* Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu?
I would like to become a moderator of ZapdosZulu to assist the other members in getting fast replies. Since many of us, including myself, have been advertising, many new people are joining and I'm sure you'll need some assistance with it. Plus, I love role playing. <3 It would be very fun to be a mod and be able to do the battles for others. * Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads? Although I am very new to the site, I am indeed active. I'm always ready to post, and my activity will not be going down anytime soon. I have a good grip on the rules, so I will indeed be able to moderate threads if you accept me as a mod. I hope my being new to the site will not effect your decision about whether or not I will be accepted as a mod. * Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another roleplaying site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past? Yes I have. I was one of the two admins of a site, which I would link to if it had been closed. I assisted with the plot and descriptions, as well as new members, so I have experience with this stuff. I would like to thank you for reading my application, hopefully I will be accepted. <33 Thanks!

Wow, I only just noticed these a moment ago. xD I must be going blind in my old age but it's good to see that there continues to be interest in the position. I've read some very impressive applications so far but for the time being, I will only be selecting one member to train at a time and will place the rest of you on a waiting list until I get to know a bit more about you and your roleplaying style. Hopefully, this process goes by quickly as I plan on taking on many new Moderators so don't worry, the rest of you won't be forgotten. The person that I have selected to train first is arzadon, so when you're ready, you may begin your test here: zapdoszulu.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=teststaff&thread=1569The main reason for my choice is that arz has impressed me greatly with his commitment to the site. For four or so days, 90 posts is quite an achievement and on top of this he has even been kind enough to offer to update our evolutions list. I can't ask for a better candidate than that. xD Missa ~ I think I'll be prepared to train you next after arz. I'm impressed by your level of activity and if you keep it up, you'll be sitting the test very soon. Wes ~ I would like to get to know you a bit more. I'll be closely monitoring your thread in NBT just to get a sense of your roleplaying style. Also, your activity has died down somewhat so I'd like to see you get back into it and participate more around the forum. Lassarina ~ Same thing applies really. I'd like to see you on more regularly as that's what we'll require of Moderators in the future. Thanks to all of you that have applied. I will retain your applications and give you notification when I believe you are ready for the next step.

Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu? I come on this site every day and see that people always needs mods i come on odd hours and some not so odd hours where there are sometimes 7 or 8 people on and only one staff member i think i could help out alot on that because like i said i am always on this site. i also have been making my own but as of right now it has no members and is in constrution but i am just going to wait on it till i can get better ideas.
Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads? I can say i have become a pretty active user on the site, and i do understand the rules now i started off slow but know i have the hang of it
Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another roleplaying site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past? kinda but not really i tried starting my own but it didnt work out to well i couldnt think of a really good story line so i am just stopping on it for a while till i get better ideas. but i also play other rps and see what staff does and all that i read alot of the staff's replys on post

Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu? Well, ZapdosZulu is slowly becoming a site I check every day, even after school. It's a cool place, and I feel like I would enjoy helping out here.
Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads? I'm active for how long I've been on. And although I don't have as much understanding of the rules and procedures as most, I learn quickly.
Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another roleplaying site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past? I've been a mod on a few sites in the past, all of them died sadly. x.x I've been an admin on a few of my own RP sites, as well. And I'm a responsible person in general, if that helps.
All in all, blame Joey for me applying so soon. I was gonna wait for a few weeks, but he thinks I should apply now.

I've decided to give Darkdawn a go at the test first of all. Joey's recommendation has to count for something. =P When you're ready dark, your test can be found here: zapdoszulu.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=teststaff&action=display&thread=1740&page=1Jessecast, I want to see a bit more of an improvement in your roleplaying style and your grammar before I make a decision. First of all, please capitalise your "I"s but we'll retain your application here for future reference.

Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu? I'm in no hurry to be one, so consider this application simply a reservation for whenever you need extra hands. I wouldn't mind actually upping my post count considerably before I was to become a Moderator - just gives one more credibilaty. I have free time just about every day, my time zone is GMT 5, and I'm generally posting roughly... 7 times a day? If so needed, I could even just be one who swipes the new biographies and greets new members, perhaps a board cleaner who moves inactive threads to the archives? I'm pretty flexible. (: I love to make new skins, too.
Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads? Active, yes. I've logged on at random times starting at 7:30 in the morning all the way to 12:30 at night. I've got a set schedule most days so I'm online everyday. As for my knowlege, it's credible. I've asked questions about the procedures used by Mods during role plays; educated guessing/ rough Internet calculations for damage ratios, simply keeping track of Pokemon's levels and when they evolve, such and such. Though I realize as a Moderator it is not necessary, I am capable of higher word counts in my posts, generally 250 on average. Members shouldn't find complaints with me as I'm not argumentative (I just happen to have a bad reputation with advertising now, which I should have just left to Joey anyhow xD)
Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another roleplaying site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past? I've run many sites in the past, the longest lasting one I was Third in Command for almost three years. I've also run my own Pokemon role plays, so I can honetly say I know the ropes. Maybe along the line, whether staff or not, I'll throw out lots of promotional ideas and role play events. Expanding the site and giving things away is half the fun XD (One of my favorite/ biggest events was giving members a chance to roll for a random Pokemon, just with obvious limitations.) Well, that's that. Just my reservation, if you've got anything else to ask me or you'd like me to work on, I'd love to hear it. ^-^ Thanks Oak!

