"GET OFFFFF!" she screamed, still frantically swinging her bag at the worms, tears in her eyes, her face flushed with upset. She finally shook the one wurmple off, just in time for the shinx to bite down on it. The wurmple let out a scree of alarm and confusion and its friend whipped around to see what was going on. There were more humans and pokemon that were charging at them. Its eyes got all big as vines lurched out to grab at its thorny body. The wurmple instantly began to flail around in protest.

<Hey! We're not doin' anythin' wrong!> the grabbed wurmple insisted, managing to squirm free and bonk the bulbasaur on the head. <Look, we're going. Right, see? We're...>

Its friend sprayed goopy webbing to the shinx's face to try and gum up those sharp teeth. Irate.

The girl, noticing she was finally free of buggy passengers, peeked her eyes open, "What...who? Oh! You've come to help! Thank you so much! Those terrible bugs attacked me!"

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion : Off | Time: Day Raion was not the Pokémon to come pleading to during tough or awkward situations. A wild cat with a fierce personality that seemed to lack the classical brain-to-mouth filter most learned to have early on, she held no sympathy for the Wurmple. “You were messing up my fun. That’s what you were doing.” She pointed out with a loud yowl. She stretched her limbs across the ground with her nails unsheathed. They clawed the earth itself, pulling up bits of dirt and small weeds in their wake. Once she straightened herself back properly, she noticed the two caterpillars slowly wriggling off to the safety of the trees nearby. This was good. There was a nuisance of an ape that asked for a rematch. It was Raion’s chance to show Zuko and extinguish the prideful fire that burned from his rear end, by putting him in his place. She was swift, with legs that could scorch the earth itself from the speed and dexterity of her runs. This was the kind of confidence Raion had locked away inside of her being. “Yeah…we’re here to…help. See…they’re off…” Zaiden spoke to the young schoolgirl, struggling to maintain an even and calm tone. She eventually calmed down and turned all of her emotions into excitement at Tai and Zaiden’s appearance and offer to help. A small smile played on the corners of his lips, accompanied by a short chuckle. “They probably don’t…mean you any…real harm…” Zaiden tried to point out, his voice quivering from the extra effort to continue his conversation. If she disagreed? That didn’t worry him too much. But if she got defensive and tried to turn it into some kind of match between them? The intrusive thoughts bubbled at the back of Zaiden’s mind, fighting against his earnest efforts to shove them back deep inside of his brain. “There must have been a huge hatching this season.” Zaiden calmed, turning back to Tai’s earlier comment with a laugh. Raion pushed the other Wurmple with the tip of her nose, hurrying it across the grass-ladened ground towards the tree nearby. “Now, crawl on up into that tree and get lost!” She snapped firmly. A singular glance was given to Zuko with a wild smirk. Their rematch was definitely set in stone, just as soon as she managed to remove this pest from her visage. “And you’re on, as soon as we finish cleaning up here!” She retorted firmly. “If you don’t Torchic out first. Bugawk!” She egged him on, hoping to keep the competitive match lit between the two of them. They were near-perfect on being evenly matched, with mischievous tricks up both their sleeves, which made things twice as exciting altogether. OOC: Raion uses Bite on Wurmple 1. Words: 457 | Speech. Vines extended from Saku's bulb on her back as she attempted to grab the thorny body of one of the Wurmple's that was precariously positioned on the young girls shoulder, making her squirm and squeal like she was living out a nightmare in the middle of the day. The red worm pokemon flailed around in protest to Tai's Bulbasaur's actions, its cry of innocence seemingly betrayed by its actions as it squirmed free of Saku's grippy vines and launched itself head first at her, bonking her right in the noggin.

I'm trying to help you, what part of that doesn't make sense?

Saku wasn't pleased with her gentle caring nature being so easily taken for granted, her heart was in the right place however it seemed the bug type pokemon could care less about such matters. Raion was soon covered in a sticky goo like substance, like some sort of silly string that wove around her body like an off-kilter webbed sweater. The pair of Wurmple were clearly more devious than it first seemed. Zuko snapped back at his rival, a sour taste in his mouth after literally being called a chicken in front of all these people, his blood was boiling, the fire on his tail burning a crimson red as his passion and desire to prove to Raion that he was indeed superior to continued to grow with each passing moment,

Without any cheating and shenanigans you're about as quick as a Slakoth ya little pussy, keep jawing those gums and I'll start jabbing them kapish?

