A FARFETCH'D CHASE
[Entering from Luminous Vale]
After a long, long chase that had at last taken the trio consisting of Nadia and her two Pokemon, Chuchu the Pikachu and Cheeky the Swellow, far off track of the main path. Looking behind them, the forest path wasn't anywhere to be seen at all. It was nothing but complete thickets now, no sign of a safe house or anything. It was all wilderness.
"So... Cheeky..." Nadia panted once she caught up with her bird, hunching over and resting her hands upon her knees as she made an attempt to catch her breath. "This... so... sorry, so this is the area where you think you spotted... ha... Farfetch'd?"
"Wellow swell!" Cheeky chirped loudly and with plenty of pride. Allowing his trainer to get her second wind briefly, he then led them once more not too far ahead of where they stood. Before them was now a thicket of ferns, the exact location where he was certain where he saw a Farfetch'd it! It was no doubt a bird Pokemon carrying about an onion stalk, that much he was certain of. Not a lot of other Pokemon seem to fit that description! Seemingly pleased with himself, he turned to the side and used a wing to grab hold of the fern leaves, pulling it away like a game show host revealing what was behind curtain number one!
"Swel-low!" ("Ta-dah!"
"...pika... chu."
Behind the canopy of fern leaves, there appeared to be a large amount of nothing there. Absolutely nothing. There was a pocket in there where the ferns and little branches have been moved around, like it was a sort of nest in making, but its inhabitant was clearly not hiding there.
"Uhh... Cheeky? Nothing is there." Nadia regretfully informed her bird.
Taking a double take, Cheeky was highly disappointed to realize that she was right. Oh, this was embarrassing for him now! He could've sworn that the wild duck had been sitting right in this little nest, hiding from everybody. Had it seen Cheeky before and fled deeper in the forest? Did it hear them coming because they weren't being sneaky? Was it all a coincidence and it just decided to move on its own? Or maybe it was never there to begin with! Well, everything except for the last one seemed plausible to the bird, but it was still just frustrating to come all the way out here for nothing.
Patting the discouraged bird on the head, Nadia knelt down next to Cheeky and smiled. "Don't worry, buddy. If it was here, it couldn't have gotten very far. We're on the right track."
Standing up and reaching for a Pokeball, Nadia decided she would need a little extra assistance for this hunt. Leonardo? No, he's kinda slow and bulky, so getting around these woods would be hard on him. Strawberry? A bit too young, plus she ain't bred to be some bloodhound or something. Riolu? Well, no doubt he'd find the bird in a heartbeat, but he'd probably kill it just as quickly too. Then the last Pokeball came up and it was Richie's. He wouldn't be too bad here. He's got a decent smelling ability, plus he could be pretty nimble, too.
"Right! Richie, come out!"
Throwing the Pokeball up to the sky, it exploded in a burst of dazzling light and out popped the little blue eyed Quilava. He yawned loudly and took in a deep breath of air through his nostrils. Mmm... smells like autumn leaves! He'd been cramped up in that Pokeball for a bit too long, so it was nice to be out of it for some leg stretching.
"Okay boy, here's what I want you to do." Picking up Richie in her arms and carrying him over to the fern nest, she set him inside. "I want you to see if you can't pick up a scent from in there, got it? Then I want you to see if you can't find a trail that may help lead us to Farfetch'd."
Oh, so that's what he was brought out for? What a complete let down. Richie was hoping he'd be able to run free and wild for a while in these woods, find a nice pile of fallen leaves to roll around in and just act like a little wild animal for a bit! But NOOOOOOOOO. He has to be assigned to be a sleuth detective. He really didn't care to so, but the trainer's orders are the trainer's orders.
Raising a disappointed brow at the request, Richie lowered his nose and started to sniff about. Well, he could tell something WAS here not too long ago, but whether or not it was Farfetch'd he couldn't tell. It's not like he ever went up and smelled the Pokemon before; he hadn't the slightest clue what this duck would smell like. But deciding to follow the scent, Richie lead Nadia, Cheeky, and Chuchu into the Gleaming Hollow deeper.

