledgement to the gate guardians he met when he was here previously, Adrian stepped back onto the grounds, this time hoping to potentially meet the owners of the estate. Maybe they would have some gardening tips...He needed them. Though as of late, he had seen some improvements to the ranch. People had stopped by both to battle and to rest, some even helping him rebuild, like Freya, who currently lived in one of the guest rooms when she wasn't traveling.
At his side was Buddy, who like always, was a constant companion. The Ivysaur had her leaves spread wide, soaking up the sunshine, and Adrian was suddenly quite aware of the season they had met. Had it really almost been a full year since he stepped into Elm's lab? My how time flew by...
As he walked along the path, he saw something shift in the corner of his eye. Flicker? Where was she going? "Hey!" he called after her. "Flicker, come back. You shouldn't roam around..." Unfortunately for him, the ghostie had buggies on the brain. She knew where to find them too. In the trees! The litwick found one that she deemed acceptable and startled blowing will-o-wisps at the branches, which caused Adrian to panic.
"Nope! No setting trees on fire! Please stop. I know you like battling bugs but this could get us kicked out," Adrian had a moment of revelation as he sent out his slowking. "Put out the fire! Water pulse, go!" Don't fail him now. Fortunately, the slowking wasn't a chaotic mischief maker just looking to watch the world burn. He faced the tree, watched for a moment as those will-o-wisps started to catch, before releasing a water pulse up into the branches. It takes a few attempts to put out ALL of the little embers. Flicker made a noise of protest and floated down to complain at the Slowking for ruining her plans.
<I am looking for bugs to burn burn burn! You're ruining my plans!> She complained.
<...You are distressing our trainer.> Came the slow, sensible response.
<It was fiiiine. Not like those wisps would have done THAT much damage.> Flicker pulsed a bit, her flame growing large and smaller as she sulked. <Just crisped up the leaves a little and spooked some buggies.>
<...We left the garden because a large bug pokemon was upset by being disturbed. Clearly, not everything in these trees are benign. Some are quite aggressive.>
<Bah, nothing I cannot handle.>
As they bickered, Adrian sighed and rubbed his face. Crisis averted. Hopefully? He peered up at the tree just to make sure no long term damage was done to the branches.

Flicker seemed to need a little debugging or an intervention about her obsession with looking for bugs to burn. If it wasn't Adrian and the Slowking's noticing her little action, the rows of large shading trees would have been burned down by now! However, her little action certainly made the local residents angry with metaphorical pitchfork and torches. The trees shook and Pokemon whispered and clicked their teeth in their chatters. Murmurs were in the air briefly about what was going on. Then, suddenly, two groups of Pokemon fell from the trees, dropping on the ground like it was nothing from their impact. Although, the soft grass on the ground definitely reduce the fall damage, but Pokemon don't operate like that. The group of Aipom fired a series of preemptive Swift as the stars flew forward and looking like they were about to hone in on Adrian and his group of Pokemon, but then, a flurry of leaves came right after and crashed into the stars, creating a bunch of miniature explosions as the leaves collided with the stars. Too bad this wasn't a double Pokemon Contest, as the moves would have been spectacular! The Aipom clicked its teeth. "Hey, we were here first to fight the intruders!" "Nope, they sent fires at us first!" The Cherubi stood firm on its four little feet. "Nuh-uh, we got soaked by them first!""How about we take the left side and you take the right side?""How about we give them a challenge and if we lose, you can take them?"There were a few options for Adrian to tackle this. He could send two Pokemon to face them on directly, or only face one group and let the wild Pokemon sort out themselves, or even run the other way as fighting a group of Pokemon would be dangerous! If he chose to fight both groups and won, they would likely forfeit at the same time. If he only take on one group at a time, the Pokemon would be fought back to back. Although sometimes, running the other way would be the best tactic too!

Adrian was understandably startled when a bunch of stars shot out of the trees. He instinctively lurched back, well aware that swift did not miss its target. Flicker did not care and stared at them, because she was a ghost, and as a ghost, she was not afraid of some silly swift stars! Normal attacks did not effect ghosts! HAH! But before the stars could impact anyone, leaves shot out and crashed into the stars and there was a glittering explosion!
Zag was a bit in awe and Adrian blinked hard at the sight.
Uh oh.
Then some pokemon dropped out of the trees and bickered. Their language was unknown to him but his pokemon sure understood what they were saying. They were literally arguing over who got to kick their butts first.
<You better watch it!> Flicker warned. <We can totally win any fight!> She puffed up and got reaaaally close to the other pokemon, but was suddenly yanked back by Slowking.
<Allow me to handle this> he said with a sigh. <Strangers...friends... My apologies for disturbing you. If you seek retribution, focus your intent on me. I shall represent my teammates in this conflict. If it is a battle you wish, I will allow you your retribution, but be warned, I will stand my ground.>
Slowking focused on the aipom, since it declared wanting to battle first. However...Flicker wasn't going to be left out of this. She floated down and just spat fire at the Cherubi with spite, and should the aipom react, Slowking would have no choice but to respond with an eerie spell on the aipom to hopefully keep them from pounding on them. — OOC: 300 words
I suppose let's try a double battle! Eerie Spell on Aipom + Ember on Cherubi.
Adrian has met both! So meeting either would be cool. One knows him as the guy who is trying to fix up that rundown ranch, and the other knows him as an IPF officer from the wormhole raids. Whichever you feel like playing.

