-coming from luminous vale-Coming from one part of the forest to another, Penelope felt that this area was almost too much alike the one previously, but something was different. Maybe it was the type of tree(s) and plants again? Or maybe it was less branches scrapping her body? Or maybe it was still the same part of the forest? She looked around at the Pokemon in the area carefully and consciously, the ones in the background sleping or running away from her. Well, none of them looked like the lazy kind that Sylvester was talking about, so the second Farfetch'd probably wasn't here. -one more to pine gap-

--Racing in from Lumious Vale--
Yakul was in full gallop and Astrid had more than enough work in making sure she stayed on to enjoy the scenery or worry about where they were going. Crashing ahead confirmed they were on the right track, at least after something fast as they hadn't seen Pia and whatever she was chasing for some time. The forrest changed to one of more young trees with a lot of dense undergrowth but it was no hindrance for the surefooted Yakul, and she was gaining on what was ahead from the sound of it. Suddenly a ledyba came racing towards them and almost hit Astrid but veered off in the last second and disappeared into the thicket. Astrid clung to Yakul who continued forward until they reached Pia who was waiting for them, sitting on the ground and looking proud. Astrid slowly pushed herself upright again and looked around helpless, she had no idea where they had ended. "Did you at least find the farfetch'd?" Astrid asked her trumbeak who looked puzzled back and the old woman sighed. "Thanks to you we are now lost, I really hope you found a landmark to give us directions so we can go back," Astrid said and Pia snorted offended, they were not lost, not with her as a guide! She flapped her wings and called to Astrid and began to lead the way, of course she knew where they were, Astrid looked hopefully at her and got Yakul to follow.

Coming from Luminous Vale.
As Kevin and his team reached the next area they started to search the area for the other Farfetch'd they were after. The area did seem to fit with the clues Sylvester had given them and Kevin hoped luck would be on his side so he would be able to return the two Farfetch'd safe and sound as he was sure the young man must be terrified with how long it was taking him to report back. " Like before everyone get ready, we don't know what might jump out at us in this area and I want to get this Farfetch'd back safe and sound as soon as possible." Oracle and Eiskalt then stood ready to strike the moment they spotted their target. If it was anything like the last Farfetch'd he did not want to take any chances and allow it to escape.

This had definitely been, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best days of Farfetch'd's life. No rules, no responsibilities... there was no way the boy it had no respect for would be able to track it down, so Farfetch'd was enjoying the time off of work. Leek propped up against a tree it had decided to rest by, and wings wide to enjoy the rays of sun that beamed down from between the leaves... It was a wonderful experience that could only be described as perfect. All it wanted to do was be lazy, and it couldn't be caught so there was no worries of a wandering trainer trying to get a one up on it. Truly, life was great right now until Kurt managed to find out and come find them. Well, almost. A trainer had entered the area, and while Farfetch'd wasn't worried about battles or getting captured, the way Kevin moved definitely made it seem like they were looking for something. Grabbing it's leek in one wing and a branch in the other, Farfetch'd flew to a higher spot in the tree, unfortunately rustling a bit of leaves in the process. It squawked in surprise, giving away it's position. Oops! Farfetch'd realized it wasn't getting out of this without a fight - Kevin would never take it back! It was having far too much fun doing absolutely nothing! You found one of Kurt's Farfetch'd! Subdue it here!

As the second Farfetch'd was secured Kevin let out a sigh of relief. With both the Farfetch'd now safe he could finally return to Sylvester and then hopefully continue with his journey. " Alright let's head back to the Luminous Vale, The path there should take us back to Sylvester. He then headed down the path back to the Luminous Vale.
Headed to Luminous Vale.

Maxwell king » OOC: Looking for Farfetch'd, waiting for an encounter Word Count: 170 Having followed the rough looking path from the bright and warm surrounds of the Luminous Vale, the forest had begun to change to one of young trees filled with a lot of dense undergrowth. It was rather amazing to witness how the different sections of Ilex Forest portrayed completely different scenery to those who chose to travel through it.
Max shook his head towards the already captured Farfetch'd with a sense of disgust directed towards it for the fact that it was hindering his search for the other of its kind by continually tapping its leek against the ground to cause a noise distraction, but it could also be sending a warning signal to its partner in crime for all Max knew, he was definitely going to put an end to it, first he was going to give a verbal warning, a chance of sorts before he made one of his team members enforce his wishes.

