Megan had taken a detour back to Cherrygrove when she had heard whispers of polluted waters in Cherrygrove to which she was shocked! Cherrygrove had been such a beautiful place when she had visited in the spring with the flower petals falling to the ground she was afraid of what it might look now.
She wandered into the streets, it looked quite the same as she had remembered it other than the unrest and whispers in the streets of the polluted waters. Stopping, she fumbled to her belt where her pokeballs sat. For this quick trip she had left her other Pokemon with Nurse Joy in Violet and just brought along Poncho. She played with his pokeball for a moment before releasing it into her hand, enlarging it, and letting it fall from her hand to the ground opening in a flash of light and the black shaggy form of her Poochyena stood by her side. While she returned the pokeball to her him Poncho butted her leg also feeling the tension in the air, "I know I feel it too," she said as she petted the pooches head and he whimpered his response. Megan sighed and wondered who to talk to so she could help figure out this whole water situation out.

Astrid was back in the Pokemon Center. She had been out to look around for clues about the poluted river and had begun to work together with another younger woman. They had quickly decided they needed to warn the authorities and Astrid had apologized that she wanted to take advantage of it to leave Egil at the Pokemon Center. There was something unnerving about him, he seemed cold, and she didn't want any trouble now there was clearly something wrong out there in the forest. She would need a reliable partner, and the first that came into mind was Cyan. Logically a calmer and more experienced pokemon would probably had been a good idea, but since they had a partner with pokemon as well, Astrid thought it would be good for Cyan to be a bit on his own. He needed some experiences where he wasn't leaning towards his friends all the time. She didn't wanted to bring a whole bunch since it was all poluted and disgusting out there, and she feared some of her pokemon would get poisoned if she didn't keep an eye of them all.
As she left the Pokemon Center with a happy mudkip at her side, a frown appeared on her forehead. Where did her partner go? Hadn't they made an agreement about meeting out here? She looked around but saw no sign of her, and went inside to ask Nurse Joy, who hadn't seen her either. "Perhaps she has went back out again?" Astrid mumbled slowly to herself and Cyan looked questioningly at her. The longer Astrid thought about it, the more it seemed like what had happened, since they had talked about that they needed to get this solved as fast as possible and Astrid would approve that the other had went along without her, should she get the chance to find soemone who could solve the problem. "Let us see if she is out there," Astrid said with a smile to Cyan, who tilted his head curious, not understanding what she was talking about. Even if she guessed things was already taken care off, she wanted to make sure of it, and she walked in her slow but steady pace through Cherrygrove and out into the wilderness towards the disgusting smell.
(ooc: I wasn't sure on where you were so I'm just having Astrid to walk all over the place and you can catch her whenever it fits you ^^)

The young trainer decided to head out from the city and see if she could find the older trainer she had been talking to about the going ons in Cherrygrove with these rumors. Poncho stuck close to her side growling at every suspicious thing. Megan kept her hand on the wound up pup as they maneuvered back out of the city.
As they walked out of the city and into the wilderness she saw an older lady and her Mudkip just ahead of them, "That must be Astrid!" she said to Poncho as she picked up the pace to a brisk walk the putrid smell starting to get worse.
"Astrid?" Megan said her tone a bit of a question as she got within hearing of the older lady, hoping she was right and wanting to get to the bottom of the rumors and smell.

The girl she had been traveling to the river once already, was no where to be seen and Astrid worried where she was and what she was doing. Hopefull she hadn't gone back out there all on her own. She turned when someone called out her name and she smiled to the woman who was approaching. She did remember her as she had talked with her as well, about the poluted water, which she now knew was really a thing. "Oh Hi, it was Megan, was it not?" Astrid asked as she offered the woman a handshake. Cyan had hid behind her when the stranger approached, but as they seemed friendly enough he was quick to move forward as he didn't believe there would be a battle. "I am sorry, but I fear I need your help," Astrid said as she rememberdd the woman to be quite worried about the rumours of the polution. "After I talked with you about the rumours I met with another girl whom I made a quick investigation with, and found that the river is indeed poluted. We decided we were not prepared to continue and came back here, now I do not know where she is, and there is still the river to take a look at," Astrid said with an apologizing smile. "She has either went to find more help, or she has gone out there alone, which I do not like to think about. Would you be willing to go with me and take a look?" Astrid asked Politely, "I am sure we will find her, if she has gone out there alone," she said and after a brief pause continued quietly, "and I fear it does not look good at all with the river either." She waited for Megan's answer, and if she agreed to go with her, she would thank her relieved and walked as fast as it was possible for her protesting legs, towards the river.
(ooc: Sorry about the confusion, I was trying, in the last post, to make an excuse for why Astrid wasn't doing the quest, which was dead and I left ^^' I can see that I didn't make that clear.)