Saku's attention was split, despite the fact that Zuko was her teammate in Taiki's party of pokemon, her connection to Raion was a stronger one and so she vouched support to her new friend by continuing to side with her against her chimp-like partner,

Once again monkey brain, pick a fight you can actually win you buffoon. Now stay quiet while we handle big girl business

Taiki was cool, calm, and collected as the frantic events played out in front of he and Zaiden, this entire scenario of events seemed very mild to what he had already dealt with earlier. It was subtle but Tai managed to notice again that Zaiden was having some difficulty with social situations as the young girl thanked them for assisting her, his voice did not ooze the same level of confidence as Taiki that was for certain. Tai pondered within the inner workings of his mind as to how he could assist his new friend with his evident social anxiety, all that he could offer for the time being was a reassuring voice of reason,

It's our pleasure! While there's an excessive number of them, it seems these Wurmple are mostly harmless little ones just caught in the hustle and bustle of many moving parts along this route.

Whilst Raion was taking a much more aggressive approach to moving along one of the Wurmple to a nearby tree, Saku stuck to her laurels and continued to use her vines to gently try and maneuver the other Wurmple away from the scene and off into the safety of the nearby shrubbery.

"I don't care if they 'did not mean any harm' or whatever. They were ON ME and I DO NOT LIKE THAT. Bugs are soooo grossss. They have these little wiggly legs and stingers and they get goop everywhere and they're all wormy and squirmy and creepy and crawly and...ICK!" She shuddered visibly, shuffling away from the wurmples now that they were finally off her person. "Now shoo, bugs! SHOO SHOO SHOO! Nobody likes you!" She waved her bag defensively, still clearly rattled and upset.

Raiden, despite behind covered in string shot, still moved faster than the wurmples and flattened the one bug with another strike. Saku grabbed the wurmple that was still bonking them on the dome, off their head, and threw them away, the both of them still fairly healthy even after this whole exchange. However, that left one single worm left to defend against two foes.

It shivered in alarm.

IT DID NOT WANT THIS!!!

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion : Off | Time: Day The young teen’s heart dropped. This girl wasn’t willing to listen to either of them try to explain to her why the Wurmple meant no harm. Though they squirmed and wiggled about, most likely scared out of their minds of everything that was happening around them, the bugs became the target of the young girl’s hatred and frustration. He bottled his words up, choking on them for a moment, and simply shook his head in disappointment. A quick glance to Taiki held a glimmer of hope that his friend might have felt the same way as Zaiden did about the matter. Raion scoffed, puffing up her fur as short bursts of electricity leaked out from the pads on her paws. Zuko took some serious jabs, most likely hoping that they would cause Raion to feel some sort of way. It worked. Her whiskers twitched as she dug her paws into the dirt of the earth and sent a large clump flying backwards in the fire monkey’s direction. “No one likes a sore loser, my friend.” She jeered, sticking her tongue out at her opponent while blowing raspberries. “You tell him, sis.” Raion nodded, blowing more raspberries at Zuko as she turned her attention back to the battle at hand. Saku probably wanted to help the two bugs along their eventual journey, but Raion couldn’t care less either way. They were a nuisance and a distraction, so they needed to be removed one way or another. “Hey, didn’t you hear what I told your friend?!” Raion raced over, her mouth wide in an attempt to bite down on her opponent. Hopefully, to carry that one off to the tree’s side as well. “You both need to get lost now. Got it, little weakling?!” She snapped gruffly. Zaiden eventually stuffed his anxiety down as he struggled to find the words to say. “They can’t help what they are…” A deep sigh crawled off his tongue. It took a lot of effort and time for him to manage the words. Normally, Zaiden wasn’t positive he would have been able to. Though, the fact that the Wurmple couldn’t speak for themselves coupled with the strength of having a friend close by – or at least strong acquaintance if nothing else – seemed to give him a little bit of courage. “You wouldn’t want to be hated just because of what you were born as…right?” Zaiden tried to level with her peacefully.
