Being able to count the amount of steps they had taken with one hand, it was poor luck for both Sharada and Tenebrae as they were quickly thrown into another predicament. Clearly Pokemon that were able to summon illusions were drawn to her Zorua partner, only adding to his fear of them. Feeling the hair on the back of her neck stand on end, Sharada couldn't help but feel as if someone or something was watching them. "Tenebrae, do you feel that?" She asked in a cautious whisper, trying not to capture the attention of those around her. "Yes. I feel a presence but they are hiding themselves very well." His own words hushed, the humanoid form of Tenebrae squinted his eyes cautiously, looking from side to side as he tried to find the source. Unable to find the perpetrator, they were both forced to stop in their tracks at the sound of a terrifying wail, both human and Pokemon pulling the exact same expression in horror. "Y-You heard that too, r-right?" "...Y-Yes." Their hands linking together tightly, they both shared the similar thought of running yet neither wanted to cause a scene with the amount of people that were around them.
Gulping, Sharada parted her lips to make a suggestion but was unable to even start as objects began to float around them. "Is this the work of the Espeon?" Sharada stuttered, both letting out a controlled yelp in unison as a pair of scissors shot through the air, slicing off a few ends of Tenebrae's hair. His eyes widening as he watched the few strands float through the air, he slowly found the courage to shake his head in disagreement. "N-No. T-This is a d-different type of c-creature." As if about to elaborate further on what he thought the cause was, they both ended up suddenly shifting their gaze as their surroundings began to change. After what they had been though, it wasn't as terrifying but still not entirely comfortable to be in. The air held a different feel this time, this was not the work of the previous Espeon. "What the... What is up with this room? It feels so creepy!" Her tone raising back to it's normal pitch, she could tell that their already weird day was not yet over. In a room what could only be found in a horror movie of sorts, Sharada braved a turn, only to feel Tenebrae slip from her grasp. He had been a little silent since the room appeared and it had made her nervous. "Tenebrae, are you alright?" She questioned with a hint of concern, altering her gaze to see what he was looking at.
Silent, he had stepped forward toward a wall which held numerous framed pictures. Each showing something different, Sharada felt herself looking at what could only be described as something out of a fairy tale, or to others, Legendary Pokemon. "What... Are those?" She spoke out loud, not exactly expecting an answer but jumping as Tenebrae actually responded. "I am unsure. However, I can only imagine they are important elements to this region. They are only images but they portray great power..." His words suddenly trailing off, one particular picture had caught his eye earlier and was the main reason he had fallen silent in the first place. His eyes dulling, Sharada could tell something was on his mind and once again tried to follow his line of sight. Then, she saw it. Her own face contorting into that of confusion, she took a closer step forward to join his side, eyes staring at the image which held both Sharada and Tenebrae's evolved form. "That's... me? But who is that Pokemon? I haven't seen one of them before. But judging from the markings..." Her voice trailing off in a suggestive manner, her eyes also glanced down to Tenebrae, who in return had formed a slight frown. "That is the form of my Elder. No doubt, what I too, could progress into." Sighing softly, he looked down to his own hands, "Can I really become something like that? Is it possible for me to even become powerful?"
His sudden questions making her a little apprehensive, she wasn't sure how to comfort him in this situation. He was not keen on fighting without a true reason to and was barely understanding that Pokemon battled one another to grow in strength. But now he had seen this picture of what he could potentially be, would it be enough to sway him into wanting to battle? Not really being able to lift his worries, they both instead flinched at the sound of a familiar noise, heads turning slowly only to see the sight of a floating ball of gas, or more specifically, a Gastly. "A G-GHOST!" These being the first words to stagger out of Sharada's mouth, Tenebrae could not take this. He had not been able to pick up on a presence and this was probably why; because they were dead! His bottom lip quivering and knees feeling weak, he had not bumped into many ghosts during his life time and was quickly terrified of something he could not understand. Body now shaking, he dove behind the body of Sharada, as if seeking protection. Being forced to take a step or two forward, she was just as flustered. "H-HEY! Not so rough!" She whimpered, also not wanting to face this ghost.
To make matters worse, the Gastly then started speaking to them! Only adding to the confusion of the shuddering Tenebrae, Sharada had to take in it's words, wearing a scared look of her own. "I-Illusions huh? V-Very nice, y-yeah! W-Who wouldn't live in a p-place like this and all that. H-Haha." Rubbing her hands together to try and warm her body up from this sudden chill, she couldn't help but particularly take note of the next few words said by the Gastly. If anything, they helped her calm back down to normal. Learning that the ghostly Pokemon could tell Tenebrae had potential and that she also bore some strength as a trainer, she tried to think up a plan to weasel them out of this haunted room. Nudging her elbow, she tried to snap Tenebrae out of his shock. "Tenebrae. I want you to deal with this." His face dropping in a look of absolute despair, it was atleast enough to get his attention. "B-But I am not ready for this task. I-I can tell this spirit has masses of power and--" His words abruptly stopping, Sharada had placed a hand on his head, eyes looking directly into his as her face became much more serious. "I would not send you in without a plan." Eyes looking almost tearful, Tenebrae's ears drooped slightly and with great regret, took a few steps towards the Gastly, his face and body movement only expressing distress.
Sharada on the other hand, seemed strangely confident, a hand placed on her hip. "You said you could see into the future, huh? Then I guess you could already tell that I was gonna send out Tenebrae. Of course, his inexperience would only lead to defeat but... I care about him too much to let that happen." Smirking, she immediately tugged a strangely coloured ball from her bag. "Heh. All that hunting for treasure in my spare time wasn't useless after all." Hoping to get the Gastly off guard with a sudden attempt of capture, she threw the Quick Ball forward. She knew it wanted a battle but the risk of Tenebrae getting hurt was far too great and also, what normal trainer would honestly allow such a rare and powerful Pokemon pass them by?

