The Tauros ran away. Ethan shrugged, as this wasn't one of the Pokemon he might be interested in seeing them live. He briefly shouted a "Thanks for coming!" at the normal type as if it would know what he said. He then turned back around on his trek to look in another part of the desert, hoping something would pop up. The way his feet landed on the sand made a cushy sound, and it brought him comfort for his feet, if it wasn't so hot out in this part. He keep his eyes opened and ears tuned to see if anything would come out of their hiding next.

The sun was shining as always and to the unknown this was a day like any other, but for the cacnea it was a very special day. Today was their blooming day which only happened once a year.

A Cacnea appeared from hiding behind a boulder's shadow after hearing Ethan's footstep. He watched as the grass type swung its arms like a man about to fight someone in a theatrical show tippy toeing to some lyrics he probably won't catch every word of. Fortunately for the grass type, Ethan would not bother with it because he did not find it interesting enough. His roommate Alex also already had a Cacnea, he can go ask to look at that one if he wanted to.

The trainer simply had both hands in the air and shrugged to let the Cacnea know that he did not plan to throw rocks, baits, or balls at it, and then simply continued to look for another wild Pokemon encounter.

As Ethan walked away from his previous encounter it was not long before the already hot desert started to grow even hotter than usual. The source of the additional heat quickly made itself known as a Torkoal that had buried itself in the sand nearby dug it's way out and stood in front of Ethan wondering what was going on.

Torkoal (Level 27) appeared.

A Torkoal appeared as Ethan felt a sudden surge in heat. It dug out of its hiding to greet Ethan, but the human trainer quickly held out two hands with palms facing at the fire type, a if he was about to explaining something. This is another Pokemon that his roommate already had one, so he didn't see the need to also capture one. He tried to calm the Torkoal by keeping his hands out and slowly walk away from it in a curved path. "Calm down, Torkoal. I mean no harm. I come in peace, and I will leave in peace." When he got far enough from the Torkoal, he put his hands down by his sides and continued walking on as usual, not really bothering to look back if the Torkoal stayed.

Ethan heard a strange cry, and turned around to see a Duskull. The Pokemon's face with a skull was a dramatic and imposing, but the young trainer wasn't that afraid of such ghost Pokemon. He didn't consider the ghost Pokemon to be haunting him on broad daylight. Perhaps, the Pokemon was looking for new shelter for the night.

"You look interesting." He declared at the Duskull, smiling. Then, he prepared a singular rock to toss at the opponent, and if it didn't get intimidated or scared, he would grab another Safari Ball to toss at it!

With the Duskull caught, Ethan was elated at the success of yet another capture. While some of his encounters ran away, and he disengaged some encounters himself, he was happy with what he caught so far. With the sandy outdoor quieted again, he got up from picking up the Safari Ball, and continued on the road again to look for another Pokemon. He's been a trainer for so long that it felt weird not being with his Pokemon, with their Pokeballs ready to be pulled out into the field at any moment. Thankfully, the Safari custodian would only temporary hold onto this Pokemon. Still, he wondered what these Pokemon would react to his Pokemon's moves if they were in a battle in actuality.

Trying to make a little burrow in the sand to escape the heat.

A little blue thing was busy digging in the sand when Ethan noticed it. It was a blue Skorupi with its back showing off its hardened shell. When the human got close, it stopped and turned to face him. Ethan didn't waste time as he saw another interesting one. He grabbed a rock once again to hurl at it at first, to weaken it. Then, if the little Skorupi had decided to stay, he would grab yet another Safari Ball and throw it at the little bug. He watched carefully after his actions to see how Skorupi would react.

After the Skorupi was caught successfully, Ethan lit up a smile as he picked up the Safari Ball. Another Pokemon caught! With a few encounters left on his Safari Run, he can't wait to be reunited with his Pokemon again and maybe have another electronic session. He continued to search for another Pokemon and walked around the desert. Walking in this heat, he began to think about what he should do when he gets back to the Pokemon Center. Maybe a quick shower followed by something cold and refreshing to eat and drink?
