The bustling streets of Goldenrod was teeming with vibrant life of all types. Many trainers from around the world wanted to visit the wondrous city that had graced the front pages of magazines from around the world. Their shops burst with touristic traps, full of small trinkets and artifacts that only individuals who didn’t live in the city itself would seem to find fascinating. However, in the heart of the city itself lay streets left largely untouched by those same tourists, for those streets were known as ‘crime havens’ by the locals. Policeman Dirk had been sent in the heart of the area affectionately nicknamed ‘Sin City’ in search of a nefarious no-good known as ‘Mr. Bulldoze’, and he hoped this would be the time to prove himself. When Dirk crossed paths with some possible suspects, however, they fled down the nearby routes as fast as they could, tossing smoke bombs and other obstacles in their way. He did hie best as a cop – calling backup to dispatch to get more uniformed officers to help rally up all of Mr. Bulldoze’s supporters. Though he didn’t have much to work with in terms of a description, he knew that Mr. Bulldoze loved to surprise attack his enemies. He also had short black hair with strikingly black eyes to match. “Sir! Mind if I ask some quest-” Dirk called out with his dogs nipping at his heels, though Alex’s Whirlipede would blast ‘em with a powerful screech, causing one of the dogs to leap in front of his trainer protectively. Dirk pulled on a small device pinned to the top of his shirt and spoke into it. “Uh, Dirk to base, I have the possible suspect cornered. Please send backup stat. Suspect seems highly aggressive, resorting to attacking anything first with their Pokemon, Kyrpto and I will handle this.” Then he turned to Alex with a finger pointing accusingly at the trainer. “Alright, Mr. Bulldoze, give up with your hands up and your Pokemon returned at once! Krypto, use your Flame Wheel to help teach this criminal a lesson!” The tiger striped dog barked enthusiastically. He curled up into a large ball, cloaked himself with flames, and raced across the ground after Legigent, striking his opponent in the side. When Alex found himself with an officer, he was confused. Thankfully, his Whirlipede was ready to throw down like every day was Black Friday. "Uh, Officer, I am not mister Bulldoze. Heck, none of my Pokemon even knows the move Bulldoze." He replied, confused by the situation. "If you don't mean Bulldoze in the Pokemon sense then uh, I am just a trainer and not like, someone planning to bulldoze this forest or something. Do I look like I know how to drive those construction vehicles?"
Then, after asking all of his confused question, he calmly asked the officer once again, "How can I help you, officer?" He didn't know what to expect from this officer, but he did knew that his bug type would not do well with a fire type opponent. He could use roll out, but it's a risky move that could miss and might not have enough damage against the opponent who could roast Gig literally. Maybe he should also teach his Whirlipede Bulldoze if he could find a TM, that would do better than this Roll Out.
"Gig, let's go for a Poison Tail!" He ordered his Pokemon with a command, the next best option after Roll Out and Bug Bite. His bug cried happily and concentrated poison in his tail before rolling over to the Growlithe this sick beat.

Officer Dirk looked determined as ever, this guy's action really waved tons of red flags to him even if he didn't really have any proof of the trainer's guilt. "You are not going to fool me by turning my words around! Your aggressive attacking revealed you as no innocent man would be so jumpy at the sight of an officer!" He declared and Krypto gave a single confirming bark, not once did its eyes leave Gig. "You of anyone should know that Nicknames are not literate and pretending to be stupid will not prove your innocence! I have proof you know, it will help your case greatly if you follow me willingly and not resist the arrest," Dirk said suggestively, "you were seen at Smith's Alley yesterday at 3 o'clock, don't deny it. Breaking into an old widow's home and stealing what little she has left, how could you?" He bluffed and looked sad. He knew he was playing a hard game here, Mr. Bulldoze was known for running everyone who went against him flat into the ground. He certainly didn't need any pokemon for that, but Officer Dirk could not accept him to run free any longer. He trusted his well trained partners to be able to help him through this and put things right. He was taken by surprise by Alex's question, "help me? By recalling your pokemon, putting your pokeballs on the ground and your hands in the air of course!" He said surprised, and then narrowed his eyes suspiciously, "what do you hope to gain with that question? Do you really think you can negotiate your arrest?" He did not dare speak out loud that the criminal might have hoped to buy a favor and attempted to bribe him! He felt more secure in his belief that this probably could be the criminal he was looking for, when Alex gave an aggressive order to try win the battle instead of just giving up. A normal innocent trainer wouldn't do that, right? "It's a bug Krypto, you got this! Flame Wheel again," Dirk ordered grimly, forced to continue the battle as he was no going to let this "criminal" get away. Gig was by far the fastest now and sent gras and dirt whirling into the air as he bulldozed over the ground after the growlithe, who jumped around barkingly and seemed more to try drag out the battle than to finish it quickly. Which one of Gig's appendages that would count as the tail was hard to tell, but he had the poison ready in all four of them and his speed took the faithful dog by surprise and smacked it over the face. It growled warningly, flared up and slammed its shoulder into the whirlipede's side, before it jumped back and continued its goating and barking and generally annoying the round bug by running around it and getting in the way. Alex looked at him puzzled, well, if both of them could see each other's facial expression in such a foggy weather. "No, last night I was sleeping in Ecruteak's Pokemon Center. Why don't you give them a call and confirm my location?" He replied, still having no answer as to what did this mister criminal do to earn the nickname of Bulldoze.
