It runs along a gently sloping hill that is moderately difficult to traverse. While the knoll is known for its various mahogany types, it is also home to wonderful spectacles as well. Beautiful orchids of various types and colors grow in abundance underneath the canopies, alongside twenty feet tall passion fruit flowers leafy palms. It is home to a variety of Pokemon, who feed off it’s bark and find shelter within its thick trunk. The pathways may be littered with fallen trees and dead branches, so trainers are warned to watch their steps.

Entering from Luminous ValeAs the group of Joe and his Pokemon with Farfetch'd in tow moved along the illuminated area of the forest known as Luminous Vale, things seemed to change gradually as they moved on the outskirts of the zone. Now in what appeared to be a vastly different area, there were so many differences in their surroundings. For one, as they walked along there was a distinct sound of crunchy leaves as they trudged through them all determinedly. The light too seemed to change from its gloriously heavenly glow to a chestnut brown hue. " Woah... How's that for a change in scenery. Everything's just so..." He paused, almost stuck picking his choices of words. " Brown." He eventually concluded with a strange look on his face. This area, known as Mahogany Knoll to Azalea's residents was a haven to all things brown. Pausing for a moment, Stallone and Lupin almost bumped into the tall biker as he looked around, viewing everything in detail. " It seems no matter where you look there is just brown, brown, brown as far as the eye can see. Maybe this is what its like to be colour blind... Just seeing nothing but one colour." Scratching his head by putting a finger under his bandanna, he shrugged, confused by this state of affairs. As he did, a spot of movement appeared off in the corner and a number of wild Pokemon seemed to dash off in all directions. " Oh c'mon, you've got to be kidding." Joe's disbelief was aimed at the fact all the varied species of Pokemon that went scurrying about all turned out to be brown. Shrugging with his eyes wide open, Joey blew a puff of air upwards, moving a few loose strands of hair. " I dunno. Doesn't seem like there's much else here, really. Shall we continue on looking elsewhere?" Lupin and Stallone nodded. It appeared even those two were perturbed by how eerily brown everything was. " C'mon, before we all get tarnished brown as well." Mused Joe as he continued walking on. The whole lot of them looking around warily for a certain rogue Farfetch'd they were after. " I bet the bird has blended in stealthily with a tree or summat."

Entering from Pine Gap. As Lupin and Joe kept up with their slow trudge out of Pine Gap, there was a somewhat reassuring feeling when they began kicking past dark brown leaves littered all over the floor. As they saw those, they also became aware of how distinctively hazelnut everything was becoming. " Well that's a huge relief. I was wondering where we'd turn up considering I fell down the side of that cliff. Seems like this part of the forest connects back up via a sloping hill." Beginning to slowly clamber their way up the steep hill, Joe began to realise just how far he had fallen. " Wow, if this hill's anything to go by, I must've fallen by quite a damn way. My body's still achin' but I can tell you this. I'll be watching my step now." All the while Joe was talking, Lupin seemed incredibly distracted. His crimson red eye was darting about all over the forest at the various gushes of wind knocking about the leaves and branches of the trees. His head seemed to swivel around upon sensing a wild Pokemon making their way by. It seemed the Psychic was onto something. " Huh? Is that other stupid bird here?" Lupin paused and seemed to close his eyes. With how densely populated this forest was with life in all shapes and sizes, it must've been very hard to pinpoint creatures. Joe too stopped and began to look around. He may not have had a sixth sense but he had a fairly keen set of eyes himself from all the thieving he did. Jumping from tree to tree, Joe looked around at all the trees and didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary. " Mostly just Sentret about but if you say there's somethin' here..." Jolting his head off to the side upon hearing a distinct rustling of bushes, Lupin seemed to do the same as they both trained their gaze on a particular thick bunch of leaves situated on a large tree. Reaching to his belt holster, Joe grabbed a Pokeball off as he called out to whatever was lurking. " OI! Show yerself!" Narrowing his eyes, Joe had a suspect feeling that a Farfetch'd might be lurking in this zone. " Given how brown everything is here, I bet it feels right at home."