I was going to wait until I was a little more established, but Revolvingscott manhandled me into this Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu? To be honest, I first came to this site to escape from my staff life in my older site, but for the past few days I've been a member here, let's say I've met a couple of guys who I care for, and honest to goodness, I love it here. The main reason is simply that I really want to help since you guys seem a little short of hands at the moment and I feel like I can offer something other than sprites and graphics in return. I spend a lot of time on the PC and have the site's page open on a near-constant level, and I'm a night-owl. I also love writing. A lot. Elaborate posts which I tend to put a lot of heart into. I also make a good mother hen to the newbies and can offer decent RPing advice. My older site is dying, and I'd like to do what I can to make sure this one keeps strong. Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads?I generally do not small-talk on the recreation boards unless there are interesting topics abound on which I can offer my two cents, but yes. I'm more or less active. 12pm-6am type active, because my line of work demands that I use up a lot of PC time for stuff. I also live in a place with a 12 hour difference from the states so I can get to the threads of guys who post outside of the normal American or British GMT. Asides that, I have read the rules a number of and know what is basically needed of me in such a position. Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another roleplaying site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past?....Where do I start? Yes. Two, to be exact. Each time, I serve as a deputy and never the admin since I prefer to be the one lurking in the shadows pulling the strings My first experience was also during my first time RPing which is nearly two years ago; I was the deputy of an E-Fedding site (WWF Revival), and was in charge of graphics, writing multiple match outcomes and researching many wrestler movesets to come up with satisfactory results , tending to the Power Lists weekly and approving contracts. I also acted as the middleman several time for members who needed to get match booking from the admin. My latest is as one of the (only) major mods in the Yusoh region. Due to problems with other fickleminded mods, I'm generally left running the place to myself whether it be approving contracts, moving boards, making group threads, fleshing out city and town descriptions, creating and managing NPCs or juggling multiple members' replies under my wing (because I tend to be very protective of the people I mod, I can and will grab as many as I can and make sure they're happy with my writing). This site used to have a system where members were assigned to mods, and I can proudly say that all ten of my hatchlings recieved consistent, well thought out responses at a waiting time of no more than two days. Please take your time with this as I'm in no hurry at the moment. I'm just here to help after all. I'm not here for power. Thank you for your consideration.

Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu?
Well, I've only been here a whole three (four?) days, and I already love it here. I never get attached to a forum as quickly as I did here at ZaposZulu. I'm on as much as I can with school and work, (and I'll sneak on at school when there's a chance). The members and people here are fun giving me and everyone else a reason to be around, theres hardly a 'dead' day (and now that I've said that it'll have a dead day, -sigh-) and well, with the trickling of new members and the upheld number of unmodded threads, I just thought it would be nice if there could be another active Mod around to help out.
Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads?
Yes I'm an active member, even though I currently at the time only have one role-play thread. I understand the rules (shouldn't we all?) and I understand how the form and general procedures of how to moderate a thread. Hopefully the fact that I'm only a few days old won't effect your decision. Is there any way I can keep this application on hold, or something? (;
Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another roleplaying site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past?
I have a lot of administration experience, and I have almost the same amount of Moderating experience as well. Right now I'm admining a realistic wolf role-play, and the two sites I was moderating on have been deleted due to inactivity.
Thanks for reading my application~

Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu? I have been involved with sites like this for a long time and although I have fluctuated on remaining with role playing because the sites come and go in activity, I have always enjoyed being a part of these creative communities. Responding to my own posts and trying to figure out how I can make them unique is something I like doing because I can try out new ideas. Then when other people comment on my ideas, good or bad, it gives me reason to keep doing it or try to improve it. I cannot always be posting though because there limits to the speed my thread can or is allowed to go. Earlier in the year I had the opportunity to briefly become a moderator here and it was great with the right sort of people. Felt like I was helping to make other peoples experience better and leading them towards becoming better posters as I replied by example. Now that the school year has loosened its clutches on my soul, I once again have the time to give to the site as a moderator.
Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads? Yes, I have been an active member, twice actually. I only came back about two weeks ago, but I was here for almost two months before that and became acquainted with the forums and its rules. Last time I was hear there weren’t a lot of people around the forum but I came to understand the core role playing threads like the character creation and the towns. This time around there has been more activity in casual forums plus the addition of more refined venues to add to the experience. Been around for two different generations of people and have come to understand how the forums work under those two different settings.
Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another roleplaying site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past? As I have said before, I was a moderator here. Unfortunately, I was unable to keep up with the site, let alone my duties, and had to step down so I could focus on school and other matters. It happened around the same time that Andrew left for a bit except I stayed gone. In that time though I took the tests and was moderating several peoples’ threads so I did work while I was a moderator. I was also a moderator for a while at another role playing site because I progressed enough and my duties involved making up original quests for players and creating new areas and creatures. That site has gone the way of the dodo though and I was one of the last to leave. Definitely think that I still have the skill to be a moderator still, just need to reacquaint myself with some of the more technical aspects.

