(Sorry if this seems rushed, needed sleep.) Spearow of course didn't care about avenging the Pidgey, it'd lost on it's own, nor was it really his friend. But it was what his Trainer wanted so he guessed he didn't really have much of a choice in the matter. But he was always up for a Battle anyway, so he guessed it worked out in the end. "Alright Spearow, I want you to hit the Ekans with Peck, and Doduo, use a Growl to lower their attacks." Peter says to both of his Pokemon, and they get ready to do so, but Tempesta and Veleno were faster. Tempesta knew how to follow her orders, and how to use Quick Attack the right way, so hitting the Doduo from behind wouldn't be a problem. So she seemed to disappear, only to show up again when she was hitting the Doduo's body, specifically it's back like she'd been ordered. But the Doduo was still able to remain standing anyway thanks to it's rather wide feet, it was still a very bad hit though, it had left a bruise and cause some internal damage to the somewhat large bird. Veleno on the other hand had been ready for Tempesta's attack to land, he didn't want to hit her with his attack, but she'd been fast enough to be out of there already anyway. So he glared at the Doduo as best he could, happening to catch the Doduo's gaze, which scared the bird into having some paralysis. But Doduo was still going to try it's Growl, it had it's orders. So it took a deep breath, before releasing the air in a Growl to lower the attacks of the two Pokemon it was facing. While it did seem a bit odd for a scared Doduo to let out such a great Growl, but when backed into a corner creatures tended to be better in a fight. And now the Spearow finally had his turn, he charged Veleno at his full speed, flying right for him he hit the Ekans, and it seemed like those videos of a hawk grabbing a snake for lunch, except that he only cut the snake with his beak rather then grabbing it in his talons. It hadn't gotten anything major though which was lucky for Veleno, so as the Spearow headed back to Peter, Veleno got back into position. The four Pokemon then started to wait for their next set or orders. Double Battle Spearow | Level 11| Doduo | Level 12| Health : 100% Health : 52% Status : Normal Status : Paralyzed; Attack -1 Attack : A successful Peck Attack : A successful Growl. Tempesta | Level 12| Veleno | Level 12| Health : 71% Health : 39% Status : Normal; Attack -1 Status : Normal; Attack -1 Attack : A successful Quick Attack. Attack : A successful Glare.

Though the Doduo had not fallen, the attack had hit hard enough to leave the bird ruffled. It had teetered, and then righted itself as Tempesta hightailed it out of the way of danger.
Veleno's Glare was timed perfectly, inflicting a terrifying paralysis on the avian. But the other two Pokémon retaliated in kind, with Doduo unleashing its orders first. The shrieking growl it emitted was enough to cause both of Tanya's Pokémon to flinch back, Tempesta clapping her paws over her ears.
She glared nastily at the Doduo, dancing on her feet and mock punching the air. It was going down. And then the Spearow was in flight, cutting a path straight towards Veleno before slicing at the Ekans with its beak.
The snake hissed loudly, thrashing about in his displeasure. Fiero echoed this, the Meowth trying to leap forwards and back into the fray. Tanya lunged forwards and caught the feline before he could make it, and lifted him off the ground, flailing madly. Her arms became covered in multiple scratches as he furiously tried to escape her clutches.
She bit back a sigh and held him at arm's length until his fury faded, going limp in her hands. The girl put him on her left shoulder and scratched under his chin. "Veleno's a big boy. He can fight his own battles," she chided the tawny cat gently.
Fiero huffed and crossed his arms over his chest, frowning at the Spearow as it fluttered back to Peter, who seemed to have wizened up somewhat and was not blabbering on about their 'date'. Tanya blinked, the sunlight almost harsh as it rose higher and higher into the sky. It seemed like almost hours had passed since beginning their battle, when it was more likely to be only minutes.
Then she abruptly realized they were waiting for her. "Oh! Tempesta, get in close and use a Water Gun on Doduo!" she called out, hurrying over to her backpack again while trying to keep Fiero from falling off.
She knelt down and quickly drew out a Potion before rushing over to Veleno and spraying his fresh wound with it. The Ekans hissed again, but remained still, knowing that this would help him. "Kay, you might take another hit but, I'd like you to use Glare on that Spearow too."
The whispered command was acknowledged with a raspy hiss, Veleno slithering forwards to face in the hawk's direction, rising up again off the ground. He locked eyes with it and glared malevolently, hoping to pierce it and scare it into immobilization.
Meanwhile Tempesta had surged forwards, approaching her target before halting several feet away. She leaned back and inhaled greatly, readying the water she had sloshing away in her stomach.
And then the Buizel leaned forwards, forcefully expelling a stream of jet-like water straight at the Doduo's two heads, aiming to startle them and perhaps distract the Pokémon from successfully retaliating.