Lupin had indeed sensed something in the area with them, though it wasn't quite where they expected it to be. The Gallade didn't wait for whatever was lurking to spring out at them, but strode right over to the quivering bushes and sliced at them with the blades on his arms. Twigs and leaves were cleaved neatly into two, revealing the inside of the bush - nothing but a stray plastic bag rustling wildly in the faint wind that blew threw it.
How disappointing. Their Farfetch'd still eluded Joey, despite this being a perfect area for it to camouflage itself amongst all the brown. Lupin stared hard at the bush before lifting the bag clear, unwilling to leave it for some poor, innocent creature to get caught in. As he walked back to his trainer, he noticed a rather odd pile of leaves behind him. They were stacked a little too neatly to have been blown around naturally.
Throwing the bag at Joey, Lupin walked around him and studied the leaves before nudging it sharply with his foot. It connected with something very solid and sent it squealing out of hiding. A plump brown rodent with overlarge front teeth grunted as it landed on the forest floor, shaking itself free of any clinging debris. Turning round, it glared at Lupin and Joey before pawing the ground madly.
A wild Bidoof (Level 10) has been disturbed from hiding! Looks like it has a bone to pick with you...FIGHT!

Watching as the Pokeball rocked back and forth more violently than others before it, he was relieved somewhat by the battle coming to a close. "That was definitely an encounter I won't be forgetting any time soon." Looking to Gallade's blade arms, he laughed wearily. "You best not be poking me any time soon." Sending the Pokeball off to his warehouse for storage, Joe couldn't help but think what sort of antics the raging Bidoof would get up to. "Say, I can just see this little beaver trying to rile up ol' Uragaan. That won't make for a pretty sight. I got bets on the Bidoof giving the rocky tunnel snake a hard time." Turning to Knox, he noticed the Pineco was just as solemnly quiet as usual. Shaking his head he seemed perplexed by all the quiet Pokemon around him. "Y'know, being surrounded by you two is kinda hard goin'. I'm used to a bit of life, right?"
Falling silent himself, the thief began to gaze at the brown vastness of the knoll around him. There was definitely something off about the place. Something restless about the place. It wasn't anything particularly obvious but there just seemed something that didn't belong. Scratching the back of his head, he let go of Lupin's support and tried to walk around himself. As he did, he staggered around poorly but it seemed sheer determination was giving him a new lease of stamina. "Hm, gonna have a waltz around fellas." As he lurched forward, he slowly began pacing along through all the rustling brown leaves. Each step was met with a small lean to the side as Joe propped himself up against a new tree.
Several awkward movements later and he propped himself up a particularly thin tree that buckled off kilter as Joe rested on it. Peering up into the sky above, he was taken aback by how sheltered they were from the world above. "Wow, this really could mess with the senses after a while." Looking back down ahead of him, he paused with his eyes widening. It seemed he had just seemed a small figure move off in the distance. With how dull the light was in this area, he could only make out a brownish outline. "Uh oh, company lads!" As he said that, Lupin appeared from behind a tree and had Knox resting in the palm of his hand.

Just as it seemed quiet, the bushes rustled, and out popped another creature. This one was very small, and had the shape of an acorn. It was a Pokemon not very commonly seen, a Seedot. The tiny thing looked up at Joey, shivering as it finally noticed the presence of the human. First, it had gotten separated from its family, then, it found no berries to snack on, and now, there was a trainer here. This day was going perfect! “Seeddoot!” The alien little creature cried out, not afraid it seemed now, to challenge Joey. To it, it was all or nothing. Scuttling around his legs, Seedot kept trying to knock him down by hitting him, but it didn’t work as its clumsy feet kept sending it off course, which was frustrating to say the least. “Dot!” It had had enough! Now it stood still, seemingly waiting for Joey to pick a Pokemon. If it couldn’t fight cheaply, it’d fight like any other Pokemon! _______________________________________________ "] Wild Encounter!

