Art by the lovely Morri <3 ~
Name: Tanya Marie Jordan
Age: Nineteen (born on 4th of December)
Gender: Female
Trainer Type: Plain, good old-fashioned Trainer Would love to be a Ranger too
Hometown: Blackthorn City, Johto
Appearance: Standing at a tall 5'9, Tanya Jordan tends to tower over the smaller, more petite ladies, which she immensely enjoys. A slim, willowy figure fits perfectly in with her height, giving her slender yet strong limbs to boot. One of her most recognizable aspects is the long, glossy, auburn brown hair that flows down in gentle waves to the middle of her back. It tends to turn even redder in the right light, giving the girl a fiery mane to accenuate her spirited nature. With some sort of unknown infusion into her roots, Tanya boasts clear, olive-tone skin, giving her an almost permanent look of a light tan.
Set into her heart-shaped face is a pair of bright, mischievous, emerald green eyes. They glitter like a cat's when put in the right light, and are often seen dancing with mischief or glee. Tanya usually wears whatever she feels like, though her most favoured outfit is a gray, long-sleeved t-shirt with black sleeves, with a lacy white tank top worn underneath in case she overheats. Completing the ensemble is a pair of dark blue denim jeans, and feet clad in black leather boots. Some days she may wear a green and white ruffled short-sleeved shirt that comes with accessorizing ribbons, or a pristine white blouse with a low v-neck and button up front.
On cold days, Tanya enjoys wrapping herself up in a long black coat that reaches to the top of her knees with a decorative sash to tie round her midsection. A black, fluffy woolen cap will adorn her head, dark gray gloves sported to protect her fingers, and adding the last touch is an emerald green scarf made of a silky yet insulating material.
Personality: At first, Tanya appears to be almost lazy in her behaviour. She takes things one thing at a time, but this is merely a byproduct of her easy-going nature. A rather laid back girl, Tanya is an easy person to talk to and befriend, though she has a rather short temper that can be sparked by even small things. In arguments and debates, the fiery-haired girl won't back down until she proves herself right, and her opponent wrong, and will keep at it until either she wins or there's a ceasefire.
Her stubborn attitude tends to put off those charmed by her initial nature of a sweet-natured girl, but it is a trait she values well. Call it a core of steel, Tanya relies upon it to help her through testing times, and often perseveres because of it. A girl who keeps everything upfront, her emotions are usually as clear as glass, written either across her face or sparkling out from her gemstone eyes. But like glass tends to become cloudy, her emotions can become difficult to read. At this point, it's best to leave her be and let her sort things out herself.
When she was grounded for her misdeeds as a young kid, Tanya took to reading plenty of books. Thanks to this habit, she tends to be rather intelligent when it comes to battles. Strategizing is a key element to her style, and she rarely charges into a battle without thinking things over thoroughly. Tanya takes her losses in stride, and refuses to let them disrupt her focus until after the battle's finished.
History: Tanya was born in Blackthorn City, Johto, to Damien and Anise Jordan. Her father and mother had relocated from Cinnabar Island of the Kanto region to begin a new life in the beautiful lands of Johto and escape the constant worry of the local volcano. Growing up, their daughter seemed playful and adventurous, even getting nervy enough to play with her father's Ekans, Slither, when she was able to walk. Her parent's Pokémon, Meganium, Ekans, Raichu and Pidgeot took a liking to the tyke and kept watchful eyes on her while her parents were busy with other tasks, keeping Tanya out of danger and imparting wisdom when they could. Because of the constant immersion with Pokémon so early in life, the Jordan girl was able to connect with them on a deep level and learn how to nurture them to bring out their full potential.
When she was finally old enough to be introduced to the local kids around her age, Tanya seemed able to play fine with them, up until one day when one of the boys tried to bully her. It was a nice sunny day at the park, and Tanya and two other girls were playing in the sandbox when the boy came up and pushed her over and out of the sandbox. Undeterred by the act of bullying, Tanya got up and pushed the boy right back before resuming play with her friends. The incidents continued unnoticed by parents as she and the other children got older, even going into school. After the boy tried cornering her once again, she finally snapped and engaged in a playground scuffle, of which she emerged victorious. This set in stone her steel-headed stubborn side, as the fiery haired girl refused to let anyone bully her and wasn't afraid to fight back.
