The more they looked around the more mushrooms could be found. It appeared the traveling pair had stumbled upon what many locals simply called Mushroom Bank. Plentiful in the fungus there were certain areas so full it would be difficult to proceed through without stepping on the slippery caps. Perhaps that wasn't too much a worry. The area, aside from its interesting red-topped inhabitants, was really quiet. Tranquil even. However this wouldn't last so long as the curious fox went about poking around at the various points of interest. Eventually something in those mushrooms began to move. Luckily the eevee was a cautious one as one such mushroom lunged out to smack the normal type on the nose! A wild pokémon had been discovered, and it didn't seem all too happy about its company. A foongus was disturbed! (LV 14) Battle will take place hereShiny? XWn1YYZn1-421-42

With the foongus safely within the pokeball, Astrid turned her attention to Hector and his pokemon. His eevee had finally calmed down although it looked like she was sulking, Hector just looked relieved she wasn't struggling anymore and he petted it a few times. "She is a feisty one!" Astrid said cheerfully and Hector smiled weakly and put the eevee down on the ground. "Yeah, I hope she calms down a bit, I'm not sure what happened there," he confessed and rubbed the back of his head. "To me it just looked like she wanted to battle, some pokemon really likes that and she doesn't know how that works with you yet," Astrid said confidently and Hector nodded a bit. "I will suggest that we find her something to battle, with the help of your other pokemon so it is a bit more controlled and you get your team work up and running," Astrid continued and Hector nodded more determined. "Sounds like a good plan," he said with a smile and tried to get in contact with Eevee, which he succeeded when he promised her more battles which made her look eagerly at him. Astrid picked up the pokeball and stuffed it away in the saddlebags, she wasn't planning on using the foongus but hopefully she could find it a good home. "Are you ready to go Lykke?" Astrid asked and the quilava made a weird sound as she shook her hindleg to get feeling back into it. "You just need to walk it off," Astrid laughed and mounted Yakul to lead the way along the path with the other following. Wordcount: 272 (Putting Foongus in Lei's box 2) --Leaving for Conifer Crest--

The air began to get damp.
Booker slowed his pace a bit, hanging back closer to his trainer at the first sign of a mushroom. The change didn't go unnoticed. "It's okay Booker, we're not going to stick around long here if we can help it." A quiet, gruff, bark came from the ranger's companion. "C'mon."
The two paid close attention to their footing. The bank was aptly named, and the sorts of pokemon that loved the area were perfectly camouflaged. A wrong step could put them on the receiving end of a sudden burst of spores. There also wasn't too much of a reasonable path through. The place was ever changing; growing. Almost as if each cap would migrate between each visit.
The boy shuddered at the thought. Each one of these wild shrooms could be a young pokemon. Skittering quietly when no one was looking. Damien shook his head to expel the vision. Booker looked up with a bit of concern, drawing the ranger's attention for another comforting pat. "All good."
It took what felt like a long time to traverse through the thickest parts of the Mushroom Bank, but with religious time checking he found they were making surprising time. Now if only he could keep it that way.
Damien pressed on his pokegear and began tuning the radio. The familiar jingle chimed after a minute of commercials. "Yes," he cheered, causing Booker to do the same. "This is the show that brought me to you when we first met you know," the boy added, turning his gaze down to the grown pup with a fond smile. Booker panted happily, jumping excitedly a couple times before resuming his forward station.
They were nearly at the heart of the forest now.

Maxwell king » Word Count:200 OOC: Looking for an even fight for Edward! The area that Max and his dynamic duo now found themselves in was filled with mushrooms that were all the same, their cap's appearance eerily similar to that of a pokeball. The toxic smell that the area emitted was repugnant, staying around this place for an extended period of time was sure to crush anybody's appetite, and Max was feeling rather hungry at this time in the afternoon, there was still work to be done however. The maze that was Ilex Forest had proved to be a journey unlike anything Max had experienced so far in his young journey throughout the Johto region.
Jupiter was bouncing around the bank area, one would think that a rest would be in order for the electric type sheep pokemon, however she looked raring and ready to soldier on. While Max had been watching Jupiter he thought he had noticed a mushroom move nearby her, he wasn't entirely sure if he was hallucinating. imagining the event happening or if he was simply just tiring out from what had been a very long day so far.
"Alright Jupiter and Edward, keep your eyes and ears alert, who knows what this place might hold for us"
OOC Note: Max has arrived at Mushroom Bank [200 Words] (via Shady Glen [564 Words]/Dense Thicket [240 Words]/Forest Shrine [200 Words]) and the total word count for those four posts plus this one is: 1204 Words Also Edward was taught Cut, Roost and U-Turn while at Shady Glen and this will replace Leer, Focus Energy and Quick Attack!

