It was a brand-new year in the world of Pokemon, and although most of the Johto region was currently blanketed in ice and snow, there were celebrations happening all around. The Paldea Festival was still going strong, multiple trainers were taking part in big snowball fights, and a small group of trainers were building what they called "snow 'mons" right in New Bark Town. Truly, everyone here had the holiday spirit and then some. And speaking of spirits, most of the trainers in Johto had probably never thought about it very much at all, but were spirits actually real? True, Ghost type Pokemon were a thing, but were they really all there was on the subject? Some trainers, most likely trainers of science, would most likely say "no" and "yes", respectively. But they'd be wrong. Dead wrong.
It wasn't exactly widely known, but in the great region of Galar, one individual had actually peered into the face of death itself, crossed over to the afterlife, and miraculously made it back alive to talk about it. That very individual now bore the scars of that fateful encounter, both physically and mentally. Even so, they didn't let that get them down. In fact, despite everything that happened to them, they felt more alive than ever before. That individual's name was Clementine Nightingale. And whether Johto and its people were ready or not, she was on her way to the town where winds of new beginnings blew. But would Clementine turn out to be Johto's savior, the cause of its destruction, or just another trainer? Who could say?
Whatever the case, this undead female soon disembarked off the ship that brought her to Johto, taking her first footsteps into the freshly laid snow of New Bark Town. Although it was currently wintertime in Johto, Clementine still dressed light and didn't seem bothered by the cold at all, smiling as she took a slow look around at the new environment she found herself in. Since it never snowed back in her hometown, Clem hadn't had very many chances to experience this type of environment in her lifetime. And being that gaining as many new experiences was possible was part of the promise she made to the one who saved her life, she had been presented with a wonderful opportunity right off the bat on her journey through Johto. But still, promise or no promise, the Galarian trainer was overjoyed to finally be setting out on her very own adventure.
And so, after taking a nice, big, deep breath to breathe in the Johto air, Clementine grabbed her Rotom Phone from her pocket, and pressed a few buttons on it, causing the small device to begin playing some music. Said music didn't have any lyrics to it, but it was a very pleasant and upbeat melody to most, if not all people and Pokemon that could hear it. And with those tones and rhythms filling the air around her, Clem slowly but surely began to dance, moving her body to the music as she made her way across the icy ground. But even with the ground mostly covered in slippery ice, that didn't stop Clem or her dance. In fact, she made use of the ice, sliding across it while continuing to dance her improvisational choreography with a fair amount of grace. And after she had gotten a good five minutes into her routine, the silver-haired trainer started to sing as well.
"Dum. Dee. Dee. Dum. Dum." Much like the music playing from her phone, the song she sang didn't really have any actual lyrics to it and was all just a bunch of random sounds off the top of her head. Regardless, she kept on singing and dancing across the winter wonderland, completely unafraid of any potential stares or judgement she may have been getting from any and all living beings around her. Clem looked to be enjoying herself quite a bit, like there wasn't anyone or anything in this world that could bring her down at that moment. However, Clem seemed to be so lost in her own little world that she failed to notice that she danced her way right into route 29, leaving the safety of New Bark Town behind her. But would preying upon this seemingly oblivious young woman prove to be a brilliant idea or a big mistake for any wild Pokemon or trainers that may have been drawn in by the sounds of her music?