Ahh, so the older woman was Astrid. Megan was glad to have found her and that she hadn't seemed to go too far from the city yet. "Yes, I'm Megan, it's so great to meet you Astrid!" Megan gushed as she shook the older lady's hand. Her Mudkip seemed leery of a stranger and Megan reached into her hip pouch and pulled out a couple pieces of Pokemon food and crouched down letting the little Mudkip sniff it before Megan patted it's little head.
"Ahh, so the river is polluted then. Interesting. I wonder what is causing it." Megan mused as Astrid explained what was going on.
"Of course I'll head out and help you! I am just as interested in what is going on with this polluted water!" Agreeing to go Poncho bumped her leg, "This is Poncho, my Poochyena." She said with a smile rubbing the back of her neck.
"I think we might want to head back into town and see if anyone knows anything." She suggested.

"Interesting, hah! That is one way to put it," Astrid laughed briskly and smiled reassuring to Megan so she didn't mean any harm with it. "I hope that is something you can help me with," Astrid continued when Megan wondered about the reason for it,"finding clues and go where I may not be able to, due to my age and bad legs," "Wonderful!" Astrid exclaimed and smiled briefly to Poncho, "this is Cyan, go and say h," she suggested to her mudkip who looked questioningly at her, before he stepped a bit forward nervously. Cyan would go almost all the way to the poochyena, before he raced giggling back to hide behind Astrid's trolley and looking expectantly at him. He would to this a couple of times and if Poncho didn't catch on he would walked closer again. "Don't you like to play?" Cyan would ask Poncho.
"The river is this way," Astrid said and her smile was quickly replaced with a more serious expression when she was about to go the river. When Megan talked about warning the authoraties Astrid stopped confused and looked frowning at her, "do you not think that we need to have some informations first?" She asked. "If we can tell them what is going on here, they can react faster and at the point where the problem is," Astrid started to argument but hesitated, "Of course, if we warn them quickly we can find answers while they prepare, which would spare us some time," she said hesitantly. "We can do that, I just hope we do not need to go back again later, my legs you know," Astrid said with a wink.
Astrid would accept and follow Megan in what she deemed the best thing to start out with, look for clues first to have some actual information to give, or to warn the authoraties first, so it all would hopefully go a bit faster.
(ooc: I thought we were going with the Lady and child first? But if we're out of the city, that can still happen of course, and if not, it is fine with me ^^ What ever you think is most fitting in this situation, it won't take any longer post wise)

Meeting up with Astrid on the outskirts of Cherrygrove City, the pair introduced themselves to one another before Megan took the lead, heading back toward the city streets so that together, they could gather some information. Led to the same place after a surprising rumour about the local water supply being polluted, it had become so bad that both people and Pokemon were starting to become sick. If the polluted water was beginning to enter through the taps in people's home then Cherrygrove City had quite the dangerous problem! It was questionable why the local authorities hadn't already issued an official investigate to seek out the problem but for now, neither Astrid nor Megan really knew where else to go. Both wanted to help in any way that they could so for now, they simply wanted to gather information. But as they stepped along the streets, a distracting cry boomed from close by.
"WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH UUUGGHHH AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!"
Up ahead was a distressed looking lady with an even more upset toddler. Red in the face, snot dripping from his nose and a cry that could pierce eardrums, it seemed that he was having a bit of a temper tantrum. Little feet stomping away, the woman's cries were drowned out by the boy's own and as she was trying her best to calm him down, she too was looking a little frustrated. Turning upon noticing both Megan and Astrid approaching her, the flustered lady glanced between the pair before looking back at the youngster. "Shush shush shush." She spoke in a calm voice, to try ease his volume down. "You are disturbing these people with your crying." Sniffling his running nose, the boy seemed to quiet down upon the arrival of these strangers. "NNRRKK! I... I wanna drink! DRINK NOW!" His red face creasing up as he stomped his feet, the woman curled a strand of hair behind her ears, kneeling forward to try once more, to soothe his anger. "But we've already been to the shop and you said--" "DRRII-IIINNN-IIINNNKK!"
Going back into his sobbing, the woman sighed with slumped shoulders and turned back to the two women. "I'm really sorry about this, I don't suppose you could do me a huge favour?" Lifting her bag, she dug around for her purse, "Could you pop along to the local Pokemart and buy a drink for me? Or rather, for him?" Handing Astrid the money, she wore a genuine smile that practically begged the pair for help. "I'm going to stay here to try and calm him down."
The Lady hands over 300 and asks you to purchase any drink from the local PokeMart.