Of course, as they all continued growing older, adults took more notice of problems between children. Punishment in Blackthorn City wasn't restricted to scolding, time-outs or detention, but was instead something that usually inspired kids to never try to toe the line and be good. Delinquents were put inside the Dragon's Den for up to hours at a time depending on the severity of their 'crime' and left on their own. The tense atmosphere, rampant Dragon types and perpetual darkness (other than by the Shrine) were alone enough factors to force naughty children to do a 360 and be on their best behaviour - except, naturally, Tanya.
As a girl reputed for her fighting skills, acid tongue and general fiery temper, she ended up in the Den enough to make her the bane of her parent's existence. Tanya was tough enough to stick out any period of time in the Den until an incident at the age of ten that frightened her forever. A local Dragon Tamer had finally been allowed a private training session in the den with strict instructions to leave her on her own and to not speak with her. He released a Garchomp, Flygon and Salamence and ordered them to practice their best moves against each other. His Garchomp powered up a Dragon Rush attack and streaked towards one of its opponents, who dodged it and left the large Dragon to keep hurtling towards where Tanya sat, staring at the edge of the large lake and accidentally crashed into her, knocking her into the water.
Unable to comprehend what had happened, the young girl began to panic and subsequently inhale a large quantity of water, nearly drowning herself out of fear. One of the wild Dragonair that inhabited the lake swam up from the depths and wrapped itself around her and began carrying her to the surface, but the panicking girl mistook the Dragonair's behaviour as if it were trying to drag her down and began thrashing around again, eventually passing out when she couldn't find any air. She awoke a few minutes later with the Dragon Tamer and Shrine elder crouched over her, as well as the Tamer's Pokémon, but the damage had been done - Tanya became terribly frightened of Dragon types and refused to have anything to do with them.
Now that the typical punishment couldn't be applied to her, when she got into trouble, her parents simply grounded her and removed anything fun from her room except for her books. Spending an awful long time in her room meant she read a lot and was able to learn a fair bit about Pokémon and battling strategies, leading her to eventually gain the idea of becoming a trainer. However, this idea became a reality fairly soon when Tanya somehow managed to convince Slither to wrap around a boy from head to foot, and ended up getting him sent to the hospital to coax the serpent into letting him go. Her father went off on her, calling her irresponsible and telling her that she had to find something to do with her life other than being a mischief maker.
Thoroughly scolded, Tanya began to mellow out and be less of a troublemaker, eventually becoming a very laid-back girl as she entered her teens. Soon she was able to befriend plenty of people without them fearing a temperamental backlash from things they said in her presence. But after finishing school, the mahogany haired teen began to grow bored with life in Blackthorn and yearned for a change of pace. Her mother told her that some kids had gone down to New Bark Town, a trip through the local mountains that was well over a few days, to get Pokémon and become certified trainers. It was a choice she agonized over for several days, as she had plans to become a Ranger if the organization ever came to Johto for recruits, but eventually Tanya relented and told her parents she was off to become a trainer and embark on an adventure around Johto.
Despite her parent's initial shock, the duo accepted their daughter's choice and gave her supplies and some money to get her started before seeing her off. It took only a day to trek down to New Bark Town, as she had traveled through the mountains before and knew the quickest routes to take. Once she arrived, she headed towards the massive laboratory that Professor Elm worked out of and stepped inside, going through the arduous process of filling out forms and whatnot to certify that she was a trainer. And then it was down to the choice; the Starter Pokémon. But as soon as Tanya laid eyes on the Fire type, Charmander, she fell in love with the sweet looking, blue-eyed lizard. Christening her Saphira, the pair walked out the doors and took their first steps on an amazing journey.