New Bark Town was filled with the joyous laughter from kids playing in the snow, skating on the icy spots and building snow mons. Several of them started to dance to the music as Clementine passed, although they kept doing what they were doing so they stopped when she had danced out of hearing. to them it was just a nice addition to the day. The dancing trainer got several strange looks from adults who saw them past the point of childish actions like dancing to music in the public, what wouldn't other think?! At first her dance on the route didn't affect much, most pokemon scurried off as soon as they heard anything human like and she could dance through the snow undisturbed. As she continued a few curious ones hung around after having scurried to a safe distance, watching her confused, tilting their heads at the sounds from her phone. A brave pidgey came swooping in and soared beside her for a bit, before it flapped off again, and soon other wild pokemon began to close in, listening confused to the sounds and wonder why she was moving like that. As nothing happened to them, she soon had a long tail of a variety of wild pokemon following her, including several wurmples. Then one of the worms shot a string shot at the phone and gave it a hard pull as it wanted a closer look. The moment the music stopped, or Clementine turned to see what was going on, the spell was broken and the wild pokemon dashed off to safety. Except the wurmple who froze and stared wideeyed at Clementine. Wurmple [Lv 5] wants to investigate the music. Weather will be Chinook (slippery)Shiny: 6L04SoAIp_1-421-42

Despite her relaxed and carefree demeanor, Clem was fully aware of all the looks she was getting from the adults she danced her way passed, having experienced plenty of reactions just like those from people in the past. Still, she didn't stop her song and dance routine for even a brief moment. In all honesty, she didn't care in the slightest what a bunch of completely random strangers thought about her for a second. Besides, as far as Clem was concerned, acting her age was boring. In her opinion, it was far more fun to be whimsical and unexpected, continuing to sing and dance to the music coming from her phone for as long as she felt like it. And pretty soon, without intending to, the silver-haired female had become something of a pied piper.
Unlike the humans she passed, Clem didn't notice the attention she had been getting from the various wild Pokemon at first, far too lost in the melody to do so. Then, out of nowhere and before she even knew what was happening, the music came to an abrupt stop, as Clem's Rotom phone was yanked right out of her hand by something behind her. As soon as this happened, the Galarian trainer immediately lost her smile in favor of a more surprised and puzzled facial expression. Coming to a complete stop, Clem turned right around to see who or what stole her phone from her, surprised once again to find that it was a lone Wurmple. But rather than get mad, Clem simply smiled at the small Pokemon as soon as she was through processing this surprising development.
"Oh, you like my phone, little guy? Yeah, it is pretty cool, isn't it? I'd be more than happy to show you how it works, if you give it back to me, that is. So, how about it? Can I have my phone back please?" Clementine's tone was friendly and gentle, without even the smallest hint of anger to be had. She could tell just by looking at the Worm Pokemon that the only thing motivating the small creature was curiosity, and she wasn't about to harm a wild Pokemon for a reason like that. However, Clem's own Pokemon felt very differently on the matter, as one of her Pokeballs suddenly popped open all on its own. This time, however, Clementine wasn't the least bit surprised by this turn of events, as the Pokemon that manifested by her side had done this plenty of times before.
"Are you kidding me?! First you're clueless enough to let a wild Pokemon steal from you, then you just let it off the hook?! Urgh! Toughen up and grow a backbone, you damn zombie!" The Pokemon in question was Clem's Riolu, and she was not at all pleased with her trainer's attitude, yelling and glaring up at her from where she stood. While Clementine herself wasn't prone to fits of rage, the Emanation Pokemon more than made up for it herself. But even in the face of such rage and insults, Clem only smiled down at her Pokemon friend, used to Riolu's attitude by now and simply refusing to take any of it personally. "I know you're always watching my back for me, Riolu. So, it's all okay, right?"
In response to her trainer's reaction, or lack thereof, Riolu let out a heavy sigh, then made use of her Quick Attack to dash over to Wurmple, swipe the phone back from the Bug type, return to Clem's side, and toss the rectangular device back up to her. All in the space of only three seconds. Although, it took Clem far more than that to try and catch her phone, having never been very good at catching things with her hands, desperately trying not to drop her phone in the snow. "There! Now, if you won't fight, then I will! And so will he!" While Clem was busy catching her phone, Riolu took advantage of her trainer's abysmal about to catch, jumped up to Clem's bag, grabbed another Pokeball from within, and unleashed the Pokemon inside. This time, it was Passimian, who quickly gained an understanding of the situation upon turning to face his trainer and fellow Fighting type.