With the Seedot succumbing to the successful capture, Joey held out his hand as the Pokeball whisked back to him with incredible precision. Gripping it tight as it smacked against the palm of his hand, he was happy to see yet another addition to his crew of monsters. " So... It was Nature Power?! Huh. Never heard of that one. Oh well, i'll make some good use of it further down the line at some point or whatever." Holding his hand out, he watched as the Pokeball was digitally transferred into nothing before his very eyes. " Can't beat modern technology. That never gets old." Looking down to Knox, he smiled as the pine like being was still remaining fully planted on the spot. " Do I have to get on my head and start break dancing for you to crack a smile or whatever?" Seeing the Pineco was looking a little tatty from the last bouts of fighting, he took out a Potion and sprayed it over the Pokemon's body. Sighing and with a defeated shrug after finishing with the bottle, Joe moved on to other more pressing matters. Looking around, Joey seemed particularly taken in by the brown hue of this section of the forest. " Nah... I think you're right Lupin. You said you sensed somethin' about and I believe you. And by that somethin' ya mean the Farfetch'd o' course." Eyeing from tree to tree and then to the piles of leaves by there feet, he was becoming more in tune with the knoll and therefore, by extension, just how disturbed some areas of it seemed. " Sure it might be other Pokemon but i'm not too sure." With a small bow, Lupin stood back up and pointed off to a distressed looking tree. " Huh? Over there?" Nodding, the Gallade seemed adamant. Joey slowly made his way over and was surprised to see that on the other side of it, the trunk was entirely hollow and seemed almost like a doorway. " Something's in there? Well, let's ring the bell, eh?" With a hefty bang of his fist, Joey tried to rattle whatever was in there. Items used:x1 Potion on Knox (Auto-updating) SeedotName: Nuzlocke Gender: MaleLevel: 13 Moves: Nature Power,Growth, Harden, Bide Ability: Chlorophyll Nature/Personality: Carefree but harbours a hidden seriousness to his personality. Ignoring Bide. HAHAHAHA WHAT A POOR MOVE. Oh and I know this might seem a bit cheeky me knowing but I have had to know where the Farfetch'd locations are as I was one of the first people to bother modding Ilex. Seeing as i've not encountered one yet and despite being in Mahogany Knoll, I was wondering if the next encounter is going to be one? It outlines it here at least. Seeing as i've known in advance, doing these two battles has at least made it a little varied from getting it straight away without fail I suppose.

What Joey hadn’t known, was that all along he was indeed being followed. A cheeky little Farfetch’d had been sitting in the bushes, watching his every move. This was one of the lost two Sylvan had been telling Joey about, and indeed it had been hard to find. Though it had been laying in wait, watching Joey’s every move, his battles, waiting to see if he could be any fun to pick a fight with. Deciding he was, Farfetch’d made its move. It threw its leek out of the bushes, the object moving like a boomerang, missing Joey’s leg only slightly as it landed on the ground behind him. Farfetch’d kind of frowned as he had only managed to graze the biker’s pants. Flapping its wings, it lifted itself from the bushes, landing right where its leek had fallen and picking it up with a long wing. “Far Far!” It cried, waiting for Joey to fight it. Now it really wanted to see what he could bring to the table, and it didn’t want to let him go until he showed it what he had. __________________________________________________ Encounter!

Seeing the Charmeleon cause a wave of disgruntled disdain over the Farfetch'd's face was enough to perk Joey's happiness up and dissolve any signs of annoyance he had beforehand. " Wahahahaha, looks I just showed you who's the real hot stuff. Nice one Char." Having rattled the bird's cage some, it was only a matter of how the proceeding battle would unfold. Fortunately for Joe, he has gauged the Farfetch'd correctly and realised that it barely had enough stamina to stand up to the draconian rage at Charmeleon's disposal. Slamming into him and giving the lizard a chance to grasp onto him, Joey rolled his eyes and shrugged cheekily. " Uh oh, looks like you just made a mistake that's gonna cost ya." Turning his head just slightly to face his Pokemon, he gave him the nod. " Go for it." Having just authorised all hell to break loose, Joe had to shield his eyes abruptly as the blinding fires scorched Farfetch'd with extreme prejudice. As Joe lifted his eyelids after sensing the violent flames had fanned down, he couldn't help but scoff as t he Farfetch'd was remaining in Charmeleon's grip; its head titled to the side unconsciously with its tongue flapping out. Amazingly, the prized leek was still perfectly okay. Sighing at just how impossible it was, Joey proceeded to pocket away the weapon to remove any chance of it springing back to life and taking them by surprise. " Well! That makes two by my count. I may not have done well back in maths class but we're dealing with pretty small numbers here. I can manage that." Shrugging the tied up Farfetch'd that was hanging from his shoulder still unconscious, Joe was reassured that it was still there and hadn't made any sneaky escapes. " Charmeleon, you look after that Farfetch'd okay? Hold 'em good and make sure he don't get away. Although..." Pulling a hurt expression, he joked about its chances. " I doubt he'll be going anywhere after that assault." Giving a nod to Lupin, the trio took one final look at this abnormally brown woods. " Can't say i'm gonna miss this area. It's pleasant but there's something that ain't quite right about this place..." Giving a shrug he began heading off towards a concentrated glow of light. From what he could tell, it seemed to be branching off into another location. " Heh, i'll likely come back here on my way through tryin' to find the exit." Shaking his head barely, he made careful attention to avoid any pitfalls hidden by leaves that the area may have. " I don't think we've been too long either, d'ya reckon? I know I went out cold for that one night but its only been a day..." As he trudged on, amusing thoughts ran through his mind of Sylvan remaining frozen on the stump he was sitting on and him being chased off by the supposed ghosts that haunted the forest. " Hah, either way, if he did go back home at least Azalea is small enough to navigate 'round."

