Alex was refreshed and excited to go back to fishing Poliwags. Catching that Bellsprout earlier had helped him to regain his energy and enthusiasm back. With the Poliwag standing on the dock, he grinned and tossed out a Pokeball and an order. He said, "Go, Casilk! Use Gust! I need you to practice aiming your wings on the Poliwag if it moves!"
Out from the Pokeball, a colorful Beautifly appeared, flapping his wings gently at first. Then, after he had spotted the Poliwag, he blew powerfully to create some wind to toss the water Pokemon around.
Alex thought to himself, just a few more training and he could challenge Bugsy. Also, a few more Poliwags to catch

The battle went underway as Alex hooked a common water type pokemon. The Poliwag shook its tiny tail that it had as it was now out on dry land. The pokemon was still a bit wet since it had only been in the water for some time. Casilk got the first chance to attack as the butterfly pokemon flapped its wings. The force was so strong that the pokemon created a sharp gust attack at the Poliwag knocking the small and tiny pokemon off its feet and onto the ground. A few seconds later the Poliwag got back up onto its feet shaking the dizziness that it received from the attack. Soon the pokemon inhailed and released a powerful stream of water and aimed it at Casilk. The attack had been a strong one but Casilk seemed to have plenty of strength left. The butterfly flapped its wings as the water was starting to be shaken off of the bug pokemon. Now it seemed both sides were dowsed with water. Battle

After seeing the exchange of attacks, Alex was getting used to this. Just a few more Poliwags, he told himself. He wondered if all of the Poliwags in this Fishing Jetty know Water Gun minimally. If they do, then he could train his grass type Pokemon as well. He was also satisfied that, one by one, his Pokemon are almost ready for Bugsy's gym battle.
Though, for now, just a few more Poliwags. Looking at how powerful the gust attack was, he ordered his Beautifly something different. He said the next command, "Casilk, use Stun Spore!"
The bug Pokemon began fluttering and releasing yellow powders from his wings, hoping to hit the water Pokemon.

Casilk knew the power of its spores. They could Poison, Paralyze, Induce sleep... oh, the wonders of spores! And all at the tip of his wings. It was a pleasing idea really. Casilk shuddered, his wings releasing copious amounts of these dangerous little spores. Casilk enjoyed watching them go. They were so pretty, yet so...worrying! For his opponent anyway. He watched Poliwag next, who didn't seem to know what was going on. ....At least, until the spores hit. The Pokemon began struggling, feeling less and less able when the spores finally drifted over to it. Sparks emanated from it whenever it tried to move. Left, right, up, down, whatever happened, it just stood still Casilk did love it! that was just the effect of his spores. Poliwag was staring at him angrily, but Casilk just circled around it, observing the effect of the spores. Needless to say it wasn't going to attack this turn. Happily, Casilk flew back up to his place in the sky, waiting for Alex's next orders. --------- Alex's Casilk |Level 17| Health: 45/52 HP Status: Normal! Attack: Stun Spore! VS.

Alex's smile widened to a clever grin after he saw the effect of Stun Spore crippling the Poliwag. Since he was looking for quick capture, he dipped his hand into his pocket and withdrew an empty Pokeball.
He took a deep breath, not because he was anxious, but because he's been catching and battling all day, and then shouted to his bug Pokemon, "Casilk, stand back!"
Then, he threw the Pokeball into the Poliwag's direction. It was paralyzed anyways, so it probably can't move or dodge.