The captured farfetch'd protectively retracted its leek tightly against its feathered body, giving Max a look of utter indignation at the notion they could be separated. It quacked its displeasure. Rather loudly in fact. The gleaming hollow's serene setting seemed disturbed by the harsh grate of such a noise. The air was still, yet if anyone was paying close attention beyond the intermittent noise making of the mischievous farfetch'd, something was definitely rustling faintly in the vegetation nearby. Before much could be made of it though, the duck that had Max's attention would suddenly flourish his vegetable and point it to the treetops just behind the young lad. Whether it was helping or just being dramatic was hard to say. Following the invisible line from the leek one would discover a matching set ready to jump out of the trees and free its friend. Farfetch'd #2 is attempting a break out! Foil it's plan here

Maxwell king » Word Count: 200 OOC: Back to Sylvester now The second Farfetch'd of the two that had escaped from Sylvester had certainly put up more of a fight than its partner had, albeit the fight was for naught as Jupiter was seemingly levels above them in fighting experience and ability. Max wasn't at all surprised by how swiftly the battle had played out, more so he was just impressed that the leek duck pokemon had been able to get an offensive maneuver off, an impressive one at that.
After unleashing her all powerful electric type Thunderbolt attack on the paralyzed Farfetch'd, the bubbly pink sheep pokemon retrieved her Focus Sash which had been knocked off her and put it back on. Both Farfetch'd had been beaten, well and truly, in battle and surprisingly seemed to be awaiting for their impending fate, to be returned to their keeper Sylvester. Max motioned for Jupiter to lead the way back to where they had come from, through the Luminous Vale and onwards to Shady Glen where Sylvester had indicated he would be patiently awaiting for Max to return with his feathered friends in tow.
"Alright bird brains, follow me the pair of you, best be getting you back to where you belong"

Raindrops pelted the bright green leaves in the canopies above with a quiet hum. The heavens roared as sharp bursts of thunder cackled in the dark skies above. Mishu huddled inside of her large poncho, whose hood shielded most of her face and whose arms draped off her hands making it look comically larger than she was. The small black and white bear huddled near her feet with an angry expression that promised the weather was anything but joyous to experience. They pressed onwards, Pokemon in toe beside its curly-haired trainer, and carefuly traversed their way through the outcropping of tall pines and massive oaks whose many bodies created barrier within the tightly packed forest. Thick clumps of milkweed and tall grasses shot up nearly to Mishu’s chest, though they swayed and buckled around her form as she pushed her way through.
Large burst of lightning shot through the skies like cars racing across an open track. They would come in waves, several shooting one after the other in a high speed chase. Then quiet would fall over the face of the earth and darkness reclaimed the land, enshrouding it with an eerie touch. The darkness created by thick grey storm clouds that dominated the heavens above made the day appear to be much later than it actually was, sending some of the diurnal creatures to shuffle off into their nests and dry tunnels quickly and quietly for safety. “You hate this weather…huh?” Mishu turned to her small panda, who folded its arms and slammed its small but onto the ground inside of a large puddle of muddy water. Then it squealed loudly, gesturing with its clawed paws to the watery ground all around them.
“Of course I hate this weather!” The loud growls chanted in the air and rose like a mighty roar from Kumaneko’s small frame. When another burst of thunder shook the land like a tiger roaring into the night it would drown out most of her words. “I’m not a water type! I don’t swim! Let me go back where it’s nice and dry, please!” She pushed herself up though as she turned to hurriedly march her way through the dense forest a gust of wind slapped her against the face with several leaves strewn through its invisible fingertips. Kumaneko jumped back, coughing, and spitting at the leaves as she wiped her face several times with her paws. “Couldn’t this have waited until a better time!?” She asked her trainer deliberately, then pawed at Mishu’s pockets trying to find her own Nest Ball.
Mishu sighed, relenting. She immediately pulled Kumaneko’s small green ball with light green swirls on the top of its dome from her pocket and recalled the small panda with the click of a button. The weather was steadily building into quite the storms. The rough winds howled through the dense network of trees and tugged at their long trunks, causing them to shake and sway where they stood. Mishu’s rich amber eyes scanned their tall frames carefully and cautiously. Some were still young and more easily able to snap in half from the pressure. Plus, the older trees whose bark had been torn at relentlessly by previous weather conditions and wild creatures and whose appearance seemed to scream that they were nearing their prime would be the most likely candidates to be taken out by the storms.
Would a wild duck carrying a large leek – known to be normal flying without a hint of water in its typing – find such conditions favorable to swim around in? Would Mishu be able to search for her own mysteries regarding the Pancham appearance in Azalea Town? It seemed as though nature itself was telling her to turn around and head somewhere safer during the worst of the storms, but her own willpower and stubborn determination caused the ebony educator to press onwards still.

