The ember seemed to have taken well enough effect, perhaps this match would be over soon. Word was going about that something big was about to happen, so Rhoan wanted to be wherever the action was. Something about a Safari zone? Perhaps she'd get to leave this battle and go find Pokemon. If not, she'd find something good anyways. Cayzle seemed to be pulsing with power, judging by his attacking. Perhaps he'd evolve after this, he seemed pretty antsy about it before. although he'd been with them a short time, he was probably going to give Tyrana a run for her money.
Alright Cayzle, let's try and finish this. I want to go see what all the buzz was about. Give it all you got in an ember! She called out, gritting her teeth while looking at the Ledyba. It just seemed to be high and mighty and full of energy. Perhaps she could change that. [/blockquote]

The hail was pounding down relentlessly around them, accompanied by the occasional rumble of thunder. A sudden gust of wind sent a small cluster of pellets streaking under the haven of the tree, striking the unwary Pokémon and human taking refuge. Cayzle shook off the ice, glad these pieces were too small to cause any damage. Ledyba seemed suddenly terrified at the sensation of the hail, leaving the chick a wide opening.
Puffing up his internal flame sac, Cayzle inhaled deeply before leaning forwards ever so slightly, spitting out flames as he breathed out. The ladybug turned back towards him, finished inspecting the hail that had stricken its shell, only to get Cayzle's Ember straight to its face. This seemed to be the last straw for Ledyba, who buzzed around in a drunken manner, its movements sluggish.

Finally, after a few more seconds, Ledyba collapsed to the ground, fainted and prime for capture. Cayzle snorted and made to totter back to Rhoan when he felt a surge of energy rush through him. A faint glow surrounded his small body, feathery crest to talon-tipped toes. The young fowl looked up at his trainer, excitement burning in his dark eyes; evolution was upon him at last!
Congratulations! You defeated the wild Ledyba! The spoils of war are as follows; Cayzle gained 2 levels and is now Level 16! +1 Happiness! Cayzle can learn the move Peck, but knows four moves. Rhoan watched with expecting eyes as the Ledyba was finished off. Cayzle seemed to be acting strange, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it, not being around Pokemon for long. However, he soon did start to glow in the same manner Tyrana did when she was preparing for evolution, so if push came to shove, she would take a stab and say that he was evolving. A smirk rose to her lips as she gave a nod, allowing the Torchic to continue on with the process. The light glew even brighter, causing Rhoan to shield her eyes, but when it receded and she looked again, Cayzle was definitely not the same chick anymore.
For one, he had arms, which was definitely something to be happy about. She switched around the moveset via the stolen pokedex, and returned the now masculine Pokemon. I'm glad you don't look like a helpless chick anymore. You deserve this power. She smiled lightly, before pocketing the pokeball and walking back towards town. Apparently, there was a festival...
---
And indeed there was. She'd aquired a few Pokemon from a 'friend', the person she kept buying all of her Pokemon from. However, these two held potential. She'd never seen them before, but they were interesting. One was so small, it liked to stay in Rhoan's hair. She didn't mind, as long as it didn't bite her. But the tiny Pokemon did seem to have a bit of a special power when it came to electric attacks, and webbing. She'd have to use that. The other? A crocodile. Something interesting all in itself, and something she planned on training up and using. Let the training begin! [/blockquote]

After coming back from Violet City the day had not changed all that much. It was a bit quieter, but the routes were just as packed with festival goes it seemed just as badly as the towns themselves. All sorts of shopping and excitement about rare Pokemon. Most people were jabbering away not even caring about finding Pokemon on the routes at the present because Unova was putting on their last festival ever for Johto and most people in the region did not want to miss their chance to collect some fun new Pokemon, decorations and everything in between. One trainer seemed to be disregarding the normal flow of people however getting off the main route and trudging through the grass where more common Pokemon to the region resided. The grass felt gentle as it brushed against your legs with the light breeze. The people now a good distance off were still quite loud, and like fish being scared of loud noises Pokemon were very similar. Well that was at least what any Professor would tell you. Truth is the Pokemon in the area were really starting to get mad that all these people were around. They liked the peace and quiet of the routes, but these festivals were quite disturbing. One such Pokemon had gotten fed up and seeing its chance to take some anger out as the Bellsprout jumped out of the tall grass trying to scare Rhoan and her team. YOU to LOUD!!! GO AWAY!! The little Pokemon seemed down right furious slinging its vines every which way. Even though you could not understand what it was saying it was quite clear the Pokemon did not like the fact that you were there. Wild Bellsprout Level 12 Appeared! Choose A Pokemon or Flee!