Floating mischievously in the air, the gaseous Pokemon before them was none other than a Gastly and a powerful one at that in the fact it could create such powerful illusions. Not even Pokemon in the final end of its evolutionary scale possessed the ability to perform such feats. Having trapped Sharada and Tenebrae in yet another prison like fantasy world, it meant they would have to once again rely on each other to break out of this phantom room. Sadly, the fact of the matter of the Gastly having oodles of spiritual power was all too well known by Tenebrae who had started to clam up with fear at the thought of facing such a spectre. The Espeon from before had incredible power also but the reality of the situation was that they were ensuring the tests were designed to improve the bond between trainer and Pokemon. This Gastly seemed intent on using its powers to fight directly head on. The stray pair of scissors had certainly set the precedent for the encounter. Enlarging itself by expanding its gaseous body, the Gastly loomed greatly before them as it cackled and took in the delectable taste of fear Tenebrae was exhibiting. There was only one problem however. Having sent him in and even been aware of the Pokemon's fright, Sharada seemed awfully calm and collected. Stopping its body from enveloping the room any further, the Gastly's eyes turned to that of curiosity. This trainer had something up her sleeve. It wouldn't take too long for the cat to be out of the bag. Preparing the capture device, she sent a blue and yellow spherical contraption flying forward which appeared to hone in with even greater prejudice in its speed. What Sharada had used was none other than a patented quick ball and it was about to make perfect demonstration of its namesake. Hurtling towards the centre of the Gastly, the apparition let out a terrified wail of its own as it dissipated away into separate clouds of smoke. Clanging into the wall, the quick ball wasn't done yet. Incorporating impressive tracking technology, the device readjusted itself before drawing itself to the newly reincorporated Pokemon. Turning around, the Gastly let out another wail as it noticed the Quick Ball hurtling towards it once more. Shifting to the side, it missed again but the Quick Ball was learning. Stopping itself from clanging into the wall, it span around one hundred and eighty degrees before reversing back into the Gastly. On and on this game of cat and mouse carried on before the Gastly made a fatal error. Turning itself invisible, the Pokemon reappeared but moments from the Quick Ball's trajectory and was ultimately caught up as it banged into the ethereal Pokemon. Absorbing it up as its red light shone over the Pokemon, it scooped it up inside and fell to the ground with a clang as it made contact. Rocking back and forth, it was processing the newly acquired Pokemon. Once... Twice... Thrice...

Throwing the Quick Ball forward, Tenebrae dodged to one side as the ball left her fingertips, ducking fearfully as it flew over his head and curled straight for the Gastly. Peering up past his messy locks of hair, the Zorua was curious to see how capturing a Pokemon worked but maybe this Gastly was a bad example. With it's incredible powers, it certainly had Sharada sweaty at her palms. Disappearing and dodging, it had managed to evade the ball numerous times already and she had begun to wonder if it would ever catch up to the gaseous spirit. Tenebrae was watching but also doubted the device, unsure of what it was even doing. Tilting his head, he was about to question Sharada as to why humans did this but then suddenly, the ball caught up. "Ahh! The spirit!" With his words, the blue and yellow ball dragged the wild Pokemon inside before clanging to the floor. Breathing out a sigh of relief, Sharada took a step forward to stand beside the Zorua protectively, both watching as the ball rocked. Then, with a final ting, it stopped moving altogether. About to collect the ball, she paused as she noticed Tenebrae stepping forward to collect it. Lifting the device above his head and then looking at it from different angles.
"What is it like?" Sharada questioned through the silence, causing Tenebrae to turn his head toward her, "When you're in a Pokeball." Blinking his eyes, he looked up in a pondering manner but eventually turned and walked back to Sharada, handed her the newly capture Gastly. "I'm not sure if I can explain but... It feels as if I just sleep. I do not really remember the time I spend there. But..." His hands moving up to his arms, he held them tightly and dropped his ears. "I don't particularly like it." Blinking in slightly surprise, Sharada glanced down to her belt, wondering if her other Pokemon felt the same too. Many she had captured were in the Pokeballs, stored away somewhere. Were they even happy? Not being able to promise Tenebrae he wouldn't have to be withdrawn at some point, she could also understand his feelings. "Sometimes it is easier and safer for my Pokemon to be withdrawn. If times are dangerous, I'll keep you in your Pokeball too. It might be dark but just think of it as a safe place. Don't be scared of them, okay?" Petting his head affectionately, she was grateful for him sharing his feelings on the matter.
With the Quick Ball safely back in her hands, the duo found themselves looking around, as their surroundings quickly changed back to that of the tunnel. Closing her eyes momentarily, she sighed softly before looking down to Tenebrae. "I want to promise that we'll have normal encounters but there isn't really much point, is there?" His face warming up into a gentle smile, he slowly shook his head from side to side, voice fading now that they were surrounded by people once again. Pocketing the ball, she took a glance down the tunnel and with a nod to Tenebrae, began their exploration for a normal challenge once more.
OOC: Ignoring Fury Swipes for Tenebrae but replacing Headbutt with Flare Blitz for Darumaka. I am also using x1 Birthday Cake and giving levels to the following; 33 > 34 Darumaka 30 > 31 Gardevoir 31 > 32 Nidoqueen
I'll self update!

If it was a normal challenge Sharada and company were looking for, they might just want to exit out of the underground passageway altogether. Moving forwards through the hustle and bustle of the crowd looking to shop at the tunnel's many shopping areas, it was difficult to find anyone that was outright looking for a challenge. A push, a shove, a nudge, it became quite a nuisance even progressing forward with any sort of sense of movement as it appeared a special haircut and fashion showcase was being displayed opposite the salons bros' shop. Sporting garish, over the top fashions, the two owners seemed dubious to say the least. Their Pokemon, a Koffing, an Ekans and Meowth were all done up in what can only be described as fashion crimes waiting to be arrested. Despite this, their charisma and showmanship had amassed huge crowds and people were fighting hand over foot to get their Pokemon done up in these bizarre costumes. Perhaps something was being thrown in to sweeten the deal. That or people were sadists and enjoyed seeing their Pokemon look like a bunch of clown rejects. In the distraction of the new shop opening, it seemed Sharada had remained on the spot and because of this had got in the way of a fellow trainer who was angrily trying to get to his hang out but due to the crowd, was finding this an incredible challenge of its own. Having slipped past one disgustingly overweight couple, the scrawny bespectacled teenager went tripping forwards and banged roughly into Sharada. His greasy hair and gangly demeanour all went flying backwards as it seemed he was worse off in the collision. Falling onto his rear end, he let out an inaudible groan as his heavy glasses clattered to the floor. "Hey, hey, HEY! What where you're going you imbecilic..." Squinting up at Sharada and Tenebrae, he was unable to see their visage properly so he blustered out loudly in attempt to finish his sentence. "PEONS!" His hands darting about the floor in a furtive search for his specs, he finally found them and adorned them to his face. His eyes now magnified comically, he adjusted them again as he looked at Sharada. Suddenly falling sullen, the lanky youth didn't quite know what to make of the trainer. He belonged to a gang in the underground which comprised of jaded outcasts, a fighting group of super nerds and the one thing they had always declared was but a simple rule. NO GIRLS ALLOWED. Sniffling his nose with a snort, he awkwardly got back up and seemed to be mulling over something as he fidgeted with his fingers. Barely speaking up as he mumbled, he leaned forward, his thick, greasy black hair covering his face which meant it was even harder to understand what he was saying. His mumble finishing, he appeared to stand still before his body began to twitch angrily as if he had been awaiting a response. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a huge outburst rung throughout the tunnel, quietening even the nearby store opening, the majority of people turning around and blinking as they were interrupted. "WILLYOUGOOUTWITHMEUHHHHHHHHHHH?!?!?!?!?" Grabbing onto his Pokeball he had grabbed from his pocket, he stared at Sharada with baited breath. "IWILLSHOWYOUMYPOKEMANSANDIFIBEATYOUYOUOWEMEADATE!!" His words followed as quick as a bullet train and made them rather hard to make out. Tossing the Pokeball forward, the tunnel was filled with a nauseous, wretched stench of putrid sludge. Unphased by the smell, the nerd looked to Sharada as if this would somehow impress her. This was the complete opposite for the rest of the crowd. Holding their noses, they began to disperse, much to the annoyance of the duo who were holding the grand store opening. Trainer Encounter