It seemed as though Cyan, Astrid's Mudkip, seemed to be that of a shy nature as he moved closer but then hid behind his trainers legs.
Astrid led the way to the river as the girls began their quest as to the poor water quality that plagued Cherrygrove. Astrid questioned Megan's words to alerting the authorities, she nodded and agreed with Astrid agreeing that they need to find out some clues as to what is going on first.
Megan decided to keep quiet for the most part at this as the older woman seemed much wiser and knew what she was going when it came down to it.
A cry quickly hit the ears of the women and Megan turned her head to the riverbed, seeing a woman and a young toddler the woman making a lot of noise. The toddler was red in the face and snot was dripping from his nostrils and he looked to be having a bit of a temper-tantrum of sorts. Megan rushed over quickly, while glancing behind her watching the older woman praying her knee would be okay from the pace she was pushing.
The child was very upset and the mother trying to calm his boisterous noise as they got closer, he was really adamant about having a drink of water. The mother apologized and handed Astrid money asking for them to run and grab a bottled water for her son. Megan took the older woman's hand and took the money from it "Astrid, you stay here and try to help console the child I will sprint to the market and get a water. I will be back as fast as possible!" And like that Megan and Poncho were off through the streets like lightning towards the pokemart.
When the blue roofed building came into site the two hurried a bit more through the electric doors and grabbed a bottle of water out of the refrigerator, threw the money on the counter and sped as fast as they could back to the two women and the toddler.
They reached them and handed over the bottle of water panting wishing she would have grabbed a bottle for herself.

Cyan looked confused at the poochyena and to why it didn't reacted on his attempts to invite him to play. As he stepped forward and asked about it, the humans started to walk and the mudkip missed any answer there may had been given in his direction. He followed quietly but soon forgot his disappointment and instead looked around curiously. There was always a lot to look at in a city like this.
Astrid was looked around the wailing reached her ears, being both a mother and a grandmother had made her very attentive to children noices, especially if it sounded likere there was trouble brewing. Astrid was just as quick as Megan to figure out where the kid was and was worried to see that he stood so close to the river. Hopefully he hadn't drunk any of the water! "We better..." Astrid began but Megan was already rushing ahead, and the old woman followed with a sad smile. Youths and their impatience, though the world needed their will to do something about what was wrong and their energy when their assistance was needed.
"It is alright," Astrid reassuringly to the woman, when she apologized for the kids behavior. Astrid had had her share of unruly noicy kids in puplic with all the annoyed staring that always followed. She knew that even the best parents woul have times where the kids were just impossible. "He has not drunk from the river right?" Asstrid asked worried as she leaned over her cane to look closer at the boy. He didn't look like he was sick per so, just angry. Cyan peeked out from behind Astrid, though he wasn't really scared of the boy, not yet at least. "I.. I guess we could, but," Astrid started hesitantly as the woman gave her some money to buy a drink for the boy. She looked back at the city, it was a long walk for her bad legs and she needed to check out the river.
Astrid looked surprised at the hand that closed around hers and gently took the money from her. Then she smiled gratefully to Megan and watched as she ran off as fast as she could. It was good she wasn't alone on this task. "If you behave nicely, you will get something to drink as soon as my friend there returns," Astrid said kindly but in a bit of stern tone to the boy and ignored any other naughtiness from him, since she didn't wanted him to learn he would get anything from that. Instead she would ask the woman about the river. If the boy calmed down a bit Astrid would reassure him that a drink was on the way and if he wanted to hear a story? If he wanted to, she would tell him the story about The Skipping Skiddo which she had read so many times for her granddaughters she could it by heart.
"Looks who is coming," Astrid would say cheerfully and point at Megan, when she returned.

