"Conspiracy? Please, I just want what is mine to be returned to me." the Lady whined, her cheeks puffing up in a somewhat comical pout at the slowly worsening situation that she had found herself in. First the boy had taken it, now a bird, and this girl was trying to come up with some silly little story about it like she was part of it! She just wanted to get home and take a hot bath and forget this entire situation ever happened in the first place.

The bird was fast, though the bag weighed it down and forced it close to the ground. The lady's fear that the bag might be dragged through the dirt and mud wasn't completely unfounded, clearly. If this battle went on for too long, she would be getting her bag back full of holes and tears if at all. The Spearow glared down at the Squirtle that had been sent out to counter him, its eyes glowing a pale red as it transmitted its villainous intent at the Starter Pokemon, a shiver running down Shelbert's spine as his defenses dropped.

Despite this, the stream of water that shot from the Squirtle's body still came out and struck the bird, soaking its body and knocking its flight path slightly off-kilter. The lady shrieked out her concern, "Ooh, try not to get it too wet! It's not good for the leather!"

"You know, I really wouldn't be so choosy if I was you." Ellie huffed. She made a fool of herself, and now, to add insult to injury yet another low down varmit wanted to make off with her prize. Anyone else would have cut their losses and given up. Ellie, however, was determined to chase that bag. Surely this had to be it. Afterwards she'd give the lady her bag, get her reward and book it to Cherrygrove.

Then this whole little detour would be edited down and included as a foot note in her legend. Plus she'd have a bunch of money to buy more things! Thus the cycle would continue. That was assuming she would win, which as much as she was planning on it, had yet to happen. "Shelbert...just...do the shell spinny thing!" Ellie was fairly certain leather was waterproof but she'd had enough nagging for one lifetime. If it would shut the high heeled horror up, she'd just play along till she got her reward.

The soaking wet bird Pokemon tried to swoop up into the sky, but the bag it was holding was keeping it from being able to do so. Instead it flapped its wings as high off the ground as the heavy bag would allow it to. It gave the turtle Pokemon a dirty look as it was preventing its escape with the lady’s purse. It didn’t look like the little girl’s Pokemon was going to let him get away easily, so he knew he was going to have to fight back harder.

The Spearow just flew towards the turtle as fast as it could, as it went for a Peak attack on the trainer’s Pokemon, with the bag still in its beak. After the Spearow connected with the Peak, it wasn’t long before the little bird Pokemon was soon hit with a Rapid Spin from the turtle in retaliation. The bird Pokemon landed hard on the ground from the attack.