"Oh no, I think once you start a Pokemon battle, you got to finish it. A trainer can't quit and run away from the battle, remember?" He replied the officer about how they can't just finish a battle like this now. "You also can't arrest me like that. I can come in to your questioning or interrogations, if you asked. However, I don't think you have a search warrant for me." He might not be a lawyer, but he knew a thing or two of patient's right if a patient would also be a criminal.
Had he remember that fog reduce the usage of moves like Screech to nothing, he would have been ahead of the battle by now. However, he made a slight calculation error and if he didn't do something, the Growlithe would have beat his bug type. He dug his backpack and grabbed a Soda Pop. "Here Gig, drink this."
The duo type drank it and burped from his little buggy throat. He felt refreshed and was ready to roll again."Give it another Poison Tail! You should use your walky and ask your friends in headquarter more details about this Bulldozer."

The officer narrowed his eyes and looked suspiciously at Alex when he suggested they should call the Pokemon Center, why would a criminal suggest that when he had clearly been somewhere else? He probably had a alibi or something there then, but it might be a good clue. "So you want me to call them and as if they had a known criminal looking like you sleeping there?" He chuckled in disbelief and then shrugged, "I can do that. Dirk to Base," he called into his walkie. "Go on," came the static answer. "Please check if The Bulldozer had been seen around Goldenrod's Pokemon Center. Suspect is claiming he's been around there." "Roger."Officer Dirk put his thumps in his belt and put his weight on the front of his soles. "Well Mr. If you are innocent as you say, then why did you attack me the moment you saw me? Hmm?"Dirk did not think he had to tell Bulldoze how he got his own nickname, that would just be silly. The officer huffed at Alex's argument for continuing the battle. "You don't really believe that, do you? That's taught to kids so that they don't start a lot of trouble and see through what they start! You can always give up and claim the other the winner if you want to," he said dryly before shaking his head, "but this isn't a normal trainer battle! This is a resisted arrest! I am only battling you because you will not give up and come with me to the office! You can call this off any moment, and if you are really innocent Mr. Bulldoze, they will know it right away and you are a free man again. The only reason I can see for you to continue to battle is because you fear what will happen if you get turned in," He pointed out determined. Alex did all the actions which needed to be done to continue battling, which only confirmed the officer's suspicions that Alex really was the one he was looking for but just tried to play innocent. To be fair, Alex surprise attack in the start had shocked the officer and he hadn't really followed protocol when he tried to arrest the trainer for being a criminal. No badge had been shown, no declaration of what was the intent of his intents, but Dirk had also just wanted to ask some questions first before doing all that. "Flame Wheel Krypto! Give it all you got! If he can't be convinced by words we must do it with force!" Dirk ordered and his dog got engulfed in flames as Alex was busy healing his whirlipede. As Gig rolled forward the growlithe slammed into his side, he quickly swapped it away with one of his horn-like feelers, but the dog jumped around and did a flaming tackle again. Alex was almost relieved when he heard the officer taking his suggestion to call the Pokemon Center to check his alibi. Almost. "Hey officer, I said Ecruteak Pokemon Center. You just called for Goldenrod Pokemon Center. EE-CREW-TEAK." He got frustrated, sounding out the syllables of Ecruteak like he was talking to a five years old. Maybe the officer had hard of hearing or something.
"What do you mean kids? I am sure adults do it too. Have you not seen people streaming live Pokemon battle on Mewtube? I actually battled a streamer a week or two ago." He replied, trying to not be gaslighted by the officer. He actually didn't want to come to the office because he already made his way toward Ecruteak Pokemon Center, and it would be a long walk again to go from Goldenrod to Ecruteak. He was just hanging by the outskirt of Ecruteak city, after all.
"Poison Tail again, Gig!" He hollered. He knew that both of their Pokemon are on their last leg since they both seemed to hit equally hard. It was a surprise the bug type can handle the fire type's attack for this long.