Continuing on with their exploration of the Goldenrod Underground, Sharada found herself stopping for a moment to reach down for Tenebrae's hand once again. In the short space of time they had been fighting the Gastly, the area had already become so much busier. "Why are there so many people down here? It was quieter than this earlier." She grumbled unhappily, bringing her human formed Zorua closer to her side as they progressed down the pathway. Remaining silent, the young Zorua had pressed himself closer to the arm of Sharada, fearful of the amount of people that swarmed around them. He had wanted to learn more about humans but with the number that surrounded him, he was more than a little overwhelmed. Leading the way and pushing through the crowd, Sharada eventually came to a sort of clearing, which also gave her a view of just what people were going crazy about. Bravely standing opposite the Salon Bro's was a strange, new shop, sporting hairstyles and garish fashions for Pokemon. Whilst the Pokemon were almost nightmare fuel in Sharada's eyes, the two people who were seemingly in charge of the establishment looked even worse. "What is up with those guys? Who would really make their Pokemon dress in such stupid outfits." Her words soon fading as she took another look across the busy crowd, her facial expression dropped alone with the pitch of her voice. "All of these people, obviously."
Feeling a sharp tug at her arm, Sharada turned her attention downward, only to see a confused look plastered across Tenebrae's face. He looked just as unsure as her but she tried to give him a brief idea. "There are some people who massage or style a Pokemon's hair or fur. It's supposed to be really relaxing, so trainers treat their Pokemon. Yet... These guys have just taken it to the next level." Narrowing her eyes once again as she took in the sight of the Koffing wearing lip stick, she shook her head subtly in disagreement before reassuring Tenebrae. "Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of leaving any of my Pokemon with clowns like them. The Salon Bros are basic but they do a good job. This pair don't stand a chance." Unaware of their true identity, Sharada shrugged her shoulders and decided that if all people were crowded here that the other end of the tunnel would surely be much quieter and even hold one or two Pokemon to face. But before she could even start to move, she was rather rudely bumped into. With the amount of people lingering all around her, she hadn't noticed a particular man squeeze his way out and decide where Sharada stood was the direction he wanted to walk in.
As they crashed into one another, Sharada staggered back and would've more than likely ended up in a similar position to the lanky teenager, had Tenebrae not swiftly supported her back. Releasing his grip from her waist, Sharada steadied herself back onto her feet and was about to thank the Zorua, until the youth spoke. Not entirely appreciating being called an imbecile, the brunette took a step forward and with a heavy frown, rested a hand on her hip. "Oi! How about you watch where you are going!" About to question and take a jibe at his eyesight, she was quick to stop herself as he began feeling around on the floor for his glasses. Twitching an eyebrow, she felt almost guilty and was about to step forward to give him a hand until he found them and slipped them across his face. Towering over him as he remained on the floor, Sharada was wondering why the nerdy looking male had suddenly fallen silent, Tenebrae hiding behind her but poking his head out to the side cautiously to watch the human's reaction. Waiting for an apology or something, she would've been prepared to give one back in return but instead, he merely stood up and lowered his head, mumbling something to himself. Frowning her brow and looking down to exchange awkward glances with Tenebrae, his ears twitched slightly as if trying to pick up on his words himself but Sharada, for certain, had no idea what he was saying.
Sighing, she decided to be good and portray her apologies first. "Look, I am sorry for getting in the way, alright? We'll be going now." Nodding her head slightly, after her previous experience with another male similar to his own appearance, she didn't want to taint Tenebrae's mind with the whole "no girls allowed" nonsense Teru had been spouting earlier. About to step away, Tenebrae tugged at her hand and shook his head, nodding to the direction of the male as he inhaled deeply before shouting out a string of words. Flinching back, at first Sharada thought he was telling her off, not exactly being able to understand what he had said. With all the weirdness that had recently happened, she really couldn't be doing with a strange human too. "I said I was sorry--" Despite her voice saddening, she was quickly cut off by a sudden flash, a Pokemon known as Grimer appearing in the middle of them. Taking a step or two back as the stench hit them front on, Sharada wasn't able to flee like the rest of the crowd as she understood this to be a trainer battle. Even though she was Team Rocket, she still complied with the rules of the world. "What? You want to battle me? W-Well okay, I suppose." The smell of the Grimer not really helping her think straight, Sharada picked out a Pokeball and tossed it forward, the Pokemon she had summoned possibly being enough to make matters worse.
Emerging from the flash was a humanoid shape, as if wearing a long flowing dress and having a neat hair cut. Known as a Gardevoir, Delphine strived off looking elegant but as a stench filled her senses, she couldn't help but double back, holding her hands delicately across her face. "What is with you, human?! You sent me to face a foul smelling beast in the Gauntlet and now THIS?! When will it end?!" Speaking out loud in her own tongue in front of the nerd, Sharada had been able to understand what she had said due to telepathy, her own shoulders slumping as she had recently relied on her Gardevoir to take care of a foul smelling Garbodor. "I'm sorry it's just, for foes like this, I need to rely on your strength!" Sighing in their minds, Delphine glanced over her shoulder to her clumsy trainer, "Why are you even facing such a foul male?" She questioned in a seething tone, eyes opening wider as a new voice flooded her ears. "He mentioned the word... Date." Tenebrae explained. He had been able to hear the words of Eric but didn't exactly understand what he meant so couldn't relay the message back to Sharada, "What is a date?" he questioned innocently. Sighing, Sharada rubbed a hand across her forehead, "Urgh, that is it huh? He is the complete opposite of the other guy... C'mon Delphine, you've got to help me out."
More intrigued by the presence of Tenebrae, the Gardevoir floated in the air, eyes lingering over his human form. She had been a part of rescuing the Zorua duo and Ditto from Team Rocket but even back then, she had found them both odd. With her powers, she was easily able to read the minds of Pokemon but despite Tenebrae coming across as so weak and frail, his mind was securely bolted shut, not allowing her to get a good look into his mind. Because of this, she was interested in the trickster fox somewhat. Wanting to show off her strength, she decided to put up with the stench for now. "Hmph. This sludge will take mere seconds to deal with. However, I am only doing this to excel in strength. I care not for saving you from unwanted dates." Giving Tenebrae one last look, the Gardevoir turned to face the Grimer and awaited Sharada's instruction. Clearing her throat slightly now that she had a better understanding of what was at stake, Sharada couldn't lose to this guy, otherwise she would have to spend time with him and spending time with just about anyone was the last thing she currently wanted. "A-Ahem! Alright! But I doubt you can beat my Gardevoir." Turning her head upward in a snooty manner, Sharada wore a proud smile before pointing a finger forward, "Now Delphine! Use Psychic on the Grimer!"
OOC: Sent in Gardevoir and used Psychic.