Peter had in truth not stopped thinking about his future date, but he also couldn't stop thinking about how Pidgey had already been defeated by this girl and so far her Pokemon had seemed to be stronger then his own. Luckily she wasn't attacking with both of them yet, which would allow him to cause some damage before she was able to faint another one of his Pokemon. "Alright, Spearow you attack the Buizel with your Peck and then the Ekans, and Doduo, hit the Ekans with a Quick Attack. We need to end this Battle quickly." Peter says to his two Pokemon. So Doduo moved ahead, before it froze in the middle of it's attack, it's paralysis prevented it from attacking this round! Spearow on the other hand was able to attack ahead of Veleno this round, and flew right at Tempesta, hitting her in the torso, it had left a gash in her left side, as the Spearow had flown past her for a slash rather then a stabbing blow. She was still able to use her own attack though, firing out a huge stream of high pressure water at the immobile Doduo, it hit the poor bird head on, which on top of doing some heavy damage had also knocked the thing down. After being healed by the potion, Veleno wasted no time in using his own attack, and glared at the Spearow, just like he'd done with the Doduo. But sadly he had failed to capture the bird's gaze, and his Glare had missed the target. But of course this allowed the Spearow to attack again, flying at Veleno this time. He'd once again managed to hit the snake with his attack, but thanks to the Potion Veleno still had plenty of health. After this the Pokemon, even the Doduo who had managed to get back up, started to head back to their Trainers to await their next orders. Double Battle Spearow | Level 11| Doduo | Level 12| Health : 100% Health : 31% Status : Normal Status : Paralyzed; Attack -1 Attack : Two successful Peck attacks. Attack : A successful Paralyze. Tempesta | Level 12| Veleno | Level 12| Health : 53% Health : 72% Status : Normal; Attack -1 Status : Normal; Attack -1 Attack : A successful Water Gun. Attack : A failed Glare.

Veleno was now refreshed and ready to fight the good fight. And despite both of her Pokémon taking a hit from the Spearow, who was hale and hearty, she was going to focus on the biggest trouble maker - Doduo.
Fiero rode on her shoulder, watching the battle with a little bit of resentment. He could be in there, helping to shred those birds into meaty piles of bone and feathers.
But Tanya had already expressed that he stay out of it, and though he resented her for it, respected her choice. His amber eyes flashed as Veleno tried, and failed, to land a Glare on the hawk. He'd be terrorizing the little bird if he was still in the game. But simply fantasizing about it wouldn't help.
He'd get his chance later. For now, it was Tempesta and Veleno's turn to shine. With the Doduo perilously close to going down, now was the chance to strike. A smile split her lips apart, flashing her teeth. "This is it, guys. Tempesta, get in and soak it with another Water Gun!" Tanya called confidently with her usual flick.
Tempesta grinned a ruffian grin and sped forwards, leaping up to confuse the bird. As gravity called her back, she opened her mouth, exposing her sharp teeth briefly before the torrent of water she fired out obscured them.
Tanya's Ekans waited patiently with a cruel smile, tail rattling in anticipation for his trainer's command. The girl paused momentarily, cupping her chin with her left hand and tapping her cheek as she thought her strategy out.
Doduo would probably take the Water Gun and be left standing, so she would direct Veleno to take it out and leave Spearow at their mercy once it was down. "Follow up with a nice Poison Sting!" the auburn-haired girl commanded her snake, who hissed his agreement.
He slithered forwards silently, golden eyes locked hungrily on the mutant bird. Tempesta had already swept back to avoid being caught in the crossfire, and left his path clear.
"Kanss..." Veleno drawled, rising up off the ground to stare hypnotically at his victim. Then his jaws flew open and he sprayed the dual-headed avian with his favourite poison nettles. Tanya almost pitied the poor bird, and then remembered what damage it had inflicted upon Tempesta at the start.
It was as good as dead.

