Now in prime position to see the situation it certainly didn't look like Quagsire had much of a chance should the two heroines not decided to take a look around Blue Moon Falls. The gentle giant squirmed in the murky water as the poison wracked it with pain. Murmuring that droning hurt cry Quagsire made half an effort to paddle away from the approaching grimer, however, as it glanced at the oily sludge polluting its home it instead decided to not dip its flipper into the grime. Instead the water pokémon clutched the partially eaten apple that had gracefully fallen into the pool a little earlier like its life depended on it. Budew heard her trainer's orders and glanced around at the couple of visible grimer sliding about. As she debated which one her trainer meant for her to attack she noticed another pair of purple mounds rising from the polluted waters. Two more grimer formed up and began approaching Quagsire, leaving four targets for Budew to choose from. She glanced back and forth, pending, finally she just decided to attack the closest enemy and pool her attacks with Cyan's in the hopes to down one of the poison pokémon faster. Taking a breath she focused in on the grimer closest to the water's edge and let her roots do the work. Tendrils sprouted up around Grimer and began soaking in that delicious slimy murk. Though, the thickness was rather hard to get through leaving Budew with little taken and even less gained thanks to being full health already. Still, it made a slight impact on the grimer's vitality and put them one step closer to ridding Quagsire of one of its attackers. Cyan was soon to follow, puffing up his cheeks and spraying the same grimer with a blast of fresh water. Grimer moaned at the impact, the viscous body rolling over itself before forming up once again; a renewed hatred flashing in its eyes for the blue pokémon in front of it. The two nearest Grimer swam forward and began beating their fists down on poor Quagsire. Of who nibbled on its leftovers in an attempt to stave off the building effects of the poison. The battle seemed as though it was going to take a little bit more than Megan originally planned. But Megan knew that if Astrid and her planned it our just right they would come out victorious! The Quasire taking the brunt of the poisoning but with it hanging onto leftovers it seemed like it was going to be able to hold its own and that was good for Megan was going to be able to just put the Quagsire in the back of her mind, but if it got any worse she knew she would have to do something and help.
Megan sighed, the absorb attack was not as effective as she had hoped, and in the back of her mind, knew it wasn't going to be. She sighed, alright if this was going to be how this battle was going to go she thought of her options. She had no other pokemon with her and Budew was going to be her only lifeline at this point. With few attacks she knew that Budew and Cyan were going to have to do this together. "Alright Budew! Give that second Grimer a taste of your Stun Spore!" Megan had no clue if this attack was going to work but she crossed her fingers that the stun spore would at leaste slow down the Grimers.

Astrid looked at the battle with a frown, that toxic worried her and they were a bit too slow to take down the grimers to her liking. Their pokemon did their best but it was clear neither were that strong, but Astrid blamed the trouble on themselves. Which trainers went out to investigate with only one pokemon, and even one who wasn't much prepared to face what lay ahead? It was lucky the poisonous pokemon didn't show any interest in themselves, as Astrid wasn't sure how well Cyan or Budew could have handled that. Cyan at least, would only have become even more nervous. "Keep up the good work Cyan, another Water Gun on the same one you hit last time," Astrid called out and the mudkip took aim beofre he shot some more water at the injured Grimer, trying to wash it away.
"I do not like the poison it is affected by. It looks like it is getting worse, or are my eyes fooling me?" Astrid asked Megan as she squinted her eyes at the blue sick giant. "I think I have something that can help it, but I do not know how to get it out to it," Astrid said slowly and showed Megan a Full Heal she had found from her back. "Do you think you can get it out to it somehow?" Astrid asked and looked questioningly at Megan. It was a lot to ask about she knew it, going close to the battle and all the poison, but Megan would have a bigger chance than Astrid herself.

