It was as Meowth was almost at the Hag's Absol that the Whirlwind finally took effect, flinging it backwards into its Poké Ball. The Poké Ball was slightly off balance when Meowth landed in it so it bumped against another Poké Ball that opened wide, releasing its Pokémon, Plusie.

It bounced slightly before looking at the Absol that stood above it growling menacingly.

[The REAL Joey]

OOC: Whirlwind? I was under the impression it could only use Razor Wind from its movelist as that's the only windy move of that description but hey, i'm not complaining. I got a reply after 12 days which is something. ;D

BIC:

Joey flinched as the furious winds were whipped up by the Disaster Pokemon and sent the battlefield into disarray. Before Meowth even had a chance to attack, he was sent flying back to his Pokeball and the wind's didn't stop from disrupting the battle there, instead they ripped off another Pokeball from Joey's belt. He tried grabbing it but it was far too late and the ball had already sent forth his newly hatched Plusie. Joey looked at the Absol and back to his Plusie in a concerned manner. There was no way Plusie could stand up to it and Joey wasn't going to be switching out now, as that would cost him a much valued turn.

"Grr... Quit playin' around!" Joey looked down to his Plusie with a saddened look on his face. "Just do your best ok? I know you're starting off right in the deep end but... I need your help!" The Plusie's cheeks glowed erratically, as if psyching itself up for the impending battle. Joey gulped and ordered the Plusie's first ever move. Although, it was doubtful it'd even be able to pull it off. "Focus your electric energies and paralyse it with a Thunder Wave! If we can slow this thing down..." The Plusie nodded and immediately tried its best to paralyse the Absol with its electrical currents.

Before the hag could command her Absol, he jumped up and quicker than the electricity, it attacked the Plusle. Absol was using Quick Attack!

Plusle had no time to react before the white dog-like pokémon smashed into its frail pokémon. Plusle was thrown backwards bouncing 3 times before coming to rest at Joey's feet.

Plusle had fainted!

[The REAL Joey]

Joey grimaced as the Absol deftly finished off his Plusie with a lighting fast Quick Attack. as the Plusie laid at his feet he looked down at it morosely, sad that he had let it down so poorly in its first ever battle. "I hope this doesn't crush its self esteem... Return, Plusie!" Joey retrieved her Pokeball and called her back to safety inside the spherical container. He picked out his next Pokemon and lobbed it into the arena. "Let's get this back on track. I hope you're ready for this." The ball opened and Joey's faithful Meowth strutted out, ready to go toe to toe with the Dark type Pokemon once more. Except this time, Meowth had a new ace up his sleeve.

Joey looked to his Meowth and have him a stout nod. "Okay buddy, let's attack without no mercy! Forward and Fake Out!" Meowth growled to itself in response and began frantically charging at the Absol as if it was a demon possessed. Its claws were slashing around wildly in the air and the feline Pokemon was hissing incessantly. As it reached in front of Absol, it dabbed both its paws on the side of Absol's face, leaving it unable to strike back. Meowth flipped back to Joey's feet and purred happily.

OOC: Wheeee more replies! I wonder how far we can get today.

[LUNAR]

The Absol was unable to move after the Fake Out attack, which had caused critical damage. The woman growled in frustration. It seemed that Joey was able to beat her after all.

Meowth purred happily up at his master, swishing his tail back and forth. He stuck his tongue out at the Absol, making it snarl in response.

OOC: No problem, i'm incredibly grateful for your post. Thanks a lot. ;D There isn't too much you can RP out during a battle though so don't worry.

BIC:

The Fake Out attack was one of Joey's Meowth's specialities and it was going to be a long time before he got rid of that one. However, the downside was that it could only be used as soon as his kitten entered the battle. Having been able to pull it off, was all that Joey needed. "Heheh, perfect. You did brilliant Meowth, let's shake things up some more with Fury Swipes." Meowth nodded and its claws sheathed out of his paws as the Meowth's eyes glinted at the Absol. It lunged at the Absol with its claws flying in a frenzy as it drew closer. Despite being quite brutish in his attack style, the Meowth's ability technician made it so that every seemingly weaker move hurt that little bit more.

"No!" the Hag shouted quickly, throwing her Poké Ball onto the field. Out burst her Misdreavus! Absol had, by now, retreated into its Poké Ball.

Meowth didn't have time to stop its attack so it pounced, going straight through Misdreavus' body. It felt like Meowth was going through freezing cold water. It swiped at the air before landing on the ground. It ran back to Joey, confused.

OOC: AWESOME! Hag needs no sprite, Magikarp sums her up entirely. *pinches nose closed*

BIC:

The hag's sudden switch of Pokemon irritated Joey slightly as it denied him of an attack. However, when the familiar darkened ball was switched into play and her Misdreavus returned for another round, Joey saw his opportunity and he wasn't going to fail at seizing it. "Perfect...!" He petted his Meowth's head and smiled. "No problem buddy. This works out better for us in the long run." His Meowth turned its head to the side slightly but soon cottoned on as to why. Joey gave a nod of understanding as soon as Meowth had grasped it. "Meowth, don't be phased! Launch a Bite attack and let's knock some wind out of the old hag's sails!" Meowth purred and flashed its pearly fangs at the Misdreavus before pouncing at it, going in for the bite. While Bite was physical in nature and most other physical attacks such as Normal and Fighting moves didn't harm Ghost Pokemon at all, Joey was slightly curious as to how it did manage to hurt but in the end he shrugged as it worked to his favour. Perhaps it was the underhand method of the move that managed to allow Dark types moves to get the drop on Ghosts.