VS.
Peter was terrified. His precious Doduo was very vulnerable and he couldn't do anything to stop it!
"No! Doduo! No!" he hollered as the Buizel shot towards his beloved bird. Water was shooting out of its mouth now and it seemed to knock Doduo straight to the ground. In the cloud of dust that accumulated around Doduo, it was impossible to tell whether it had survived the fall.
Suddenly, Peter's attention shifted as he heard Tanya call out another attack. Shit! What could he do? The Ekans she called Veleno was slithering towards the great mountain of dust around his precious pokémon and it was helpless! Veleno's mouth opened and shot out white dart after white dart towards the ground. A small whimper came out before stopping. The dust parted; Doduo had fainted.
"No! Doduo! Noooo!" Peter rushed towards his fainted friend and began to sob onto its body. "You are going to pay for this! Spearow, Fury Attack on that Buizel," he spat. Spearow rose into the air and flew towards Tempesta, it was going to pay for fainting its friend!
Spearow shot downwards at Tempesta, aiming for its face. Spearow began to viciously scratch and peck the Buizel for exactly 5 seconds. It flew back towards Peter, its talons and beak were dripping blood onto the ground as it flew. Peter and Spearow turned to admire its work together. Tempesta had clearly fainted as small scratches and holes were pierced into its skin with a slight trickle of blood from each.
"Well done, Spearow," Peter said with a broad grin on his face. "You fainted that dastardly Buizel!"

((btw, t'is three levels x3 doduo = level 12, both veleno & tempesta = level 12, and there's a zero level difference, so plus three ~ i'm gonna handle this myself though ~ no worries about me cheatin' the system eh? and just for the curious, tempesta learned Swift and forgot Pursuit in its place))
And it was done! Tempesta surveyed the fainting of the Doduo haughtily, arms crossed over each other, as Veleno made sure the bird was down for the count.
Until, blinded by rage, Peter sent his hawk to seek vengeance upon her. The Buizel cried out in pain and rage as she was barraged relentlessly by the Spearow's beak and talons, inflicting a multitude of wounds. When it was over, Tempesta staggered back, clutching at a rather nasty wound on her shoulder.
She growled, but sagged to her knees and flopped onto her stomach, her energy depleted. Veleno hissed throatily, his tail rattling like mad against the ground. But Tanya was there, rushing over to her fallen warrior and stroking the Buizel's fur reassuringly. Tempesta opened one eye blearily.
"Bui... bui?" she rasped, her one blue eye shimmering uncertainly. The girl smiled at her Pokémon and nodded, carefully lifting the Buizel by the stomach and pulling her away from the battlefield.
Once done, Tanya sat her by the rest of her team and rifled through her bag, retrieving Tempesta's ball.
With one hand she silenced the otter's cry of protest. "You did good, sweetheart. Get some rest for me," the teenager cooed, tapping the petulant looking Water type with her ball and returning her.
Fiero slid from her shoulder at this point and padded over quietly to where Saphira and Angelus observed the battle with identical looks of annoyance on their faces. He plopped himself down right between them, causing Saphira to jump and Angelus to blush. Perhaps she had a small crush on the feline?
No one took any notice, however, as their master rose back to her full height and strode over to where Veleno continued to hiss madly. "Let's teach the flying feather duster some manners, huh Veleno?" she announced at random.
Veleno peered at his trainer and then smiled cruelly. His gaze returned to the Spearow, as menacing as ever, with a cold, sadistic light to them. Though Tanya didn't quite feel as sadistic as he could, she did want to see Peter's last Pokémon felled in a last, final swoop.
"Get up close and personal and take a nice Bite out of one of its wings!" Tanya ordered with her signature flick. Without verbal agreement the snake began to slide forwards, his tongue tasting the air.
Perhaps he wanted to taste the Spearow's fear as it saw the great purple serpent coming for it. His expression was malicious, and he yearned to gobble it up whole. "Kanssssss," Veleno hissed unpleasantly, throwing his body forwards in a flash, his jaws opening wide and aiming to sink into the wing on his left - the Spearow's right.

