This small tranquil town is the home of Professor Elm; of who is more than happy to give a starter Pokemon to any new trainer who visits him. Recently he has been giving out Charmander, Squirtle, & Bulbasaur to new trainers due to the recent theft of his stock of Johto starting Pokemon.

There are only two ways to get into this small village: eastward across the water to Route 27, which leads to Kanto and the Elite Four; or westward into Route 29 where all new trainers go to start their journey.

Complete, at minimum, 1 Battle on Route 29 to progress to Cherrygrove.

Assistant Researcher: Professor Elm would like to speak with trainers a final time before they head out on their adventure! He's looking to team up with them so that he can capture data on Pokemon in the region.

Dying Wish: Kent is looking for an experienced trainer who can help him out with a big request. He'll reward trainers who take on his request along the way.

Route 29
Wild Levels 2 - 8

This short route serves as the only path between New Bark and Cherrygrove. Patches of tall grass scattered about provide homes for some of the most common Pokemon in Johto, though depending on the time of day you may not see some of them. If no time is marked then they can appear at anytime (Eg: Spinda). As well, no Alolans will come near unless you have the Trial Amulet. Near Cherrygrove is a small pond where a plethora of Magikarp can be found with the use of a fishing rod.