Whether or not the cheeky goose had been sitting in the comfortable looking nest was besides the point with nothing now gracing the vicinity. Judging from how brilliant Cheeky's vision was from above in the air, it was highly implausible the bird could've been wrong. Unless... There were other Farfetch'd that roamed these woods which were wild. Nonetheless, deciding on sniffing out the Pokemon's scent and then tracing it that way was a brilliant decision. Except... There wasn't really much to compare it with. Either way, with the whole group now following Richie as the Pokemon made its way trailing where the odorous scent led, it was only a matter of time before a revelation would be made. Now much deeper into the Gleaming Hollow, they all abruptly stopped as it seemed Richie had come to a conclusion. Lifting its head and then perking its nostrils, it seemed that the Quilava had made some progress. It gestured its head with a nod and seemed to be indicating that the Pokemon was no longer in this specific area. The trail seemed to pick up at one of the exits. However, before the fiery mammal could try and communicate any further, there was a rustle from the trees above them. Given how vast this forest was, it wasn't too impossible for there to be wild Pokemon roaming about. Looking at the source of the disturbance, a sudden emergence from the foliage alerted everyone as a green blur hurtled towards them as gravity took its course. Encounter

A FARFETCH'D CHASE
Well, that was certainly... a unique experience. Nadia hadn't planned on battling the Metapod right off the bat, but Richie had different things in mind. There he went, be all rash and unreasonable again. Well, everyone has their own personality and Richie went the path of a rebellious child.
"Alllrriiiiight then... you didn't have to be that harsh on a Metapod, there, Rich." The Quilava just snorted, acting bored with this. "Still going to need you to lead the way, Richie. But no more ambushing defenseless Pokemon like that, or no supper for you. Got it?"
The Quilava huffed as Chuchu and Cheeky just sighed. Yeah, like that'll stop the fire mouse from eating. All he has to do is do the classic "HEY! WHAT'S THAT?" trick on Leonardo and quicker than one can say "pigs in a blanket", the food will be gone. As far as Richie cared, it was an empty threat.
Shrugging it off, Richie blew a few embers from his nose and proceeded forward. Chuchu rested on Nadia's shoulder and Cheeky again went into the sky. The group trekked into a neck of the woods where it seemed to be draped in a brown tinted fog.

As the tree branches above her head began to thicken and the rays of the sun became more scarce, Sharada couldnt help but feel an eerie shiver run down her spine the further she pressed on into the wilderness. Cries of birds and other creatures bounced off of tree trunks and hit her right in the ear drum, the cautious brunette jolting about nervously incase some sort of giant forest monster was watching her from the bushes. But even the odd rustle of foliage only turned out to be something silly like a Caterpie. Feeling as uptight as Sylvester, it was becoming clearer by the minute as to why he didn't dare venture in here himself. Well, there was only one way to cure her loneliness.
Ignoring the packet of cigarettes this time around, Sharada instead reached down for her Pokeball holster, chosing one lone Pokeball before gently tossing it upward and catching it immediately. Smiling softly at what lingered inside, she shook her head upon thinking back to what trouble it had caused her in the past. Setting off so many traps it had almost caused a whole building to collapse due to annoying her Smeargle so much. Even now the serpent still hold that sly glare but it was much more easier to be around. Gently throwing the red and white sphere to the ground, it clicked open to reveal a beam of light, the ball flying back to Sharada's hand as the light began to morph into the shape of... Arbok!
The purple serpent cranked open it's jaw, letting out a low yawn before cracking her mouth back into joint, thin tongue slithering between her lips. The cool air felt nice on her violet scales aswell, after being trapped in the PC for what seemed like forever it was very welcoming to be able to stretch out her body once more. Infact, that is exactly what Arbok began to do. The fact she had been sent out with no battle in front of her probably meant that this was just a stroll. Brushing it's large hood against Sharada carefully, the snake began to slither through the foliage, hoping to find something nice for supper whilst not quite going out of her trainers eye range either. "Arbok, we've got ourselves a pair of rogue Farfetch'd we need to keep an eye out for so if you see anything feathery, try not to eat it, alright?" Recieving a understanding hiss, Sharada began her aimless stepping around the Gleaming Hollow area.

As Sharada searched through the glittering hollow, she seemed unaware that something was following her. A little purple ball of fuzz was following her from behind, watching her every move. It wasn’t threatened by her at all, but in fact, very, very intrigued. Not many Humans passed through the hollow too often, but when they did, Venonat liked to stalk after them. “Veno…Venonat?” This small cry alerted Arbok, who turned a swift gaze on the stump. Shivering, the Venonat stepped out from behind it, staring up at the duo. What would they do, now that they knew it was here? Would they battle it. It chirped lightly, quick on its small paws. “Venooo!” it quickly sped to the front of Sharada, blocking her path…or so it thougt. It was all a game to the young Venonat, and it didn’t seem to know much better. Letting a soft shiver grip its body once again, it sneezed. Maybe it was sick? Well, either way, it wanted a battle, and it certainly hoped Sharada would give it one, and make it happy. It was really bored! __________________________________________________ Warning!Wild Venonat (Level 12) has appeared! Fight!