Ruffian Riley ~ has gone missing in action. :/ But I will hold onto your application for you and give you a shot at the test if your activity picks up again. AZ Knight/Trent ~ It's great to see you eager to start modding again and we could use your expertise. I've had a little look at some of your fine work and it definitely exceeds our current standards so I'll hand you a Moderator position immediately and give you time and the opportunity to work your way up to G-Mod status, which you held before. Make sure you read the rules again to note the new changes as well as this thread: zapdoszulu.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technie&action=display&thread=1187 I look forward to finally working with you.

Are you still accepting staff members Professor? If so, I'll apply. Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu? Because, being a member, It feels very boring. After all, you only get to post in your thread and it can take a day or two for a mod to post. When it comes to RPing, I can get a little impatient. Being a mod will allow me to post all around and time really does fly when your modding alot Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads? Heck yea! I am very active and I understand the rules and procedures of the site to mod threads. Allthough, I may need to be reminded from time to time but yes I do have the understanding of the rules and the activeness to mod. Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another roleplaying site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past? A little bit, I was asked to mod in place of an inactive mod. I only held the position for a week, when the mod returned. After that, the admins considered me for a while and I became a mod again, this time for a month. The site was closed due to a flame war, plus spam. I visited it until they announced that they would delete the site forever. After a goodbye thread that lasted about 15 pages, the site was deleted.

Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu?
To aid in the abiding demand for active and erudite Moderators for the ever-going population of new members (Like myself.) that intend, or have already joined the site. I feel I could contribute to the site, even with something so simple (yet essential) as NPC’ing. I enjoy it fairly much, and believe I could play a key role in the happiness and gratification that radiates from the Members with a Thread complete, or reply.
I enjoy RP’ing, and most of my Staff positions involved reviewing Profiles, and NPC’ing. Personally I enjoy NPC’ing better because it gives me the opportunity to evaluate and understand my fellow members and how they RP. It’s also humbling to know I’ve helped someone gain something. I find it fun actually, and could do daily if required of me. I’ve been RP’ing Pokemon for around 2-3 years, and I’ve been watching it for like ever So I have more than a moderate understanding. Anyways, thanks for considering openings for the Staff Team.
Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads?
I’ve only been on the site for a few days, but I’ve been active those few days, lol. I intend to stay active because this site is that Da—Darn good! I’ve thoroughly read the rules, and have grasp a moderate understanding of how things are done and executed on this site.
Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another roleplaying site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past?
I have staff experience from previous sites. Though of high-ranks than others, but nonetheless, I’ve moderated on numerous sites in the past. My staff experience ranges from NPC moderation, to Owner. I have 3 reference sites, because the olders one have died, or I simply don’t claim them anymore due to technical and personal reasons.

Well, since Member of the Month is over and I just remembered about this, I'll go and post my application if we still are hiring. - Why do you want to be a Moderator at ZapdosZulu?
I'm not entirely sure why, to be absolutely frank. Ever since the staff employment has started, I've always been in the back an hem-hawing about it. A lot of the other members know about this as well. But I didn't feel like I'd be properly applying earlier since I was still new. But now I've melted right into the forum and the community, having a wonderful experience here as I gain popularity among my fellow members of the forum. I don't want to get a spot on the staff simply because it is available. That is what I find to be a driving point for many who have signed up. First day on the forum, the first thing they do is with their first post is to make an application to the site staff. I simply cannot understand why. I've first wanted to be part of the forum, a regular face. I want to get to know the other members, to communicate with them, and to be apart of them. I want to play with them as well. And before I could apply for staff, I felt the need to be a member of the forum first. And since this place has been good to me during the past number of months, I feel the need to start giving back. Maybe I cannot advertise and bring in the members like crazy like Joey can, but maybe I can help things move along here with fun, entertaining posts.
- Are you an active member of this site and do you have some understanding of the rules and procedures of the site to be able to moderate threads?
I signed up here a few months ago and have been steadily active ever since, if not one of the most active members both outside and inside the role plays. I don't mean to sound like I am tooting my own horn, so I ask that nobody misunderstands me, but I've already made the accomplishment of getting an entire party of six Pokemon together before other members have. Of course, I have to thank the generosity of the staff who would reply to me because they liked me and found my posts entertaining to reply to. It was an odd procedure at first when I joined since I felt uneasy with how things went down here. But since I have been role playing, I've found it much easier to just do it instead of worrying of the details. I feel like I have obtained a good grasping idea of how the moderation system goes around here, but I will not lie when I say that I might come across something that'll have me confused. But I'll learn to bypass the hurdle, even if it is via process trial and error. I make a mistake, I'll pick up the pieces and learn from it, continuing forward.
- Have you had any past experience as a staff member on another role playing site or have you taken up a role of responsibility in the past?
I have never moderated for any other site or, for that matter, even role played on another site. The closest thing I have is a close friend of mine being an administrator of a site and how I would hear his rambles of how a site should be run for the member base good entertainment experience. I could go on here, but the question is answered. I have no prior experience.