Staring intensely at Sharada through his greasy black blocks, the teenager breathed in alternating heavy raspy breath and an irritating nasally whistle through his nose. This look was very much akin to what a creepy stalker would utilise on the object of their affections. It appeared that he had become quite smitten with Sharada's looks. Saying nothing, he merely stood there, his mouth ajar slightly as his Grimer fidgeted back and forth, obviously quite taken by Sharada also. Like trainer, like Pokemon as they said. Perhaps if Eric had been aware that his friend of all friends Tehru had been knocked out by this trainer from earlier he may have been adopting a different approach but for now, his affection's were crushed on Sharada's person. The tunnel was a rough place and it wasn't everyday you saw a girl of Sharada's calibre come waltzing through here. Selecting her choice, the nerd teen adjusted his cumbersome glasses as he tried to avoid his eyes being blinded by the dazzling light. As it died down, his mouth dropped even more ajar as he took in the sight of her beautiful Delphine. Truly, for a girl as beautiful as Sharada to have a Pokemon of this sort of aesthetic, she was the girl of his dreams. Letting out an audible sigh, he said very little which was odd given how nasally and annoying his buddy Tehru was. His silence was welcome given the fact that Sharada, Delphine and Tenebrae appeared to be having a psychic conference between themselves which would have been all the more noisier should he have began mouthing off about his undying love for Sharada. About to open his mouth to finally say something, it appeared Sharada had finally come to the conclusion of what move she would be using for Delphine. Assuming a snooty demeanour, she ordered the move with definite confidence, something that made Eric's heart aflutter. His pining would be the undoing of him however. Leaving his Grimer without any guidance whatsoever, the oozing pile of goo looked around nervously as it felt the dagger like eyes of Delphine dig into his. In fact, her very presence was foreboding that the sludge pile felt her sinister presence all around him. Retiring backwards slightly, the Grimer quivered as it knew it wasn't going to be able to simply gross out the enemy like it had done so with many other opponents of the underground tunnel. Lapsed in fear, the Grimer suddenly felt an unusual sensation encompass it. Seconds later, it was lifted up into the air and was restrained with Delphine's peerless telekinetic strength. Confining it in a psychic prison, she began increase pressure on the Pokemon whilst keeping it encapsulated in its invisible barrier. A mere few moments later and the Grimer suddenly exploded against the barriers, completely knocked out. It was a good thing she had done so with a protective seal around it. Trainer Battle

Leaving a trail of rancid slime from side to side as it paced around the battlefield, it seemed this one was far more confident and cocky in its ability. When Sharada gave her order, she was surprised with what she heard after ward. Silence. But it was not just any silence, his eyes were locked onto her, breathing heavily as he was clearly taking in her appearance. If what Tenebrae said was true and he was after a date, then it just made the whole situation that bit creepier. Her pointed finger faltering when there was no order spoken by him or banter at all, she couldn't help but feel a little flustered, the tops of her cheeks become somewhat rosy as her entire posture drooped weakly. In her years at school, she was bullied quite often and having an entire class of children constantly stare at her had given her a phobia of sorts. This was becoming apparent, as her once confident call was deteriorating nervously before his rimmed glasses. Hoping to not give him the wrong idea in that she was shy or anything of the sort, all she could do was put her trust in Delphine who had decided to step forward. A telepathic link still between them, Tenebrae could feel Sharada shuddering somewhat and looked up to her curiously. "Are you unwell? You look pale." His voice rang through her mind, the brunette glancing down to him. "I-I'm alright. This guy is just too creepy. The way he is looking over here just freaks me out. He seemed to get even more excited when he saw Delphine, too."
Hearing her name mentioned in their conversation, the Gardevoir had earlier felt a horrifying shiver jolt up her spine. With Sharada's words, it was clearly the doing of this man. "He appears to be quite smitten with you. I'm sure the two of you would get along just fine. Someone like you would only hold a wild, ruffian back... Why you would chose someone like him as a potential spouse is beyond me." Referring to a particular biker, Sharada atleast managed to change her facial expression to something less awkward looking. "Just focus on the battle. I don't wanna know what is going through his mind. The quicker we get this over with, the quicker we'll both be safe. That Grimer is looking at you all hungrily too." Her eyes narrowing evilly, Delphine was furious with the fact that Sharada had managed to pick up on the fact that she too, was receiving loving looks. "These males are such fools. Why do they not realise that this battle is pointless? With my powers, they will not succeed." Using her powers, Delphine made quick work of the Grimer whilst also showing off it's defeat in an usual way. Hoping this would be enough to strike some intrigue from the unusual Tenebrae, the tricky fox was indeed amazed by her strength but remained silent. Still not being able to read his mind, she tutted to herself before focusing back on the battle.
"Excellent work, Delphine!" Sharada called out normally, trying to shake up this uncomfortable silence. Rolling her shoulders back and tilting her head to the side, she smiled with slightly narrowed eyes over to Eric, "That is the strength of my Gardevoir. Bet you wish you never challenged me now." Hoping to get the idea out of his head by making him fearful of her strength, she was the one who ended up feeling defeated when it gave Eric the opposite effect. "Don't talk like that. Your false confidence is making him excited." Immediately shutting her mouth, Sharada should've realised sooner. Shaking her head subtly to herself in disbelief, the group were now faced with a second Grimer, causing both Sharada and Delphine to exchange glances. "Psychic again." "I wouldn't have done otherwise." Turning with glowing eyes, Delphine was ready to unleash her powers once again. Sharada remaining silent this time, as she hoped the Grimer wouldn't prove to be a threat.