Incoming from Luminous Vale
Finally, somewhere new! Starscream gave a triumphant caw and landed on the ground of this overwhelmingly brown patch of forest, looking smug. "Get off your high horse, amigo, this ain't over yet." Tanya seemed somewhat happier upon entering, knowing that she definitely hadn't come through here yet. If Farfetch'd was lurking, it'd be tough to find it amongst all the brown, making it ideal to hide in.
"Alright you two, let's get looking. I don't want to move on again after all that walking so hopefully that little feathered pest is lurking about," she said to her partners, earning nods of assessment before they split up and began prowling the area. Tanya adjusted her bag on her shoulder before turning around and scanning a few scant-looking bushes behind her.
Nothing. Oh well. Saphira rasped, drawing her attention immediately. She was standing before a somewhat tall tree stump that had a huge, hollowed out hole on one side. It looked like a perfect hiding spot, and there seemed to be something in there. "Back up Saphy, don't want it flying out and scratching up your pretty face," Tanya warned, wondering just what was waiting in the hole.

As Tanya and her team focused their gaze around the tree stump boasting a mysteriously deep hole, the chance of something lurking inside was fairly large. After a few moments of looking, whatever it was inside must've been incredibly shy as there was no movement what so ever. Instead, it wasn't until Starscream rustled by a few bushes behind the red haired trainer when something actually happened. Terrified by it's huge, metallic talons, a flock of Starly emerged from the deep foliage before taking off into the sky and causing a great distraction for all as their wings all flapped in unison. Filling the air with desperate coos and the odd grey feather escaping it's wings, Tanya's first suspicious slowly became true elsewhere.
Poking out it's large, cream coloured beak from the huge hole in the tree stump, the sneaky Farfetch'd poked it's head out little by little, only to look up to see the back of the female trainer. Wincing it's eyes, the bird grasped hold of the leek in one wing whilst using the other to help pull itself out of the wooden hole. As one little webbed duck like foot stepped on the leaf cloaked earth, luckily avoiding any obvious crackles, though it's second foot was another story. Tripping accidentally over the end of it's leek, the feathered creature found itself hopping on a single foot a number of times before landing face first in a pile of leaves, completely giving away it's position.
Laying on the ground in an awkward and uncomfortable position of face being flat on the ground and feet high up in the air, his body soon rolled to one side as he tried to pick himself up, large black eyes glancing at the trainer and her scary looking team nervously.

A FARFETCH'D CHASE
[Entering from Gleaming Hollow]
After a certain ignorant little Quilava had just roasted a Metapod alive with a brash fire attack, he lead Nadia and her other two Pokemon, Chuchu and Cheeky, into a dense portion of the forest where many mahogany trees loomed. For one reason or another, everything here was... incredibly brown.
"Hey guys, doesn't this seem like one of the areas that Sylvester hinted at for where his pop's Farfetch'd might be hiding?" asked Nadia, stopping Richie in his tracks. "Okay, well, he said a lot of brown Pokemon lived in an area of the woods, but this might not be a bad place to check out. I mean, considering the overly brown town of this area, I bet most Pokemon would look brown anyway! So why don't we snoop around?"
Cheeky was more than delighted to help, eager to make up for his previous blunder. Messing up once was bad enough and he didn't want to do it again, honest mistake or not. Chuchu was equally as happy to lend her aid once more, too. And this time, she has a better idea of what to expect: This next Farfetch'd may be an aggressive duckling as well, so no more little Miss Nice Pikachu. Anyone try to lay a hand, or a leek, on Nadia again and Chuchu would see to it herself that she personally mutilate that bird even worse than the first.
Richie, on the other hand, just yawned out as loudly and as deliberately as he could. He didn't care, these woods were just depressing him. So much to see and smell, yet here he is on patrol duty. Deciding he'd just slink off and out of sight, he found himself a pile of dry leaves at the base of a tree, out of sight. This looked like a nice place to just lay down and take a couple of quick winks...