"Let me guess. You're call the shot again, Riolu?" The Teamwork Pokemon asked his teammate in a knowing tone of voice, tossing the coconut in his right hand up and down repeatedly as he waited for said teammate's response. "You know as well as I do how this damn zombie is in situations like these. So, yes. It looks like I'm in charge...again. Now, use Rock Tomb on that Wurmple over there. Think you can handle that?" Riolu gestured to Clementine as she spoke to Passimian, then pointed over at the wild Wurmple behind him and gave him a set of orders. Passimian stopped tossing his coconut, turned his head, eyed the small Bug type, then placed his coconut on the ground, cracking his knuckles and neck in preparation for battle. "Yeah, I'm on it." Passimian simply stated, then dug both of his hands into the ground, dug up some fairly large boulders, and hurled them right at his first foe of their adventure through Johto.

The curious little wurmple just wanted to investigate the music. It stayed there frozen, unable to really respond. It...wanted the music box thing. The one the others tried to take. Maybe it could just— More sticky gunk sprayed from its face as it tried to web the phone again, but the passimian got between it and its target. <I...I don't wanna fight!> it squeaked. <I just wanted to know...I wanted to know what was making that noise and then the others and and and...> It shivered fearfully, looking around as the much bigger pokemon closed in. EEK! Its eyes got all big and watery and its little nubbin legs wiggled. <I'll go, I'll go! Don't hurt me!> Aaaaand that's when it was smushed under some rocks. The wurmple scree'd in alarm. Oh. That hit was weaker than expected. Like a baby. Was it possible this was a baby? Oh glorious day! It could still escape in one piece. Just...after...it got out from under these rocks... Ironically, Clem finally managed to catch her phone at the exact moment Passimian's Rock Tomb made contact with the wild Wurmple. "Phew...That was close." After breathing a sigh of relief, the Fighting type trainer checked to make sure that her phone still worked. Thankfully, there weren't any problems to be had. That being said, there was still a battle unfolding between said Wurmple and some of her own Pokemon, which she finally took notice of about a minute after catching her phone. Mostly due to Riolu's continued yelling. "Oh, you don't wanna fight?! Then you shouldn't take things that don't belong to you! Our zombie trainer might be a pushover, but nobody steals from any of us and gets away with it!"
Despite the Emanation Pokemon's continued insults, Clem was still touched by her words, smiling at her and returning to her side. "Awww, thanks, Riolu. I knew right from the moment we met that you were a sweetie." Hearing this, Riolu turned to face her trainer, then let out a sigh of exasperation, bringing one paw to her forehead at the same time. "Urgh!...We've only known each other for a few days. Oh, Arceus, why did I have to get stuck with a trainer who literally fell on her head?" Even now, Clementine was completely unfazed by Riolu's insults, giggling a few times at the pure Fighting type's reaction. Of course, there was still the matter of the battle to address, which both Clem and Riolu quickly refocused on after Passimian tore himself free of the webs that were shot at him.
"Man, this stuff is gross! If you two are done with your little lovers spat, can we get back to the battle before this Wurmple pries itself free please?!" The Teamwork Pokemon glanced over his shoulder at his pair of comrades, waiting for either of them to give him his next set of orders. "Shut up! It's not like that between us and you know it! Just hit it without another Rock Tomb!" Once again, the orders were given by Riolu, who blushed and glared at Passimian after his "lovers spat" comment. Clementine blushed a little herself, but giggled some more, finding it to be rather amusing as well. "Well, since it appears we're really doing this, we might as well see it through. You little ones do need to gain some experience after all." With that, Passimian faced the trapped Wurmple yet again, dug up some more rocks, and flung them at the Bug type for a second time.

