Maddy and Mimiko, however, anticipated the move. Mimiko nimbly dodged the snowy spray with a light leap, while Maddy stepped to the side, brushing off the snowflakes that grazed her coat. Her mind raced—this wasn’t just a scared and tired bird; the Pidgey still had fight left in it. Instead of a single attack, Maddy decided to up the ante with a new strategy.
A smirk tugged at the corner of her lips as inspiration struck. She called out confidently, “Mimiko, we’re switching things up! Gather more snow and launch a series of strikes—make it rain snowballs on that Pidgey!”
Bulbasaur growled in agreement, vines snapping out like a whip to scoop up snow at a rapid pace. Mimiko formed a small arsenal of compacted snowballs, stacking them into a neat pile at its side. With precision and enthusiasm, the grass-type Pokémon began hurling them one after another, the flurry of snowy projectiles aimed carefully at the wild Pidgey.
“Keep it up, Mimiko!” Maddy cheered, the snow-covered battlefield now bustling with energy and strategy.

The pidgey shook its feathers, all this moving around was actually warming it up a tiny bit. It wouldn't last long and it knew it, it really needed to find something to eat after this as it was burning up a lot of energy. It eyed the human and the bulbasaur, the latter who hadn't wanted to chat and had ignored its earlier comment, so the bird stayed silent this time around. What were they up to? Surely not something good with all that snow they collected and formed beside them, not with how aggressive they had been until now, they had started to attack it after all, when it had crash landed in front of them. It began to preen its feathers furiously as it had a feeling it would need its wings soon. "Gey!" the pidgey squawked with surprise when the air suddenly got full of snowballs, its wings fell and it stared speechless at the flying snow, which seemed to fly in slowmotion. It jumped when one of the snowballs hit the ground a few feet from it, and it ducked as another flew closer over its head and landed on the ground behind it. It spread its wings and jumped, narrowly escapding a third one, the next few balls of snow were far from hitting it which was the risk you took when you traded precision for speed. It was not a thing Mimiko had practiced per so, and throwing both precise and fast would require some training. Pidgey gasped with an open beak, it was a tough battle, and it was still cold and hindered by the ice on its feathers. It got a determined look on its little face as several snowballs came sailing towards it and it flapped its tired wings faster, setting up a gust of wind which managed to slow down the snowballs enough for them to fall down before they hit it. An added bonus to that was the the gust of wind continued and buffered the bulbasaur. The bird was tiring quickly and it had to slow down before the onslaught of snowballs ended, and one hit its mark, smacking into it and senting it looping backwards and dropping to the ground like a rock. It landed in a puff of snow, which would take most of the fall. Wild Encounter Weather: Drab (Clear) [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Wild Pidgey LV 7 HP 12% [3/24]
