Warming Up with Noodles and Battles [F]

The poliwag hesitated with its investigation, when the budew disappeared and another more spikey one appeared. It tilted its head, which resulted in its whole body to tilt, since it was all just the head. It then decided the cacnea was a thing it liked, and it jumped up and down happily.
"Wagwag, wagwag" It cheered and for every jump, water from the ground splashed up and around it, soaking it, and drifting in the air. Had Noctike been a fire type, and used a fire type move, it would have been a good thing to do, but it did little to the flying needles.

The poliwag stumbled surprise, when it felt the sharp stings hitting it, but it had a thick hide, so it was easily shaken off again. "Wagwag" It laughed happily and ran closer to Noctike, with a jump every other step. It started to walk around the cacnea to get a better look, and as it was between her and Alex, it suddenly noticed him.
It turned gaping as it looked more and more up, to finally see his face, somewhere high above it. He was so tall, compared with the poliwag, it fell to its back, in the attempt of seing his face. There it laid on its back, giggling.

Alex was disappointed that the Poliwag wasn't poisoned. So for this turn, he thought maybe he should just try to take out the Poliwag fast, and by lowering its health. Though before he could say his next command, he noticed that Ncctike was a bit angry at Poliwag.

"Cacnea! Ca-Cac-Cacnea!" The Pokemon shouted angrily for no reason.

He wasn't sure what was going on, he thought the Poliwag laughing in the rain was normal. But then perhaps the grass type thought the Poliwag was making fun of her. After thinking about this for what feels like couple of minutes, he added, "Noctike, it's not laughing at you! The Poliwag just likes the rain! Now, use Absorb!"

It was really easy for Noctike to hit the poliwag, as it hadn't tried to get to its legs again. Its giggling turned into a surprised gasp as its energy suddenly disappeared. Noctike herself, didn't get much from the new energy, as she couldn't contain anymore, which meant she couldn't collect anymore.
Poliwag rolled to its feet and sent Noctike a offended look, and hit the ground with its tail in its anger.
It then inhaled and quickly sent a few bubbles flying in the direction of the cacnea, which visiblely grew as they traveled throught he rain. They hit Noctike with no problem, but as cacturns was experts on absorbing water, it didn't hurt er much. 

"Good luck catching it! It isn't everyday you come across a desert pokemon in these areas!" A voice shouted encouraging to Alex. If he looked he would see a young bou, with black skipey hair, and a ledyba on his shoulder. He would give Alex a tommel up, before he would start to walk away, continuong what he was doing out here.
As the poliwag was standing closest to Alex, with its back to him, facing Noctike, who was facing both Alex and poliwag, the other trainer, had apparently believed, it was the poliwag, that was Alex's pokemon, and Noctike.

Alex turned around when a random boy trainer walked by shouting some things muffled by the rain. He was sure he won't need any more luck to catch yet another Poliwag. He had caught so many of them, that he should be expert in catching them by now, and also weakening the Poliwag.

Even though the rain had amplified the Bubble attack, the grass type trainer knew that he could take this Poliwag out quickly anyways. He ordered his next move, "Noctike, Absorb again!"

Then, the cactus Pokemon raised her arms as the spikes glowed to perform another health-draining ritual. He opened his backpack in the rain and grabbed an empty Pokeball to prepare. Now, he was hoping for a rain-resistant backpack, since his backpack is now soaking wet.

(OOC: sorry for the short post.)

The poliwag ignored the other human, as it was busy being offended by Noctike. It sent several blasts of bubbles at the cacnea which was harmlesly absorbed or avoided if Noctike found it more correct to do that.
When the other sounded and Noctike casually raised its arms and made her spikes glow, the poliwag looked in amazement. It hadn't seen the last time the cacnea had used the attack, and as it had never seen it before, it did not know what was happening. Not before it was too late.
The poliwag staggered backwards, eyes wide in shock, when it felt a lot of the energy being sapped from it again. It legs started to wobble and it stared blankly at Noctike for a moment, while its suddenly exhausted brain tried to figure out what to do.
Then rage filled it and the adreneline gave it new powers, it did not knew about. It jumped swiftly allthe way to the cacturn pokemon and sent a serie of bubbles straight into her face.
The force from it, hurt Noctike a bit, but she still more enjoyed the water, than being damaged by it, no matter how furious the poliwag was.