The storm beat on around Mishu and her team; Kumaneko was not the only Pokemon in the forest tonight trying to find some kind of shelter from the storm. But whereas Kumaneko had the privilege of being able to return to hiding within a Poke Ball, the wild creatures were not nearly as lucky. Bugs and birds alike were scurrying to find some kind of hidey-hole in the numerous trees marking the forest paths. With each strike of thunder, it was almost as if the whole of the forest vibrated. More cautious Trainers might find shelter somewhere by now, but it seemed as if Mishu was determined to press on in her search for the missing duck. Unfortunately, though the trees showed sign of age and general erosion on their back, they lacked the telltale cuts of a leek being slung at high-speeds. The track that Mishu walked upon had lost any semblance of footprints, all signs of life passing through this piece of the forest having been washed away with the storms. Up above, her eyes that scanned the horizon might have noticed some Tangela fleeing into the brush overhead, seemingly wishing to hide and avoid the fate that their friend in the previous section of the forest had met in challenging the panda and Trainer pair. But not all the Pokemon trying to find shelter from the storm were so willing to hide from the encroaching Trainer; some were more than willing to throw themselves out there. A small pink puffball floated and bobbed its way up and down the trail, coming directly for Mishu with no semblance of stopping or slowing down whatsoever. If Mishu didn't do something to stop it, then it would hit her directly in the midsection. This Hoppip had just seen a little bear disappear into something on the girl's person; clearly she was magical, and able to hide the Pokemon away from this bad weather. Maybe if it acted cute enough, it could get this girl to magic it away too! The Hoppip felt proud, sure that it was the only one that had been smart enough to come up with such an ingenious plan. "Uppies! Pick me up, magic me away, magical lady!" the Hoppip cooed, swinging its stubby little hands cheerily at Mishu. It had no idea how she had done what she had done, but it wanted nothing more than to get out of all this rain before its leaves got too soggy. Flying with a soggy leaf was a real pain in the butt, or so momma had always said. Maybe if she was quick enough, she could get this trainer lady to magic away momma and all the other puffballs in the forest too! "I'm so very smart." the Hoppip thought to itself, smiling cheerily even through the rain and the thunder. A wild Hoppip (Level 11) wants to hide from the storm with you! What will Mishu do? Rain poured from the heavens above and bounced off the broad dark green leaves in the nearby magnolia trees. They created a rhythmic musical melody as the rain pounded against their massive branches and tall trunks. Large droplets pooled at the tips of the leaves, causing them to buckle underneath the water’s weight, and dripped off the leaves towards the earthen ground below. Mishu pulled on the edge of her poncho’s hood and walked over to the small red and white capsule that had successfully captured the small pink cottonweed with its small serrated green leaves. She would scoop the ball up in one hand and pull out a spare rag in another, which she used to carefully clear away the mud and dirt that caked to the sides of the round ball.
Then a bright light would surround the Poke Ball and transport it off into another unknown location that she had to assume would be Professor Elm’s laboratory. Was it raining cats and dogs there, as well? The thick cumulonimbus clouds that swelled like towers in the skies blocked out the once bright sun with their massive grey forms. They roared with a thunderous cackle and shook loose several bright bursts of lightning that flashed in different directions and long streaks through the skies. Perhaps the weather would be warmer and brighter, providing the nearly drowned plant a much needed relief from the torrential rains that raged around its old home. Still, she was trapped here with her Pokemon, left lurking into the unknown as she hunted for answers only to resurface with more questions.
Hoppip wasn’t a mainstay for her. As promised, she would only send it off towards a home for wayward Pokemon she’d heard about, where Pokemon were well loved and cared for until they would find their ‘Forever Home’ with a dedicated trainer who would have the kind of time they needed to help train them. Mishu walked over to two towering pines and carefully checked the rough brown bark of their trunks, hunting for any strange signs that might have given her insight into both Pancham’s mysteries and into Sylvester’s bird mayhem, but nothing seemed to stick out to her. Was there some kind of poison leaking in the waterways? She decided she might need to check the local streams, ponds, and lakes to be sure. The wild berry plants all looked fine and healthy overall, so she doubted it was truly from a lack of resources alone that sent the previous Pancham into the heart of Azalea.
Ziggy rushed around her feet with loud, excited yips. The way her prickly furred raccoon zipped through the tall green grasses in zigzag patterns was amusing, though she knew it was just her Pokemon’s natural stride. She followed carefully behind and hummed softly to herself as she headed to the next spot. Nothing suggested that a cutting bird was running through the area, and most of the waterways seemed clear minus the rains that made it difficult to tell. If anything, Mishu supposed she may need to come back during better weather and scan the trickling streams more carefully then. “Ready to see what awaits us next?” She muttered more to herself than anything else. Ziggy paused in his stride, turned towards his trainer, and tilted his head inquisitively. Then the shaggy raccoon would bark loudly while wagging his tail enthusiastically as though he were answering Mishu’s question in earnest. “Yeah! I bet there’s a lot of fun stuff waiting for us ahead! I just hope there’s nothing scary out there, either…” Ziggy replied, even if Mishu wouldn’t understand the complexities of what he was saying.