Crestfallen somewhat that he had no real opportunity to show off his side of the round with his Pokemon, Eric felt buoyed by the confidence of his second Pokemon. They may both have been Grimer but it was night and day in the difference between the Pokemon's personalities. However, despite his new found wave of hope, Eric fell into the dumps again when he saw Sharada was acting remarkably quiet. Almost quieter than what he was exhibiting. Typically, Eric was something of a loud mouth grouch but when it came to gorgeous members of the opposite sex, he found himself unable to speak and lose any semblance of cool he originally had. He was doing well as it was to even be in the same vicinity let alone object of Sharada's attention. Pulling his glasses backwards and forwards as if to adjust his focus, he looked to Delphine and cowered slightly as he noticed the haughty, despising look she expressed. Realising that his band of friends who had always sung the praises of Gardevoir being akin to that of a female presence that didn't detest you as they were but a Pokemon and they a trainer, he felt himself uneasy at the Pokemon showing utter vile contempt towards his being. Or maybe it was at the stench of his Grimer. Looking back at her gaze, he realised she was focusing it on him. Gulping loudly, he realised he was in deep trouble. Thankfully, Sharada finally spoke up and taking on such a confident, dominant position was enough to make Eric's heart aflutter. Instantly forgetting that Delphine had been issuing him death glare's he looked over to Sharada with his distinct baited breath and nasally exhale. Delphine may have been something of a distant character towards Sharada but her advice was right on the money. Before anything else could further escalate, Sharada ordered her command and with a repeat of the move before began using her powerful abilities to contain the Grimer and apply an inexplicable force of pressure on the Grimer, causing it to painfully cry out as all manner of confidence flew out the window. Stuttering as he opened his mouth, Eric failed to sound any words and could only look in horror as it appeared his time in the spotlight to try and woo Sharada with his battling skills had come to an abrupt and embarrassing end. Exerting just enough power, the Grimer exploded much like its brother and with that, the battle had been bought to a slimy end. Trainer Battle

Your Gardevoir fought courageously, gained 1400 experience and has levelled up! Delphine is now Level 32!Your Swablu observed brilliantly and gained 1,400 experience thanks to Exp. Share! His expression full of despair and loss, Eric reluctantly called both of his Pokemon. Although, at this point, both of them were piles of sludge just festering on the tunnel walk way. With them now returned, he looked up to Sharada and opened his mouth. Pausing as he did, he closed his yap not long there after and became very sullen, his face faltering downwards as depression took over him. Raising his index finger as if to ask her to pause for a moment, he took out his wallet, grabbed some pokedollar he had hoped to use for their potential date he had in mind and also seemingly scribbled a note which he had pulled out from his shirt pocket. As any self respecting super nerd would do, always carry around your notepad and pens. Folding the note up around the money, he placed it on the floor. If he had no chance, he could at least treat her to something nice. Turning abruptly on the spot, he wanted to say something but his body would not let him. Instead, he dashed off in the opposite direction to exit out of the tunnel.