Dirk smirked as he watched The Bulldozer begin to lose his cool. He knew that this criminal could tell it was only a matter of time before Dirk would have him handcuffed in the back of his patrol car. Then they would both go down to the precinct where Dirk could properly investigate and question this criminal for all the crime sprees that Bulldozer had been known or heavily suspected to be a part of. A criminal’s naughty Pokemon were simply no match for the skill and expertise of his super-canines, who could sniff out crime a mile away! “Save your alibi for the judge, Mr. Bulldozer. You’re gunna need it.” Dirk nodded firmly as Krypto leaped excitedly and growled. “Krypto, you’ve got to keep using your Flame Wheel. It’s the best move for us to bring this criminal into custody!” Dirk informed. Krypto barked and wagged his tail as he began to cloak himself in flames once more. Though it was short lived when Legigent simply rolled over and slammed his long… tail?…against Krypto’s head. The small pup howled in pain and teetered back-and-forth on the tip of its toes, before slumping down on the leaf-littered floor in a fainted heap. “Agh, Krypto! Return! You did your best, buddy. But now it’s time for Ace to take it over from there!”Officer Dirk pulled another Pokeball from his belt and tossed it up into the air with the click of a button. Within seconds, another almost identical looking canine appeared in the blink of an eye. This one lowered his head and folded his ears against his skull as he growled at the would-be criminals in warning. “Ace is giving you one final time to give up and come to the precinct for questioning, Mr. Bulldozer!” Then, a voice piped up on Dirk’s walkie. “Uh, Officer Dirk. We couldn’t find any trace of The Bulldozer being at Goldenrod’s Pokemon Center or anyone similar. Over.” Dirk’s eyes lit up accusingly as he pointed his finger at Alex. “Hah! SEE! You’re just full of lies! Why would I need to call Ecruteak’s when it’s obvious you’re just trying to escape us here so you can hide in Ecruteak and avoid the time for your crimes?!” Officer Dirk demanded to know. “I’m so busy with work that I never have time to watch those ‘influencer’ shows. Most of them are just kids with a bunch of free time on their hands, anyways. There’s real work to be done…like stopping criminals like you!” Ace dug his claws into the ground and barked loudly as though he were agreeing with his trainer. Alex shook his head at the officer's lack of professionalism. This man could easily ask his colleagues to call the Ecruteak Pokemon Center if he didn't have the numbers. "You better come up with an excuse to your boss on why you're wasting time on someone like me, who is not Mister Bulldoze or whatever you're thinking about."
It didn't take too long for the speedy Whirlipede to whack his poisonous tail at the Growlithe, sending it unconscious.
"Maybe the one full of lies is you. Why don't you ask your colleague over there to contact Ecruteak Pokemon Center?" You'll rather believe your own lies than the evidence in front of you for you to check. The one real work for you to do right now is to call them." The young trainer replied, sounding a bit passive aggressive. "Just go, hey, officer, can you call Nurse Joy in Ecruteak Pokemon Center to see if you see a kid lodging last night at three o'clock?" He was annoyed. He was glad this officer wasn't a doctor, because he would have been slammed with malpractice.
Seeing that the officer had another Growlithe, he decided to have some fun. "You did great, Gig. Have some rest." He returned his Pokemon and swapped out another one. "Casilk, start off with an Air Cutter!" He barely had any ground type on his own nor was he certified for those construction vehicles, how the heck would he Bulldoze anything?

The officer smirked when The Bulldozer tried to threaten him, "you're not scaring me Mr. Bulldozer, my job as a hand of the law is to bring any suspect to judgement, as I said, the judge will set you free if you are really innocent," he said confidently, "If I didn't stop anyone who it might be, who acts like he is and keeps on battling instead of proving his innocence instead of this dragged out nonsense, then we would never catch anyone!""Why would I lie? I can call if it makes you happy, it won't prove anything though," Dirk said with a headshake, feeling confident his second dog should bring the criminal to justice. They had trained hard and long, and while Mr. Bulldozer's first bug had been a nasty surprise, he was sure his second dog could bring them down and he'd be the hero of the cafeteria tomorrow! "Dirk to base," he called again and got the same static answer as last time, "Please tell me if Ecruteak Pokemon Center has had a kid staying there for the night," he said with a smirk and the answer was clearly puzzled to why he kept asking for sightings around pokemon centers. The answer came quickly this time, "Nurse Joy has had several kids sleeping there last night, and no sightings of Bulldozer around the Ecruteak Pokemon center either," the voice said dryly and probably found this a waste of time. "So, please tell me, how was this an alibi?" Dirk asked grinningly. It was not uncommon for trainers to sleep at a pokemon center and Alex could hardly be called a kid anymore. "Come on Ace! Show 'em what you got so we can bring justice to this Region!" Dirk encouraged his growlithe who barked and ran forward to meet Casilk. "Oh no! Watch out!" Dirk warned when he recognized the move Alex ordered, it was too late, but Ace ignored the heavy damage he got and continued through the harsh winds, lit himself on fire and slammed into Casilk sending him spiraling to the ground. Alex listened as he observed the officer. He finally looked like he was listening, maybe. Once the Pokemon Center was called, the stubborn officer continued to try to accuse him of being the Bulldozer. "I don't know what backward logic you're using, but I was one of the people staying over in Ecruteak Pokemon Center last night. They said they didn't see Bulldozer last night. Isn't that enough for you?"