"Alright, it's just the Ekans left now! Birds hunt snakes so this will be an easy win for us Spearow! So lets win this for our fallen comrades and then celebrate!" Peter called out to his final Pokemon, the thought of his opponent having more Pokemon didn't cross his mind, he couldn't picture a loss, not after working this hard already. "Alright Spearow, hit it with your powerful Peck attack again! We will end this quickly!" he yells out. Sadly for the bird, Veleno was now faster thanks to it's increase in power from the battle. So the Ekans charged the Spearow at a high speed, with his mouth wide open as he lunged for the bird's body. He managed to grab onto the Spearow's torso, grabbing a rather large amount of the bird's flesh, Spearow of course tried to get away from it, which only made the wounds worse, resulting in a Critical Hit and causing Veleno's fangs to dig even deeper into the target's flesh, causing a much worse wound. Once Veleno did finally let go and head back over to his Trainer, the Spearow fell to the ground in pain, it flailed around for a bit, but it was clearly in too much pain to attack this round. Veleno smiled to himself and hissed, he was very pleased with the results of his attack. He was now awaiting orders as the Spearow slowly got back up to do the same. BattleSpearow | Level 11| Health : 51%Status : Normal; flinched Attack : A successful Flinch. Veleno | Level 14| Health : 72%Status : Normal Attack : A successful Bite. Sinking his fangs into the bird's flesh was a feeling so satisfactory Veleno was loathe to let go and retreat. Luck had favored him this turn, causing the beast to flinch and take a critical amount of damage. Lips stained scarlet in a morbid mockery of a kiss, the serpent drew back with a hiss, his golden eyes flashing.
Tanya assessed the wounded Spearow critically. It would be easy to take it out if it were paralyzed, but she'd lose a crucial turn to have her Ekans use Glare. Not to mention the whole deal of it actually working - the last attempt had failed.
Poison Sting was more type-friendly to Veleno, but there was still the issue of strength. She bit her lip, restraining a frustrated whine that tried to escape her throat. Oh, decisions, decisions!
Who knew how long her luck would last? The girl gnawed her lip some more, ignoring Veleno's head turning her way and an impatient hiss escaping his mouth like the way air escaped a punctured tire.
But nothing would hurry her thoughts along, so Veleno huffed a sigh and returned his hungry gaze to the dazed Spearow. Then Tanya's emerald eyes sparked with intuition.
Though there was nothing shocking about what she was about to say. "Veleno, Bite it again. Go for its neck!" she said abruptly, flicking her fingers in a very casual manner. The Ekans rasped a hiss again, slithering forwards to get up close and personal with the feathered menace.
Eyes locked on his prize, Veleno opened his mouth wide, baring his fangs menacingly at the hawk, then drove his head forwards, aiming to bury his teeth into the Spearow's neck.
Meanwhile, Angelus had escaped away from Fiero and Saphira and was now rooting through Tanya's bag before pulling something out with a cry of joy. Distracted, the flame-haired teenager turned away from the battle before chuckling. Her Buneary came hopping over, one paw clamping tight a cute purple ribbon.
"How did you know I bought that for you?" she teased, crouching down to face her Pokémon eye to eye. With gentle fingers she took the ribbon from Angelus and tied it around the one ear the Buneary left standing up.
Tying it firmly but gently, Tanya patted the sweet rabbit on the head and beamed at her. "Buneary! Bun bun!" Angelus sang, pressing her paws adorably to her cheeks.
Then she hopped right back on over to Fiero and prodded him in the side, showing off her new bow imperiously. The Meowth looked down, smiled weakly, then resumed watching the battle much to Angelus' dislike.
Once more Tanya chuckled before rising fluidly to her feet and turning back around to watch how her beloved Veleno was handling himself.

(I swear it was better first time I wrote it... darm proboards logging me out...) _______________ Veleno hissed in reply to his master's direction, moving like lightning to strike the bird, catching it around it's ruff. It squacked and cried out with suprise and pain as they both fell to the ground, bodies writhing as one. "No Spearow!! Get out of there by suing Peck!" Spearow let out one last cry and sent it's beak deep into the skin just below Veleno's eye. With a hiss the snake let go and retreated, curling up to rub teh wound with the tip of his tail, glareing daggers at Spearow, coughing up a couple of feathers. Spearow on the other hand, seemed to have taking a beating. It staggered slightly as it got up, wincing as it looked at itself. A chunk of it's ruff seemed to be missing and it let out a cry in suprise and pain when it saw what the snake had done. Spearow knew it was almost over, but with a glare it steadied itself. It was going to give all it had before it went down. ~~~~~~~~~~~Fight~~~~~~~~~~[/b] Spearow Health : 31%Status : *hack hack* i hate you...; NormalAttack : A successful Peck Veleno Health : 72% Status : u gonna die; NormalAttack : A successful Bite.