Breaking free from the String Shot, the Passimian was ready for another go at the Wurmple again, but wrestling the gross insect sticky trap had worn his ability to run fast. The Wurmple continued its curiosity by replying, "I am not stealing! I am just curious what that thing is and why is it making music!" It cried out. "It sounds... interesting! Can your human share the music again?"Once it got out of the last bit of rocks, the Wurmple vomited a volley of poison stings at the Passimian. "That string shot wasn't that gross! What's gross is playing music to get us interested and then say I'm stealing!"The fighting type resumed by hurling more rocks for the poor Wurmple to crawl and to struggle out of once again. It groaned in pain. "OOUUUCH! That hurts! Can you hum the tune instead?"Wild Encounter Weather: Slippery [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Wild Wurmple LV 5 HP 48% [10/21]

Once again, all eyes were on the wild Wurmple as soon as it spoke up, and Clementine was more than happy to answer any and all questions the small Pokemon had. "Well, of course! I'd be more than happy to share my music with you again, little one." Although the Worm Pokemon didn't actually seem to be talking to her, Clem still smiled, holding up her phone and pressing a button on it, causing music to flow from the small device yet again. But this time, the song was different. There were still no lyrics to be had, but it sounded like battle music. "First off, this amazing little device is called a Rotom Phone. Isn't it cute? I had the case on it special ordered from another region and everything."
Indeed, the case covering Clem's Rotom Phone was unlike any that could be found in the stores of her home region of Galar. The case itself was mostly bright green in color and looked almost like the face of some kind of Pokemon, but not one that any Pokemon of Johto would have seen before. "It would take too long to explain how it can play music, but I have over 300 songs saved on it. Pretty cool, right? Always happy to meet a fellow music lover." While the Galarian trainer was acting friendly, Riolu simply couldn't keep her own mouth shut, facepalming, letting out yet another sigh, and slowly shaking her head from side to side before doing so.
"And by the way, my trainer isn't a human. Haven't you been listening, Wurmple? She's a zombie. Ya know, the living dead. And don't ask me about that, because it's a long story. Far longer than the remainer of this battle." Riolu's tone of voice remained the same, as she mentally hoped that this bout wouldn't end up dragging on for that long. "Awww, c'mon, Riolu. You know I still have a beating heart in here." Clementine was once more unoffended, turning to face her small, blue companion with a smile still present upon her face, pointing to the left side of her chest as she spoke. And what she said was indeed the truth, as a heartbeat could be heard coming from the Fighting type trainer if all else was silent enough.
However, all else was not silent at this time, as the battle music continued to play from Clem's phone, causing Passimian's blood to really get pumping. Ripping out the poisonous stingers that got stuck in his body, the Teamwork Pokemon stood tall and began to beat his chest like the primate he was. "And I've got a beating heart right here! One that tells me that victory will soon be ours, my friends! So, let's get back to it! Hit me with another move!" Happy to see one of her Pokemon enjoying the rhythm, Clem finally made the effort to give her Pokemon some orders herself, beginning to dance where she stood once more. "Your wish is my command, Passimian! Use Rock Tomb again!" For the third time since the battle began, Passimian dug up rocks from the earth, and flung them right at his Bug type opponent.

Hitting play on the music APP seemed to do the trick for the wild Wurmple, as the small insect Pokemon paused in its track and seemed to crane its head and neck towards the Rotom phone. Suddenly, its facial features changed a little bit and smile creased up on its face. Closing its eyes, it bobbed its head in time with the music for a few moments, tapping one a foot in time with the beat. The Wurmple looked like it had died and went to audio heaven. After a few more moments, the worm Pokemon seemed to remember that it was in a Pokemon battle and it opened its eyes, before staring down the fighting monkey. Suddenly, it took off at a much faster speed than anyone would ever expect from a young worm. Lowering the top of its head, it plowed into Passimian, knocking the monkey totally off his feet. In fact, the Wurmple hit so hard that the fighting type almost dropped his melon ball, which truly would have been a tragedy. Proud of itself, the Wurmple looked around, searching for the music as Passimian got back onto his feet. Wurmple squeaked in surprise as the rocks came crashing down again, the red worm barely avoiding being crushed by the pointed stones. The battle seemed to be fairly even, as if the next move from one side or the other could be the deciding factor. As one might expect, Clem was very happy when she saw the Wurmple jamming out to the music that came from her phone, looking over at the small Bug type and smiling happily at it. "Yeah! That's the way! Feel the rhythm and let it move your body for you!" The Galarian trainer continued to do the same herself, dancing to the music that came from the Rotom phone in her left hand. Passimian continued to enjoy the music himself, tossing his coconut all around himself as he did. The only one who didn't seem to be enjoying the sounds was Riolu, who let out a heavy sigh as she pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. "Urgh!...Why me? This is gonna end badly somehow. I just know it."