Not being able to celebrate the capturing of the newest addition to her team, Venonat, to the fullest due to her raging beast Bellatrix, Sharada turned to her armour plated queen with a hand on her hip and frowning brow. Arbok had begun to explore once more, her body slithering against the ground so that she became as flat as possible, tongue hissing about, dying to try and gulp down some sort of innocent, passing rodent. Delphine still stood with her mind in absolute horror after being shoved about like some sort of rag doll, hiding behind Sharada's legs as the brunette began her explosion of rage.
"Bellatrix! What the heck do you think you're playing at?! I get that you wanted to stretch those ooh so ancient bones of yours, but that is no excuse to hit your own team mates! You are big and powerful, Delphine will probably be scarred for life!" Sharada's attempt at a strict word fell on deaf ears, the large Nidoqueen merely grunting before looking up at the dim light which shone between the branches, shedding all but a small amount of light on the situation. Letting out a small sigh upon realising that the stubborn mule wouldn't even blink at the thought of apologising, the trainer lifted up her Pokeball to call the beast back, "You're returning for the mean time, missy. And dont even think of popping out without my permission or hurting our team mates again otherwise you'll be sent back to the box. Ya hear me?"
This time recieving a begrudged snort, Sharada shook her head in disappointment before returning the large beast back into her Pokeball and placing it back on her belt. Giving her sly Arbok a quick glance as she slithered into a row of bushes, Sharada now had to tackle her shy Ralts who was still shivering. The poor little dear jumped out of her skin at the sight of Sharada opening her lips and she didn't even say anything! Well, this was turning into a dilemma, the last thing she wanted was for her team mates to hate or be scared of one another and Delphine looked well and truly spooked. Feeling that the dense forest wasnt the time nor place to have a heart to heart, Sharada cautiously withdrew the Ralts back to her own Pokeball aswell, leaving her back in the company of Arbok again. Sure, the snake was a bit sly and mischievous with it's love of traps and snags but atleast she was having... fun, sliding about.

Paras had been admiring its mushroom collection when it had heard a loud noise coming from behind it. It waddled over behind a bush and peered through to see a trainer and her pokemon playing about. Paras blinked a few times at the enormous poison type pokemon, it was huge! Practically Godzilla compared to Paras. It watched the trainer carefully and quietly making sure not to make any sudden movements or noises, it didn't want to have to take on that huge beast! It turned around to see a large snake pokemon staring at it right in the eyes. "PARAAAAASSSSSSS!!!!!" it screamed and ran to the right.
Paras had ran and ran and decided to look behind itself to see the wherabouts of the Snake pokemon. Phew! Paras had lost the darn poison type. Now that it hadn't been pursued it started walking carelessly into a different direction. Not bothering to take much consideration into wear it was going it just walked in a straight path. Little did Paras know Arbok had been following it the whole time, making sure to lead it back to Sharada. Arbok wouldn't want to eat the disgusting thing anyway, why not have a little entertainment out of the little thing? Paras had walked right up to Sharada without knowing. It felt a shadow on in and looked up to see a scary trainer! Paras backed up and prepared for a battle. Paras (level 15) would like a battle!HERE!

OOC from previous battle: For some reason Santeri already has Mirror Move. xP And yeah, Delphine should get 2 levels. 1 for being tossed in and taken out again but it gained an extra due to Lucky Egg~ Also ignoring Teleport.
Wincing as Santeri recieved a good swipe to the face due to the tiny Paras' sharp pincers, she cringed even more at the sight of her loyal Fearow lashing open his wings and beating the bug away with a single swipe. Sharada's eyes followed the mushroom creature as it flew through the air, her teeth gritting and hands tightening at the sound of it's back crashing against the tree, the trunk shaking manically and causing hundreds of dried up leaves to flutter to the ground. Slowly relaxing as it didnt seem like the Pokemon would be crawling back over, her head turned at the feeling of strong gusts of wind around her, Santeri slowly lowering himself with large beats of his wings.
Perching on the forest floor, the large bird fluttered his feathers back into place, his sharp eyes locking onto Sharada before closing with glee, the female trainer reaching out a hand to pat his beak. "Great job, Santeri. I knew you would be able to do it!" Delphine shivered sadly by Sharada's ankles at her words. The little Ralts could attack just as good too if she wasn't so petrified! Opening it's tiny mouth to attempt to cry and gain it's trainers attention, the young Ralts couldnt quite find the words to speak afterall and remained silent, placing her small hands over her face. Sharada, on the other hand, finished petting her huge Fearow, grinning at just how strong the once tiny Spearow had become, "You come back for a rest for now. Those Scratch marks are pretty deep."
Returning the Fearow to the safety of his Pokeball, Sharada let out an exaggerated sigh, placing a hand on her hip before glancing down to Delphine. "...Tell ya what, instead of returning you again how about you stay out and watch a battle-- Properly. No hiding behind hands." Not giving Delphine enough time to resist, Sharada lifted the Ralts into her hands before ushering the Pokemon onto her shoulder. Parting her lips to speak once more, she froze at the sound of Arbok hissing viciously from behind her. "What is it Arbok?!" She staggered, quickly turning on the spot to see what had got on Arbok's sensors.
OOC again: Im ok with leveling up and all but I'm pretty sure a Farfetch'd is supposed to be in this area/should be the first thing to appear according to the staff topic, since their locations changed a while back. Just pointing it out ;__; /hides