Goals: - Get over her fear of Dragon types (somehow) - Make it back to Blackthorn - See at least one Legendary Pokémon - Meet the legendary Ho-Oh

CharizardName: Saphira Gender: FemaleLevel: 36 Attacks: Dragon Rage, Wing Attack, Flamethrower, Smokescreen Ability: Blaze Nature: Rash Personality: Saphira often lets her attention wander, even in battles. This tends to frustrate her Trainer, who tries not to snap at her Pokemon for anything. When the Charmeleon's attention isn't sufficiently distracted, she often tries too hard and overexerts herself to the point of almost fainting. When something startles Saphira, her first reaction is to stick her head in the ground or the nearest hole. After evolving, Saphira tries to take more risks, as if to prove her newfound strength. During a past battle, Saphira found a pretty golden dragon necklace amongst her trainer's things and had it put around her neck. It sports emeralds for eyes. Happiness: +15 Current Exp: 0/3997 HawluchaName: Valkyrie Gender: FemaleLevel: 10 Attacks: Wing Attack, Hone Claws, Karate Chop, Me First Ability: Limber Nature: Adamant Personality: Valkyrie is a noble Hawlucha with a strong moral code that she adheres to. She holds others to this code and will find a way to bring them in line if she feels they don't match up, leading to plenty of squabbles with other Pokémon. Despite this, Valkyrie has a protective streak a mile wide and will often step into battles to defend her teammates from harm. Item: Expert Belt HonedgeName: Falchion Gender: Male Level: 24 Attacks: Swords Dance, Aerial Ace, Shadow Sneak, Pursuit Ability: No Guard Nature: Hardy Personality: Falchion is a very noble, honour-driven Pokemon who thrives on dispatching justice to those deemed unworthy. Unable to speak or properly emote, he's a very difficult Pokemon to read, though one can almost gauge his emotional state by checking the cloth attached to his hilt. Has a mile-wide curious streak that can quickly get him in trouble, though he has more than enough courage - and stubbornness - to try and handle trouble himself. Happiness: +2 DeerlingName: Gaia Gender: Female Level: 10 Attacks: Double Kick, Growl, Camouflage, Tackle Ability: Sap Sipper Nature: Calm Personality: A quiet Pokemon, Gaia exudes an aura of peace that other Pokemon find hard to resist, and she is very clever and careful with her words to defuse tricky situations. She can be a bit shy of strangers, though she warms up quickly if they prove themselves worthy of either her trust, or her trainer's. Other: Staff of the Month June 2015 Item: Eviolite LopunnyName: Angelus Gender: FemaleLevel: 23 Attacks: Jump Kick, Return TM, Quick Attack, Ice Beam Ability: Limber HANature: Timid Personality: Upon undergoing evolution, Angelus' personality underwent a fairly drastic change. Though still acting like a perfect lady, Angelus now uses her feminine wiles and looks to charm and manipulate other Pokémon, mostly males, into doing what she wants. Even if in the middle of a heated battle, if she finds a male she's interested in, she'll drop everything and begin flirting, though it isn't clear if she does it to gain an advantage or just because she can. Still throws jealous fits of rage if Tanya has her attention directed towards other Pokémon and may misbehave to steal it back. Other: ZapdosZulu Promotional Pokémon; Easter 2010 Happiness: +11 Alolan SandshrewName: Iceblight Gender: Male Level: 10 Attacks: Defense Curl, Scratch, Ice Ball, Powder Snow Ability: Snow Cloak Nature: Adamant Personality: Stoic to the very last, but a born protector and often acts as a gruff big brother to younger Pokemon. He becomes very sluggish in warm weather, and prefers staying in his ball rather than walking alongside his trainer during such times. Item: Rocky Helmet

My Johto Misadventures! Tanya's Notebook The Adventure So Far
New Bark Town
SAPHIRA, DON'T SWING YOUR TAIL NEAR THE PAPER! ...wow, what a ditz. Hey notebook, it's T. Well, who else. I'm sitting on this very uncomfortable rock at the end of Route 29, since I'm kinda reluctant to go into Cherrygrove when it's almost dark. Mum bought this as a going away gift and expects me to use it, so might as well. She tried slipping a stupid Jigglypuff charm with it but I found it and had Saphira burn it. She's my new Charmander, but she's... a little bit of a moron (like moi), and kinda timid when something gets to her, but a decent enough partner. Hey, she even helped me find, battle, and capture two new buddies. I think Fiero's going to be a bad little thief, he already tried to yank the Rainbow Wing charm off my wallet-- HOLY CRAP FIERO LEAVE THAT LADY'S PURSE ALONE! Dammit I'll have to-- Log of my New Bark Town and Route 29 eventful visit: Here
Cherrygrove City; The Beach
We meet again, notebook. I'm penning this as I camp out on Route 30, on the way to Violet City at last. I had a whirlwind tour of Cherrygrove by night and day, and jeeze, there was sure a lot for the city to offer me. Fiero, being as charming as ever, managed to land me in water hot enough to boil Corphish and had me chased down to the beach. That's where I met Joey. What can I say about him? Charming, suave, ...a thief. He did help me fend off the people that Fiero stole from earlier, especially that snot nosed punk with money for brains. At least, for a guy, he's got chivalry when it comes to ladies up to their ears in trouble. After a sound thrashing of said punk, Joey taught me and Fiero how to properly steal from people. I know it's a bad habit, but hey, I need some quirks, ya know? It's late, I'll write about ______ my Cherrygrove adventures tomorrow..