The Poliwag whimpered softly when it saw the trainer pull out a Poke Ball, then glared. 'Don't even think about it!' it thought, struggling to move. 'Stupid humans with their stupid tame Pokemon! They think they're so great, but they're not! All they are are hyped up dogs!' it thought, managing to flap its tail and scoot forward a little bit, but not move any more than that. When the Beautifly heard its trainer's command, it fluttered away from its stunned prey, keeping an eye on it in case it managed to break free from its paralysis. He fluttered at shoulder height, careful not to dust his trainer with his paralysis dust. The Poliwag closed its eyes as the Poke Ball was thrown towards it, the capture device striking its back and popping open with a click, a red beam shooting out from it and enveloping the water-type, sucking it into the ball. The ball began to weakly rock... It rocked twice... It rocked three times... CLICK! OOC: venipede has exp share so it should be level 18. This is self- updated.
also request poliwag once again.
I am boxing Spinarak for now, and withdrawing Azurill from box
IC:
Alex wasn't sure how long he had been fishing and how many Poliwags he had caught, but with the offer he had by fishing Poliwags for other trainers, he was sure that this wouldn't be a bad thing. Additionally, his Pokemon still get some training from battling wild water types Pokemon. If he had fish a couple more, he could probably get his team to higher level, too.
He was also mildly enjoying his Beautifly using Gust over and over, and also knocking down Poliwags and Magikarps right back down into the water. Though a slightly stronger Pokemon like Poliwag would come back up to battle some more. He was enjoying this strategy. He might not be able to sleep tonight thinking about his Beautifly sweeping water Pokemon off their fins, or feet.
Well, there he went and cast another line in the water again, looking for yet another Poliwag for battle. He wondered if the community of Poliwags under the pond would notice the missing Poliwags being caught.

'You Pidgey?' taunted a very young Poliwag, chasing another across the bottom of the water. It was much smaller than a normal Poliwag, perhaps half the size. The other, much larger, a normal sized Poliwag, chuckled as it slammed its tail into the mud and propelled itself forward once more, vanishing into the various plants that grew along the bottom of the lake. The younger darted in after it, weaving easily through the thick leaves and vines. It managed to catch up to the elder, and rammed into it with its head, letting out a loud laugh at the startled cry that escaped the spiraled elder's mouth. 'You're it!' it taunted, spinning three hundred sixty degrees and rocketing away, easily keeping ahead of the elder. It zigzagged through the water, taunting the bulkier Poliwag as they played. It startled groups of Magikarp and Tentacool as it shot through the water, before shooting straight up. It rocketed out of the water, sending splashes of water flying, before getting rammed by the other Poliwag, who had shot out after it. It rocketed away from it, and landed next to Alex with a cry of shock. It looked up at the male trainer before squeaking and struggling to its feet, stumbling back. A ~Level 10~ Poliwag has... landed next to you? What will you do?

The fishing rod didn't even move, but another Poliwag had leaped from the water. He quickly pulled out the Old Fishing Rod from the water, just to avoid having another Pokemon attacking in the middle of this battle. Then, he carefully placed the fragile rod on the deck, and proceeded to order his Beautifly for another "routine" attack. That would be almost routine, but he was getting close to fishing all the Poliwags he needed.
"Casilk, another Gust!" he shouted, excitedly. His flirty Beautifly flapped his wings, creating a big stream of wind in the Poliwag's direction.

The Poliwag gulped audibly with fear, staring wide-eyed first at the human, and then at his Shiny Beautifly. 'Oh Arceus, holy Arceus, save me!' it pleaded, rolling its eyes to the heavens. It began to tremble, knowing it could do nothing to deflect the inevitable attack of the tamed Pokemon. 'Okay, my first real battle, which attack should I use? I could use Water Sport, but he isn't a fire type so that would be a waste of an attack. Hypnosis? No, there's a pretty good chance that would fail. So I guess I'm going to use Bubble.'It seemed to pale when the human gave its Pokemon a command, and worked to steel its weak feet in the ground, knowing they wouldn't be able to take the strong Gust. It turned slightly so as to make itself a smaller target, as Casilk began to flap its wings rapidly, throwing up dust as wind began to shoot towards the water-type, quickly knocking it off its feet. It tumbled along the ground like a tumbleweed until slamming harshly into the wood post at the end of the pier. The attack was too much, and the little Poliwag fainted. Would you like to capture this Poliwag?