Seeing how fast the Poliwag was weakened by the grass type's super effective Absorb, he was ready once again to catch another Poliwag. This was getting boring and he might needed a change of scenery..... He reached for another Pokeball, a perfectly made red and white sphere for basic capture of Pokemon, and tossed it carelessly in the Poliwag's direction.

The capture device was soaked in water as soon as it was in Alex's hand, and it glided through the air, not before falling down on the Poliwag's head... And Alex's anticipation gone up once more, because even though catching Poliwag was easy, he was hopeful for the sphere to be not broken.

The pokeball, flew unhindered by the rain, and hit the poliwag so hard, it was thrown off its feet. It didn't get time to hit the ground though, as it was sucked into the ball, in a red flash.
The poliwag didn't even get time to be surprised, or even understand what happened, before it was struggling with its capture. The ball, wiggled back and forth a few times, but with the indication sound, it finally stopped.

*Ding*

The capture was successful!

As the pokeball laid still in the wet grass, everything was silent, like the whole area had held their breaths, while the poliwag had thought for its freedom.
A few more poliwags peaked up from the water, and looked like they wondered what they should do.
But as soon as Alex or Noctike moved just an inch, the poliwags, disappeared below the surface and was gone. It seemed like it would take some time to get more of those.

blanking poliwag in my PC
and I would like to request a Swablu please!

Aaannd Alex had captured another Poliwag. One after another, he seemed to be hoarding them from this route, but he really wasn't, since he was just helping people who don't have the time to fish for Poliwags in this route. He reattached the bait and flung the Old Rod again into the waters again. Despite the rain, he wasn't going to stop yet, as he was getting close to the end anyways.

Then he realized that he forget to return his Cacnea. Though seeing how he's training multiple of his grass type Pokemons, he decided Noctike could stay outside of her Pokeball for now.

"This rain isn't too bad, huh? Why don't you have some fun in this rain?" he turned his head around at the Cacnea, while his hands were holding the Old Rod. The grass type got a bit angry, thinking that Alex was critiquing her seriousness.

As Alex threw out the rod again, the rain started to slow down, and soon it became a drizzle. The silence fell over the area, and soon the rain stopped intirely too, and sunrays broke throught the thick layer of clouds far above them. Dripping sounds were still audible as water droplets fell from leaves from all the trees, and made everything shine as the water reflected the sun.
A few sentrets with soaked fur, made their way along some bushes, while a pair of ledybas fly over the head of Alex, with a buzzing sound. Two of the sentrets rose on their tail, in a curious but wary way, to see what Alex was doing. Then they jumped down to all four, and raced after the rest of the sentret group, and disappeared into the undergrowth. there were no sight of any poliwags, and the surface of the lake was undisturbed.

Then a single swablu came flying from Violet and over the lake in a direction, that required Alex to swim, if he wanted to follow. And the chance of keeping up with it, was near zero.
Beating wings then broke the silence as a flock of pidgeys came rushing in the same direction of the lonely swablu. Shortly after a few bellsprouts came waddling as fast as possible, and changed direction as soon as they discovered Alex, and they too disappeared into the bushes. They were followed by countless of spinaraks, two more Swablus and a single shellos. The latter jumped straight into the lake and disappeared into the depth. they all looked like they had been running away from something.

Everything went quiet again, and no other pokemon showed themselves.

10 minutes later, the silence was broken once again, this time by some quite different noises.
If Alex turned around to see what it was, he would see a group of trainers they had all pokemon, and plenty of pokeballs with them, walking by, chatting and generally just looking excited.
Two more raced past them on a doduo and a girafarig, forcing the first group to jump to aside to avoid being tramplet. They shouted angrily at the two riding trainers, who ignored and continued directly at Alex and Noctike. They would have to move quickly if they wanted to avoid being hit by the pokemon's feet.
"Hurry, hurry, hurry.." One of them mumbled hushed, though they passed so quickly it was difficult to say whom it was.