The poison and repeated poundings from its Grimer adversaries meant Quagsire was in a very poor position indeed, and it let out a mournful sound. Not only was its lovely home ruined by the pollution, but now it was being pestered by a passel of Poison-types... but it held on resolutely, as if hoping the two trainers nearby would aid it. Either directly, by trying to cure its affliction, or simply by defeating the invading Grimer. With four of them moving in, the odds seemed dire, but the injured Grimer was visibly slackening from its dousing the turn prior. The two that had appeared before were slowly making their way even closer, sludge freely sliding from their bodies to join the filth that had already tainted the pool.
Gaze locked on the Grimer next to the one she'd attacked last turn, Budew hopped as close to the water as she dared. Being a partial Poison-type, there was little to fear from being poisoned herself, but there was a repulsive quality to it that just didn't sit right. Using that indignation to inspire her move, Budew shook herself vigorously to shed a large quantity of golden powder that floated over the water with a light breeze. It settled upon her target, disappearing into its amorphous body with almost no indication of having worked... until the Grimer gave a sudden shudder, and almost seemed to be fighting to move in any way.
While Budew successfully paralyzed one foe, Cyan went after the already weakened one, unleashing a thin but powerful jet of water that struck the Grimer directly between its eyes. It groaned loudly, flailing its arms rather sadly before it simply collapsed, seeming to disappear into the water. One down... three to go. Quagsire whimpered as the paralyzed Grimer overcame its affliction to thrash it once again, and was subject to another volley of mud from one of the new arrivals, taking advantage of the fainted one to have a clear line of sight. Anxiously chewing on its Leftovers, Quagsire squeezed its eyes closed in an attempt to ignore the pain that had yet to let up. When the Quagsire whimpered Astrid took a decision. There were no time to lose and unless it was cleared from that poison, it wouldn't last until they had defeated the grimers. "We cannot wait, we need to heal it now. Come on!" Astrid said grimly and grabbed the Full Heal tight in her hand as she made her way towards the poisoned quagsire. "Cyan!" Astrid called and he jolted, which made Astrid exhale to be able to talk a bit more calmly to him, while she was still hurrying towards the water. "Well done! I know you could do it!" She praised him in a strained voice. It was hard to sound cheerful in such dire situation, but Cyan's reaction made it clear it was necessary. "Now try distract that grimer over there, the one that was behind it you ashed away, that one closest," Astrid urged and Cyan nodded eagerly before he target the second grimer. "That was well though," Astrid took time to praise Megan over her shoulder. She knew how useful paralysis could be and if one or more of them were hindered just some of the time, it could make a huge difference. As Strid reached the quagsire and quickly doused it in the full heal, she did what she could to make sure it ingested some of it. She wasn't sure what worked best and fastest, so she would try anything. If Megan had followed her to the quagsire, Astrid would ask if she still had the rage candy bar and to use it on the weakened quagsire. Megan(ooc: Using Full Heal on Quagsire, and if alright with an attack as well, Cyan uses Water Gun on the closest Grimer (the one in the second wave that is attacking) ~Suggesting you to use the Rage Candy Bar Megan )

While Megan watched and calculated out the best course of action Astrid had already taken a chance at helping the Quagsire. Using a Full Heal on the Quagsire Astrid had given the gentle pokemon a chance at surviving this horrendous attack. Megan watched as Cyan used Water Gun on the closest Grimer and Megan tried to figure out what would be best for her Budew. This was not what she was expecting at the end of this task, but so it be and they were all going to get out of this mess that had been created.
"What can I do," Megan mumbled as she thought about it remembering the Rage Bar that the Guide Gentleman gave her she pulled it out over her bag hoping that the Quagsire would eat it, she got it close to the Quagsrie hoping he would take interested in it. Megan looked back to her seedling and thought, "Alright, Budew, see if you can absorb any of their energy with your absorb attack. Any of them will do we just need to lessen the number of Grimers!" Megan said hoping that though this course of action she didn't know if this would in turn harm her little partner.