Even Fiero flinched when the Spearow pecked just below Veleno's eye, leaving a small rip where his blood oozed out in small rivers. He flicked the blood away impatiently with the rattled tip of his tail, making fling some droplets at the agonized hawk crouched down not far from him.
Though Tanya didn't like how unnecessarily cruel he could be at times, he was an expert battler and would probably prove insanely useful in tough times. The girl sighed faintly, her gem colored eyes shimmering in the sunlight.
After she was done with this battle, she'd go restock on items again and then come back to train the rest of her oddball assortment of Pokémon. She wanted to be prepared for the inevitable gym battle she would undertake by the end of the day, after all. And Angelus was at the top of the list.
Almost completely zoned out, the girl didn't even noticed when Veleno came slithering over with a vehement hiss and slapped her legs with his tail hard enough to cause her to stumble. "Gah! Damn it Veleno!" Tanya spat, fixing her snake with a frosty glare. He huffed in response and glided back to his position in the field.
She blinked once, wondering how she'd let her mind wander so quickly. "All right Mr. Hissyfit, give it a dose of your Poison Sting then!" she snapped at her Ekans, still feeling cross that he'd actually had the gall to strike at her.
With morning in full effect, the sun lent her hair a gorgeous hand by making the red really pop. It also superheated the top of her head, making her uncomfortable. She fidgeted restlessly, wishing that she could go find some solace in the shade and be done with this whole battle already.
Her little plan for Peter was still ready to be sprung, but she'd have to exhibit some patience before she could even try it. The thought made Tanya smile, and eased her irritation.
Emerald eyes dancing mischievously as they watched Peter, she honestly wondered if he had any idea what she had in store for him, the fiery-haired teenager hailing from the rough and tumble city of Blackthorn.
Veleno, on the other hand, didn't giving a flying shit what his trainer wanted to do. His focus was solely on the battle at hand, a battle which he intended to slither away from victoriously. The snake raised himself off the ground and opened his jaws wide, letting the air in his lungs rattle out in the forewarning of what was to come.
"EKANSSSS!" Veleno hissed, spitting out a flurry of his poisonous nettles at the cumbersome Spearow he so dearly wished he could eat.

Veleno could tell that this Battle was almost over, the enemy bird could barely stand at this point, not to mention that he was stronger then the bird anyway. There was no way it was going to end differently, but the damn Spearow was putting up a lot of fight for something that was destined to lose this fight. But even though he knew that he'd win, it was starting to get annoying, the Flying-type and it's Trainer seemed to think that the Spearow would be able to turn this around and win. He'd show them why it paid to not get your hopes up. So when he was told to use his Poison Sting, an attack that not only caused pain but also gave him the chance to poison this pesky bird, he was pretty happy about it, so he "fired" the many small needles from his mouth right for the Spearow, hoping to get as many hits as possible. The bird was of course to weak to move, so it was hit by several of the needles, and enough to cause some damage, but in his eagerness to attack, Veleno had rushed his attack a bit which caused him to miss with some needles, preventing a lasting poison and the attack failed to knock out the bird. "Alright Spearow, we can still take this snake, hit it with another Peck! It can't have much health left any more!" Peter said to his only remaining Pokemon. The Spearow was of course still weak for major movements, but this was still within it's ability so it ran at the Ekans as quickly as it was able to given the circumstances. Luckily it was still fast enough to hit Veleno and it's beak hit Veleno just below the yellow band on his neck. Although, it had sliced it rather then the attack being a stab. Still it was a clean hit and had dome some decent damage, it wasn't about to fall over yet! Spearow then went back to it's Trainer while both Pokemon awaited their orders, both of them glaring at the other. BattleSpearow | Level 11| Health : 12%Status : Normal Attack : A successful Peck. Veleno | Level 14| Health : 37%Status : Normal Attack : A successful Poison Sting.