If it was a few quick winks that the Quilava wanted, he would be mighty disappointed due to what was lurking in the bushes close by. A pair of narrow eyes were watching Nadia and her team from the distance, high up in the safety of a few tree branches. Thankfully due to the colour of it's feathers, the Pokemon was able to blend in perfectly with it's surroundings, the fallen leaves scattered across the ground, tall thick trees and musky air all being that of a neutral shade of brown. The only possible thing which would give it away was the bright green leek which is always held on to so tightly, but it too was easily camouflaged by a simple wrap of it's wings.
Watching carefully as the trainer grew even closer, it got to the point where her trusty Swellow had begun circling in the air close by, too close for the Farfetch'd to handle. Hopping quietly and carefully, it's light body didn't cause a ruckus at all, only the odd subtle shake of a tree branch which could've been caused by anything. Making it's way to the ground below, there was one hiding spot it know of that would be more than perfect in a situation like this, a small burrow beneath a tree trunk which it had rather cautiously layered with crisp leaves... Now it just had to remember where it was within this maze of trees.
Keeping it's bright yellow beak low, the brown body of the Farfetch'd merged in with the surroundings perfectly, it's slow movement not appearing to be all that eye catching at first. Though as it scuffled closer, the slumbering Quilava now became that of a blockade for Farfetch'd to achieve his goal, the fire type being a mere few inches from falling into the hole himself. Grimacing, the bird looked from left to right before lifting his leek into the air, more than ready to land a painful blow if something wasn't done quickly.
One of Sylvester's lost Farfetch'd (Level 20) has appeared! Knock it out in a battle and take it back! Battle taking place here.

((Not going to learn Defense Curl for Richie.))
A FARFETCH'D CHASE
One flame broiled bird was all that pretty much remained of the Farfetch'd once Nadia and the rest of her team came turning the corner. As for Richie, after delivering a successful Flame Wheel just snorted at the bird, went back to the pile of leaves, letting out a big yawn. He glanced over at Nadia, but didn't care of her presence. He just simply stretched out his back and limbs, spun in a circle a few times to bat down the leaves, extinguished the flames on his back and curled up for his nap. He was done and no number of badges in the world would stop him from taking his nap.
"Well, good news, guys," Nadia said with a slight shrug, removing her hairband for a moment to scratch underneath it. "Looks like Richie apprehended that second Farfetch'd. Well... lucky for us, right?"
Chuchu just put up her paws in a shrug, practically saying "If you say so" with her gesture. Cheeky just perched on a nearby branch for a moment and looked at the duck. He knew what would soon happen next, but he wanted just a moment's breather if they're not moving for a minute. He took the time to raise up his wing and dig his beak into his feathers: He felt like there was a twig or something lodged under his wing.
Figuring that Richie was through for the day, being in one of his rebellious little mood funks, Nadia took out his Pokeball and just recalled him. He's been grouchy all day today, so maybe he's not feeling well? Anyway, he's done more than enough and did earn his rest, even if he didn't feel like helping in the first place. He had located the second Farfetch'd and prevented it from getting away and that was good enough for Nadia.
"And as for you..."
Nadia approached the downed Farfetch'd, Chuchu right by her side. As the girl picked up the bird, Chuchu made sure to go straight for the leek so she could carry it herself. She wasn't trusting of these dirty birds because they were obviously much more mischievous than they led on. Running away from their trainer, attacking people... for shame on them! In Chuchu's eyes, they deserved what was coming to them.
"Right. Guys, we're heading back to see Sylvester." Nadia slung the exhausted bird over her shoulder and looked up to Cheeky, who was patiently awaiting the cue. Getting that nod of approval, Nadia's Swellow glided into the air again and began to lead the group back on track to the Ilex Forest entrance where they had previously met the boy who made the request to find his father's Pokemon.