It seemed like Sharada had her work cut out for her when it came to battles. So far two different Pokemon had approached her, but neither one was the one she was looking for up until now. Though in the branches and brambles above her rested the very thing she had come to seek out in the first place. Farfetch’d had been watching her all this time, she was just rather….unaware of it. It cackled before dropping from the branch, landing in front of her, with its leek in hand…um…wing. “Farrrr!” It cried, beating its free wing heavily. It wanted Sharada to try and get it. It wanted a fight, because its job was boring! All that dull Sylvester ever wanted to do was cut trees. It wanted action and adventure! Though hey, if all it could get was fighting this girl, that was fine too! Arbok had been right to become defensive, because this Farfetch’d looked anything but reasonable. “Fetch….” It murmured again. It wanted to see which Pokemon Sharada would use against it. Oh yes, it wanted to fight and it wanted to win. And it would win, because that was what its species did, at least in its eyes anyway… ______________________________________________________ Warning! Oh My! One of The Farfetch'd Sylvester was looking for has appeared!

Raising a hand to cover both her own eyes and Delphine's as her vicious Arbok coiled around the escaping Farfetch'd and sank her teeth in for the final blow, the way she ended it sure was... Intense? Looking as if she was going to attack it again for good measure, Sharada stepped forward and with a great, "NO!!" quickly came to realisation to just what her scaley friend was doing. Cautiously scooping up the fainted bird into her jaw, Arbok turned with wide, shocked eyes, expecting a congratulations rather than a shout. What had she done wrong? She was only going to carry it back to Sylvester for her.
Breathing heavily before turning it into a warm smile, Sharada helped keep Delphine balanced on her shoulder as she jogged over towards Arbok, placing a comforting hand on her hood. "Great job out there, Arbok. I knew I could count on ya..." Trailing off, she gave the fainted Farfetch'd a good stare, poking it's beak once or twice and getting no response. Looking a little worried, Sharada shrugged her shoulders, "W-Well I guess it is just resting. Lets hope there are more Farfetch'd in the woods just incase this one is dead or something." All three of them suddenly jumped out of their skin as the avian in Arbok's jaws suddenly let out a loud snort, it's breath suddenly becoming heavy as a snort bubble formed on the breathing holes from it's beak.
"Phew. It really is just sleeping. WELL! If that's the case then let's go and track down goose number two!" Returning Delphine to her Pokeball once again for safe keeping, Sharada and her Arbok made their way back through the forest, hoping to track down the next area with Sylvester's clues lingering in the back of her mind.

Coming from Luminous ValeWhen Rhoan emerged from the Vale and into the Gleaming Hollow, a wicked smile rose to her face. All the talking down about herself she'd been doing seemed to disappear. Yeah, that stupid little bird had to be here. She could feel it. As soon as she stepped here, it was almost like she was back in Oblivia, catching Pokemon with her bare hands and her darts. Reaver could sense the change in Rhoan's mood, and kept her mouth shut. Rhoan was in hunter mode, and she probably couldn't deal with any distractions. "Alright, Reaver. We're gonna set up a trap for that stupid turkey, got it?" She smirked, holding her hand out. Reaver hopped onto it obediently, already knowing what Rhoan's plan was. Following the random tracks she could glean from the ground, even with all the leaves and twigs, Rhoan found a reliable spot she was sure a Farfetch'd would pass over. If it walked this path earlier, it would do it again. Besides, there was no reason to run around. What if this was the skiddish one? Reaver lended her Spider Web so that Rhoan could work with the sticky material, making a makeshift net that she covered with leaves. Even better, since it was sticky, the leaves wouldn't move. What could have been mistaken for a muddy spot holding leaves down was actually a trap. Perfect. She layered another layer, and put a few twigs on it. Enough to hide the silk, but enough to keep the Farfetch'd in place as soon as it stepped on it. From there, Rhoan was poised and ready to throw Reaver at the bird, who would then Electroweb the Pokemon, practically rendering the situation to be inescapable. "And if it's Farfetch'd that gets stuck, we'll Electroweb. It'll hurt it, and keep it weighed down so that we can faint it and drag it's sorry tailfeathers back towards Sylvester. Although, I might just string it like a kill over my back and find the other one. Maybe even use the first one as bait." Whatever she ended up doing, she just wanted it to work as quickly as possible. Sooner she got out of here, sooner she wasn't well, in here. "If the Pokemon that gets stuck isn't Farfetch'd? I'll just punt it off our trap and relay the sticky, that way we don't miss too much time." Saying it was one thing, but Rhoan wasn't in the mood for dealing with anything that wasn't the dumb bird. (Waiting for Farfetch'd)