"How about you watch your tone!" The Aipom giggled and ignored the Slowking trying to sound mature and formal by jumping straight at the LItwick. Despite Flicker was a ghost type, she was being tickled by the normal type as it grabbed the Pokemon and tickled a soft spot between the candle-wax-like skin. Somehow, just somehow, the Aipom found it!
"Hey, it's my turn!" The Cherubi squeaked and went for a... forward momentum toward the Litwick, but this one was zero percent effective.
"You dense, that thing is a ghost type! That's why I should fight them instead!" The Aipom responded disappointedly.
Then, the Slokwing used Eerie Spell as the ground glowed bright and then slung some damage at the Aipom. Then, the Litwick joined last by hurling embers at the Cherubi. The two wild Pokemon didn't like what happened though!

Flicker was tickled! How did one tickle a ghost? Who knew. She did not care. She huffed in irritation before spitting flames at that ANNOYING aipom. GO AWAY. <Urg. You're so touchy! I don't like being touched by your weird tail hand thing. You're not as fun to burn either. Not like bugs. Or grass types. They burn much better.>
As she was off trying to commit arson on a monkey (and probably failing to hit the speedy pest), slowking was watching this fiasco with agitation. <Will everyone calm down and listen!> he said, his psychic energies rising again—leaves, rocks and other small objects (like a few stray pokeballs from Adrian's pack, all lifting up to respond to his call. When diplomacy didn't work, those swirling energies twisted around the battlefield.
Adrian was a little horrified.
It looked like his pokemon were trying to bring down a storm here in the middle of all these trees.
"H-hey! We're guests. Don't destroy any of the property," he argued.
Flicker, frustrated by the situation, grabbed one of the pokeballs caught up in the swirling energy around them and threw it at the aipom (though to her frustration, it sailed towards the cherubi instead).

"Calm down and listen? There's like no one who can use fires here, so maybe go look around and see who should calm down and listen first!" The Aipom sneered back, using its tail-hand to point the fingers back at them. Then, it swung its tail around and created a flurry of stars that phased past the ghost. "Didn't you just tell me it's a ghost type?" The Cherubi asked, hypothetically. "I was making a point." The Aipom turned to stare back, but then turned back to look at the ghost type with the tail-hand pointing again. "A very specific point!""I can see that." The Cherubi then turned to the Slowking. "Well, I am very much calm but I don't want to hear you either!" It spoke and then unleashed the flurry of Magical Leaves that flew toward the purple Slowking, which barely made a scratch! The Slowking continued the Eerie Spell, which was enough to knock out the Aipom. Before the Cherubi could claim superiority between the two, it was caught in a capture device. The Ball wiggled once. Then again. And one last time. BOOM! The ball broke opened and the Cherubi remained angry at the rude guests. Thankfully the Pokemon was already pinkish red, as it couldn't get anymore red in the face. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

One down and...wait.
"Have you been throwing pokeballs at things?!" Adrian exclaimed as he watched Flicker yeet pokeballs. The tiny ghost was ignoring him in favor of her own frustration, however. The pokeball she threw not only missed the aipom but it smacked the cherubi in the face and sucked it up for a few moments before the plant burst free.
She blew a raspberry at the cherubi and snatched another pokeball from the swirling energy around them, <I wasn't trying to hit you. The stupid aipom fainted and I hit you by accident. But this time, I mean it!> She lifted the ball above her head with overt threat and started to try to chase down the cherubi.
Slowking sighed and tried to dropped the eerie energy swirling around them, negotiations having failed completely and utterly. The various bits of debris dropped and scattered about. and one of the pokeballs that were swept from Adrian's bag dropped down right on top of he cherubi. Who was to sat if it would hit or if the plant would dodge out of the way first.
Regardless, Flicker was cackling right on the cherubi's tail, holding a great ball with menace, ready to yeet it when the other's guard was down.