Cherrygrove City
Aaah, that was some good, well needed sleep! After that adventure with Joey, I wandered around Cherrygrove to explore it a little before I pressed forwards. I ended up getting this mysterious egg after a run in with a Delibird and a vicious Houndoom! Then a wild Ekans, of all Pokémon, showed up and nearly crushed Fiero to death before I could capture it. In the middle of all the confusion my egg hatched into a wee Buneary! I named her Angelus, but Ignitus, a young Torchic I acquired from some passing breeder, seemed a little put-out at her arrival. But I digress, mm? After her hatching a Sandshrew attacked us over a potato chip intended for Iggy. He proved himself with that Flamethrower TM I got from that same breeder, and we walked away with a victory! After a quick visit to the Center, and receiving a very special gift in the form of my new Buizel Tempesta, I left Cherrygrove for the route I just left behind, Route 30. I battled a wild Mareep Veleno almost ate and caught it. It was an interesting experience, because... well, Saphira found something I wish she hadn't... It was ah... um... a dragon pendant. And she's wearing it all the time. But it's not her fault, she doesn't know how badly Dragon types scare me. Oh well, what can you do? At least I don't have to see it 24/7. This is where I'll stop for now, I guess. I'll write back after I do some sightseeing in Violet City. First stop: Sprout Tower! And my travels through Cherrygrove can be read over: Here
Violet City; Sprout Tower
Well, it's... some ungodly hour in the morning, and I'm probably getting some wicked grass stains on my jeans sitting in the grass instead of a bench like normal people, and writing in my notebook again. I just completed my journey through Sprout Tower, and boy, was it interesting! Ignitus and I entered the Tower to find a poor, wee Cyndaquil being attacked by some Bellsprout. We helped it out of that bind, and it was so grateful. It seemed like it wanted to climb the Tower, so Iggy and I said 'sure'. We got blindsided by some hateful monk on the next floor, but Iggy made quick work of him. I swapped him out for Saphira, and she and the Cyndaquil took down the next monk with ease. We then met the Elder, Elder Li, who welcomed the Cyndaquil like it was an old friend. Angelus took the partner position at this point, and with a good ol' strategy, we managed to defeat his Hoothoot and weird colored Bellsprout. He was a little upset he was defeated, but he gave me a bit of cash and a TM of Flash to boot! Not only that, but the Cyndaquil decided to join my team too! I named him Mojo, and despite the fact he's a real sweetie, I had to put him in my PC since my party is full. But I'm sure he'll see some future battles at some point. Eh well, better put this away before my hand cramps. My Sprout Tower shenanigans can be located; Here.
Violet City; Gym & City | Bon Festival
Why do I bother trying to write in the dark? Well journal, today (I think it's still daylight) I pen from Union Cave, having just finished a whirlwind of a week. After my last entry, I encountered a most uncouth boy with a, pardon the pun, fowl mouth. He accosted me, insulted my Pokemon, and then tried to get me to go on a date with him. Ha, as if I'd ever date someone as pushy and brainless as him... after a thorough butt-kicking, I knocked him out and left him in good hands. It wasn't long after that incident when my father texted me with an offer that was really sweet of the old man - if I hustled down to the local Gym, there would be one of my dad's friends waiting with a gift for me. A small interruption in the form of a weird pink Shellos, whom I captured and christened Maidaro, stopped me for a little while, but I eventually made it to the Gym. Fulton was nice enough, though the gift of a Skarmory was even better than the Rare Candies and TM he gave me. Starscream is a little cold, but he's amazingly smart and a great addition to the team. Not long after I received him, an upstart of a brat challenged me to a battle. It was Iggy's turn for training, and the Lucky Egg I found helped him right after we won by letting him evolve into an amazing Combusken. After all that excitement, it was time to crash at Fulton's apartment, as he offered it to me for the time he was out of town. The next day was time to get serious - the day I decided to challenge the Gym. Starting with Angelus and her Ice Beam was a great strategy, as I knocked out Falkner's Pidgey with ease. Next up was Saphira, who proved her worth by defeating the leader's Pidgeotto after a long struggle, from which we were both rewarded - me with a TM and Badge, and Saphira with her evolution into Charmeleon. Our thrilling fight can be found: here.No stopping here journal, 'cause there was an event that happened not long after my victory in the form of the Bon Festival. It was a fun, Halloween themed event I got to dress up for, though it seemed no one else did. Stuck out like a sore thumb. The guy I battled was tough too, but gave Starscream a valuable experience I hope he doesn't forget. It was a great festival, and I walked out with some nice items to give out to my team. My adventure can be found: here.Last one! Returning home and taking a day's break, I spent one day training before trekking out to Azalea the next day. Union Cave was an interesting experience, what with the Onix that nearly made Saphy wet herself, and gave Tempesta a good workout. Urk, my hand's cramping... gotta put this away for now. This is where it can be found and more.