The Growlithe charged toward Casilk, who was able to withstand the flaming hot wheels. He got back up and flying in the air. Seeing that the opponent might be on its last leg, Alex shrugged and sighed. "Well, at least my Beautifly was more prepared than my Whirlipede. Casilk, finish him with a Silver Wind!" His bug type had a lot of windy looking attacks at his disposal.
"Watch out for this!" The bug type buzzed at the fire type, and began flapping his wings and releasing a wind shimmering with silver from the bug's scales. "Why don't you bring your trainer to continuing education? He doesn't know how to investigate!" He hollered at the dog.

“Listen, Mr. Bulldozer.” Dirk spoke firmly to Alex. As he did so, Dirk would slowly and carefully reach around his backside to pull out a pair of handcuffs. He held them up in front of his face to show them off to Alex as though he wanted the young man to understand the full weight of the situation that he was in. “There’s only one way this is going down. You’re going to jail to do the time for all the crimes you’ve committed within Goldenrod and Ecruteak. Whether we do it the nice way or the hard way…that’s up to you!” He stated firmly. His other hand felt around for his nightstick, though Dirk wasn’t too inexperienced and knew that he couldn’t wield it while Alex gave him zero inclination to need to. Casilk’s powerful blasts of wind cut into Ace, who yelped loudly and staggered on his feet. The brave canine fought and struggled through the pain even as the sharp winds tore through his fur and left large welts along his hide. Dirk’s eyes widened in alarm, and he immediately recalled his stubborn dog, who was unfit to continue the fight. “No, Ace, no! What did Mr. Bulldozer do to you?!” He cried in alarm. Staggering on his feet, Dirk began to advance on Alex hesitantly. In his mind, even if he lost he still needed to bring this suspect into custody. “Listen…if you’re really not Mr. Bulldozer then come downtown with me and face some lines of questionings. You fit the description to a T – that’s enough of a reason to lawfully detain you, son. So you need to fess up or follow me to prove your innocence. You understand, right?”Just then, Dirk’s phone rang in his pants. He immediately fished it out of the pockets of his work pants and swiped on the screen to accept the call. “This is Officer Dirk on the line. What’s that status?” He listened as another woman spoke rather loudly on the receiving end. As she carried on, Dirk’s eyes widened and his face turned beet red. “Dirk, it’s Mr. Bulldozer! We just caught him running out of the Central Golden Bank in the middle of our CBD! His Dugtrio nearly caused the entire building to collapse!” Dirk glanced up nervously from his phone to Alex and gulped. Then, he furrowed his eyebrows together rather sternly. “Are you sure? I mean…I’ve got a suspect here with me now that fits the description of Mr. Bulldozer to a T.” The lady, obviously short on time, huffed angrily. “Yes, of course we’re sure! Bring your canines and report to Goldenrod’s CBD stat! Understood?!” After the phone call, Dirk would walk over apologetically to Alex. “Listen. I’m sorry for jumping to conclusions. Next time just…be careful letting your Pokemon attack anything in sight, ok? Here…since you won a battle against me…this is your prize money. I’ve got to run now. Duty calls!” He explained, then spun around and rushed back off towards Goldenrod’s vibrant city streets. SUCCESS!!

No Whirlwind
Alex stayed silent, and watched as his Beautifly blew a flurry of silvery wind toward the Growlithe. The stubborn officer was blabbering about going to downtown and all that silly nonsense. Thankfully, his colleague called him that they caught the real criminal in the middle of Goldenrod City.
"I told ya," Alex groaned, but thankfully his Pokemon held the fort of this battle. He wasn't planning to walk back toward Goldenrod City, not in this moment when he was preparing to challenge the next gym battle. "I had my alibi and you wouldn't believe me!" Maybe there was more to an officer investigation than Alex would have thought, but the fact that he had to brought it up himself and not the officer asking his alibi first.