The silence only adding to her nerves, Sharada raised both of her hands to her midriff, subconsciously fidgeting with her nails as the battle continued on. What was with his guy? He had such a loud mouth when the two bumped into each other but upon seeing her face he became totally silent. "C'mon, Delphine. We need to move on. This guy is just too much..." Trailing off and beginning to look a little down in the dumps, Delphine flicked her eyes and tilted her head to the side, "Ooh but the two of you seem to be getting along oh so well." Lashes faltering, Sharada probably looked strange, her facial expressions changing every now and then as if in a conversation. Which she was but one that the nerd couldn't hear. "Ooh please. I would much rather go back to the Rocket base and you know it. I wish he would hurry up with his turns. All this silence is just..." "...Uncomfortable." Looking down to Tenebrae, Sharada could only sigh to herself. This was hardly the type of battle she wanted Tenebrae to witness. Atleast he was able to see the strength of one of her more experienced Pokemon in action. "Delphine will finish this soon. But if he has another blasted Grimer..." All of them making a noise of disapproval in their own way, it was clear that the trio was not enjoying the presence of this silent nerd.
As the second pile of sludge moved forward to attack, Delphine gave it no chance in order to spare her senses from being overpowered by it's smell. Using her powers to trap the Grimer and with a click of her fingers, finish it in a similar manner to the previous one, the battle was thankfully over. "Here we go, the hate speech." Sharada prepared both herself and her Pokemon, expecting the nerd to go on a rampage about how she cheated or something along those lines. It wasn't anything unusual as it was the type of spiel most losers of Pokemon battles would do. But incredibly, he surprised her. Taking his loss silently, Delphine folded her arms together delicately. "He is depressed that he was unable to show us his strength." Relaying his thoughts back to Sharada, the brunette couldn't help but feel slightly guilty. Maybe she had been a bit harsh on him but on second thought, his silence had been a bit too creepy to forgive. Closing her eyes, she diverted her head downward with a sigh before parting her lips to speak. "Listen, I'm sorry for bumping into you... H-Huh?" Trying to rush out an apology so there were no hard feelings, Sharada was startled to see him lift a finger and then further go through his wallet.
"He seems to be giving you some reward money." Delphine stated in her mind. "Ah, please wait. That isn't necessary..." Trying to come across as polite, he still didn't answer her and instead placed it on the floor before dashing off out of the tunnel. Stepping forward, Sharada decided to accept the money, not wanting his gift to completely go to waste. "Hmm. I picked up on his wanting to give you something nice. Sweet." Face suddenly faltering as she noticed a number written on the paper that was wrapped around the money, she slowly shook her head before pocketing it quietly. "Atleast that is over. He shouldn't bother us again and maybe it'll keep his creepy friends away too." Feeling Tenebrae approach her and cling onto her arm once again, the brunette was about to withdraw Delphine back into her ball when the Gardevoir turned. Her crimson eyes skimming over Sharada before settling on Tenebrae, her piercing stare caused him to hide a little more behind the brunette. "What are you both doing in this useless area, anyway? Do we not have any important missions to complete?" Delphine questioned, her arms still folded. Whilst she didn't enjoy being a Pokemon under the ownership of a Rocket, the team did have it's perks in that she could be as destructive as she liked whilst on Sharada's missions.
"I am still waiting for one to be issued. For now, I am spending time with Tenebrae." Floating a little closer, the Delphine peered around the side of Sharada to get a better look at him, his large, icy blue eyes being a clear contrast to Delphine's blood red ones. "Ahh yes. One of the runts we rescued. I see not all of your efforts are just given to that rogue." Sharada raised an eyebrow, her thoughts hissed in her mind back to Delphine, not wanting the Gardevoir to make the Zorua uncomfortable. "And what exactly do you mean by that?" "Well, whenever you rescue anything of value, it goes straight back to the ruffian. If there is one thing I despise most about you, is your lack of responsibility. You are so quick to 'save' others by sending them to him for protection when you are just as capable of looking after them yourself." Pausing her thoughts, Sharada flinched at her Gardevoir's words, amazed that she was even speaking to her this much, let alone speaking sense. "While the runt is still young, weak... I don't believe he will be completely useless." Delphine meeting the eyes of Tenebrae, who had peered out in slight interest, his ears were lowered as he wasn't sure if Delphine was a Pokemon he could trust. "Are you implying I can be of use?" Floating around, it seemed the Gardevoir wanted to remain out of her Pokeball for this trip. "That is up to your own will power. Unless you plan on remaining a burden to us all."
Spinning on the spot, the Gardevoir ventured ahead of both Sharada and Tenebrae, in hope of finding a few worthy foes. "Follow my lead. I will show you what you could potentially be capable of if you decide to unlock your own strength." Intrigued by Delphine's sudden interest in Tenebrae, Sharada pondered to herself, had she seen something in the Zorua or was she just needlessly teasing him? Slouching her shoulders with a sigh, the brunette followed behind her Gardevoir, looking out for wild Pokemon and wondering if this could potentially help the Zorua.

The chance to prove themselves would come about sooner than they would think. The tunnel itself was host to a number of rather unusual inhabitants. From industrial Pokemon such as Magnemite to Voltorb it was also quite a filthy place which attracted all manner of Pokemon associated with such an element. Koffing, Grimer, Gulpin, Rattata, Raticate. They were all vermin and garbage related creatures that thrived on the uncleanliness of the area. Time after time the Goldenrod council had tried to create initiatives to keep the place clean but given the tunnel was situated in the rougher part of Goldenrod, near to its slums, it was an exercise in failure in hope anything would be done about the situation. Instead, the waste and muck would just pile up as it usually would inviting more and more of the aforementioned creatures to fester in their beloved abode. That wasn't the only type of Pokemon a person could find however. Sharada had bumped into the Gastly which meant one of two things. They either liked the foul living conditions or were remnants of the tunnel's past which had decided to haunt it. Given how decrepit and seedy the place was, it wasn't too hard to believe that some of the more sinister crimes committed down in the location had led to this rare but possible encounter. Of course, there was one other creature that was not like any of the above. They were a native to the region Sharada herself came from but it seems when a number were being shipped over to the region to various zoos, a number had escaped and been left to run wild and to their own devices. One such creature would be the demonstration for the next battle. This particular creature was an Electrike and it was a particularly wild one. Boasting a natural affinity for the electric element, it let rogue sparks fly off as it sauntered along the tunnel as it owned the place. In all honesty, the creature near enough did. It came out during nocturnal hours and by then, most people didn't bother exploring the zone at that point and the few that did knew to steer far clear. As it boldly strode along onwards, sniffing over filled dustbins for the small chance food might be a available, it stopped dead in its tracks as it noticed Sharada and her Pokemon before it. Reeling around its neck as it readied itself up for battle, this Pokemon was none too pleased that anyone dare had the courage to place itself in its presence. Letting out a fearsome howl, the Pokemon sparked up its body at the end and continued with a low growl. Encounter