With her trap set thanks to the help of her Joltik, both Rhoan and Reaver were left to hide in wait until the Farfetch'd they were hunting passed by and hopefully fell for the trap. As a true hunter would, she remained perfectly still with exceptional breathing, if a Pokemon were to pass they wouldn't notice her presence at all. These sort of skills were crucial for the Pokemon she was trying to track down, as it really didn't want to return. However, she had found the correct area this time and it was soon about to show itself.
Up ahead, a bright orange beak peered out from behind one of the tree trunks. Letting out a deep, inquisitive quack, it slowly shuffled it's way out of it's hiding spot, revealing that of a feathery Farfetch'd. Tucking the leek under it's wing tightly, the avian looked around slowly, as if confused. It was absolutely certain that it just sensed and heard the presence of a human, so it quickly dashed into hiding. But as soon as it found somewhere acceptable, the feeling had disappeared. Considering that it was just a human briefly passing, the Farfetch'd was led into a false sense of security, thinking that it had managed to get away yet again. Puffing out it's chest proudly, the Farfetch'd wore a smug grin in the corner of it's beak as it began to strut down the gleaming area of Ilex Forest.
For the bird, this was one of it's favourite places to escape to. It was shaded with immense trees yet the sunlight which flooded in filled the place with warmth. There were several types of Pokemon to use as cover incase a trainer were to show up and the ground was sticky... Huh? Trying to lift one of it's webbed feet, the Farfetch'd realised that for some reason, it had stopped moving and no matter how hard it tried, it couldn't pull itself from this patch of ground. Leaning forward, it cautiously began to move the leaves and twigs around it's feet to see what it had trodden in, not realising that it was about to be pounced on by the hunter.
One of Sylvester's lost Farfetch'd (Level 20) have appeared! Knock it out in a battle and take it back!Battle taking place here.

Farfetch'd crazy attack wouldn't do the bird any good if it wasn't moving. Lucky for both Rhoan and Hatari, the bird was inable to move, frozen in place for the Pokemon to chomp on the bird once more. "If you miss, you'll probably be ridiculed." Rhoan joked, watching the Carvanha approach the bird for another bite. As uneventful as this turn was, it had won them the match either way, and the first dumb bird for Sylvester. It was such a drag, having to go through this forest to begin with, so it only made things better. "I hope this kid isn't mad the Pokemon will be knocked out." Rhoan shrugged as she stooped down to pick up the mangled bird. Pressing her ear to it's chest, she could still hear a heartbeat even though the Pokemon looked practically dead. Good thing it was still alive. "Well, one down, and one to go. How you doing down there, Hatari?" Rhoan asked, directing her attention to the flopping fish as she held the mangled bird. Hatari made some sort of hissing sound that sounded like discomfort, so Rhoan returned the fish and instead let out Ares. The tauros materialized in a flash of red light, and stood waiting for orders. After his excellent service in the gym battle, Rhoan had gained a bit more respect for the hulking beast. "Mind if I ride you a bit? Stupid forest is stupid." Bitter and angry, Rhoan patted the hide of the creature before hopping onto his saddle. She draped the bird over his back like a fresh kill and then clicked her heels onto his side. "We've got to find one more of these. Should be where a lazy Pokemon is hiding. But, considering i've never been in this stupid forest before, I have no idea what kind of Pokemon are around here."Racking her brain, she tried to think of the laziest Pokemon she'd encountered before, be it here or back home. "Snorlax maybe? Nah, I doubt they'd live here. Not enough trash or food to eat, or whatever those hulking beasts munch on. I don't know." Fed up, Rhoan got comfortable in the saddle and beckoned Ares towards the path to head west. "Maybe we'll find lazy roadkill and it'll lead us to the other bird. I'm so ready to get out of this forest i'm about willing to try anything."Exiting to Mahogany Knoll
