With Amelia, you're going to get someone who stands out from the crowd. This is most notable in the fact that she is 6' 3". This is tall for a girl at the best of times but Amelia's obsession with high-heels really drives her height in further. Amelia is of the belief that it doesn't matter who you are, where you are, or what you're doing, you should be wearing high-heels. Amelia's shortest pair comes in at just under 5 feet. For years she has trained herself to walk in heels, no matter how tall. Amelia's favourite pair are over eleven inches and were a present for her 16^th birthday. They are slender, stilleto heels on a platform with black leather that reaches up to her thigh and the platform and heel itself are golden and angular. Ritually, she polishes these to perfection and wears them to important events (eg. balls) but she has packed them with her to take to Johto (and later Kanto) for Gym Battles and other significant battles over the course of her journey.

Amelia is also a strong believer in exposing a bit of leg. Be it thigh, knee or calf; Amelia has spent a lot of time walking in heels to get the legs she has and she's going to flaunt them! Due to this, Amelia spends the majority of her time in skirts and dresses; not trousers. That being said, for when there is an overwhelming chance to get filthy, Amelia will wear a very old pair of jeans she has packed with her. Other than that, those jeans are never leaving her bag because of how old they are. Amelia's usual skirt is a short, pink one with ruffled edges that make it look worn out. Amelia was wearing these the first time she saw a pokémon and have always treasured them thusly. Other than that, Amelia has a vast wardrobe of skirts that she has somehow packed away into her bag, along with a significant number of dresses. Amelia favours dresses when she is going to a party or out to dinner; however, generally, she views them as too formal for casual wear.

Then, there's tops. Amelia likes her tops to be either gorgeous looking or amusing. Often, she'll come across a t-shirt in a shop that's, aesthetically, quite boring but she thinks the slogan written on it is funny so she purchases it. These would mostly be her 'travelling' clothes when out on her journey. She'll wear these on routes, when she's getting from place-to-place, but when she is in a town, she'd much rather wear her conventionally pretty blouses. These are normally quite expensive (which is why she doesn't have too many) and gorgeous. Amelia doesn't accept anything but the best when she's trying to look nice.

Her obsession with fashion comes across when people look into her bag. The big, black, leather bag is bursting to the brim with clothes and heels. This often proves tedious to carry around so she usually ends up delegating a pokémon to carry the monstrosity about.

On the whole, Amelia isn't that pretty. She's got rather plain features but sports an endearing smile when she's genuinly happy. It's often said by those who know her that you can easily tell when she's pleased as her smile fills you with joy, too. To mask her plainess, Amelia adopts a religious use of make-up. She doesn't use too much (she knows that isn't a good look) but the little she uses goes a long way. Her pale, freckled skin immediately gains a youthful colour that contrasts with her small amount of black eyeliner. Then, lipstick. Lipstick is also one of Amelia's greatest loves. She has multiple shades of red and one pink for when she's feeling in the mood. In fact, her makeup bag is mostly comprised of lipstick.

Amelia's hair is an ever-changing mess of a thing. She dies it at least a couple of times a year. She began her journey with jet-black hair but, when in Cherrygrove, bleached it so that it was platinum blond. Then, she slowly added a pink hair dye to it. Now, it's an extremely white blond to see but, when the light hits it, it adopts a stange, pinkish hue that dazzles most people when looking. Then, there's the styles. Her hair is naturally straight as a ruler but, when staying in towns, she often likes to change it. This normally takes the form of a blast of curling tongs before it's a wavy mass of hair. However, when Amelia's in particularly filthy surroundings, she will use one of the multiple hair bands she sports on her wrist to hold it up, away from her face and, more importantly, the mud. One of Amelia's greatest fears is that her hair will become filthy and she won't be able to wash it within time.

Accessories. Amelia often likes large, outlandish earings that draw attention to her. These could come in the shape of 2 inch, multi-coloured feathers or long, extremely thin chains that shimmer from beside her face. In terms of bracelets, Amelia never really saw the point in them. She wears hair bands on her arm (as mentioned prior) and rarely puts on anything else. However, she has the odd, glamorous bracelet hidden away in her bag somewhere. Her necklaces are, also, usually quite outlandish. That being said, she rarely wears them despite her love for them. One of Amelia's greatest phobias is that she'll get strangled by her necklace. Because of this, Amelia will usually wear them only in towns where she knows police are on-hand and she can get help swiftly.

Personality:

Amelia is a clever young girl. Despite her lack of social skills, she has a way of connecting with pokémon that has led her to pursue a life travelling with them, learning about them, getting to know them. She becomes obsessed with things quickly and has slight neurotic tendencies, coupled with a mild case of bipolar, she quite literally comes and goes. If you manage to break through her hard outer shell, formed through a combination of lack of social skills and a general distrust of people, you will find a sweet young girl looking for the love that she keeps inside along with most of her other emotions.

Background:

Coming from a modest household because her father left her mother since before she can remember. Her mother managed to make a good living with a small flower business but it was still just enough to get by on. As her mother was always out, Amelia learnt to keep herself occupied at a young age, developing an interest in pokémon and their magical powers.
Her first proper contact with a pokémon should probably have traumatised her, finding a dying sentret would affect anyone let alone a 7 year old girl, still discovering the world. Somehow, she had the wit to tell a passing Officer Jenny what she'd found. One emergency trip to the local pokémon centre later and she had already got her first experience of the cruel harshness of life (and death). But instead of allowing such a gruesome sight to take hold of her and turn her into a traumatised wreck, this incident instead ignite the burning passion she has for pokémon.