Adding 1 happiness to Beautifly for the battle. (now +4) On Venipede, replace Poison Sting with Poison Tail Putting Beautifly and Venipede in Box. Taking out Budew, and transfering Soothe bell from fearow to Budew Moving EXP Share from Venipede to Lombre And Im taking out Cherubi Also corrected an error that Bellsprout should be level 12 in my box. And Im blank and boxing that Poliwag. (omg, that's a lot of things LOL)
Im fishing for Poliwag again, I'll auto-update the level after the encounter post.
IC: Alex was getting a bit bored, fishing one Poliwag after another. Thankfully, he noticed that his Venipede and Beautifly were trained to a high level. He made a trip back to the Violet City Pokemon Center, and swapped out some Pokemon to train before he would head to the Azalea Town.
Before he left the Pokemon Center, the dark and cloudy sky grumbled. The young trainer returned to his room and grabbed a jacket to cover the rainy battles coming up.
Of course, he still have some Poliwags to capture, so the next thing he did was doing the same old thing, and swung his Old Rod to the water. Now, his mind was wondering if his constant fishing would be depleting the Poliwag population in this area.

When Alex threw out the bait again, the rain was falling steadily and silence everything around him. He had to wait for almost an hour, seing only a flock of pidgeys flying by, when about half of the hour had past. He had to throw out the bait several times too in the attempt of catching the interest of yet another poliwag. Though at the moment, it seemed like the lake was empty. Perhaps he really had had a bad influence on the population and even if he hadn't caught them all, he had definitely chased some away, as the lake was undisturbed. Then finally something happened! A shadow slowly swam closer to the bait, though the dark water made it impossible for Alex to see what it was. It circled several times as it tried to decide if it should go for it, or not. Then, just as it looked like it was going to take the bait, a splash was heard, and it spun around and disappeared. When Alex turned to see what had disturbed his pray, he was a poliwag who was splashing around and seemed like it tried to get on top of the water. Like it tried to surf without any waves. A wild Poliwag |lvl 10|, tries to learn how to swim (surf) What will you do? (Weather: rain)

Alex thought that this time, the Poliwag took way too long spawn. He flung the Old Rod again and again, and he was also paranoid if he was depleting the Poliwag populations, and the Pokemon were suspecting about this. Although he also thought that there should be a lot more Poliwags than he had thought in the bottom of the water.
When the sky rained, he put on the hat of his jacket, and resume fishing. Then, a Poliwag appeared in front of him! He looked at the young Poliwag for a few seconds, before deciding on which of his Pokemon to send into the fray.
Then, he made a choice and tossed a Pokeball, shouting, "Go, Roshineu! Start with a Stun Spore!" Out from the Pokeball, a green Budew appeared. Instead of hopping energetically or squealing cutely, the grass type was just standing quietly, and watching the Poliwag carefully. She was watching it carefully before going for a Stun Spore.

(ooc: I actually thought this encounter as a fishing one, though it didn't took your bait. Have you updated your fishing lvl?) Poliwag turned when it heard some shouting nearby, and as it stopped swimming, it disappeared under water. A moment later it splashed through the water to the edge, where it shook itself to get dry, but was soaked by the rain, just as quickly. "Wagwag!" It greeted happily and looked curiously at the green bud, who was standing quietly and watched it. It then started to move like a clock in a strangely enchanting way, with its tail moveing opposit of the rest of the body. Roshineu, who was watching the poliwag closely, found her eyelids became heavy. And as she thought she released a cloud of spores, it was nothing else but a sweet dream. "Wagwag!" The Poliwag laughed happily, and waddled to get a better look at the budew, which it could do safely now, she was sleeping. Alex was comeplety ignored.

Alex realized that he had actually forgotten about Poliwags knowing Sing. This would happen consider that he was training his stronger Pokemon, and they gradually one hit knock out the opponent Poliwags. Now, he was training his weaker Pokemon again, using the type advantage of grass type moves on the water types.
As the Budew fell asleep, he could see her head drooping downward. He quickly withdrew Roshineu into her Pokeball, and a quick flash of red light engulfed the grass type. Next, he tossed out another Pokeball, sending out another grass type. "Go, Noctike! Use Poison Sting!"
Out from the Pokeball, a green, spiky Pokemon appeared. The spikes on the Cacnea's arms glowed white, and then the grass type focused her arms on the Poliwag. Alex wasn't sure how he was feeling about this Pokemon, since this was her first battle.
OOC: switch to cacnea and use poison sting also self add the 0.5 fishing level and deduct one pokeball