Azalea Town; Town, Gym & Slowpoke Well
Well well, where do I begin? Azalea Town was definitely different compared to my escapades in Violet City. The first thing I encounter before I even made it to town was some very brutish poacher trying to wrangle a pair of Poochyena pups. When I say brutish, I mean big, bulky, hairy... get this, it was a woman. I mean I live in Blackthorn for Arceus' sake, I've seen a lot of weirdos.. but she took the cake. Thankfully I was able to stop her and the police carted her off to jail. I hope they groomed her hair, it was really nasty. After that I bumped into a very friendly man named Porter who not only graciously accepted my battle request, but offered to show me around the area. He took me into town and I was able to rest up and set out for my cottage. The next day, which was uncomfortably warm, I explored the fabled Slowpoke Well. I actually stumbled across some nefarious and pure evil plot engineered by Team Rocket! They were cutting off Slowpoke tails using a poor little Totodile... well I certainly put a stop to that. During that time Tempesta evolved into a wonderfully strong Floatzel, which probably made her ecstatic, although she seems to think her new strength gives her the right to beat up poor Fiero if she suspects him of stealing. Ugh. Following day I decided to explore the town and bumped into Porter again with Verchiel, the Poochyena I helped save from the poacher. He tried his best but Saphira ended up saving the day with her all-powerful Dragon Rage attack. There was also a stalker. But I'm never writing or speaking of this again. After all of this, it was another run in with Porter, who had some girlfriend drama. I mean serious drama. I mean the kind of drama you find on crappy daytime TV, the kind where cussing is every other word, half the episodes are "WHO'S MAH BABY DADDY", and the other episodes are cheaters and creepers. After taking care of her, it was training time once more! Veleno evolved into a beautiful Arbok... some other stuff, and I caught a shiny Nidoran Male I named Tiberius.. he's a bit of an ass though. My journey through Azalea can be located here. But that's not all I did.. between all of the fun times I managed to get in a Gym challenge with Bugsy. It was a fairly straight-forward fight, although Starscream got really upset when Scyther pulled out using a sneaky U-Turn and he wound up fighting a Kakuna instead. In the end I managed to win and get me a coveted Hive Badge! Proof of my victory. Then it was time for Ilex Forest.
People I've Met~ Joey Status: Good Friend Thoughts: Ah, Joey. He doesn't really seem like a biker slash rogue thief when you first see him.. well, more so the thief part. We first met on the beach of Cherrygrove City, where he helped me defend myself against an uncouth little shit-- I mean punk, pardon my language. We've bumped into each other multiple times, and each encounter is always interesting. He's definitely someone I consider a good friend, reflecting on the various shenanigans that occur while we're together, and Joe's also someone I can trust. Not many males can claim that honour. I'm glad we met, since he's spurred plenty of changes in myself that I like to think make me a better person.. well, one might claim that stealing isn't improving my quality of life but I beg to differ, haa. ~ Sandy Status: Good Friend Thoughts: Sandy's an absolute sweetheart through and through. Even though we met in an odd fashion, she was quick to help me out. We ran into each other again when I got stranded in the woods during a blizzard and I encountered her cabin. She proved to be selfless and just so innately good when she not only trusted me with her Eevee, but gave me a Christmas present because it reminded her of me. She's definitely a wonderful friend and a person I'll always be glad to have met. ~ Ivan Status: Person of Interest Thoughts: Ivan is someone I recently encountered, but he intrigues me in a way I can't put my finger on. We first met when he helped me out after I hurt myself saving Moka from being blown away by powerful winds. He patched my arm up and we got to talking, since a little bit of hail decided to intervene and ruin my day of relaxation. He's a nice guy, told me he came from Unova and wanted to be a Pokémon doctor. All of this eventually led to us defending a cafe from Team Rocket, and Ivan came to my rescue when a Garchomp had me literally paralyzed in terror, driving off two grunts before the cops showed up. I ended up giving my Chimecho to him, so hopefully we meet again; he was an interesting guy, and a lot nicer than most guys I run into.

In-depth Character Bios
Saphira
Personal Theme Test Drive
Font Colour "Charrr-me!" BF1F1F
Voice -- Speaks with a lilting tone, very sweet and mellow.