After taking his prize money, he was going to ignore the officer's advise though. There seemed to be wild Pokemon that just like to attack people, and his handy Pokemon would be helpful to deter them. He thanked his bug Pokemon and returned him. Then, he continued his journey. Winter seemed to pick up and began hailing. He put a hat on and resumed, hoping to not be pelted in the head by something hard. If he had detected anything coming his way, he would send out his Whirlipede for a Screech again.
OOC: Whirlipede Screech on encounter.

The snow which lay on the ground quickly got covered in the hail which started to drum down, jumping off branches and poking holes in the snowpiles. It soon had made a thin layer but enough to crunch for each of Alex's steps and continuously for Legigent as he rolled about, pushing forward in the ever lookout for opponents to battle. He let out a high pitched scream in the hope that it would attract some attention. A nidorina had her mood soured quickly as the cold day quickly became worse with not only snow falling but hail as well. She glared at the sky as if she could get it to stop and winced as a particular big piece of ice hit her on the ear. She jumped shocked when a high screech bombarded her and she slipped and fell onto the hard ground. "This cannot be!" She growled to herself as she got back up and stomped over to where the sound had come from, she quickly found the culprit and walked straight up to Legigent. "Was that you?" She demanded to know, "you should think what you are doing, that hurt my ears and my day is bad enough as it is already!" She scolded, clearly treating the bug like he was a child. She completely ignored Alex. "I'm sorry, but I need a vent for my anger, you are going to be the receiver of it," She warned and then let out a frustrated scream over how the day treated her and sent poisonous needles flying everywhere. "This is not fair! Why does this always happen to me?! ARGH!" She stomped around, crushing the ice pebbles under her feet and kicking to the snowpiles. "And then you comes and makes it even worse! "The scream? Yeah, that was me." The bug type responded calmly to the Nidorina. "I don't have a big throat like some Pokemon, so my scream can't be that bad!" He added. Only when he finished listening to the Nidorina, then he realized that the opponent seemed to be under stress and need an outlet to let go of her stress.
He exhaled before talking a lot. "Are you okay?" I get that not everyone likes the snow. It's a rough weather out there." He tried to check on the opponent. "It helps sometimes when I let out and scream. It's kind of therapeutic, you know? Put your anger into your scream, and you would feel a little better!" He talked, trying to sound like a helpful Pokemon giving advice. He wasn't sure how the other Pokemon would interpret his words.
"Why don't you try it?" He waited for her response, and then spoke again. Then, he Screeched again, shaking the falling snow that hadn't landed yet. After that, if the Nidorina was still aggressive or needed to vent her stress in a battle, he would follow up with a Poison Tail.

"It's bad enough! Its a horrible excuse! You can always find something which are worse, but that doesn't mean you should do it yourself!" The nidorina snapped and kicked some more snow. "If I stole berries from someone else, I couldn't say it was not so bad that I did it, just because I had a friend who stole even more! Can't you see how stupid that argument is?" She demanded to know. "NO!" She practically screamed as answer to his question about her wellbeing. "Things couldn't be worse! My family is over and it has ended in huge drama, and the den is too small, and I'm supposed to feed them all but how am I going to do that with all this snow around?! And they will be even more hungry since in this cold they will need more food to keep warm, and my den will be a mess after this and I'll have nothing left of my storage for the rest of the winter! This is horrible!" She complained and groaned, how on earth should she make do? All the expectations and demands and she should even be happy and thankful about it! "If they had just given me a warning I could have prepared, but noooo, they like to be impulsive and I should just be thrilled they decided to come by!" She exclaimed and let out another frustrated scream. "I am doing that already!" She shouted angrily at Legigent when he failed at give her some advice, she stomped and then leaped at him ignoring the scream he let out. She had warned him she would let him be her punching bag to get some of the frustrations out, and his scream, which almost could sound as if he got shocked by her attack, was not going to change that. She let her claws rain down on him while screaming frustrated and continued until Legigent thought it was enough and sent her flying back. She landed in a snowpile and got completely covered in snow. It took a few minutes but then she dug her way out, looking a bit frazzled but more calm than before. "Alright, I'm alright," she said, perhaps just to herself, "thanks," she added absentminded to Legigent, "cleaning I do everyday anyway. Family always argue and they will be friends again when summer comes," she reassured herself, "but what do I do with food?"She glanced at Legigent, "Do you have any idea where I can find some in a weather like this? Anything edible will do," she asked. Legigent gains (19*50) 950 exp! (2436/2611) He also gains +1 Happiness! (+6) Gets +1 level (level 9) Learns Rollout