She couldn't believe her eyes. It was still standing, even after all it had endured? Fan-fking -tastic. Tanya narrowed her eyes, her coolness about the whole affair slipping away with her irritation.
She pinched the bridge of her nose with a frustrated sigh. It would go down in the next turn, sure, but this whole battle was tiring her out more than she'd like to admit.
Even her Pokémon seemed shocked the resilient hawk was still standing. Fiero licked his chops, as if prepared to spring in and take a bite out of it. Saphira seemed concerned for Veleno's well-being, but he was a tough little guy and didn't need anyone's worry.
His golden eyes looked simply luminous, and pissed, as he hissed in pain at the Spearow for the shallow wound pulsing in pain. Tanya sighed lightly, smiling ruefully at Peter as she regarded him and his persistent little bird. Oh how revenge was going to be sweet.
She still intended to dish it out; the girl still felt insulted by the way he had tried to pick her up and assume they would go gallivanting off on a date while insinuating her Pokémon were weak.
And neither her, nor her Pokémon, would let him live it down. Tanya seemed to radiate smugness as she leered down at the perilously close to fainting Spearow. "Little mockingbird... let's put you in your place," she said in an almost poetic voice.
Anticipating an attack order, Veleno smiled cruelly and began to slither close to the Spearow, circling around it with a hungry gleam to his eyes. Her audience leaned forwards, excited to see the battle draw to a close.
Tanya cast her hand out in her signature move, fingers splayed in the hawk's direction. "Put it out of its misery, Veleno. Bite!" the fiery-haired girl commanded. The Ekans hissed throatily in reply.
Jaws opening into a yawning hole lined with sharp, mean little fangs, the purple serpent hurled himself at the back of the Spearow's head, aiming to once and for all banish the annoying feathered critter to the realms of unconsciousness.

"Don't give in Spearow! We'll win in this round, you just need to hit that snake with another Peck! We won't give them the satisfaction of winning!" Peter yelled out, still thinking he could win. But Spearow listened, quitting wouldn't do a damn thing at this point, but there was always the chance he could beat this snake and if he didn't try it was pointless. So he charged the Ekans as quickly as he could, though this wasn't that fast due to his wounds, but he'd decided to make the most of his final charge, there was a chance to win but in his heart he knew he wouldn't. So the bird scratched Veleno with his beak, just as the Ekans bit down onto the Spearow's head, which of course was the final bit of damage the bird could take. It had done very well to this point, but everything had limits and Spearow's were reached. Veleno of course was proud of his accomplishment, and as such started grinning after he'd released the unconscious bird from his teeth before he headed over to Tanya. He, a snake had beaten birds. Shows what nature knew, snakes weren't easy prey for birds anymore! If he was still a wild Pokemon he could have started teaching his brothers and sisters of this fact! But for now he just calmly waited for Tanya, he wasn't about to start jumping for joy or anything, he had to let his wounds heal after all. Peter on the other hand started crying due to his birds being defeated and threw the money, all £256 of it, at Tanya before picking up his Spearow and falling to his knees as he sobbed. He'd failed as a Trainer and a man this day. He failed his Pokemon in Battle and had failed to impress his opponent it seemed, so he cried. Congratulations, Veleno grew two levels to to level 16. Now the question remains, what are you going to do to Peter now that you've already broken him?