Expanded Personality
Saphira was the first Pokémon Tanya ever obtained at the start of her journey and therefore has the closest bond with the girl. As a shy young Charmander, Saphira was antsy about venturing into the world and was frightened by the smallest things, proven by her habit of sticking her head into the ground like an ostrich. But under Tanya's guidance, she began to grow a little more confident bit by bit, training hard against the Pokémon they encountered.
When Fiero first joined the team, Saphira was very inclined to not trust the sticky-pawed Meowth, which was confirmed when he got Tanya into a mess with a young punk trainer. However, when Fiero managed to hold off an Ekans in combat, the reptile's respect for him erased her distrust and the two hold a smooth and somewhat well-rounded friendship, although Saphira will still jump at any chance to scold the cat for his misdeeds.
Once Saphira evolved after a tough match against Falkner's Pidgeotto, she grew much more confident and mellowed out a little, not letting things frighten her as easily as they did when she was a Charmander. She is a vital member of Tanya's team and is unlikely to be boxed away due to type disadvantages or training sprees. One token of the deep bond Saphira shares with her trainer is the golden dragon necklace she wears around her neck. Though Tanya fears Dragon types, the Charmeleon wears it as a memento of her trainer and to remind herself to be strong and proud like a true dragon.
Many of T's other Pokémon regard her like an older sister, save for Starscream, and enjoy her company. She is known to break up squabbles between team members without resorting to violence, though the Charmeleon won't hesitate to spit a few embers to get her point across. She is also a fairly common sight at her trainer's side and enjoys being outside of her ball whenever possible.
Fiero
Personal Theme Breaking the Habit
Font Colour "Meowwth?" EECA8D
Voice -- Talks a bit like a thug; has a very rough, rasping voice
Expanded Personality & History
The origins of Tanya's favoured Meowth, Fiero, begin on the streets of Cherrygrove City. Born in a litter of two, Fiero and his brother lived a life that was poor in food but rich in experiences that moulded who he is today. The boys' Persian mama often went out for days at a time to hunt something suitable for her kittens, though most of the time she came back empty-handed and resorted to stealing food from local shops. Naturally, her thieving habits drew the ire of the shopkeepers, and many upped their security by adding guard dogs, cameras or even security guards to deter any non-paying customers.
As Fiero and his brother grew older, their mama took them out near dusk one day and showed them several tricks as to how to break into a locked up store. They ended up breaking into a meat deli, and were helping themselves to some tasty snacks when a low, furious snarl caught their attention; a huge Houndoom had been set to protect the deli and had noticed them entering. Enraged at their actions, it attacked in a frenzy by spewing Will-o'Wisp in every direction, hoping to strike any or all of the felines.
One of the deadly orbs went spinning right for Fiero, but luckily for him his mama intervened - she threw herself on top of the ball of fire and sustained a hideous burn for the sacrificial act. Her two children, terrified out of their minds, went ballistic and managed to Scratch the Houndoom's eyes out and blind the helldog before dragging their grievously wounded mama to safety. Back at their hideout, Fiero and his brother knew their mama was in great pain and began a seven week ordeal of stealing herbs and food, perfecting their skills at thievery. Unfortunately for them, not long after mama's condition slowly began to improve, the Houndoom they'd narrowly escaped from had tracked them down during a rare outing with their mama.
It chased the trio to the outskirts of Cherrygrove, where the city gave way to Route 29's wilderness, and managed to pin Fiero's brother and savagely maul the younger Meowth. Their mama, spitting mad at her children being attacked, sprang on the helldog and began biting and clawing its face, fighting valiantly. But the canine hadn't gotten over the indignation of being blinded by the two boys and went on a rampage, resulting in the deaths of Fiero's family. He fled deep into Route 29 and spent the rest of his days in hiding, rarely leaving his safe tree for nothing more than food every few days. As a year passed by, he eventually grew more comfortable with the fact that the antagonizing helldog wasn't going to find him and began wandering around, eventually bumping into Tanya when she began her journey.
An integral part of the girl's life and roster, Fiero uses his finely honed skills at thievery to steal from the good and, well, hoard to himself. He often starts more trouble than he solves, causing no end of grief for his trainer, but being street-smart and incredibly swift, Fiero often eludes causing nothing less than pandemonium. Though clever, he's not above fighting dirty to sweep in a win and uses whatever may be in the environment to his advantage.