Still unsure as to why Delphine was showing so much interest in Tenebrae, Sharada wondered if there was some sort of motive behind her actions but for now, all she could really do was wait and see. Despite her harsh words at times, Sharada had Delphine since she was just a little Ralts and watching her grow into a Gardevoir was always a proud achievement. But her own lack of control on her other Pokemon led Delphine to grow distant as she was attacked by her Nidoqueen, Bellatrix in Ilex Forest. Because of this, Delphine lost all respect or trust for Sharada and until the brunette were to prove otherwise, she would act on her own accord. Hoping this might be a way to mend these bonds, she still couldn't help but feel somewhat apprehensive. She also wanted to build a friendship with Tenebrae but knowing how Delphine was, needed to keep on her toes incase the Gardevoir planned to make her out to be a bad person. Narrowing her eyes as she watched the back of the swaying Delphine, it felt ridiculous to doubt her own Pokemon on this level.
Tenebrae was neutral to the inclusion of Delphine and remained somewhat silent. After hearing her words from earlier, he already knew that she was possibly not the most friendly but she had also lured him into interest. She was right, he didn't want to be a burden. Because of him, both he and his sister were captured by poachers and all he could pray for was that the rest of his clan were still safe in Unova. He didn't want a repeat of what happened there to drag Sharada and her Pokemon into danger. If he could learn to stand on his own two feet and gain some strength, he could atleast hold his own ground if a dangerous time were to ever occur. The floating Gardevoir, however, was far too busy keeping an eye out for a wild Pokemon to face. She valued the idea of self protection and standing behind her were two with little power or motivation to gain as such. Sharada had been heading in the right direction since joining Team Rocket, she had no other choice. But this Zorua, Delphine couldn't read his mind what so ever but judging from the infantile look in his eyes to the way his body cowered, she knew he had a long way to go.
All of a sudden, her body stopped, further bringing a halt to Sharada and Tenebrae behind them. Sniffing his nose, Tenebrae had earlier picked up on the scent of a canine. "Have you found something?" Sharada queried, stepping to the side only to see just what was strolling towards the trio. As her eyes fell upon their target both Delphine and Tenebrae flinched their eyes as an intense shot of fear flooded their senses, coming directly from Sharada. Mouth open but no words escaping, Tenebrae clung tightly onto her arm. He had learnt of her fear of electricity from their previous trails so it was no surprise that this Pokemon was something which would make her nervous. What was worse was the fact that it looked untameable, bearing fearsome eyes as rogue sparks flew from it's body. Followed by such a howl which made her hair stand on end, she stuttered but had to overcome this fear. "It's... An Electrike." Stating the obvious for now, Tenebrae turned to Delphine who was far too busy looking over the feral canine. "You must feel her fear. Let us move on." He suggested firmly, looking up as Delphine raised her arm as if to stop him from speaking. "Foolish child. She has not ran away, has she? Therefore, we need to quill this fear of hers once and for all. I will not have a master terrified of something so pitiful."
Hands clenched into fists, they shook by her sides but she didn't move at all. The sheer concentration of trying to fight off this fear of thunder and lightning was plastered all over her face but she knew Delphine was right. She couldn't keep running from Electric Types forever. "Then, I choose you for this battle, Delphine." Smirking to herself, the Gardevoir knew Sharada had no choice in the matter as she planned on making her feel much worse. "Very well." Turning to look over her shoulder, her crimson eyes showed little remorse as she planned to tease Sharada's fear but also keep the Electrike alive. "Child. Watch as an elemental attack can destroy a Pokemon of the very same element. This is just a part of what growing strong can do for you." Turning back toward the Electrike, she huffed under her breath and began to summon a Thunderbolt of her own. Knowing this was going to end disastrously, Sharada was preoccupied standing her ground against the upcoming attacks that she missed the concern looks from Tenebrae at her side.

Likely unaware that Sharada had a deep seated phobia of all things related to the element of electricity, the Electrike paced from side to side as it eyed up its would be defiers. A mere runt of a child, a trembling woman and some fairy looking creature would dare stand up to its prideful being. Delphine however, was not going to be indulging the Pokemon in any of its misguided fantasies. There was a lot riding on the Gardevoir's shoulders. She not only would have to demonstrate to the meek Zorua, Tenebrae what it was to be strong but she would also have to snap Sharada out of her fears. Sadly, her choice in moves left a lot to be desired. Deciding to fight fire with fire... Or electricity with electricity, the psychic being stood forward, her skirt like attire floating in a dream like manner as she took a quick yet accurate aim at the Pokemon she was facing. Raising an arm forward, she had to only think and suddenly a huge amount of power welled up in her arm. Turning this into a streak of thunderbolts, she mercilessly aimed them at the would be king of the tunnel. Wasting no hesitation on the poor creature, the Electrike couldn't believe what was happening. It was rare for someone to stand up to it, rare for it to even be on the receiving end of a beating but what was the most absurd factor was that it was being stricken with its very own favoured element. Trying to remain firm to the ground, it quaked terribly as its muscled involuntarily began to spasm. Smoke now rising from the Pokemon's body, Delphine finished her attack, quite certain that would be more than enough for a big fish in such a small pond. Amazingly, with one eye closed shut, the Electrike still remained standing. Feeling particularly aggressive it had just been harmed in such a way, the Electrike looked up to the heavens as it let out a fearsome howl which no doubt pumped its adrenaline, entering it into an enraged state. Eyeing up Delphine, it was going to take down this dastardly witch if it were the last thing it did. Wild Battle

As Delphine raised her arm upward, Sharada took in a deep breath, knowing exactly what move her Pokemon had chosen to use. The brunette knew that the Gardevoir was right. She had grown up on the rough seas, so why she had a fear of something she should be used to was bizarre. But there was just something about the sound, flashing and idea of being struck that shook every fibre in her body. Eyes slowly closing, she was trying to keep herself together. Sharada had managed to physically dodge bolts somehow, even if it was a trick room of sorts, back with the Espeon and Tenebrae. Her fear still hadn't budged but she was certainly getting better, in her own mind atleast. Focusing all her energy into her arm, Delphine narrowed her pupils before firing off multiple bursts of thunder without warning. Jumping as the bolts flew, Tenebrae grabbed hold of the female and tugged her down to his level. Her body turning to jelly at the sight, she found it hard to resist and followed Tenebrae's movements. His hands guiding her head to his shoulder to shield her eyes, he raised his tribal tattooed hands to cover her ears also. Whilst it did little in the fact that she could still hear the booming sound of the attack colliding with the Electrike, the heart that was placed in Tenebrae's actions put her at ease.
Keeping her in place until he knew it was over, Tenebrae slowly eased his grip, eyes staring into her own as Sharada slightly raised her head. "Are you alright? That was not very considerate of her." Shaking her head from side to side, Sharada tried to quell his worries, "Delphine is right. I need to face this." "Ahem." Straightening up her back, both Sharada and Tenebrae turned towards the sound of Delphine clearing her throat. Opposite the Gardevoir, the Electrike could be seen making the odd spasm, as the currents from the previous attack overpowered his body, followed by a cloud of smoke. Delphine's eyes particularly heavy on Tenebrae, the Zorua looked over to her as if finally deciding to reply. "I do not doubt your strength. However, you failed to faint it." Smirking, that was the exact response that Delphine had hoped for. "But of course. Because Sharada will be capturing this creature." The brunette flinching back, before she could state her thoughts to this, the electric hound let out a powerful howl, one which even gathered back Delphine's attention. "Hmph. It seems to have a little more fight left in it. Even better."
Quickly turning back to Sharada, it was uncertain who was even the trainer at this point. "Hurry now. Capture the Electrike. I did not hold back to allow the creature victory. You will make use of it, I assure you." Running a hand through her fringe messily, Sharada was uncertain, "But it's so wild! I can't tame something like that! And it's a--" Swooping forward, her Gardevoir raised a hand and with a swish, slapped a hand right across Sharada's cheek. The female trainer staggered to the side, Tenebrae snarling at the Gardevoir, "Enough! Your actions are unnecessary!" Her plan once again coming together, this was exactly what she wanted. Tenebrae to start opening up, building his own feelings and reacting naturally. As of yet, it was clear his safety blanket was that of Sharada. Leering over his frame threateningly, Delphine hissed, "How else is she going to learn. What if she is in a situation where she is unable to call on Pokemon for help. Will you always be there to help her? With your puny form? As you are now, you could barely open a door without breaking a nail!" Continuing with her retaliation, Delphine was certainly on a mission, "I don't know what kind of backwards place you came from. But you are here now and with the path we are taking, we always need to be on guard. Weakness is not an option, lest you want to lose your life or risk those around you."
Tenebrae took in her words and with little room to say his peace, she only continued to plough on. "You may not like me. I may not like you. But I can certainly defend myself when the need arises. What of you?" An angered spark present in his eyes, Tenebrae glared at Delphine, feeling almost as if he was being faced with Calistra. Only this time, he knew what he had to do, "With my strength, it will expand past your own selfish desires. For I will not only defend myself but also my companions. Even you, should the need arise." Scoffing, Delphine narrowed her eyes, "Large statements. Very well, I will hold you to that. For if you get in my way, I will be more than obliged to dispose of you personally." Cutting in with a hand, Sharada placed her own on Delphine's shoulder, almost standing in the middle of the two. "Both of you, please. That's enough. We all have our own weaknesses and I know most of all, that I need to get more confidence so I am deserving of my Pokemon." Sighing, she glanced over to the Electrike, who was more than likely fuming at this point for being ignored for so long.
"I have decided that I will capture it. If I can do this, I'll be able to better myself. As a member of Team Rocket, true or not, I cant have weaknesses for foes to find and exploit. It could lead to not only me getting hurt but everyone around me." Nodding slowly, Delphine floated backward, out of Sharada's delicate grip. It reminded her too much of when she was but a small Ralts, her comforting touch being something the Gardevoir didn't want to remember or start relying on. "I am glad you understand my view on this. I need to guide your incompetence." Finding that somewhat funny, Sharada grinned, "Yeah, thanks for putting up with me." Tenebrae, having fallen silent from the recent words said to him, looked over to Sharada. Watching her as, although she didn't want to, she pulled out a spare Pokeball and tossed it forward.
"Do not disappoint me." Delphine spoke out to Tenebrae alone through telepathy, "You are wandering. Acting alone and uncertain whilst you see the correct path before you. Why do you not grab at the chance to start anew. Forget your past. She may be a fool but..." Immediately stopping upon realising she was about to praise Sharada, the Gardevoir looked away. Smiling to himself, Tenebrae closed his eyes, "I thought my wounds would need more time to heal after being torn from my home. As bitter as you are, you are correct. Here, I can build a new home. A new clan." Both Pokemon no longer speaking, it appeared an odd bond of sorts had begun to form.

