NPC Trade Requests

Gone are the old days of travelling between towns leaving stray postings at the Pokemon Centers. All trades across Johto have been consolidated here in the designated Trade Center hub.

All currently active trades can be found below. These will cycle once every 3 months. If any requests go unfulfilled they may return at a later date.

To respond to a trade request, reply in this thread ICly with your character indicating which trade they are interested in.

Trades are first come first served, and you cannot reserve them. Please only offer on 1 NPC trade every 24hrs. You cannot change the Pokémon's name or gender.

*If you trade a shiny you get a shiny in return. NPC Traded pokemon cannot be renamed at the Name Rater.

Adrian found Kindler Michael at the arranged meeting spot. He'd posted a want for a Nidorino and well, Adrian had just recently raised a nidoran into a nidorino. The grumpy pokemon didn't exactly seem...the happiest with him. Or maybe he was just dour by nature. But he thought that maybe, someone else would be able to bring the moody pokemon some joy. So when he saw the ad, Adrian contacted the trainer, and made the appointment.

"Hey," he said with an awkward wave. "You...said you wanted to trade a nidorino for a growlithe? I have one here... If you're still interested and all that." Adrian let the recently evolved pokemon out of his ball to show Micheal that he wasn't trying to pull some weird scam or anything. "What do you think?"

"Are you Katrine?" Adrian asked as he approached the meet up spot. "You were looking to trade for a surskit? I have one here." He pulled out a ball and let the little water skimmer out of the ball. It danced and skittered. He figured he'd see more around Azalea when he did some training. He could catch another one in the future. "I caught this one recently, so I hope its a good fit." Because he was working on re-establishing the ranch into its former glory and that involved bringing pokemon into it as well.

Crow per his usual daytime routine visited one of the many Trading Centres in Johto, just to take a look at what was offered. Shroomish, Pidove, Rattata... wait, Rattata? He stepped back to examine the odd looking thing. It was whole black, standing on hind legs and sporting a classy moustache. The Pokemon looked unlike any other Rattata he's ever seen, far more menacing. Kinda his style.
- That's a Rattata? Shiny or what? - he asked curiously, checking what the kid wanted for it. - Lucky I caught two of those! I can trade ya one. Deal?

Suddenly, he had a realization and backtracked his response a little. "Wait, what's a shiny Pokemon? I've heard my parents and teacher talked about it sometimes, so I am not sure. They said they're rare. I've seen a lot of these Alolan Rattata around, so this is definitely not shiny."

After looking at Crow's regular ye ole Kantoan Rattata, his eyes lit up. "Yes, a deal is a deal! Let's trade!" The child led the trainer to a device where they would officially trade the Pokemon. In a couple lightbulb flashes and beeps, the two Rattata were traded!

Our hero Darius Drakenkin was lucky enough to come across a bird keeper, who urgently informed him that his newly caught hoothoot was not a source of “infinite chicken legs”. In fact, the owl was not capable of regenerating any body parts for the purpose of sustaining Darius and his pokemon across Johto. Rather than report Darius to the authorities, the bird keeper pointed him to a friend: Bird Keeper Denis. The latter was offering a trade: he was offering a magikarp in exchange for a hoothoot. Aftera brief introduction, Darius met up with Denis.

“Hail Denis,” Darius began. “I have the perfect hoothoot for you. He was a worthy opponent that will serve you well...but apparently not served well with chips or fries. Anywho, training that magikarp would be the perfect challenge to prove my worth as a dragon tamer. What say you?”

He was hoping Darius wasn't insinuating about consuming these loving Hoothoots. At the same time, he didn't want to hear farther from this strange dude either.

"Yeah, please take this useless Magikarp from me. My Pidgeot just grab one with its legs the other day and I didn't know what to do with it. Maybe it's something like Pokemon showing appreciation or respect to their trainer? This useless fish just flail around making annoying slapping sound." The birdkeeper rambled, and took a hasty look at the Hoothoot before motioning to the trading device to swap their Pokemon.

Astrid looked around in the tradecenter with the venonat at her side, it looked nervous and she patted it on its top.
"Do not worry darling, we will find you a good new home, one you will like," she reassured it and then went through several trade offers which were not ideal and was turned down since they didn't seem like the right one for the venonat.
"I do not care what you are offering me, he does not like you and your roughness so I will not trade," Astrid said sternly to a female bug maniac who stomped her foot and threw some profanities before stomping off.

Then Astrid got approached by a collector and it seemed like he instantly clicked with the venonat.

Collector Rodney, with his thick-rimmed glasses approached Astrid and her Venonat. He crouched down and extended a gentle hand towards the nervous Bug-type Pokémon, a warm smile on his face. Venonat hesitated for a moment, but then it met Rodney's gaze, and something clicked. Sunlight, that golden ray of fate, bounced off Rodney's strong prescription lenses and fragmented into a million dazzling images across Venonat's compound eyes.

"What enchanting eyes your Venonat has," Rodney whispered as his gaze remained fixed, unable to tear himself away from that alluring ruby kaleidoscope of colours. He was reminded of his high school prom, dancing with his sweetheart under the dazzling radiance of disco balls. "In those depths, I see a truly extraordinary soul, a spirit so rare and exquisite."

As if to seal the bond, Rodney reached for a Poké Ball and released his own Pokémon, Razor. The slick barracuda-like Water-type emerged with a flick of its tail and snapped its jaws instinctively. The collector held Razor for a lingering moment, his touch gentle but imbued with bittersweet reluctance. It was as if he were parting with another cherished love, his fingertips tracing the contours of the sleek aquatic Pokémon. "Our time together was like a tempestuous ocean, passionate but we were both drowning in our own emotions. I'll never forget the memories we shared but it's time to give this Fillet Away."

After searching for the chef for a few more minutes, the young Beauty Trainer soon encourages him. "Chef Regi? I would like to trade this Yanma for your Capsakid." She smiled, holding up the Poke Ball that contains the Yanma.

A man dressed in a cooking apron argued to another man dressed in a smoking looking very important, the man said something which Aphrodite couldn't hear and the chef gasped horrified. "He's not for eating!" The chef spun around and almost bumped into The fairy trainer, he was about to say something when she spoke up and his expression softened.
"Yes, yes he is rather spicy though, just like his parents, he is ready for new adventures," Chef Regi said gently, "and you have a yanma? Their flying abilities is just what I need for gathering the hard to get ingrediens for my cooking," he said cheerfully and as soon as he had made sure Aphrodite didn't plan on eating his beloved capsakid, they finished the trade.