After handling a fight with Veleno when the two first met, Tanya grew to trust Fiero more and essentially enjoys his company. He, in return, is deeply loyal to his trainer and proud of what he's become, not once believing himself to be a tamed little house cat. The two also share a bond over learning how to be better thieves from Joey, a man Fiero is quite fond personally. As for the other Pokémon on Tanya's team, they think of Fiero as the mischievous younger brother of the lot, except for Tempesta, who holds a burning hatred for his thievery and will not hesitate to thrash him soundly for doing such horrendous criminal acts in front of her.
Starscream
Personal Theme Self vs. Self
Font Colour "Skarrrr!" B7B7B7
Voice -- Speaks with a very refined, slight British accent; tends to have a menacing tone
Expanded Personality & History
Starscream's history is an unpleasant one that molded the Skarmory into what he is today. As a young chick, he fell from his nest and ended up taking a nasty fall down the mountain, ending up near an Air Force base. A few cadets found him cowering under the wings of a plane and took him in. The trio raised him to maturity and when they became certified pilots, they made him their mascot, calling their group the Steel Falcons in his honour. In his heyday, Starscream was a smart, ruthless Pokémon able to hold his own in battles - both land-based and aerial.
It wasn't long before the Steel Falcons were called into battle. The trio and their mascot took off to fight, all eager to prove their worth. Starscream followed in their wake, though not far into the battlefield, he was set upon by a flock of vicious birds. Several Honchkrow, Swellow, and Staraptor had been let loose into the fray and ordered to cause as much mayhem to the pilots as possible, but many chose to strike at the lone Pokémon accompanying them. Starscream struck several down without remorse and attempted to return to the pilots, only to be stopped by a particularly large Staraptor.
While fighting with the enormous brown hawk, the Skarmory watched, horrified, as the three pilots who'd taken him in and shown him kindness and support were shot down out of the sky. His opponent took advantage of his hesitation to slash him across the face, right down his left eye and wounding him grievously. It then proceeded to carry him back to where it had originated from, a warehouse base of a criminal organization that specialized in making Pokémon over into terrifying fighting machines.
Starscream was locked into a cage for weeks on end, tortured by lack of proper care for his eye wound and subject to relentless assaults from the other creatures who wandered the warehouse freely. It took three long months before an offer came in on him from a ring that enjoyed pitting Pokémon together into cruel cage fights. He was shipped off immediately and took the long, cold journey there without complaint. Arriving at the roaming, temporary base of operations, Starscream was immediately tossed into the ring directly off the ship against a heavily scarred Shiftry.
Despite his weakened state and frame of mind, survival instincts kicked in and allowed him to narrowly escape a deadly fate and peck the Grass type half to death. Night after night of endless fighting hardened him, and made him extremely hostile to any Pokémon he set his eyes on. Nine months after beginning his new life as a fighter, a rescue operation was launched on the ring. Countless Pokémon were rescued from their cages just an hour before the curtains rose on the grisly show, including himself. A man dressed in brown leather named Fulton was his saviour, who managed to ignore the repeated attacks from Starscream to lead the Steel bird to freedom.
Fulton knew that releasing him into the wild was a terrible idea, given what he'd been through, and decided to bring him home to Violet City to recuperate the Skarmory. The wound on his eye was treated as best as doctors could treat it, though it left a permanent scar down his eye. Miraculously, the retina itself had been spared damage; likely he had blinked while under attack, and his steely eyelid had taken the brunt of the blow. Healing his emotional wounds was a near impossible task, as Starscream would relentlessly and unflinchingly attack any Pokémon he saw, making rehabilitation difficult for Fulton.
Eventually he formed a bond of mutual trust with the Skarmory and was able to calm him down when seeing Pokémon nearby, reassuring him that they were not there to attack without warning. Man and bird worked hard together for two years, soothing over the pain of Starscream's past. Eventually Fulton was contacted by an old friend who mentioned his daughter, a new trainer, would be passing through and to consider letting her take the Skarmory along with her. Fulton was against the idea initially, claiming the bird to still be too unstable, but eventually he gave way and grudgingly allowed Tanya to take ownership.
As a member of Tanya's team, Starscream is incredibly clever with sharp, keen eyes to pinpoint weak spots on opponents. However, thanks to his past, he tends to be cold and cruel towards his victims, perhaps re-enacting the tortures of days long gone to repay the pain he suffered. To other people and their Pokémon, he is incredibly hostile and will attack unprovoked if riled enough. His extreme distrust of people is glaringly obvious, though in Tanya's presence, it doesn't show itself.