The canine was wagging its tail, waiting impatiently for its opponent to make it move, instead, the idling Pokemon was greeted by the all familiar Pokeball. Said capture device and its variations were littered around all over the tunnel adding to the urban filth, all caused by trainers' fail attempt to capture a Pokemon, that, or Pokemon's resilience to be capture by breaking a couple Poke Balls. The Pokeball descended near the air around the Electrike, and in a few seconds, the Pokemon was absorbed into a white light and into the sphere. The defiant Pokemon struggled a bit inside the Poke Ball. The Pokeball rolled to the right... The Pokeball rocked to the left. CRACK! The attempt had failed as the energetic Electrike bursted out. The Poke Ball was shattered and some pieces were flying to a wall. Growling under its breath, the Electrike unleashed a devious jolt of electricity, sending Delphne's mind and body into a numb paralysis. Strangely enough, applying her psychic ability, the Gardevoir took advantage of this state and numbed the senses of Electrike too. Grinning cleverly, the psychic type looked undeterred by the wild Pokemon's Thunder Wave. Wild Battle

As soon as she threw the Pokeball, Sharada held some doubt that the Electrike would be captured easily. It wasn't just her fear of the creature that made her almost want the Pokemon to break free, so she had an excuse to flee but also the wild look in it's eyes. Amazed that it waited so patiently just for a ball to be thrown at it, the brunette wanted this encounter to just be done with. There was only so long she could pretend to be strong for and at the rate this battle was going, there was no doubt it was going to retaliate eventually with sparks of thunder of it's own. Drawing and trapping the Electrike inside, the ball shook once or twice but then Sharada's face dropped, a unimpressed grunt exiting her lips. Erupting out of the object and causing the device to shatter, she had partially wanted this to happen by now that it held, she felt almost irritated. For most of her journey, she had been quite lucky in terms of capturing Pokemon and survivng during harsh battles. Now experiencing a Pokemon breaking loose, if she liked it or not, it made her almost want to try again.
"Looks like it doesn't want to come. Let's go." Having shook off her uncertainty, Sharada was fine with leaving this one particular Electrike for the possiblity of finding one much nice or tamer. However, Delphine wasn't having any of it. "I'm afraid you will not be going anywhere until this very one is captured." She started, drawing in the attention and stare of Sharada, "This Pokemon holds great resolve. No matter how weak, it does not wished to be enslaved." Turning her head, Delphines eyes narrowed, "That makes it even more valuable. Continue. Throw the next!" Demanding Sharada in a chop, chop fashion with a click of her delicate hands, the Gardevoir had been so busy bossing Sharada that she had forgotten the Electrike had a chance to move. "Be careful!!" Tenebrae called, having seen the sparks fly from the body of the Electrike. "Hmm?... G-GRAH!" Suddenly feeling a frantic spasm shake across her body, Delphine swiftly realised what the electric canine had done and instantly thought of a way of repayment.
Using her ability, Delphine linked minds with the Electrike and within moments, the wild creature was experiencing the exact same status effect that the Gardevoir had. "H-Hah! Foolish fiend! That is what... You deserve!" Glaring her eyes with a look of seething rage, she hissed once more at the Electrike, "You will rue the day you dared to inflict me. Such a pitiful display of brainless buffoonery." Silencing as she felt her body twitch against her own will, she instantly glared back to Sharada, "Hurry you fool! Standing around as if it would capture itself... If you do not hurry, I will finish you both were you stand!" Rubbing a hand against her forehead at the demands her Pokemon was making, Sharada muttered under her breath, "The result is gonna be the same... I hope you'll be the one paying for these replacement Pokeballs." Taking out a slightly stronger device, a Great Ball, Sharada hoped that she would have better luck this round.