((Leaving this battle, trying for another mon))
The Bellsprout had made itself seen, but Rhoan rolled her eyes. She didn't want to waste her time with that. Besides, two hits and the Pokemon she wanted to train would be gone. Granted, this probably wasn't the place to train it, but still. She was going to get some levels in on him before she started challenging the gyms. Hatari needed a little beef up as well, so it was time to do such.
But not with this pokemon.
nah, I think we'll pass ya. You seem irritated anyways. She yawned while taking a fork away from it to walk about some more. Reaver scurried around her scalp, which tickled slightly, but she did nothing about it. A good sneak attack, in her opinion. Have something jump from her hair and BOOM. She chuckled at the idea. The Bellsprout was even more angry now as it had no one to take out its anger on. But this trainer seemed far to formidable anyway. Her Pokemon were quite happy and in top shape the grass Pokemon had no choice but to slink back into the grass defeated. It felt horrible having not even had a chance to prove itself let alone take out aggression on an un-expecting foe. As Rhoan and her Pokemon made their way through the tall grass the crowds seemed to diminish even more. She was really getting off the beaten path now. If that wasn’t enough the grass and the tree’s were getting far more wild now clearly not taken care of like the ones next to the route. It was harder to move forward through the high vegetation and grass now, but her Pokemon still seemed in high spirits and the day was still quite lovely regardless. Without warning long green vines seemed to appear out of a tree moving fast and efficiently straight at the ground in front of Rhoan and her Pokemon. From high in the branches of a tree a small green Pokemon decided to make itself known sliding down the vines like a slide. It was a cute little bug Pokemon obviously excited to see a trainer and her Pokemon. It had won many battles against other trainers and wished to test its skill against this new trainer that had stumbled across its path. Wild Spinarak wishes to Battle. (Level 12) Fight or Flee?

Although it wasn't anything she wanted to fight, Rhoan figured it was time to allow one of her new soldiers to partake in battle. She rummaged through the pokeballs she had until she felt the new, glossy ball that held Cola, the Sandile. She gave it a lazy toss and out popped the crocodile, immediately snapping his jaws before looking behind himself at his trainer. Cola, this is a battle. I'm sure you know what they are, judging by that scar on your snout. Let's see your strength in battle with a bite to that spider over there, shall we? Rhoan cocked the visible eyebrow and waited for the Crocodile's response.
It snorted and turned, ready to prove itself in battle. It was true, the jagged scar on it's snout was a battle trophy, although as scars do, they never seem to fade away, much like his fighting spirit. With a snap of his jaws, Cola charged forward, ready to attack. [/blockquote]

Spinarak studied its new foe carefully, noting its dark bands against the tan hide Cola possessed - perhaps a Dark type? Clicking its mandibles, the arachnid seemed pleased, as its Bug typing would prove useful here. But speed, however, was another issue, as Cola had the advantage in this category. Following his jaw snap, the sand crocodile was on the move, his legs moving in tandem to move his bulk to where the spider waited.
Sandile had an odd way of walking; stomachs lifted off the ground, forelegs moving opposite of their rear legs, tails held straight out for balance and direction. Cola's approach had confused Spinarak, the spider having never witnessed such a spectacle. This proved, well, stupid, as the sand-dwelling croc opened his rather massive jaws wide and lunged forwards.
One of the Spinarak's legs made a pleasant crunching noise as his teeth caught it, the rest of his maw sinking down into the spider's side. Spinarak clicked its mandibles furiously, its other legs stamping about from the pain. Its abdomen suddenly lurched upwards, the face pattern contorted by the muscles contracting; the menacing look it had taken on startled Cola into stumbling backwards, releasing his hold and harshly cutting his speed.

Despite the type difference, Rhoan had confidence in Cola. Enough confidence to send him out for hte battle, at least. Were it a stronger bug, perhaps she'd be a bit more wary. But the only way to test someone's true strength was to put them into a corner. The Sandile didn't seem to mind though, having a bit of a one track mind to begin with. Cola, hit it with another bite, please. She commanded. The Crocodile gave a nod, and stared at the Spinarak.
Well... a bit dumber than expected, but at least he's obedient. The tick Pokemon thing I got seems to be obedient enough as well. The last thing I want is someone starting an anarchy or something. [/i] She thought, watching the Pokemon snap it's jaws multiple times before preparing to charge at the spider. Although Rhoan hadn't been a trainer for too longer, she was starting to create a pretty good team of obedient soldiers. Well, as obedient as Hatari could be... [/center][/blockquote]