Tanya bonded with him rather quickly by demonstrating her natural flair for battling and aptitude for creating strategies. Something about her steel-hard resolution and stubbornness struck a chord with him, and because of their relationship, Starscream is overprotective of the girl and is more than happy to stick his beak into places it doesn't belong and use it in a fashion that would horrify onlookers.
As for his teammates, Starscream pretty much dislikes them all, save a select few. When Tanya isn't nearby, the bird is quick to bully and mock her Pokémon while putting on a thin facade for his trainer if surrounded by them. The other Pokémon view him as a threat and an intimidating presence and refrain from bothering him for fear of punishment. Though frightened of him, they also respect his battling prowess and tend to watch his battles closely to learn new things for themselves.
Ignitus
Personal Theme Jinouga's Theme
Font Colour -- N/A
Voice -- Doesn't speak.
Expanded Personality & History
Ignitus was hatched in the care of a young but intelligent breeder. Being an uncommon Pokémon earned the young Torchic a fair bit of attention from the breeder, who ended up spoiling Ignitus a lot. This made Ignitus feel important and special, and he wound up expecting the same treatment from the other Pokémon who were under the breeder's care. Some played along just to indulge Ignitus, but this proved disastrous.
Eventually Ignitus grew cocky, and was easy to anger if he was not given his way. Soon this morphed into bullying the other Pokémon, which was done when the breeder wasn't around. Many of the youngsters became scared and upset, and turned to a Pokémon belonging to the breeder's older brother for help. It was a Machop, a very bulky one at that. It agreed to intimidate Ignitus and force him to stop his bullying ways.
When Machop approached the Torchic, at first Ignitus simply saw the Fighting-type as nothing more than a nuisance. But when Iggy went to harass an Igglybuff for some candy, Machop stepped in and backed Iggy up into a corner, glaring. Ignitus tried furiously to attack Machop, eventually leaping onto one muscular arm and driving his beak into one of its eyes. The Machop let out a roar of fury and back-handed Ignitus into the wall, successfully terrifying the Torchic.
However, as days went by, Machop continued to take revenge for his eye (which went blind) and thoroughly cowed Ignitus. The breeder eventually noticed this and took Ignitus along on a trip into the city to escape his tormentor, whereupon he met a young trainer named Tanya. Ignitus was curious about the girl, whose Pokémon seemed happy and playful with one another, and was soon gifted to her along with a special TM.
Ignitus' time as a Torchic under Tanya's care was fun yet edged with trepidation. He tried to make himself appear bigger than his foes in battle, but sometimes memories of Machop would rise up and terrify him all over. Most of the time Iggy was able to block out the bad times and was a playful little scamp up until he finally evolved into a Combusken. Knowing how much stronger he'd become (having defeated a powerful Scyther in battle to prove himself), Ignitus became deeply loyal to his trainer and vowed to protect her at whatever the cost.
This vow eventually turned into a pact between him and Aster, Tanya's Gallade. They made a vow of silence, never to speak to anyone unless they failed in their duties of protecting their trainer. Ignitus takes this seriously, and will often be found secluded from the other Pokémon to avoid temptation to join in conversations. He trains alone as well, to perfect his own fighting style without any unnecessary commentary.
To Tanya's other Pokémon, Ignitus appears somewhat aloof but not cold. He would be considered an older brother that looks out for them, but ultimately cares the most for their trainer. He's not afraid to put the others in their place if he needs to, which many of them respect. It also appears he has a soft spot for Saphira, having known her almost as long as Fiero.

Font Colour "Looo!" E977AA
Voice -- Very breathy and sensuous voice (ala Southern belle), even when not flirting. Turns icy cold when enraged.
Expanded Personality and History
Angelus hatched from an egg delivered to Tanya by a strange Delibird, and was instantly smitten with her 'mother'. She enjoyed being doted on by the girl and seemed happy enough - until Ignitus came along. He was young and adorable, which Angelus didn't particularly feel like sharing. She began to develop into a drama queen, crying and stomping her feet when things didn't go her way. This was all to make sure Tanya would give her attention to the Buneary and not to any other Pokémon.
This continued to get worse, though Tanya didn't indulge Angelus after realizing what she was up to. But despite her outbursts, childish tantrums and attention-seeking ways, trainer and bunny became very close. When calm, Angelus was an absolute doll and delighted in time alone with her trainer; it was only when other Pokémon were around that Angelus became jealous and petty.
Eventually the bond between them allowed Angelus to evolve into a gorgeous Lopunny. However, the physical change wasn't the only thing different about her. -- tbc