Upon hearing Astrid’s question about drinking from the river, the lady’s expression swapped to slight confusion. “From the river? No, no, of course not! Not in its current state. Besides, this thirst has only just come on. He was quite happy earlier, I swear.” The woman forced a smile, trying her best to hide any frustration she was feeling. Meanwhile, Astrid’s attempts to calm down the kid were unfortunately futile. The little one only had one thing on his mind. “DRINK DRINK DRIIIIIIIINK! WANNA DRINK!” The boy was not going to take on board any of Astrid’s words, regardless of what she tried. When the elderly woman mentioned the river again, the lady frowned. “So, you’re investigating the river, are you? All I know is what you’ll already have heard, I’m afraid. The water supply in Cherrygrove feels rather, um, unusual. It’s just about drinkable, but it doesn’t feel or taste like water. It’s kind of sludgy; like sewage, I mean. I’m sorry, I must be sounding a little crazy. Drinkable sewage!” The woman chuckled nervously before carrying on. “Anyway, the only other thing I can say is that I think we get all of our water from the river. That’s it, I’m afraid. There’s a nice, wise old gentleman that lives around here who’ll know more than me though. The Guide Gent, they call him. Oh, look, your friend’s back!”The lady turned to Megan as she raced back, waving welcomingly with a look of relief on her face. She turned to the child she was minding and spoke gently to him. “Look, this nice girl’s come back with a drink for you!” The boy immediately shut up and looked over at Megan, grinning widely. “Thank you ever so much, how can I ever repay you?” She took the bottle from Megan and held it just out of the child’s reach. “Now, what do you say to the nice lady?” The boy screwed up his face in discontent before looking up at Megan and chiming monotonously, “Thaaank youuuu.” “Good boy. Here you go.” She opened the bottle of Fresh Water and handed it to the kid, who snatched it out of her hands as quickly as he could. The little one quickly drained about half of the bottle then stopped all of a sudden. “All done!” With that, he threw the bottle of water aside and giggled, watching it roll away into the river nearby. The woman looked shocked and shouted quite abruptly at him. “What?! These nice ladies bought you a drink and you just throw it away?! Naughty boy!” The kid rolled his eyes and spoke in the same tone with which he had ‘thanked’ Megan. “Sooorryyyyy.” The apology sounded rehearsed and insincere, and his guardian was clearly incensed. “I should think so. Now then, come on. We’re going back home, and you’re going straight to your room. BAD boy!” Turning to the pair of trainers, she apologised as best she could. “I’m so sorry. He’s not usually quite this bad. Oh, and keep the change if there was any.” She dragged the toddler away by one arm, scolding him all the way. [As per usual, correct me if I goofed. Pretty sure this is fine from what you two gave me.]

Astrid seemed grateful with Megan's return as the red head took some deep breaths to calm her beating heart. The lady took the bottle from Megan, opened the top and gave it to the child who drank about half the bottle when then to Megan's dismay poured the rest of it out. The boy apologized in a rather rude and frankly unthankful tone, the lady thanked them again before dragging the young boy off who was no longer screaming about water and wanting a drink.
With Megan's breathing back to a normal rate she turned to Astrid and smiled "Anything I missed while I was gone? Any good information? Have we figured out why the water is so nasty and making people sick?!" She asked hoping the lady had given some form a clue as to what was going on. Poncho laid at her feet panting, waiting to know what was happening next.