Adrian stepped into the wooded area with a bit of awe. He looked around in a sort of quiet respect for the grandiose beauty of this part of Ilex. It really did gleam in places, light streaming through dense branches to give the whole hollow an otherworldly glow. It was like he stepped through some sort of fairy ring into another world. But he was here for a reason. And that was to find farfetch'd despite the fog.
"Fancy, stay high and search overhead. Sarge, you stick to the ground and try to find it by scent. And Sarge, you're pretty strong, so I trust you can try to catch it and bring it to me if you find it and we're separated. Fancy, try to stay close so I can help you out in case you find it. Now, let's split up."
Fancy fluttered in one direction and Sarge shuffled about, nose to the ground, and headed in another. Adrian reluctantly followed Fancy, hoping her keen eyes would cut through the fog and help them find their target, while he trusted Sarge's nose to keep him on track.
As he wandered a little helplessly, eyes pinned on the butterfly above him, he heard a howl.
"Sarge found something," Adrian realized. "Fancy, find Sarge and take us to him." The butterfly huffed. She hadn't found anything fun or interesting at all in these boring woods! But she did obey, leading her trainer into that dense grey aether towards where they heard Sarge raise the alarm.
As they approached, they saw a blue-ish glow.
And heard a growl.
Then a snap of jaws.
Sarge just ice-fanged something.
"Did you find the farfetch'd or did a bug surprise you?" Adrian asked with a laugh, moving to close in on his pokemon.