Meowth pounced into the air at the Hag's Misdreavus but this time it didn't pass through it. This time, its fang sunk into Misdreavus' ghostly body.

"Dreeeeeaaaaavvvv!" it cried out in pain as the teeth sunk into it. Bite attack was super effective! Dark Type attacks were more powerful on Ghost Type pokémon!

Misdreavus panted heavily, the attack was powerful enough to almost knock the creature out. It stared into the Meowth's large eyes. Suddenly, a purple connection went from Misdreavus to Meowth! The connection rooted them both completely still until something happened. The connection broke off with a shriek of pain from Meowth and a satisfied slurping noise from Misdreavus. Misdreavus had used Pain Split!

[The REAL Joey]

As Meowth's fangs sunk into Misdreavus' ghostly body, Joey grinned to himself as this was the first time in this battle that they had landed such a devastating attack on the opponent. Things wouldn't last long however and with the use of Pain Split, Joey's shortly lived celebration soon turned sour. "Ouch... I forgot how much of a pain that move is. Looks like we'll have to slog this out some more..." Meowth hissed at the Misdreavus following its life energy being sapped and restoring its opponents instead. From seeing how much damage did before, Joe decided that a follow up Bite would be in order. "Okay Meowth! That Bite was pretty savage, let's repeat that. Bite it again!" Meowth hissed continuously at the Misdreavus and reared its fangs once more. Instead of pouncing straight at the ghost, it let out an ear piercing shriek before lunging at it with a nasty bite.

Meowth's attack caused the Misdreavus to cry out in agony as all the energy was zapped out of it. It cried 3 times more before it fell to the ground, cowering.

The Hag switched the fainted Misdreavus for her Absol and resumed battle positions.

"Razor Wind it," she said to Absol with an air of apathy in her voice.

Absol obeyed, the razor wing hurt the Meowth immensly. Apparently, it was attacking with even more power because it missed its good friend Misdreavus and this Meowth had taken her away from him!

OOC: Just to be clear, Razor Wind takes up two turns just so you know. The first turn is a charge and then on the second, a sweep. So does that work out in Meowth retaining his HP from before? ;D Least he can hang in there.

BIC:

With the hag's Misdreavus down, Joey felt as if he was onto something. That was one of the hag's most annoying Pokemon Joey had faced but now it was back to her stalwart, Absol. Joey looked at it squarely in the eyes and smirked slightly. "C'mon Meowth, we can do this." Joey looked at Meowth's claws and then back at Absol itself. "Time for a flurry of Fury Swipes, wouldn't you say?" His Meowth growled and then slowly licked its claws. After enjoying them, he leapt forward and whirled his claws around furiously in the direction of the Absol.

[Arzadon]

"Now Absol, finish that pesky Meowth off with you're quick attack!!" The Hag commanded, sending out a new wave of spit towards Joey and his pokemon. Absol wasted no time, and charged forward.

Absol picked up speed, and soon only a white blur could be seen. Absol suddenly appeared directly in front of Meowth. The cat pokemon turned it's head in shock, in time to see it's foe ram it's scythe like head into Meowth's body.

The cat stumbled backwards. It's left paw gripped it's stomach, blood freely flowing though it's paw. Meowth pulled back it's paw and examined it's new wound. The cat pokemon grimaced at the large gash across it's stomach.

Despite it's flesh wound, Meowth still wanted to please his trainer. With it's spare paw the cat pokemon slashed at Absol. Leaving two nasty scratches on Absol's face. The disaster pokemon stared down at Meowth in utter rage.

OOC: Still not sure if that missing turn for Absol's charging Razorwind got added in or not with Arz suddenly Quick Attacking. Does Meowth still have more HP than said in Arz's post? Argh. I know this is meant to be hard but this is becoming outright impossible. As this has become quite set with the moves could we just say that the healing and attacking count as one turn all together as opposed to two in my following RP? Otherwise i'm kinda lost with it all.

Joey's eyes widened at the carnage that the Absol pulled off with its surprisingly devastating Quick Attack and feelings of desperation and panic started to become rife within him. "N-No..." He looked pitifully at his Meowth who was now in dire condition. Joey's attachment to Meowth was incredibly strong as Meowth was Joe's first Pokemon that he had ever caught. That, coupled with the fact his feline Pokemon was inclined in nature to be a thief like partner on Joey's hijinks, meant that he wasn't going to give up so easily on it. His hand shifted through his bag deftly and retrieved a large looking bottle; a max potion. He knelt besides Meowth and fed him the miraculous revitaliser. Before long, Meowth's wounds had healed and he looked fit to fight. Meowth purred affectionately at his trainers care and soon focused its attention back on the Absol. Meowth had a score to settle.

"Meowth, you can do this, hang in there!" Meowth let out a sharp growl as Joey ordered the next move to be dealt. "Fury Swipes! We have to keep up this barrage. Just keep up with this all and we'll begin to see the tide turn!" Meowth's claws became apparent once more as he flew towards the Absol in a flurry of claws aimed directly at the Dark type Pokemon. Joey grimaced slightly at Meowth's enthusiasm. HE certainly wouldn't want to be on the end of one of Meowth's attacks.

Meowth brought himself into the perfect place in his mind for a Fury Swipes attack. His head cleared of all thoughts, it lunged. The Absol was drearily looking at an ominous, black cloud in the distance to notice the Meowth attacking it. Meowth unleashed a Fury Swipe not one, not twice but five times!

Absol was knocked over once more, the taste of its own blood swimming through his mouth down his throat. Absol began to cough and choke so much it couldn't retaliate!