Astrid listened closely to the woman and was a bit disappointed she didn't know much about it, though it was to expect. She didn't sound like on who was working with the river in any way. "It is alright, just ignore him if he misbehaves like this," Astrid recommended as the woman tried to hide her frustration. That child was really a mouthfull, that's for sure. Astrid smiled faintly as Guide Gent was mention, she had met him a few times as he showed visitors around Cherrygrove, he had even given her a pair of shoes. Astrid smiled fondly to the boy as he drank, and the quietness was nice for the old woman's ears. Cyan took advantage of the peacefulness and inched closer to Poncho. He asked if it had been a nice run with his trainer and what they had been doing. The nice moment soon disappeared as the boy finished his bottle and threw the rest into the river. Astrid stared shocked and scowled at the boy and it didn't become better when he clearly didn't mean his apology. The river was in danger and he treated it carelessly, no wonder it had got this poluted without anyone doing anything! She had believed the inhabitants of Cherrygrove to care more about the nature due to growing so many flowers. "Young man, you may have hot a pokemon in the water by doing that, and that hurts! That is not very nice," she said sternly to the boy, unable as she was to keep her mouth shut in such situation, and he wouldn't be able to understand the main reason. Astrid accepted the woman's apology and hoped she would learn to handle the boy, or else real trouble would soon arrive. Astrid stopped Cyan from jumping into the water and retrive the bottle, while she listened to Megan. "She did not know much I am afraid," she said slowly and sent the woman an apologetically look, "I am afraid we need to go back to Cherrygrove though, as she mentioned Guide Gent as a person who would be able to tell us a thing or two."She started to walk back towards the city and hoped to meet Guide Gent in the streets somewhere, she didn't know where he lived, and she hoped Megan was alright in going back again. As Megan and Astrid returned back to Cherrygrove City for another trip, they were hoping to find more information about this sludgy water situation. Not long after, they returned again to the small city. As they were looking for Guide Gent, some of the civilians thought they smelled stinky despite them having not stepped on a single drop of sludgy water. Or maybe, some of the stinky water got on the bottom of the shoes and they carried them back. Maybe? Though it didn't take them long for the man to appear himself, as he greeted them with a frown on his face. "Did you two just came from the Blue Moon Falls? I'm sorry but the Quagsire semeed to be leaving and we won't be able to give you a tour to see the rare Quagsire group. I heard from some of the citizens that you two are looking for more information on this sewage water situation. I can't help you much myself, but here's a Rage Candy Bar that I'm sure you will find a great use for it." He coughed once before speaking, and then proceeded to hand the two a rage candy bar. "I hope that the answer you're looking for won't be too far! And that the Quagsire will return to Cherrygrove City."Rage Candy Bar obtained!

Megan was bummed that the Lady didn't know very much, the only think helpful was the fact that she directed the two woman towards the Guide Gent's house. A quick nod came from Megan's head as the two woman and their pokemon made it back to Cherrygrove City. The pace that they took was much slower that the sprint that Megan had just done, but the younger woman was alright with it as it gave her time to sort out the information that she had been collecting in her head.
As the woman and their pokemon made it to Cherrygrove they wound their way through the streets to the Gent's house. It didn't seem like the Gent had given them any good information as he handed them each a Rage Bar but Megan turned to Astrid as her mind churned the facts. "Blue Moon Falls, and the Quagsire, that has to be something that's linking this!"

Astrid was rather surprised that others treated them like they smelled badly, when they returned to Cherrygrove. The water hadn't seemed that bad in the area they had been in and she was happy she was so old, she didn't care what others thought of her. She glanced at Megan to see if she seemed troubled by the comments, but she looked like she was deep in thought. Perhaps she hadn't even heard?
Astrid lightened up when the guide found them himself, even if he was worried. It meant that others wanted to help them, and without getting asked by it. "Blue Moon falls? Oh no, we have only been at the river just outside the city," answered as soon as she got a chance and she looked worried at him as he coughed. She accepted the Rage Candybar while wondering why it was called that. "It does not sound good with the quagsires, they are so gentle," Astrid said saddened, "I will promise you that we will do everything in our power to find a solution for this."
Astrid looked at Megan as she spoke and nodded in agreement. "It at least proves that there is something terrible wrong with the water. Quagsires loves clean pure water, so we better get going and see what is going on," Astrid said and turned to walk away, but paused and turned back to Megan and Guide Gent. "In which direction is The Blue Moon Falls?" She asked honestly. As soon as she had been given the direction, she would set off. "I hope you I will not slow you down," Astrid mumbled to Megan.