The sound of jaws snapping was not the only sound that would echo in the wood, as the pained quack of the duck Pokemon echoed out in return. It had seemed that the senses of the mighty dark hound were on point and when Sergeant pulled his muzzle out from the undergrowth, his iced over jaws were clamped down on the leg of the Farfetch'd. It was a tough way for the duck to be discovered and then brought out to the light, but that was how it goes when you try to hide from Pokemon that were being trained by a region police officer. Trying to get the Mightyena to let go, the flying type swung its leek, which had started to glow black, and struck the hound right in the muzzle. It was not a powerful move by any means, but the canine's jaws released and the utility Pokemon was able to get back up. Sergeant did not give it any time to react though, before he clamped down again, this time on one of its wings. Ice energy infused into the Farfetch'd's feathers before the wing seemed to go numb. The chill raced through its body and after staggering for a second, the duck Pokemon collapsed, having had enough battle for one day. Results PageSergeant 56/66 HP remaining, before level up. Adrian caught up with Sarge in time to see the mightyena shaking the farfetch'd unconscious. Well then. He had to remember that despite all the training they went through together, Sarge was still born in those dangerous, wild hills where instincts were what determined who survived and who became prey. He whistled to call Sarge off and picked up the bird.
"You could have been a bit gentler, bud," he mumbled, but he didn't scold the hound. He looked down at the mightyena who gazed back at him with a tense sort of daring. Like he too was remembering when he was a poochyena and hunting with a pack, howling for the blood of his weakened foe.
Adrian recalled the fear he felt that first time he ventured into the hills. The darkness and twists and turns. Mishu had demystified those hills when he ran into her, but before that? Fear. So much fear.
Sarge pressed his nose to Adrian's hand.
Adrian pet him.
"Good boy," he said softly. "Thanks for not eating the farfetch'd..." He glanced over the foggy terrain. "We should get back to Sylvester."

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: On | Time: Day
The quiet brook running through the center of the hollow caused the young boy to pause along his trek. It was hot and muggy, with a humidity index high enough to cause Zaiden to sweat profusely through his clothes. He craned his head up towards the skies and shielded his eyes as the sun poured in through the open pockets between long branches in the canopies above. It created a strange sort of charm to the densely forested area, where heaven’s light poured through and dispersed the thick shadows clinging around the wide oaks and tall pines littering the landscape.
The brook gurgled softly as the cold water surged along. Though it wasn’t clear, the murkiness of the water having a strange almost greenish hue, there was a sort of charm to its depths. Small leaves, once bright green and soft to the touch and now browned and hardened over, floated on the surface of the water. They ebbed and flowed quietly, only causing a ruckus in their own worlds when they would collide with each other. Small bugs scurried through the dense overgrowth. Their bright fuchsia exoskeletons prodding out between pockets of tangled vines. Some small green caterpillars watched through dreadful black irises, their red antenna stretching out in alarm. Still insects as brown as the felled logs they crawled on, with pointed horns chewed on the rotten wood oblivious to would-be travelers.
Where did Sylvester’s birds manage to get off to? Zaiden plucked a stray feather off the forest floor nestled in the midst of several leaves scattered about and studied it carefully. It was a dull greyish hue and substantially shorter than he’d expected for the type of avians he was tracking down. Had they managed to make it off further into the dark depths of the jungle-like habitat that enveloped them? Something stirred in the distance, a flash of nearly camouflaged colors that Zaiden couldn’t readily differentiate from the surrounding bark and leaves that stretched in every direction he looked.
Immediately, the young lad raced through the dense landscape at the top of his heels. His heart raced inside of his chest and felt as though it would rip the flesh and bone apart so that it could crawl out and run beside him. Blood pounded inside his veins, screaming against his skin loud enough to cause small goosebumps to litter his arms and legs. He couldn’t let them get away so easily! Though it could have been anything staring at him from the tangle of dangling vines, plump briar bushes, and sweeping tree limbs, something screamed inside of Zaiden’s very being that it wasn’t just anything lurking in the distance. Though it seemed improbable for him to assume so readily, a gut-wrenching feeling seemed to seize his heart.
Was this one of the mysterious birds waiting for him to find them? Sylvester would be pleased to know that the most likely only candidate willing and dumb enough to risk their lives inside of such a large and expansive forest was also successful in their endeavors, if so. He had to hope. Perhaps Arceus was watching over them from his kingdom far off above the heavenly skies overhead and was sending luck and fortunes to bless Zaiden in his quest? Though it seemed like an unlikely thing to think about, the teen’s rich brown eyes gleamed with hope that perhaps his lonely journey carried beside him a hidden friend with mystical powers, who would see him through until he’d managed to accomplish his goals. Hope, a powerful driving force for all, was his strongest motivator that kept him moving forward at the top of his speeds, until he’d finally managed to catch up to the mysterious creature that caught his eye.