Cyan let out a determined bark, not wasting any time to protect his trainer as she approached the dangerous slime of the lake for the sake of the bellowing quagsire. The poor wild pokémon was just getting worse and worse, the poison tearing away at its strength so it was rendered basically useless. Megan wasn't one to stand back though either, both women edging their way up while their own pokémon did their best to keep the grimer away long enough that they weren't injured in the fray. Astrid's was probably the most dangerous, as Megan was able to get Quagsire's attention and toss the candy to it, while the elder lady needed to get up close in order to apply the medicine. The dual type pokémon caught the candy bar and greedily dug into it, savoring the sweet bitterness of the bar and the slick paper crunch of its wrapper as its rejuvenating effects took hold. Likewise, once the full heal was being applied the gentle giant let out a sigh of relief. Its skin returned to a healthy baby blue. Budew meanwhile had waddled up with Cyan to provide cover, looking between the viable targets and replaying Megan's vague instructions. Choose one? Any one? No doubt one that was up close and threatening both the two women and the quagsire. The grass type huffed once before beginning to suck out what life force she could of the far grimer up front. The approaching grimer then moved to be up close and personal to the quagsire. Luckily Astrid had just retreated, her medicinal application complete. Both grimer resumed wailing on the water pokémon, but it seemed that no poison would plague it this round as it nibbled happily away at the leftovers in an attempt to regain its strength. Megan's budew continued sucking away vitality from the far grimer, Cyan coming up next to give the closest grimer a good splash of fresh clean water right in the face. It howled, waving its mucky hands and trying to wipe the diluting liquid from its being. Neither stopped pounding away at Quagsire. The pool of murk and polluted materials once again began soaking into Quagsire's body, sending the gentle giant's stomach whirling once again. Astrid hurried away from the quagsire as the grimer got a bit too close to her for comfort. Cyan was quick to deter it and turn its attention back to the quagsire. Astrid felt relieved about that, only to immediately to feel ashamed to think like that, as the quagsire clearly had bigger problems than she did. She smiled relieved as the quagsire looked much better, and it helped even further when Megan gave it the strange candy bar, which it gobbled up fast. It probably tasted much better than the half-eaten apple it was clinging to like it was a matter of life or death. Which could probably be the case if Astrid and Megan failed. To Astrid's concern the effect didn't last long, and as soon as the grimers had thrown their sludge the guagsire looked like it was feeling sick. Not as much as before but Astrid could understand that it was poisoned again and she felt that her attempt to heal it had been in vain. It was good Megan had given it the candy bar so it had got its energy renewed and was ready to fight once more.
They had to get rid of those grimers.
Astrid narrowed her eyes and looked thoughtful of the slimy attackers, it looked like the one in the back couldn't get to attack and was hindered by the ones in front of it. Perhaps that could be a help. "I think we shall try focus on the one closest to us, it looks like the one furthest behind cannot see the quagsire, perhaps we can reduce the numbers that is attacking, if not then just for a short time being," Astrid told Megan, and would listen if Megan had another or better suggestion, but would otherwise go along with her plan. "Good Cyan, clean that one closest to you again! We are going to clean up this river!" Astrid called to her mudkip in an overly cheerful voice to keep him motivated and calm. It worked as Cyan happily sent another watergun at the closest grimer. When everyone around him was feeling happy and confident, he did too.

Megan watched the battle progress and continuously got more and more frustrated that she only had her little Budew with her. Megan nodded at Astrids suggestion. "Budew, help Cyan out on the closest Grimer using Absorb!" The little bud puffed itself up getting itself ready to help get the area clean again from the gook and grime. Literally.

Quagsire had experienced better days, that was for sure.
The Grimer oozed closer and closer, pounding their slimy hands against the creature. It's previously blue skin took the same poisoned tint once more, causing it's stomach to swirl and the creature to retch off to the side. This seemed to please the Grimer, who let out dopey, gurgling chuckles. This didn't sit well with the defending Pokemon, however. While Quagsire had been healed temporarily, there was no way to totally avoid the pool that Quagsire was in. With it being as sick as it was, moving it wasn't going to be an option. The trainer was correct: They HAD to get rid of these Grimer, or Quagsire wouldn't last much longer.
Budew and Cyan shifted uncomfortably, waiting for their orders. There was only so much they could do! With their new commands, both Pokemon sprung into action. Quagsire noticed the one particular Grimer that had been Paralyzed, hoping that it would be stunned this turn. However, the hope faded as the Grimer pounded the creature once more. Since the attacks had been focused on the Grimer closest to them, the other creatures sprung into action. Water flowed from Cyan to try and 'wash away' the poisonous creature, but it still remained. Budew stepped forward and called forth a few roots to try and heal itself and knock out the Grimer, but it still stood.
Quagsire let out a low wail as the poison did it's work. It seemed to perk up a bit when it nibbled it's Leftovers, but there wasn't much relief. It seemed to counteract the poison, but what of next turn? Item in Stock: None Budew | LV 10 | Natural Cure Status: +1 ATK & SP ATK Successful Absorb! It was tough keeping up with fighting both the poison and the grimers, which both attacked the poor quagsire. Astrid worried more and more and feared they weren't able to keep the gentle water type from going under. The rage candy bar and the full heal had helped but the grimers and their poison was stronger, and the quagsire was in threat of succumb. It needed something much stronger. "This is not going well, our pokemon are not strong enough to keep up with the grimers," Astrid said and rummaged through her trolley to find something useful. "I have something called a super potion, if the name is correct, that should do something good. I also have a berry here, that should help with the poison, can you get them to the quagsire? Then I will get Cyan to distract the grimers in the meantime," Astrid asked and hoped Megan was alright with it. "Go on Cyan, take care of the two front grimers, keep them away from the quagsire, now they are so mean to it!" Astrid called and Cyan nodded and readied his attack. As Megan only too the pecha berry, Astrid herself went to use the Super Potion on the Quagsire, and hurried back to safety while Cyan sprayed water at the closest grimer. (ooc: EDIT Astrid uses Super Potion on the Quagsire, then Cyan uses Water Gun at the 5HP grimer. gives Megan a Pecha Berry to use on Quagsire. which I hope is alright with you Megan Since I have to edit to make sure the super potion was used, I'm unsure what attack Megan is going to use, since none is mentioned at the moment. It seemed that no matter what the two Women were doing the Grimers were fighting a tough fight and the gentle Quagsire was not going to be able to hold on for much longer. The red headed young adult paused when Astrid began rummaging through the bag she had been wheeling along with them. Finally she pulled out a berry and turning too her younger partner if she would be able to get the Berry to the Quagsire while her and her water pokemon friend did another bout of damage on the nasty poision pokemon.
Megan nodded knowing that Astrid and Cyan were going to deal a better hand that Budew would. Megan held onto the Berry hoping that it would help the gentle blue pokemon. Giving it a good toss Megan waned to make sure that it made its was to the Quagsire and not into the nasty poisionous water that the Grimers were effecting.
When that was taken care of and Megan saw Astrid also use a Potion on the Grimer Megan looked to Budew and patted her head. "Go help Cyan out with another absorb," The red head said and the little green pokemon was excited to know that it was helping win this battle.