Mushroom Bank was a strange and mysterious sort of place located inside of Ilex Forest that sent many herbalists and cooks dashing into its domain. The forest floor was littered with leaves and debris but located underneath their layers were a plethora of different mushroom species that would easily spice up soup dishes or help them prepare a mean healing remedy. Small white mushrooms jutted out from just underneath piles of leaves, barely visible with their dome-shaped caps. Along the tall oaks and ancient trees that decorated the landscape, clusters of oddly-shaped brownish-white mushrooms crawled up their trunks as they slowly ascended up towards the heavens. And spongey brown mushrooms prodded through the refuge, sometimes smothered by bolder and brighter mushrooms with daring red caps decorated with large white splotches across their form. Not all was what it seemed in the forest, and though most of the mushrooms were safe or edible many were not. Some of the mushrooms lived on the host of their Pokemon partners backs – bright orange bugs with expressive blue eyes who had two bright red mushrooms jutting out of their backs. They wouldn’t have been nearly as close to Maxwell and his team, though, as they scurried off underneath the litter and debris, digging themselves further away from the noisy troupe as they strived to find safer refuge in their jungle. Large white-and-red mushrooms shot up in large, with their Pokeball markings on their circular heads, and began hopping furiously away. The hyperactive blue sheep seemed to need something to do although what she had in mind may not have been what she was planning. As she bounced up and down around the bank, seemingly itching to get into something or perform some type of task or assignment, her blue feet would accidentally kick a small brown mushroom with small green splotches on its head and a green underside out from his hidden spot. The poor little Pokemon fell, rolling through the tall grasses to land against a large grey rock with a noticeable ‘plop’. The Shroomish shot up, nostrils flaring, and stomped its way over to Maxwell and his team with narrowed eyes that demanded to seek justice. With barely a warning it would come charging back at the blue sheep and aiming to ram into her with the force of a thousand hurricanes, if it could muster such strength. One thing was for certain, though. Someone was going to pay! A Wild Shroomish [Level 14] is attacking! Please go here to decide what Maxwell will do!

Maxwell king » Word Count: 388 OOC: Anubis forgets Quick Attack for Rock Smash, Edward is not learning Double Hit! Moving onto Conifer Crest! Edward looked physically dominant against the wild Shroomish, all that time the mantis pokemon has spent learning from his teammates were certainly now paying dividends. Edward intercepted the grass type pokemon who was blinded by anger stemming from it's state of rest being rudely disrupted by the ditsy sheep pokemon. The long blade like forearms picked up the mushroom and tossed him back down the hill like he was nothing more than a mere pawn in a game of chess.
The look of surprise was vividly clear on Shroomish's face when the mushroom pokemon picked itself up off the floor, its attacker had now fled the scene and been replaced by a much smaller, blue, bipedal dog pokemon. The grass type pokemon decided a ranged attack would be its best approach to this battle as it started glowing, this wasn't a solo act however as Anubis glowed the exact same colour as the wild Shroomish as the mushroom pokemon sapped the energy from its opponent.
In a situation that was eerily resembling of the old saying that went 'Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me', the once surprised Shroomish was now even more shocked as it was attacked out of nowhere by a small red-and-white ball, these attacks were coming from anywhere and everywhere. Shroomish had heard of people from its area falling victim to these balls that humans used to control wild pokemon, now in a cruel twist of fate the mushroom pokemon found itself a victim of such an act. The mushroom pokemon found itself enveloped within the technological contraption, trapped within the abyss of the pokeball.
After the capture had been successful, Max moved over towards where the red and white spherical device lay and retrieved it and stored it away in his backpack, the grass type pokemon would be a handy addition to the black haired boys team.
"Well executed there boys, now let's keep moving"
Anubis and Edward humbly enjoyed their trainers praise as they watched their over-active electric type teammate lead the way forward and out of Mushroom Bank, onwards to the next area of the maze that was Ilex Forest, locating the exit was proving to be quite the strenuous activity, especially so with the day dwindling away and fatigue starting to set in for Max.

Coming from the Forest Shrine.
As Kevin reached the Mushroom Bank he was in too much of a hurry to explore the area more for now. After being held up by the cursed forest he did not want to spend anymore time in the area for now. He quickly made his way to the next area not slowing down for even a moment.
Heading for the Conifer Crest.