It detests any form of weakness, & strives to be the best pokémon on the field. On the rare occasion that this arrogant pokémon loses, it will go into a fit of depression. In which it will constantly ignore it's trainer, or refuse to battle.

Nature/Personality: Born to a broken family, Dionysus has learnt how to live rough. His father was the lead guitarist of a Ground-type Metal band while his mother sat at home, trying to bring the children up correctly. At 3, Dionysus snuck onto his father's tour bus without anyone knowing; because his father was unable to deliver him home, (They were touring Sinnoh at the time) Dionysus learnt how to be a rockstar at an early age. Ever since then, he has aspired to be just like his father who died when Dionysus was 6. After inheriting his father's guitar, Dionysus went off into the big, bad world and begged for money while playing his guitar on the streets of Cherrygrove. Here, he met Amelia. With her, he learnt to look after other pokémon and be friends with others. They are probably the closest out of Amelia's team, something Dionysus is proud of but not boastful about. Often seen as the ringleader, Dionysus will play his guitar and lead Amelia to victory whenever she calls on him.

Nature/Personality: Clever. Crafty. Cunning. Victor is a mischievous genius. He is usually thinking of ways to trick people or embarrass them and generally goes through with the ideas. Not being the stronger battler, Victor's main strength lies in his tactics and is always popping out of his Poké Ball to point out what Amelia should do in a battle. Victor is also extremely proud and wants to take credit for everything he does and doesn't stop pointing out the times he has come up with the winning plan that secured Amelia's victory.
Victor also stands out as a Pokémon able to speak English with Amelia. Learning it from the monks in Sprout Tower, he slowly became fluent and is the official translator between Amelia and her pokémon. The ability to speak is both a Godsend and a curse to Amelia: it's nice having someone to talk to but it's also annoying because he rarely shuts up.

As camp as he is powerful, Darren is a super metrosexual Ducklett with an eye for all things fashion and female. However, surprising as it may be, he actually bats for the lady Duckletts - he just prides himself on his effortless charm and dashing good looks. In fact, back in his old flock, he was known as Dashing Darren (in Ducklett-speak, of course!). All the female Duckletts used to love him, almost going as far as to elect him leader of the flock. Unfortunately, this plan never came to fruition as his mortal enemy - the super-straight male pokémon. He confuses and bedazzles them all with his razor-sharp wit and fashion critiques but, for some reason, they don't want this in a leader! They want big, muscular Duckletts with massive beaks and, although Darren is quite a strong Ducklett, he's a puny, wee thing - very lean with a small tongue that will cut any one in two in a battle of wits... in a battle of brawn, Darren's much more of a runner. That's how he ended up flying away from the flock - one night, they were all sleeping when the males all cornered him at the back of the Unovan cave they were staying in -= sensing now was the time to leave, he shot out of the cave, knocking three of them down in the process.
On Amelia's team, his flamboyant nature means that he and Venus get on like a house on fire. Being two hot chicks, both into fashion means they have a great wealth of things to talk about. Plus, now that there's a water type reading it with her so every time she accidentally sets it alight, a quick Water Gun saves the day (and the Louis Vuitton). Him and Amelia also get on very well with him picking out outfits for her and beating her with his cane every time he disapproves of her clothing. She always listens because he's always right. Dionysus and he have a friendly relationship as Darren has promised to design Dionysus' costumes for his next Johto tour. Victor also finds Darren's wit absolutely hilarious and goes so far as to try to provoke fights between Alejandro and Darren when bored because he knows that Darren will have some new insult to spit at the Ralts.
On the other hand, there's Alejandro who despises Darren for the exact reasons why the male Duckletts didn't appreciate him. Alejandro is also rather jealous of how comfortable Darren is in his own skin (and feathers). As an incredibly insecure pokémon, Alejandro doesn't understand how the Ducklett can be so confident with his perceived lack of masculinity... resulting in one or two pecks when he isn't looking. Arzadon shares a similar disdain for Darren but much less so as he respects Darren's talent on the battlefield and so is more than willing to work with him if needsbe.

Nature/Personality: Venus is her greatest fan. She doesn't like to battle unless she wants to prove herself to be better than another pokémon. She doesn't like to battle as she doesn't want the battle to destroy her 'good looks'. She will always put herself first and if she had to choose between looking at herself and preening herself or helping out other pokémon and her mistress, Amelia, she would choose herself without a second's thought. She is fully aware of this character flaw but in actual fact, thinks people see it as endearing!

Nature/Personality: Initially, Pena was a terrified little mouse that ran away from everything. It all began with her brutal attack from Minou, Amelia's Meowth. Ever since, Pena has always kept close to Amelia, seeing her as the source of protection in a sea of petrifying things. This all changed on the eventful day that Amelia visited Sprout Tower. Here, Pena learnt to fight and use her special move (Ice Beam) to her advantage. She has now become a strong battler and one of the main components of Amelia's team. The two are very close with Pena still calling Amelia 'Mummy'.