With the quagsire continuing to helplessly roll around through the poisoned water it was clear even after the healing and momentary relief provided by the trainers it was still too much for quagsire to escape or even lend a hand against its own attackers. It would be up to Astrid and Megan alone to fend off this threat. They may not have been fully prepared but so far things had been going fairly smoothly, and after the next step of Astrid's plans they would be in much better shape to save the gentle pokémon. While both women raced up to give personal aid to the blue giant their pokémon went straight onto offense to keep their trainers from harm. A couple more slaps from Grimer snuck in on the Quagsire during the process, but after the tag-team implemented their attacks the duo would have one less grimer to worry about. Even luckier still was the second grimer hanging around in the back seemed to want to stay back there, the poison type choosing not to swing around up to the front and join in the quagsire pounding. Perhaps it was afraid it would be the next target of Budew & Cyan if it did. Whatever the reason it was a boon to quagsire's rescuers, as now it would be taking less damage every turn from the ooze pokémon. Astrid went back to safety as fast as possible, but she had nothing to worry about as the grimers even ignored Cyan and Budew's attacks to focus on the quagsire. It was weird, why were they so determined attacking it? Perhaps they tried to chase it away? Or had some of the pollution affected their brains so they for some reason saw the quagsire as something deadly to them They would probably never know, but it made it easier for Astrid and Megan to take them out, and get close enough to the quagsire to aid it when needed.
Astrid held her breath as one of the grimers disappeared in the mucky water, and she grinned when the other stayed back, instead of taking its place. "Look! It does stays back, either it is too nervous to step forward, or else they have become crazy and cannot think for themselves. Either way that is a help for us and for the quagsire," Astrid said cheerfully to Megan. "Now things look more positive and if we continue to work together this well, I am sure we will solve this problem and save it," Astrid praised and patted Megan's shoulder, happy she was not alone about this. "Do you think you could get the one in the back paralyzed? Other than that, I think we just needs to fokus on fighting the grimers and the poison in the quagsire," Astrid said and looked questioningly at Megan.
"Well done Cyan! See, the quagsire is feeling much better as well, keep it up and blast the one that still hits it! Show them what you can do!" Astrid shouted to Cyan who startled at first, but then eagerly attacked the front grimer with his water gun, proud he was doing so well.

Megan listened to Astrids request and nodded, "I can see if Budew can get that back one paralyzed," she replied and focused her attention on everything ahead of them. "Alright Budew, see if you can get a Stun Spore on that back Grimer, then jump in and help Cyan with an Absorb if you can!" The little green grass pokemon jumped up excited and then mustered up her strength for it's attacks.