Then, just as the Emanation Pokemon predicted, Wurmple plowed into Passimian with a powerful Tackle attack, fueled by the fight song that played from Clem's phone. "SEE?!" Once again, Riolu sprang into action, jumping onto her trainer's back, digging through her bag, and pulling out a single Potion. As soon as she had it, Riolu jumped off of Clem's back, ran over to Passimian, and sprayed his wound with said Potion. "There. How are you feeling? Can you still fight?" Riolu questioned her fellow Fighting type, giving him a few moments to catch his breath before answering. After getting his stamina back, the Teamwork Pokemon smiled and nodded at his teammate, giving her a thumbs up with his right hand.
"Yeah. I'm good. Thanks, Riolu. And sorry. I got pretty into the music there." Passimian scratched the back of his head with one hand and chuckled a bit, which caused Riolu to roll her eyes in exasperation as a result. "Yeah. I noticed." Riolu then looked over at her trainer once again, who was still far too lost in the tunes coming from her phone to be of much help in this situation. Once more, Riolu let out a heavy sigh, but chose not to dwell on it and immediately turned back towards Passimian. "Okay. Our zombie trainer is too brain dead to do anything besides dance, so I guess it's up to us to win this battle. So, let's try Rock Tomb again. That Wurmple can't have much stamina left at this point." Following up on Riolu's orders, Passimian nodded, then faced Wurmple, and dug up even more rocks to fling at the Worm Pokemon.

As soon as the passimian was healed, the wurmple was running again. It was all up in passimian's face, head down, as it slammed into the primate hard. Before passimian to recover, the worm had rounded back around to slam into his back. Those two blows in quick succession wiped out all the strength gained from the potion. However, clinging onto those last couple fragments of HP, the passimian managed to grab another rock and—yes! Hit the wurmple with it. The blow was hard and harsh, slamming into the worm's head and sending it reeling and rolling. Then it laid there in the snow, momentarily stunned and at a loss for what it was doing. It would probably be a while before the little worm got back up. But hey. A successful battle in the end, yeah?

The battle music still playing from Clem's phone, combined with the rush of winning the first battle of his entire life and the massive power boost he got from it, caused quite the reaction from Passimian. Gaining a great, big smile upon his face, the Teamwork Pokemon let out a loud battle cry, tossing his coconut up into the air has high as he could, then beat his chest triumphantly with both hands. "WOOOOOOOOOOO!" Passimian caught his coconut on the way back down, standing proudly over his defeated foe with his chest puffed out and his muscles flexing. "Oh yeah! First win, baby! You tried to beat me, but you were no match for this Pokemon!" Not long after that, the fight song finally came to an end, and Clementine finally noticed her Pokemon's first ever accomplishment.
"Oh, yay! You did it, Passimian! I knew you would! I'm so proud of you too!" Gaining a big smile of her own, the undead trainer ran over to her Pokemon's side, then knelt down beside him and gave him a big hug. Still, as touching as this scene was, Riolu only rolled her eyes yet again, then brought both her trainer and teammate back to reality. "Will both of you take it easy? It was just a Wurmple. Save the enthusiasm for when we actually accomplish something big. Like winning our first gym badge, for example." Turning to face the small Fighting type, Clem was once again unfazed by her mean comments, and only smiled at her once more. "Awww. Does little Riolu want a hug too?"