As the big traveling group got to their feet again, they collected all there stuff. It looked like they were going on camping trip, as they had all the equipment to stay out in the wild for several days.
They had a lot to pick up, and meanwhile a middle aged man and a young girl apperead. The man made sure the group was alright, before ha and the child turned away from the road, and started to move in the direction of Alex. They didn't look like they were interested in him, as they were chatting about what ever they were happen to be doing.
"Do you think we wil find one Daddy? I would looove to get one, they are so be-a-uuutiful." She asked excited and giggled. She couldn't be much more than 10, and her happiness made the pachirisu at her feet, race around excited.
The man smiled, and his lazy-looking tauros, which he had on leach, ignored the small ones, trying to take a bite of grass now and then. It was packed with camping-equipment, so they were going for some camping too.

Why was everyone going on camping now?

(OOC:I don't know how used to are to this sort of playing Tiki, so I'm going to explain what I have in mind. If you already know, please forgive me ^^
Yoy are free to interact with any of the npc's human or pokemon [though the wild pokemon probably just will run off, since you asked for the swablu], and I will encourage you to do it. I have an idea of how you meet the swablu, but how exactly it will happen, depends on what you are doing in your posts ^^)

Alex was minding his own business when the rain suddenly got harder, and then stopped entirely. He exhaled a sigh of relieve, as he didn't need to protect himself from the cold and wet weather now. He let himself to be dried by the sun and the wind as the sky got brighter. Noctike, who was out of her Pokeball, had the opportunity to enjoy the fresh sun after the rain. Alex wondered if this would helped in her growth.

The arrival of the sun seemed to be an entrance of disturbance to his peaceful fishing. First it was a pair of Ledyba flying, and then there were Pokemon and humans rustling. He could heard noises going around him, but his eyes were still on his old rod and the waters. Though, a single Swablu flew by, and it caught his attention for a few seconds.

He turned his head backward a bit, and saw some trainers walking, prepared with equipments and gadgets. He was curious what was happening, and tried to deduct in his head the sequence of event. First, the rain stopped. Then, a commotion of trainers and wild Pokemon. Then, a Swablu flew by. Perhaps, he thought-- just as he was reaching a conclusion, he heard something coming!

The inspiring doctor looked and saw two trainers, one riding a Girafarig and one riding a Doduo! Noctike too was caught by surprise. Alex panicked and fell backward, landing on his butt with two palms on the ground. Noctike... she just bounced backward, but nearly falling into the water had she not struggled to balance herself for a few seconds.

"Hey, watch out! Medical fees aren't cheap if I get hurt!" he yelled at the two incoming trainers.

the first part is just re writing/summarizing what you wrote. Alex is thinking about his life almost got trampled by a Girafarig to hear the campers chit chatting. I hope this is enough for you to work with.

The girafarig, who was the rear of the two, had to make a sudden stop to avoid collide with Noctike, and the rider cursed. He glared frustrated at Alex, as he tried to calm down his mount enough for continue. "Then stay at the Hospital, if you can't figure out get get out of the way." With that he hammered his heels at the sides of the girafarig, who jumped forward, and they were off.

"Morons!" A voice commented, and showed to be the middle aged man and his daughter, who had hurried to Alex, when they saw what had happened. The man was glaring at the last glimpse of the two rude riders, before turning to the fallenyoung man, with a worried look in his face. 
"Are you alright boy?" He asked, and offered Alex a hand, to get him back on his feet. The girl was standing shyly behind him, and looked between Alex and Noctike.
Her Pachirisu was scolding the long gone riders, and waved a little paw threatening in that direction, and probably only got the courage, because they were gone, while the tauros was grassing lazily, where he had been left.
"Why did they do that?" The girl asked, and her father frowned as he wondered how to explain it, to the young girl. "Didn't they like you? And what is that?" She asked Alex, and pointed on Noctike, which was a pokemon she hadn't seen before. If she was allowed by Alex, she would try pet the cacnea.