The Cherubi returned with her own flurry of leaves at the Litwick, but we all know that a bunch of leaves were useless against a spirited flame. The grass type wasn't happy about being captured as it called out. "You're a rude little ghost! No wonder you can't move on to the other side! I hope you find your peace that you're looking for!"The unyielding grass type's voice was quickly silenced by the drop of a Pokeball as the Slowking released its Eeriee Spell. The Pokemon was sucked into a strange space dimension once again as the ball fell to the ground and wobbled to see if the Cherubi could break out. It rolled to the right once. It rolled to the left. DING! The Pokemon was finally captured without a fuss! The Cherubi could still dislike the Litwick from inside the Pokeball though!

Flicker stuck her tongue out at the cherubi as it was finally captured. HA. Victory. SHE was the winner. Quite proud of herself, she bobbed and weaved and floated, content to gloat. Adrian just sighed in relief that the whole fiasco was over. "Flicker, please don't set the trees on fire again. That was almost very bad." He went about picking up his bag and all the stuff that was dumped out of it during Slowking's eerie spell. A couple pokeballs, some potions, all that sort of stuff.
Though he did realize something unfortunate. Some of the glittering tera shards he got from raids were lodged in the branches of one of the trees. SIGH. He didn't want to risk breaking a branch by climbing it, so he did the only thing he could think of.
"Slowking, could you use your psychic powers to gather the shards? I'm worried Flicker would start another fire if I asked her to do it..."
Slowking nodded and Flicker sulked, crossing her arms <They deserved it!>
The more sensible pokemon focused and gently plucked the shards from the wood and even gave the tree a little shake to dislodge some of the deeper set pieces.

Spring breeze picked up as it drifted again, blowing from behind Adrian, and if he had a lighter Pokemon, they could likely take advantage of the wind to pick up their speed. On the other hand, the psychic type's telekinesis wasn't helping to minimize the area Pokemon's aggression toward them. This time, a Cherubi was enraged again when the whole tree was shaking. The grass type quickly hopped on the ground and was readied to fight again. "Hey, quit shaking the tree! That's my house!" the Cherubi roared loudly at them. As if that wasn't enough, a Skiploom also caught the attention of the shaking tree and the aristocratic looking Slowking. "Sir, we're closed for today if you would like to file an appeal, please come back another time. Would you like to make an appointment? Our hours tomorrow are--" It began speaking, as if the Pokemon they're facing would be... civil about their intrusion.

<Ah, many pardons. I am merely trying to retrieve some shards that were lodged into the branches—>
<WHY DON'T YOU BURN LITTLE BERRY BABY!> Flicker taunted. Oh dear. Someone was enjoying the burn of flames a little too much. She darted forward and breathed embers all over the Cherubi, trying to set it ablaze.
Slowking sighed, <Many pardons, dear skipbloom. I must wrangle my companion before she burns down this whole garden.> And he did his darndest to do so. Though with flicker so close, it was hard to just grab Flicker and he accidentally washed his spell over them both.

"WELL, CAN you retrieve it without shaking my whole house? Maybe like, use your hands? ASK ME?" The Cherubi yelled back at the calm Slowking.
When Flicker appeared with threat of burning the grass types, the Skiploom quickly hovered toward her with green powders trailing behind her, released from the bright flower above its head. "Well, I can help you speed toward tomorrow to file your complaint, if you would kindly let me help you~" The grass type squealed politely and surrounded Flicker with a cloud of green spores. The ghost type dozed off and landed softly on the ground to snooze.
"Ooh, you're fast. I like it. I'll help you!" The Cherubi turned toward its impromptu partner and glowed yellow, and then transferred some energy to its partner. The Slowking tried to use his psychic power to dislodge some bag items again, but he dislodged his diplomacy chance with the Cherubi instead.

<What do you me—?> Aaaaand Flicker dropped as those spores passed over her. She dropped, floating only because her ghostly nature made it so. Her flame dimmed and her eyes shut, her mischief for once tempered.
Slowking sighed and lifted a hand <Pardon, pardon. Please, might I bid for your help in dislodging the shiny shards from the branches? Battling is not necessary.> He flexed a hand. Tried to steady the spell so that it didn't hurt anyone.
Flicker, on the other hand, fought to wake up, dreaming of FIRE and ready to fight upon rousing. She would not take this slight laying down!

Concentrated and focus, the Slowking's powerful mind telekinetically lifted the displaced shards around the area. Although his power had picked up some debris along the way, and carried a heavy branch that smacked the Cherubi along the way, making the angry homeowner passed out from the attack. On the other hand, the Skiploom would much prefer the Slowking joined his friend to fast-forward toward tomorrow too. It cheerfully hopped around the psychic type and sang, "Now it's your turn! Come join your friend for a good night sleep!" With green powders floating around it, the grass type tried to lure the Slowking to sleep. However, just as the Slowking's consciousness was fading away into slumber, Flicker had awakened from her own slumber, and manically summoned fire to burn the Skiploom. The fires consumed the Sleep Powder, and the smell of smoke was enough to jolt the Slowking awake.