Hearing this, Riolu flinched, then immediately used her Quick Attack to put three feet of distance between Clem and herself, taking a martial arts stance afterward. "Back off, you damn zombie! Touch me, and I'll show you everything I learned from that sister of yours!" This only made Clem giggle a bit though, as she stood back up on her feet, then called Passimian back to his Pokeball for a well-deserved break. "Whatever you say, cutie pie. Why don't we find you a wild Pokemon to battle now though? You and the rest of the hatchlings on this team have still got quite a way to go, and I think snacking on some experience will help calm your nerves. Munchy, munchy, babies."
The Galarian trainer giggled once more, earning another sigh of exasperation and a slow headshake from the Emanation Pokemon, along with a quick facepalm. "I agree with the content, but not the form. Let's just find more wild Pokemon to battle. And please, just leave the commands to me." Riolu then turned around, taking the lead and hiking towards another part of route 29. Continuing to smile, Clementine followed Riolu's lead without complaint, almost like she was the Pokemon in need of training. "Like I said, whatever you say, cutie pie." Hearing that nickname caused more of Riolu's fury to show itself, as she glanced, glared, and yelled at her trainer yet again. "Stop calling me that, you braindead abomination!" But once more, Clem only giggled, then proceeded to play another upbeat tune on her phone.

The ground was getting slushy as the weather started to warm. It was still pretty cold, but it was clear that spring was right around the corner. That meant wild pokemon were becoming more active. Amongst those wild pokemon was a little rattata who was scurrying about, helping his mama find the last of the hidden food stores. It would be a little while before food was plentiful again and all of the rattata in the colony had to work together to make sure every belly stayed full. This was its first winter, so in the frantic warm-time rush to get things done, it strayed from the other rats and ended up in the middle of an oddly flat stretch of ground. It paused and dug a bit in the slush, getting mud on its paws and belly. Then its ears twitched, picking up a strange noise. Oh. A human! And other pokemon. Its ears flattened to its head and it began to did even faster. <Gotta find the food. Gotta dig faster.>

As the temperature began to rise, the snow under Clem and Riolu's feet began to melt into a mixture of slush and mud, which made their hike far messier, to say the least. It took a great more than some messy feet to get Clem down, as the Galarian female continued to happily hum and walk along route 29. Riolu, on the other hand, was more than a little annoyed by this, doing her best to shake the mud out of her fur as she strode alongside her trainer. With another frustrated sigh escaping from her lips, the Emanation Pokemon was even more eager to get battling and win some experience of her own. Fortunately for her, the rising temperature meant that the pickings for wild Pokemon weren't as slim as they were when they first arrived in Johto. Of course, she was still pretty fresh out of her egg, and lacked Passimian's higher stats.
As much as Riolu hated to admit it, if she was going to win her first battle, she was gonna have to wait for just the right moment and rely on her undead trainer for assistance. However, the Rattata they came across was far from the ideal opponent for Riolu. Not only did it look like its level was much higher than hers, but Riolu didn't actually know any Fighting type moves that she could use against it. "Oh! A Rattata! A Normal type! Wanna give it a try, Riolu?!" Clem suddenly spoke up, stopping her humming and turning to face her Pokemon, excited by the prospect for their first battle together. The Fighting type trainer was well aware of all of Riolu's disadvantages herself, but she still believed in her friend. Even if said friend didn't believe in her in return.
In response to her trainer's question, Riolu only glanced at her, not saying a word. Rather, she once again made use of her Quick Attack, grabbing another Pokeball from Clementine's bag, and sending it out onto the battlefield in her place. Clem was once again surprised by this, watching as her Hawlucha materialized between them and the wild Normal type. Although his appearance was rather sudden, the Wrestling Pokemon still struck a total of three confident poses in the space of two seconds, flexing his muscles as he did. "Did somebody call for a hero?! Fear not, ladies! I'll protect you from this lone rodent! Just leave it to me!" Hawlucha's voice was every bit as confident as his posing was, as he took great pride in himself. Both as a Fighting type Pokemon, and a self-proclaimed hero.