The area became quiet again, as the larger group followed the road, and disappeared out of sight, and the girl started to look restless. The man looked at her and smiled.
"Daddy! Aren't you going to introduce us?" The girl asked sassy, and put her hadns on her hips, which made her father chuckle. "Of course my dear. I am Reymond and this is Sally." The girl made a dramatically curtsey and then asked Reymond, when they were going to continue.
"There wont be any back, if we don't hurry! I want one!" She exclaimed pleadingly, which made the pachirisu look worried at her, while her father got a serious expression.
"You know we can't be sure to even meet one, even though there should be plenty around at the moment. There are no way to be certain when it comes to pokemon." He stated firmly, and the girl looked down, not at all less restless.
"I appologizes, but we better be going if we need to have a chance to catch one to Little-miss-impatient here. I guess that is why you are out here too? Have you happen to see any? I fear they will soon be chased away, when there are so many trainers hunting them."
He looked questioningly at Alex.

By now Alex was completely distracted from fishing the Poliwags, and he was especially distracted with this fiasco. With that response, he thought those Pokemon riders were rude and inconsiderate! He wondered if they would commit murder if given the chance.

Then, behind the Pokemon riders, he heard a voice asking if Alex was doing alright. He turned his head and saw an old man, a girl, and a Pachirisu. He quickly got up himself and replied the old man, "I'm alright. I just don't know why they're so rude!" Not that he would know, since his mind has been focus on Poliwags lately, and the last time he interact with anyone was the Pokemon Breeder and the Bellsprout Tower. "Actually, they were kind of rude like the people in Bellsprout Tower. I still don't know why, though."

"That's my Pokemon, a Cacnea, She's grass type. I got her when I won the price to visit the Safari Zone." he responded to the girl, and then saw the Pachirisu by her, feeling the need to comment. "And that must be a Pachirisu? I spent my childhood in Sinnoh, but I haven't seen any Sinnoh Pokemon in a while. I can't remember..."

"Oh, I'm Alex. Are we battling?" he quickly greeted and awkwardly asked, seeing he was still a bit confused by this sudden commotion from his peaceful fishing area.

Then, he listened to the conversation between the girl and her father. What were they trying to catch again? What Pokemon is found around here again? At the end, he added his comment, "Um, if you're trying to catch Shellos, they're around, just a bit harder to find."

Reymond shrugged at Alex commentary on the rude trainers. "Not all people are polite unfortunately, as the world would be a much better place. I guess this hunt only make things worse, though." He looked at bit concerned at the direction the two riders had disappeared.

His daugher didn't seemed worried at all as she was way too occupied with Noctike and still tried to get to pet her. She didn't heard his answer about the Safari zone, but she did react to the questions about Pachirisu.
"Isn't he cute?" She asked Alex happily and the Pachirisu ran to her to get some petting. "I wont one of the cute birds to keep him company, since he is alone most of the day. They will be so cuuute together!"
She huggled the electric rodent while looking at Alex. "Isn't Sinnoh far away? How did you get here?"

Her eyes widened when he asked about if they should battle. She shook her head wildly. "I don't wanna battle you! I'm just loosing and that's not fun!" She exclaimed and her father giggled.
"I'm afraid we can't offer you such a thing, as we're in a bit of a hurry and neither of our pokemon would be a good challenge. They aren't used to battling." He explained with a smile.

Sally's showed disgust. "Eeew! I don wanna shellos! I wanna Swablu!" She look at Alex like he was crazy, how could he ever think she wanted a snail?

Reymond looked surprised at Alex. "You haven't heard about the Swablu swarm? That is the reason so many are out here, as they try to catch one."
"We're here at the same reason, since Sally here has fallen in love with it, though with this many out, I fear we wont find any. If they haven't all be caught already, they are surely being chased away."