--Coming from Evergreen Range"It was an amazing sight, I tell you that! I had never thought I'd see such rare pokemon and in the wild nonetheless! Usually the few you see of those are in captivity and either lives with rich collectors who perhaps or perhaps not are showing them off. It was worth all those hours sitting in hiding, my leg was cramping but I forgot all about it when I saw it! Oh boy! Have you ever seen it?" Ramsey asked eagerly. "I cannot say I have, I have not been much out in my younger days and.." Astrid said with a smile and got interrupted by an excited Ramsey, "You really should if you get the chance! It might be tough but you won't regret it!""Well..." Astrid said slowly and gestured to her cane but Ramsey didn't see it. "You just need the right outfit, if you go to.." the ranger blabbered on as they continued through the forest. --moving to Forest Shrine--

-Coming from Forest Shrine- "I know it might seems weird, but I do have a keen sixth sense when it comes to humans. I know he was hiding something and I'm sure he was more than just a bit harsh on his pokemon. I could not risk him getting this fragile gothita, it has been through enough already and need a gentle handler," Ramsey argued. "I still think you put too much into it," Astrid said stubbornly and Ramsey sighed. "First, you heard how harsh he was to his pokemon, and that was when others was around..." Ramsey argued for his case as he begun to list all the reasons for why he thought Tyler was a bad guy. -Leaving for Conifer crest-

-Forest Shrine-She left the weird shrine in the middle of the forest, and found herself in an area where it felt more moist and damp. Soon enough, she noticed a lot of decaying woods and mushrooms growing on them. Maybe, she could harvest herself one. She walked farther into the area until she saw so many decaying logs and fungus. She bent her back and looked down, deciding which ones would be good to harvest by herself. However, the Skiddo and Narctar were getting a little angsty. They knew other Pokemon would be around. Narctar got off Skiddo and helped Penelope. The Skiddo moved around her almost in a circle, occasionally jumping on a log to look for other Pokemon. It just knew there's some around here. The young goat chewed on some grass and flexed itself to show the wild Pokemon who's the boss. It was also ready to slam itself to whoever dared to show its face. -waiting for encounter and rolling for item- OOC: Skiddo Growth and Tackle whoever spawned. Also no Worry Seed

The vibrant forest swelled with life, creating a hospitable environment for fungi to grow. Large white mushrooms popped up along the thick, rough barks of the tall oak trees, seemingly infused with the towering foliage giants that decorated the area and obfuscated the sunlight above to cause it to scatter in thin, scattered rays through their canopies. Cauliflower mushrooms poked through thick clumps of scattered weeds, whose thorny vines crawled over the strange looking mushroom’s ruffled body. Small yellow funnel-shaped chanterelle mushrooms also popped up like strange foliage confetti that sprinkled its way across the ground. And still yet, the illusive Chicken of the Woods crawled in thick blankets across fallen logs that were scattered throughout the region. Though, many seemed to glimmer and glow underneath logs and thick bundles of browning, discolored, and scattered leaves. Small bugs crawled around the fallen trunks of dead trees and burrowed into the fresh trunks of live trees, evidently thriving on the scattered remains of the mushroom bank. Something moved within Penelope’s peripheral. She would easily collect all the mushroom she could want or ever need as far as making regular food and meals were concerned, but she may have been hard pressed to find any rare or special mushrooms with their bright red caps covered in white spots which could be sold for a decent amount of money, sadly. The more she searched, the more a small white funnel-shaped Pokemon with a large ‘mushroom-shaped’ top seemed to grow enraged at her pillaging of its land. It jumped and bounced, hidden behind a large fern leave that would have been big enough to cover a small car or half of a boat, while it watched her in silence. When the mystery creature could take it no more, it leaped after Penelope with a loud, hollering scream! The Skiddo immediately hopped into action as soon as the Foongus appeared, jumping out at them from behind the fern’s large frond. Skiddo’s body began to glow with a bright green light as it grew in size, nearly doubling in size. In turn, the small white mushroom with the pokeball-shaped top began to grow with a bright green light and doubled in its own size. The Skiddo rushed his opponent and rammed his head into the Foongus’ side, knocking the small white mushroom over. The Foongus barreled through a thicket of wildflowers and tall wheatgrasses, before jumping back up onto its… feet? Yeah, sure, feet. It lay low until the Skiddo wandered close enough, then jumped out while screaming and shaking its body erratically, startling the Skiddo temporarily. Now, they had REALLY asked for it! A Wild Foongus appears! Level 9. What will Penelope do? Decide here. Find an item? GmFW8CgN1-8

Coming from the Forest Shrine
As Tyler reached the Mushroom Bank the sun had almost completely set. The area had gotten quite dark but thanks to some floating spores he was able to still make out the correct path. Though there was no hope now of getting out before dark he was still making good time and was over halfway towards his goal. If he were lucky he would get through one more area before nightfall.