Growling low, Cola snapped his jaws as he charged in once again, annoyed with the Spinarak's antics. He charged forward, intending on attacking once again, but balked at his sudden drop in speed. As he lagged behind, the wild Spinarak darted forward, pincers spread wide. Before Cola could react, the spider had clambered onto the tiny croc's back and had bit down hard on the back of his neck. Cola hissed, then stiffened as he felt the energy seeping from his body. The Spinarak absorbed some of the energy, the injuries from Cola's last attack healing ever so slightly.
After a few moments of struggle, Cola finally shook the spider from his back. Snapping his jaws angrily, he charged for the Spinarak. The spider scuttled away, trying to dodge the gator's bite. But the croc moved too swiftly in that moment, and Cola's jaws clamped down on the Spinarak's legs once again. The Spinarak hissed in pain, struggling to escape the iron grip. Eventually, the Sandile released his grip, and the spider scuttled away, wincing in pain as it put pressure on its injured leg.

It was time for a little Xavia motivation.
C'mon, Cola! Soldier, your speed was lowered, not your attack! I want to see that Spinarak limping! She called out, to the surprise of Cola. He wasn't aware he'd taken a drill instructor as his trainer, but he was going to kick it into shape if need be. The reptile snapped his jaws together in a reply before swinging head head away from Rhoan and back towards the Spinarak in front of him.
Now, I want a stronger bite than that last one, got it? She called out. Cola gave a snort and charged forward again, despite the slowed status. He'd attack...
eventually. [/blockquote]

Despite Cola's determination to sink his teeth into the spider, the crocodile was having trouble rushing forward. Instead, his pace was quite slow, realizing it was still slightly intimidated by the Scary Face the Spinarak made before. In short, caution made him unfortunately slow. The Spinarak took this to its advantage. Without hesitation, the Spinarak scuttled forward, pincers bared. It had tasted the blood of Cola and now wanted more. You could practically see the drool forming at its mouth as the Spinarak reached the Sandile. It pincers pricked into the Sandile's side and absorbed blood, feeling its energy build up. Cola let out a snarl of fury, feeling his strength being sapped away. Acting quickly, the crocodile swung his head around and managed to sink his fangs into the Spinarak's body. The Spinarak squealed in pain, releasing its grip on the Sandile as it felt the razor sharp teeth latch onto it. The Spinarak struggled furiously, but Cola kept its steely grip on the spider. The Sandile gave the Spinarak one vigorous shake before tossing the spider. The Spinarak felt its body sail through the air before plummeting back to the earth. Spitting sand out of its mouth, the Spinarak slowly got back onto its feet, glaring angrily at Cola, who gave a growl of satisfaction to see the Spinarak battered. --------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- Wild Pokemon Battle Wild Spinarak |Level 12|HP: [red]7/35 20%[/red] Stauts: Attack -1 Successful Leech Life Rhoan's Cola |Level 10|HP: [orange]15/33 45%[/orange] Status: Speed -2 Successful Bite

(bought a few pokeballs but haven't been updated yet, using one here so next mod can see to update Violet shop. sorry it's short, tendonitis.)
Rhoan dug through her bag to fish out an open Pokeball. Thankfully, she'd replenished a few when snhe visited the Pokemart a few days ago. Aaaand... move. the crocodile was surprised, and turned to face her. the pokeball was new to him, so he moved in hopes of not getting hurt by the strange device. Rhoan chucked it down the path at the Spinarak. She figured she could sell it if anything, the Pokemon was toof ast to go up against in ccombat with Cola looking like he was.
(sorry for typos. wrist brace/tendonitis D:)

Hissing a little through its creepy mandibles as the Sandile moved to one side, it had clearly perplexed the spider. It too unaware of the use of Pokeballs and the like. However, it wasn't so dim that it didn't realise an object was being THROWN at it. Scuttling from side to side, it watched as the Pokeball left Rhoan's hand and with an arching over its abdomen upwards and heightening of its legs, shot forward a thick string of silk like web that dabbed onto the Pokeball. Spider's web or no, it did little to deter the spherical device as it homed in, gently nudged on the Spinarak and scooped it up inside to be processed in the confines of the red and white Pokeball. Landing to the floor, it began to rock back and forth. At this rate, Rhoan was gaining quite an arsenal if this capture should go through successfully. Once... Twice... Thrice...

Successful capture.
She grinned a bit, reaching down to pick up her newly aquired treasure. Nothing too fancy, but something that might be easy to sell to some brat who was too lazy to go catch a bug himself. Cola seemed to be enjoying the power up as well, or at least as much as Rhoan. The ball was thrown into a bag and Cola returned. After a quick glance, Rhoanfigured out where she was and returned back to the outskirts of Violet, in hopes of challenging the gym.