((Note: Dani's gonna a little here so I can move this along ;P))
When Veleno finally managed to knock out Peter's Spearow, Tanya let out a cheer of victory. Her Pokémon echoed her joy by adding their voices to celebrate.
Tanya knelt down to assess Veleno's wounds with gentle eyes and fingers, poking timidly at the wounds he sported like some sort of gladiator serpent. He hissed in contentment, golden eyes looked proud and arrogant. The girl smile and ushered him off to wait by her assembled team, so that she could deal with Peter.
Seeing a man cry... well, more a boy really, was a sad, terrible sight. But it had no effect on her, and for all she knew, he was faking it to earn her pity and turn that into a guilt-trip date.
One of her eyes twitched as she straightened up her spine and clomped over to him, plastering a megawatt smile on her face. She bent at the knees and retrieved a ball clipped to his belt to return his fainted Spearow. Next she grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him up, in an ironic twist of how they first met. Tanya batted her eyelashes at him and gave a flirty smile.
Fiero uttered a low growl, claws springing free. He would save his trainer from this moronic human! A paw shot out and yanked his arm back, drawing a furious hiss from the feline. His amber eyes looked back into the sapphire blue of Saphira's. She shook her head at him and then smiled knowingly, pointing at where their master stood, still gripping Peter by the shoulders.
"Aww, don't worry doll. I'll forgive your earlier ramblings about how a girl's Pokémon are weak. Just do one thing for me first, and then how about that date?" Tanya began in a sultry tone, shaking her head to let her mahogany colored hair swirl around her.
She could see a faint glimmer in his eyes and smiled more deeply when he nodded. "Good. Close your eyes," the girl continued, stifling her giggles as he eagerly complied with her request.
Boys.
Tanya removed her hands from his shoulders and balled up her right into a fist, remembering to tuck her thumb inside her curled up fingers to prevent hurting herself. Then she took a single step back before she swung it right into Peter's chin, striking him in an uppercut that knocked the poor birdboy out in a heartbeat. He toppled to the ground without a cry, felled like a bird by a stone.
Peering down at him, Tanya rubbed her hands together and smiled perkily before turning to face her Pokémon, all looking awed and slightly fearful. She trotted over to her bag and pulled out assorted Poké Balls, returning all of them besides Angelus, who giggled madly and blushed, and Ignitus, who seemed nice and snug napping amongst her things. Then she carefully zipped up her bag, leaving it partially open to allow Iggy to breathe and returned to the unconscious Peter's prone form with her Buneary tagging along right at her heels.
Grabbing his body with a great display of her upper body strength, Tanya hauled the drooling, lolling Birdkeeper down to the sidewalk where people still walked. A woman in a red business blouse and skirt ensemble gasped in shock as the girl handed over Peter to her with a smile.
"He sorta tripped over a rock and knocked himself on the chin hard enough to knock himself out... call him an ambulance or something, 'cause I have some really urgent things to do. Thanks!" Tanya babbled quickly, scooping up Angelus and racing in the opposite direction.
Her breathing was still normal as she approached the Pokémon Center and entered through the sliding glass doors. She hurried on over to the front desk and rifled through her bag to hand three of her Poké Balls over to Nurse Joy with instructions to heal them.
And then she smacked herself in the forehead, causing the nurse to pause, glancing at the trainer suspiciously. "I just need to run to the Mart for a sec... I'll be back in a jiffy for them!" Tanya explained, drawing a nod and smile.
Exiting the Center, Tanya and Angelus walked down the sidewalk at a normal gait towards the Mart she'd visited earlier, entering it to do a little extra shopping.
-- 10 minutes later --
Tanya walked back into the Center looking cheerier, Angelus riding on her shoulders happily. Nurse Joy bowed at the waist as the red haired girl approached her desk. "All healed!" she said cheerfully, returning Tanya's Pokémon to her. The girl nodded in relief and stowed the balls away in her bag before once again departing the Center.
It was late morning by this point, the sun almost at its peak. The air was warm, a cool breeze keeping it from being too balmy, and it just smelled wonderful, disregarding the typical city smell of automotive exhaust and cat pee.
With a shrug she glided smoothly over the sidewalk, a bounce in her steps. Once more she found herself angling towards the park, but this time heading towards the pond located at the heart of it.
Angelus let out a little cheer and hurried over to the water's edge, peering at the sparkling sheet of blue that seemingly stretched on forever. Tanya stopped behind her and sank onto a bench, sighing happily as the sun warmed her body up nice and slow. Maybe she'd actually tan a little...
And until something came along, the duo enjoyed their momentary peace, listening to the sounds of Pokémon and humans as they went about their respective days.

MEETING.
As the sun was beginning to heat the park up, it began to have a more negative effect on some of its inhabitants; namely, the Shellos population. The sun was begin to dry them up as they awoke from their night's sleep. Around this time of year, the Shellos were always much more sleepy than normal (they were getting close to their hibernation period) so they were all waking up mid-morning and feeling dry.
One particular Shellos woke up slightly earlier than the rest so was already on its way to the pond when the others were opening their sleepy eyes. Dashing to the pond, the Shellos was relieved to find the water cool, crisp and clean. Soon, though, the water was teeming with Shellos and it couldn't find any room to move about so it did what it thought it should: get out.
On the way back to its favourite berry bush, Shellos was absent-mindedly pondering the position of the sun in the sky relative to the time of year when it walked into a dark blue structure that was blocking its path. Looking up, the structure was connected to a woman, in fact, it was the legs of a woman. The leg didn't seem to move when it bumped into it so it did the best thing it could: shooting a stream of water at her.
Shellos stood there waiting to see whether the girl or her legs would move.