The Foongus was blabbering and complaining, but soon enough the Skiddo was running after the Foongus. What Penelope saw next was almost like an episode of weekend morning cartoons. The Foongus tried to hide in a small hole to take cover, but the Skiddo simply dug a little bit and then slammed on top of the mushroom. She heard a scream before Skiddo moved away to reveal a passed out Foongus.
Penelope thanked her Skiddo's help, but can't help and feel stuck with coming with a fitting name. The young goat sure was a hard working fighter, but she would need more inspirations to come up with a fitting name. After looking away from the Skiddo again, she tried to look for the Foongus, who looked like it was quickly picked up by its friends in a hurry to rest.
Narctar congratulated the Skiddo on handling multiple Foongus, and climbed on top of the Skiddo. The goat warned Narctar that he might Tackle another wild Pokemon if they dared to show up, and might be better to hang onto Penelope instead. Narctar replied that he can jumped off this time if he felt any increase in the Skiddo's walking speed. Penelope hollered them gently to continue the woods, "Let's go, guys!"

Thick grey nimbostratus clouds like a large stretched across the heavens above like a thick comforter being stretched across the face of heaven. They hung low in the usually bright blue skies and seemed as though they would kiss the tops of the trees themselves. No thunder or lightning exploded from their tough, though with a simple whisper from the wind they unleashed their freezing rains. The rain poured down from the thick clouds in long sheets, covering the tall pines and large oak trees that shot up from the forest floors below to meet the heavens above. The wind howled as it kicked up and whipped around the tall trees, creating an almost eerie effect through the bank. Small fungi scurried through the impressive bank. Small green bottomed fungi were hop hop dancing and jumping about in merry bliss. Though, when a dark shadow fell over them, they would cower with wide eyes in fear before darting off in different directions. They tripped and stumbled with every step and nearly rolled all the way away from the dark shadows that loomed over them to safer pastures. One small green mushroom with its brownish-cream colored cap kicked the top of a bright orange bug bursting with tiny red mushrooms on the top of its head as it leaped over the small creature. The bug’s glazed over eyes seemed lost in the moment, as though the fungi on its back were suffocating the life out of the smaller specimen. It tapped its claws mindlessly on the ground while walking in a daze. Occasionally, the bug would find a piece of rotting wood or other such discarded debris within the littered floors of the bank and stuff it inside of its tiny mouth, to chew and eat obsessively. It wouldn’t be until its glossed over eyes landed upon the Skiddo with a feverish hunger that the bug would show any real speed or interest. Like a bullet being fired from its chamber, the small orange mushroom raised its two thick pincher-like arms and wailed at the top of its lungs as it charged after the Skiddo as fast as it could. It began click click dancing as it released a thick, poisonous powder in the air around it while skittering as fast as it could. Though the Skiddo seemed largely unaffected and easily rammed the other Pokemon with his head. A Wild Paras appears! Level 10. What will Penelope do? Decide here. Item? The Skiddo was obviously way too strong and fast for the Paras. Penelope could see that, but she was lingering in the Ilex Forest due to personal reason. Just as the last Paras was quickly down from the tackle from the young calf, the second Paras was also gone for good in an extremely hasty conclusion. Everything was happening so fast that Penelope caught a glimpse of the Paras... grabbing one of its legs with one of its pincers?! Did a leg fell off?
Oh, the horror.
This was a conflicting matter of her positivity or optimism. Paras were grass types right? Could they heal themselves? Could they grow a new leg? She didn't know enough about Pokemon biology or survival in the wild to understand what would happen. Her new friend Skiddo did not cause this, right? She had so many questions. Oh no, oh no, oh no! Her mind had so many questions. She was just a young nature girl trying to protect nature, and she felt like she damaged nature instead. Her legs fell downward on its own like she's in an anime. She covered her head with her hands as she needed to process what was going on.
On the other hand, the Skiddo recognized a patch of grass that he began munching on it, while keeping an eye out on the next Pokemon that dared to appear. He would definitely go for a tackle again, as this seemed easier. His mouth began moving to chew the grass.
OOC: Using Tackle on first encounter. Ma'am, did you just amputate a Paras's leg?