Even though his appearance wasn't what Clem had in mind, she still smiled at her Pokemon, waving to him and offering him plenty of encouragement. "Thanks, Hawlucha! Guess we'll leave this one up to you then! It's all up to you, hero!" Riolu jumped down off of Clem's back, sweat dropping at the antics of both her trainer and teammate, but refused to let those feelings of exasperation distract her for very long. "If you really wanna be a hero, then prove you've got the strength to back it up, Hawlucha! Use your Drain Punch on that Rattata now!" Just like the last bout, Riolu was the one shouting out orders. Not that Clem or Hawlucha minded, of course. "With pleasure, my lady! This mouse won't know what hit it!" After striking a few more quick poses, the Fighting/Flying type clenched his fist and charged straight for the wild Mouse Pokemon.

The young rattata paused to sniff the air nervously as it looked at the human and her pokemon. It's whiskers twitched as it tried to decide if it should run to safety or try get some food first. It decided food was more important, not knowing it was decisions like that which often lead to captures and worried mamas who never knew what happened to their babies. It wanted to make its mama proud, showing it could help feed the colony, that it was a big rat now and not a baby she had to fuzz over. It wasn't like the strangers really acted aggressive so it was probably safe to continue to forage, it was really hungry and it was looking forward to spring. It almost couldn't remember it as it had been very young back then but it had been like paradise and it couldn't wait to for that carefree time to return. It's head jerked up and it froze, not sure it really believed what it saw. Some strange pokemon were rushing at it and its whiskers twitched nervously, unsure of what to do. It stomped a foot warningly but Hawlucha just continued, so the rat jumped out of the way and tackled ham from the side, sending the part fighting type sprawling onto the ground. The rat stomped with both its front legs as a clear warning to the strange bird to stay away, then it darted over to the hole and began to dig frantically. It was almost there, then it would dash off with the food back to the safety of its home. Hawlucha wasn't going to stand down and he rammed the rattata with his fist, sending it rolling over the ground. Ouch, that had hurt. Hawlucha felt a lot better after that. Rattata may not have been a baby anymore, but Hawlucha sure was, almost falling to the ground after only a single Tackle attack. Fortunately for him, Drain Punch was doing its job, allowing him to stay on his feet and continue battling. The Wrestling Pokemon may have been mature for his age, and had access to an assortment of powerful moves, but would all of this be enough to help him win this battle? From the looks of both him and his opponent, the end of this battle was likely gonna be a very close call. Still, high stakes were just how Hawlucha liked it, fighting through the pain, pushing the thoughts of defeat right out of his head, and striking a few more battle poses. "Vile creature! Hawlucha kneels before no one! I do regret interrupting your mission to gather food for your loved ones, but I cannot say that I'm sorry about the smack down I'm about to lay down upon you! Prepare yourself for defeat!"Once again, Clem found Hawlucha's behavior and antics to be quite entertaining, giggling a little before cheering him on some more. "Yeah! Alright! You tell 'em, hero! Don't worry though, Rattata! Even if you lose here, I've still got some food I'd be more than happy to part with so you don't go hungry!" The Galarian trainer also called out to the wild Mouse Pokemon, feeling kind of bad about attacking the lone Normal type while it was just trying to gather food for its family. "I'm surrounded by idiots..." Riolu commented to herself, not fond of the words or actions of Clem or Hawlucha in the slightest, but still made the effort to call out Hawlucha's next command. "Just shut up and hit it with another Drain Punch, Hawlucha!" At Riolu's command, Hawlucha struck one more heroic pose, then charged in for a second Drain Punch attack. OOC: No, you got it right the first time, Tarlar. No swaps here. Thanks for asking though.