A loud crash was heard nearby and both Reymond and froze and stared in the said direction.
Sally was the first to move, as she grapped Pachirisu and ran to her father, where she hid in his arms.
"I don't know what it was, Sally, but no worries. I'm here and I'll keep you safe." He mumbled as answer to the muffled question from his daughter.
Reymond looked at Alex. "I know we just have met, but could I ask for your help to check out what that was? As I said we don't really have any battle experienced pokemon, and I fear what it could be."
Reymond took a few deep breaths to be able to act calm and reassuring towards his scared daughter. It showed to be necessary as another loud crash was heard along with incomprehensible shouting, which was surely angry.
It was just behind a group of trees..

"I got to Johto by boat, the distance wasn't too bad," Alex replied the girl with a Pachirisu. She seemed to have only one Pokemon now, and the young girl seemed interested to catch one of those Swablu.

"Oh, so you wanted a Swablu! I've caught one for a friend some months ago, they seem to be traveling between Johto and Hoenn a lot," he commented.

Then, he heard a loud crash from a direction where the other two strangers were looking at. He paused carefully to listen to their request, to which he replied, "Are you sure? If it is a Swablu, you could take it out with your Pachirisu..." He sounded like he was offering the kid a chance to catch another Pokemon, but one of his foot was subconsciously walking toward it, since his habit of curiosity had taken over him.

"Come on, Noctike," he looked at his Cacnea, who was sunbathing, while he was collecting his items. "Sunbathing time is over, let's see what's going on!"

The Cacnea thought he meant literally over and her face reddened, to which Alex quickly added with, "We'll come back to this dock later, okay?" Then, the two went toward the direction of that crash.

Reymond looked seriously at Alex. "That is excactly the reason I'm asking for your help, since I don't think a swablu made those chrashing sounds."
Sally clung to her father and looked scared towards the group of trees. "I'm scared!" She told him, and he gave her a hug and told her, she needed to be brave if she wanted a swablu.
She immediately told him she didn't wanted any and wanted to go home. "You don't mean that my Dear. Anyway we need to check if there are anyone who needs help. We cannot just leave someone injured in the forest. That is why Alex is here, he has strong pokemon and you can see he is already going to check what.." Reymonds voice slowly was drowned out as Alex walked towards the trees. The shouting soon proved to be orders and curses, and made it clear the crashes come from a battle.

As Alex got through the cluster of trees, he got a clear view over the battle happening in the clearing. It was the two rude people on the girafarig and the dodue who was battling a fisherman he was swinging around a fishing rod, and a blond longhaired chick, dressed in blue.
Behind them was a cage with around 5 swablus.

The battle didn't went very well for the rude riders, as the girafarig already was knocked out. As it lay up on a tree one of the crashes had probably being it colliding with the tree. Its trainer apparently didn't have any other pokemon, as he hadn't called anyone else out.

The doduo rider looked like to be a bird trainer as he had both a pidgey and a spearow out, along with his doduo.
"Henry, attack! What are you waiting for!?" The woman snarled at the fisherman who quickly ordered his two poliwags yes, more poliwags, Alex has some experience with them, yes?, to attack with water gun.
She facepalmed and started to shout at Henry, telling him how inept he was, while the flying birds easily avoided the hesitated water attacks.
The blue dressed's own Wobbuffet just stood in front of its trainer and watched, while her cubchoo was scratching its nose beside the swablu cage.

"Oh my! That looks like a Poacher!" Reymond suddenly whispered just beside Alex. The battle had drowned out the footsteps of the approaching man and child.
"We need to help the swablus! What should we do?" He asked while Sally still clutched to his leg with pachirisu on her shoulder. Sparks danced on its cheeks, and if told to, it would be ready to help.

Blue Trainer has captured a lot of swablus.

Her Cubchoo(lvl 16) and her Wobbuffet (lvl 21) are watching the battle.


She has hired Fisherman Henry to help her.

He has two Poliwags (lvl 12 and 14) out and battling the Bird Keeper.
